Sunny Village Cafe

This weekend we celebrated our daughter’s 3rd birthday. I cannot be happier with my experience when communicating and how much the Sunny Village Cafe team not only extremely receptive, available and organized… they took care of everything. It was a great party. Great coffee, lots of fun for the kids, relaxing for the parents, low stress for me…. And very affordable. I can’t recommend this place enough for birthday parties for your littles. Glad this opened as a lovely neighborhood option for the colder months. Thank you Sunny Village cafe for organizing a zero stress birthday party for my kiddo!

When I visit my parents, I always take my daughter here. They have good sandwiches and great options for kid snacks. The room is comfy, with plenty of tables and chairs. Lastly the play equipment is great for my toddler, and she loves the toys provided. Lots of kids but not overly crowded, just enough for my toddler to make little friends and play together. Love this spot :)

We love this space! The staff is super attentive, the area is safe and clean, and they have food/coffee/a dedicated cafe space to eat. Perfect spot to meet up with parent friends and let your kids play safely.

We celebrated our daughter’s 5 birthday here! The kids had such a blast! There was plenty for everyone to enjoy and we had kids ranging from 2-6. Also, the cafe was so nice for us adults!!! Most everyone was enjoying a coffee drink. It was nice to be able to get a latte or iced coffee and not just the option of drip coffee. The staff was very helpful with setup and tear down which was so nice! This is such an asset to our neighborhood! We are lucky to have something like this!

Parking was easy which is a big deal when you have kids. The space is big enough for my 4 year old to have fun in, but not too big so I don't feel like I will lose him. Lots of play structure and activities for him to do. He loves the magnet puzzles and the ride on cars. The kid sized EL train is probably his favorite part. My 8 month old loves the baby area with smaller toys and a mirror he can stand up at. I don't worry about him being trampled by bigger kids over there. The food is also delicious so props to them for choosing excellent food people.

We stopped by to say hello and to see the space in person after being away for some time and what impressed us tremendously, was the smiles and hospitality we were greeted with the second we opened the door. Behind the counter, two incredibly friendly young ladies greeted us with the biggest smile in the world! While we walked the space, I had to grab a seasonal drink! (I saw some other posts on social media about their pumpkin late and I’ve been craving it ever since). Sure enough, it was better than I imagined! While I don’t have children, I am looking forward to coming back as often as I can - for their incredible drinks and next time, for sure, a sandwich! The beautify of this place is that you can just grab and go, so if you’re looking for a cup of joy, Sunny Village Cafe is your place! I’m really looking forward to coming back!

Had my son's first birthday party here! It was a delightful day in an awesome space. Lisa made planning it out an easy experience. Thank you all so much! We are excited to come back more on a normal day!

We have loved our experience at Sunny Village Cafe! So fun for littles. My kids can explore and play fairly independently. The food is great too!

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek and it did not disappoint. The coffee was delicious, friendly and kind staff, clean and educational toys and activities for my toddler. The list could go on. I love that most if not all the toys are wooden and there are not too many as to overwhelm the children. I was able to meet so many other local Moms and my son made new friends. I anticipate we will be frequent visitors to this location. So glad we finally got something like this in the neighborhood.

I've been looking forward to the opening of Sunny Village Cafe for at least eight months or so. They've had some challenges on the way to opening but they're finally here! I don't work on my birthday, so since I had the day off I took my toddler here in the morning. The concept of the cafe came from the owner's visit to family in Korea, where these play cafes are common. There are about five tables along the west wall and then the rest is for children's play! There are toys as well as structures, such as a little CTA rail car. There's a little play house. Various toys can be found throughout the play area. There are "yuck boxes", where you can place toys that children have put in their mouth so the staff can clean them. There's hand sanitizer in a few areas as well. There's a couple chairs and couches in the play area as well, adult-sized ones. There is also an infant section for children up to age 24 months. That section is smaller and has a couple of baby bjorns for the littlest friends. Near that area is a quiet room. I didn't get anything to eat or drink whilst here but I'm curious to try one of their -ades. They have some pastries and stuff from nearby restaurants, including Delightful Pastries across the street, I think. I'm not sure how I would have managed them both since the tables ended up getting all taken; I wasn't able to stake one out since I was following my little one around. Maybe I could have kept it with me in the play area and just held it but I wasn't sure if that was allowed. I also wasn't sure if I could order something from inside the play space or if I needed to go out to get one. The play area is enclosed so for the most part you don't have to worry about kids getting out, although there's a bit of a gap along the side and bottom of the swinging door to the cafe/play space. No shoes are allowed once you enter that door, so you'll leave them in the space outside the enclosed play space/cafe. I'd highly recommend going to the website and completing the waiver before you arrive, as that just makes it easier and gets you in to play more quickly. You must complete a waiver for both parent and child, separately, which I thought was the case but then whilst reading through it I was unsure. The cost to enter is $14, unless you have a membership or have pre-paid for a particular number of visits. They also offer private rentals for parties and stuff. I think my little one enjoyed it, and I think we'll return so she play around. Parking is relatively limited since it's in a small strip mall. But there is parking along the street around here too.

We love sunny village and we are so glad to have them in the neighborhood. My toddler always jumps at the chance to go and it's the highlight of his day, and my 5 year old always has fun here too. It's a lifesaver as a stay at home mom to have a membership here!!

I took my kids here today and had a wonderful time! The space was clean and organized. Toys were open ended and my kids could have played there all day. The coffee was also really good! I came for my kids, but I would also just come for the coffee.

Went for the first time with my wife and son last weekend. I really appreciated how clean the facility was and the no shoe policy. My 18 month year old son enjoyed the play place. My wife and I got lattes, which were good. The concept of the cafe is very unique (to me at least) and we'll be visiting more as the weather gets colder.

DO NOT RECOMMEND OR SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! I live in the neighborhood and was looking forward to trying this place. Stopped in a few weeks ago to order a latte. They turned me away and would not take my money! Also, The young cashier was not very friendly.

This is a much needed indoor kids spot for the neighborhood. It is definitely for 6 and under so be mindful of that when bringing your kids. I did not have any of the food or drink so I am specifically reviewing the play space. My daughter is 3.5 and left red faced and tired...I'd call that a win!
