Doesnt matter if you're a group of 5, or by yourself (like me), it seems like there will be a bit of a wait. But is it worth it? YES!
stood outside for about 10 mins, enjoyed some free cold water, then was moved inside to another line. On a saturday around 10:30 AM, i wasnt surprised. the line outside was small, but inside takes a bit longer. primarily because people dont study the menu and stand up there confused. I on the other hand, study the menu and preplan my eating adventures. anyway, i was in line for another 15 mins. went up to the counter, ordered. grabbed a number and went to the seat. make sure to check your bill, i originally ordered the mimosa and asked for the $1 additional shot of vodka, they rang me up for this +$1 shot of vodka, but they were out of the vodka so i couldnt get it. $1 aint much, but just keep in eye on your bill because it can get hectic here and the person at the counter didnt take it off. anyway...now we move onto the good stuff...
grabbed the rooster. this is a must get. 1 juicy piece of fried chicken on a house biscuit, with house made pickle and a slightly spicy sauce. priced at about $6, this hit the damn spot. loved the pickle! it needs more of the spicy honey sauce! biscuit was nice, not too dry and stayed together.
If the staff are wearing shirts that say "get up 'n grit it", you better get the damn grits. i was a bit skeptical as the flop of a mess came over to me in a bowl. they were cheesy, thick, but still moist. hit the spot.
food came out QUICK. server brought it over within 5 mins. bar took a bit longer. the morning mimosa with tropical juice was nice. i housed most of the meal, but needed my uber so i grabbed the rest to go.
extra points for having to go boxes set up and waiting for people - i wish every place did this!
would come back in a heart beat.
