We visited Supanniga Eating Room Tha Tien (ห้องทานข้าวสุพรรณิการ์ ท่าเตียน), a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide, so we came with high expectations. The food was excellent — authentic Thai flavors, beautifully prepared, and well presented. On taste alone, it definitely deserves recognition.
However, the overall dining experience wasn’t as impressive. The staff informed us that walk-ins are not allowed to sit at the upper deck — those seats with the nice river view must be reserved one month in advance. So despite the restaurant having great scenery, we were seated indoors without much ambiance.
Service also felt very technical and cold — efficient, but lacking warmth or hospitality. It almost felt like they were going through the motions rather than genuinely welcoming guests.
Still, the food quality is strong and worth trying — but if you want the full experience including river views, better book very early.
