"King’s Cross, which despite its central location has sometimes lacked a wide choice of top-quality restaurants, received a great boost when this terrific Thai spot opened its doors. Fans of the cuisine will be delighted by the Southern Thai dishes made with an authentic touch that feels worlds away from your local Thai takeaway. Careful preparation and quality ingredients result in big, satisfying flavours, while the endearingly unpretentious service adds to the simple vintage charm." - Andrew Young
"In a lively stretch of Caledonian Road sits this equally fun Thai restaurant. The colourful interior has plenty of personality while avoiding the usual decorative clichés, while the service team are warm, bright and eager. The chef-owner is from Phuket so southern Thai dishes are his speciality; look out for moo hong (delicious, meltingly soft pork belly) and kung sarong (crispy prawns wrapped in wheat noodles). There are house-infused gins along with plenty of cocktails – so it's no wonder the atmosphere is always so appealingly jolly." - Michelin Inspector

"When it comes to recommendations, Supawan is a spot that comes out of our mouths again and again. The understated Thai restaurant in King’s Cross is not all singing and dancing on first glance, but once you have a bite of the yum khoa tod—a crispy rice salad that tastes like a live rendition of ‘Luck Be A Lady’ is going on in your mouth—you’ll get what’s going on here. Paneang curry is deeply peanutty and peek kai yud sai are lemongrass-packed chicken wings you will not want to share. But that’s the way to do it here. Share, share, share." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
"Londoners are in a pretty fortunate position when it comes to Thai food and Supawan, at the bottom end of Cally Road, offers some of the best in the city. It’s a pretty understated restaurant, with a simple and comfortable setup that suits small groups as well as large, but the food is quite the opposite. This is slap-in-the-face stuff. Flavours, from things like the crispy rice salad and stuffed chicken wings, hit you hard and happily." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna
"King’s Cross is about as relaxing as an extended family breakfast on New Year’s Day, so it pays (in soup) to know about anywhere that’s set apart from the madness. That’s where Supawan comes in. This brilliant little Thai restaurant, 10 minutes away from St. Pancras, serves a couple of excellent noodle soups. The tom yum, loaded with chicken, prawns, rice noodles, and fresh lime, is particularly good." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna
