Super Burrito Express

Food is great, but prices are really pushing it for what it is, and service is very slow for a drive-through. The same amount and quality of Mexican food that's $11 at Habeneros is $17 here. Meat is fresh and well-seasoned and the corn tortillas are served hot, but $17 is steep for a single takeout dinner.

We very much appreciate this gem in an area with few available drive thrus! They always give us hot food, have been very accommodating to allergy questions, and the service is friendly. we've never had to loop back through because they missed something or got our order wrong. it's solid for the price and we'll definitely be back

It is becoming a disappointment to go there and get a Soft Tostada and 2/3 of it is basically lettuce this is third time in 2 weeks. Maybe a tablespoon and a 1/2 of beans, a pinch of cheese and I counted 6 pieces of tomatoes This is getting ridiculous. I probably will never come back. They're profit on this has to be 85%. Lettuce is cheap. Beans are cheap and a Tortilla is cheap.

I had it delivered. Asked for green sauce and napkins. Nothing. I also asked for tomato no pico. Well guess what? I got tomato in my burrito. Obviously can’t follow. Simple requests.

Yesterday, I ordered two burritos at the drive thru window, and when I checked my email this morning, my bank revealed that the clerk had tried to take $8042.00 out of my debit account. I am 82 years old, and the clerk must have thought that his fraud would not be detected. Do not use a debit card at the Super Burrito express.

Great food if you're looking for an authentic taco or burrito fix. I've been going here since I was a kid, and 20+ years later I'm still happy to come back. I recommend the shredded beef!

I really wish I would’ve read the reviews before ordering the vegetarian burrito. This is an abomination. It’s deeply gross and I like broccoli.. I’m giving it three stars because I bet the rest of the menu is good. Seriously though, y’all should warn people that this dish is NOT a bean/cheese/rice/etc burrito.

Came through the drive through and service was quick and easy. We ordered a breakfast burrito to split and got the sausage. Veryyyy good! Yummy ingredients like bell peppers and onions, cheese. Kinda small but worth it! $12.50 Will be back for sure.

If there is anything to say that is not positive is that the lengua & asada is overcooked. The lengua is mushy and the asada is dry. On the positive they are both extremely flavorful and there is an abundance of meat on the tacos. The service is pretty much like everyone else having to work on a Sunday, not pleasant but not rude. It's actually the cleanest fast food place that I've been to in several months now. I would visit again if in this part of town.

The bigger guy with the beard is always rude. Throws attitude every time you ask for limes that goes with my tacos and ECT. Was to lazy to cut some limes ‍ because he said the PLACE WAS BUSY???? . When there WAS hardly ANYONE THERE INSIDE.... .... LAZY. Work on your people skills or go back to school

I was going to leave a review but it looks like someone beat me to it the guy with the beard is always rude and has no customer service skills. Stay at the window until you double check your items. He seems to miss them frequently

Favorite breakfast burrito in St. John's. They do a solid job. Service is fine. Inside is meh, but I always get it to go. But damn good breakfast burrito.

The staff was helpful and courteous, so no problems there. The food was remarkably bad. Got a chicken fajita and a carnitas burrito. It was not fun to eat. Neither of us got through the first couple bites. Flavorless, chewy, soggy, spendy, sad.

I made a grub hub and I was disappointed to say the least nothing had flavor the tortas it was just nasty the tamale that I paid 4 bucks for hard as a rock I will never in my life eat here again I am not Hispanic but I cook better then them.

I utilize the drive thru. Amazing, massive breakfast burrito. Tasty other food. I usually get a chile relleño or super nachos without meat. Other family members are fans of other burritos. I'm not a fan of the vegetable burrito or super burrito, but to each his own, Pretty sure my family and I got sick from a Jamaica agua fresca there once, and maaaaybe a second time from a horchata. However, 2 iffy moments among the 2-3 times monthly we've gone here over 5 years seems not so bad. People are nice too.

So this place was the last stop of the night. I got wind that they had Churros. So decided to hit up the drive thru! I get there and I order 2 Churros! When I get to the window. The cashier asked me "What flavors would you like?" Wait what you have different flavors?" "Yes! There is Apple, Strawberry. Regular and Chocolate. I decided to try the apple and Strawberry. The guy goes to grab them and hands them to me with a big smile and says "here you can just have them"..... Me: Really are you sure! He says :Yes we are closing soon. You can just have them! I couldn't believe it! Sitting in my car doing the happy dance once again!!! I thanked him and was on my way to flavor town! The Churros were excellent. Thank you to the guy in the drive Thru. I appreciate you! One act of kindness goes along way. I will continue the kindness! Keep up the great work!

Been going here most of my life and it's always been a comfort food for me. Drove across town last night, grabbed dinner and a couple of flan. Got home, thought the flan tasted funky... and I realized it was moldy. Welp, time to find new comfort Mexican food.

Decent burrito. I've only been there once so far, but the burrito I tried was good and the service was fast and friendly. The hot sauce had a good flavor to it, but I wish it was hotter. Next time I'll have to ask and see if they have something with a bit more kick. I also always want everyone to offer an avocado based hot sauce as well, but sadly they do not have one The aqua fresca was also very tasty. Planning to head back to try some of the other menu items soon.

SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS CAUTION DO NOT EAT HERE I accidentally put my pin in and they charged me 93.00 dollars for a 13.00 super nacho. The kid at the register acted like it wasn't a big deal and I "need to wait 5 days" I have been a customer at super burrito since before they had that new building built. I just didn't appreciate the attitude from that kid like I'm not suppose to be upset about being charge 80 extra dollars. They tried to blame me for putting my pin in when it's their cheap old systems They honestly just lost a customer of like 20 years it's honestly not even good Mexican food Watch out cause I have always put my pin in and now I'm realizing they probably have been over charging me forever. Usually the kid is nice but slammed the door in my face when I was obviously annoyed about being cheated so much. I've been coming to this place for over 30 years and they used to be very good. Today I had my usual "el super" burrito and it was borderline inedible. The beef was very tough and had lots of gristle. Too bad

The portions here a ridiculously large, The drive thru can be a little tricky it's like 3 feet up from my car window #shortgirlprobz and you now need to bring your own bag or buy one from them to get your food home. Besides that veggie burrito I ordered full of broccoli (wasn't aware that would be in a Latino inspired burrito) everything has been spot on. Convenient location to grab a quick bite.

I hope your whole family (or a small army) is ready to take down these burritos, because oh how they are truly SUPER! Got to love a local place especially during COVID that has a drive through. Wonderful food and quality with SUPER portions!

Literally the best rib eye carne asada in all of pdx! I've been to lots of similar places and not one has been able to surpass this quality and quantity that is Super burrito express's rib eye carne asada. When you do go there always ask for extra meat not because they don't give you enough it's because you always want more. Once again best in all pdx! I dare you to find a better place for the price! And if you do please let me know because I gotta eat it to believe it.

I can't eat gluten due to an autoimmune disease. This place is close-ish to our house so I grabbed a menu, studied it, and called during a non-busy time and asked about the gluten-free (or rather, non-gluten-ingredient) dishes on their menu. The gentleman who answered the phone was friendly and gave me a pretty thorough run-down--he was very patient and friendly. My husband ordered through the drive-thru (he got a burrito and fries) and ordered the chicken nachos for me (mentioning that they needed to be gf). My husband enjoyed the burrito and thought the fries were meh. My nachos were pretty bland and I was disappointed to find some french fries at the bottom of the container (it's a closed container, so they didn't fall in from my husband's meal). The french fries are cooked in a fryer with gluteny items, so I got some guaranteed cross-contamination that's currently kicking my insides around. I don't think this is a bad restaurant, but if you have food allergies, sensitivities, or related auto-immune disorders, it's probably not the place for you. Since I can't safely go here again and the food was meh, I'd give it two stars. However, my husband will likely go back because he enjoyed his burrito, so I'm giving it a total of three stars.

I always get the Oregon Special burrito here, at the drive thru, and Ive always gotten great food at a good price. The staff is nice and the food is good, what more could I want?

Love this place! Everything is exceptional! I've been going here since I was at least 8 and pretty much all the same people work here that worked in the old building when I was little. Stay strong and hope you prosper for a long time Super Burrito!

Have been coming here for years, but after my last experience I won't be back! Got a chicken burrito, tasted great. However shortly after I ate it, I began having food poisoning symptoms for the next 24 hours. So disappointing!

I tried the machaca burrito it was good, my only issue with this and other places of Mexican food, is the cheese, I don't understand, why they use American cheese instead of Mexican white cheese My dauther tried the sausage and egg burrito was good too.

On our second visit here I decided to try their steak picado burrito, wish I would have tried something else! I could hardly eat most of the burrito because the meat was so tough that I couldn't chew hardly any of it and has to spit most of it out.

Lots of burrito choices, pretty good flavors and fast service. I specially love the steak fajita burrito and the breakfast burrito, highly recommend.

Ok you've got to believe me when I say this...this was hands down the best burrito I have ever had in my entire life. I've been eating burritos for about 30 years and I knew from the first bite I was gonna finish this puppy. I got the carne asada burrito it was jammed packed with meat. The service was great and I will 100% go back even though it is no where near my house or places I frequent. It's worth the drive even in traffic. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Signed a very happy customer.

Super burrito is my go to in Milwaukie for a satisfying burrito. They make huge chicken burritos. They add guacamole inside which makes them nice and savory. They have been in Milwaukie for years and are a family run business!

My fiancée ate there today and had a fish burrito. She's now home with extreme stomach pain. She says she knows is exactly the fish in the burrito because she keeps burping it. I hate to leave a review like this for a restaurant. That said, if you're going to handle seafood you better be absolutely careful

Delicious al pastor tacos! We have been picking up food from Super Burrito a few times a month since we moved to Oregon 7 years ago. We have always been treated well and have never had a bad meal. Burritos are generous and their red and green hot sauces are great! One reviewer said there aren't any Mexicans ordering food here - wrong! My hubby is Mexican just FYI! Update: Still love SB but recently we've had issues with getting the wrong order. Tonight got carnitas tacos and not al pastor. BOOO

I used to look forward to coming here to grab a quick bite or bring home supper, but the last few times it has been bad, worse and tonight...terrible. I don't know if they've changed ownership or management but it's not good. Tonight to super nacho was so unappealing the dogs got it. I called to say something and the guy pretended to speak no English.

Perfect neighborhood Mexican food. They really are fast and the drive-through is very convenient. Try the bean and cheese burrito with green sauce, the super burrito, and any of the tacos. Delicious and inexpensive!

I grew up in Milwaukie and have been going to SBE since they were in the original A-Frame. I introduced my husband to it years ago. Do we eat here like 3 times a week? Yes. The fill of the burritos fluctuates, so does the price slightly (we always get the same thing and it varies by a dollar), and about once a month part of the order is completely wrong. Just like anywhere, things are not perfect and things have changed. But we love it and it's still WAY less expensive and more filling (portions are large) than anywhere else we've been.

I've been coming since this place opened at least 20 years ago. The hard shell tacos with shredded beef are the best. It's hard to beat a homemade taco shell. The super nachos and burritos are enormous and excellent! Great food for the price. Everyone in Milwaukie knows Super Burrito!

I came here on my lunch and it took me awhile cause the menu is huge(that's what she said)!!! I ended getting a shrimp taco and crunch hard taco and both were good! I love also when I go to a Tavi place and they have veggies and green sauce and red sauce home made! I saw a man order a tostada And I immediately was in regret, cause damn it looked good!!! They put plenty of meat into the tacos too!!! Definitely come back !

Nothing fancy but a good place for some giant burritos and solid tacos. I really enjoyed my machaca burrito and cheese fries. I've also had the breakfast burritos here and they are also top flight. While there is nothing fancy about this place they serve up authentic Mexican food. Portions are gigantic.

Hands down worst burritos we've ever had. I didn't think you could mess up making a burrito....until I gave this place a chance. Overpriced and slop food. This drive thru makes Taco Bell look like a Michelin 3-Star.

Super Burrito Express is reliable, inexpensive, delicious, and, yes, express (fast). I grew up in San Diego, California, and, of the many Mexican fast casual restaurants in Portland/Milwaukie, Super Burrito Express reminds me the most of some of my favorite late-night Mexican spots in Sunny San Diego: simple surroundings, good salsa bar, trays, yellow paper, horchata, comforting portions--even Mexican soccer on TV.

I hit up the drive-through on my way home. There was no line and I got straight up to the menu board. I sat there in silence wondering if they were open. it took about one minute before anybody greeted me, I was thinking that maybe the drive-through wasn't working. The order taker was cliche, I asked "what is in the super burrito" and he responded "m'kay, anything else?" No, no, that was a question not an order. I was thinking about feeding my kids today but with a meat quesadilla being $6 with no sides....they can fend for themselves. I got two burritos, one carnitas and the other asada, they are $7 something each. I pulled up to the window, well really it was a wall facing me and a window up so high a semi driver could have had a comfortable exchange here but not me. I was completely blocked, I couldn't see anything inside but could hear lots of playful employees. Finally a man appeared after a few minutes, didn't greet me, took my money and sent me on my way. My husband says this place is "definitely better than Don Pedro's, for sure!" The carnitas were soft and falling apart perfectly. Next time I will go inside for a better look, prices are pretty high but they have the market cornered over here in this part of Milwaukie. I will go back.

Awesome beef bean and cheese burrito!! Also a fan of the tacos. Sadly I just moved away from the area but will always make it a point to stop there when I go back. Super friendly staff.

I got a chicken fajita burrito and it was awful. The chicken was tasteless and watery. My mom got a chicken taco salad, same deal. My husband got a fish burrito that he said was fine. My toddler loves cheeseburgers, so I ordered one for her (I've never done that in a Mexican restaurant) and the burger was really good, hence the three stars. The fries with cheese and jalapenos were also good.

Best burritos in town. Always fresh ingredients and friendly service. you're assured a healthy dose of Mexican culture in every bite. I'm half Mexican so I can say this with confidence - the gringos just don't cut it when it comes to making authentic Mexican cuisine. Sure we believe we can but if our heritage isn't from the source it just doesn't cut it. Our family respectfully refers to this restaurant as "the Burrito Barn" and love everything on the menu. It's not as express as you would surmise from the name - you need to wait but it's more than worth the wait. From the cheesy carne asade fries to the over the top shrimp tostada salad to the freshly made churros they have it all. So don't waste your energy going to fast food places or trusting a white guy to make a taco - nope. Get over to Super Burrito Express, go thru the drive thru or walk up in person and expect to be wowed.

Here's our (now, not so) recent drive-thru experience [14 July 2021.] The order was for two chili Relleno burritos plus taquitos. The bill came to $23.70, which seemed excessive. However, we paid no more thought to the purchase in our rush to get home. Once home, we realized that we didn't receive two chile relleno burritos and instead were sent off with two Oregon Specials. Mistakes happen, but our previous experience over the phone always resulted in a negative interaction and a particular staffer's convenient inability to speak English. We decided to return the order in person, hoping for a positive outcome. Unfortunately, that is not what we received. The cook who prepared our original order offered derogatory Spanish from the kitchen, believing this mestizo doesn't understand Spanish. I'm not too fond of that treatment and lack of respect. Undeterred, we await our replacement order which came with the staffer mentioned above's typical aloofness and without apology. So disappointing. As a long-time customer (A-Frame time), I too often leave Super Burrito Express shaking my head and wondering why I choose to come back at all, primarily when addressed as an amigo. Friend? Really. That's not how we left feeling that we were friends, which stains the restaurant's reputation.

Absolutely will not come back after getting a burrito that was taken from the grease dripping off their grill. How disappointing when you look forward to a good authentic Mexican food and all you get is Slop. They charge quite a bit and no quality. I will be looking for somewhere else to eat Mexican food.

Super Burrito Express has my favorite breakfast burrito on earth. It's absolutely perfect with eggs, potatoes, bell peppers, meat and the right amount of cheese. Add some of their salsa and you have yourself a little packet of happiness. Do something nice for yourself today. Get a breakfast burrito.

This place is terrible, every single thing I got was completely inedible & I spent $21. Total waste if money, I had to throw everything away. The taquitos were rock hard & seemed like a week old, tacos were soggy & completely fell apart, tamale meat was chewy & fatty.

Excellent!!! The Super Nachos is by far the best! We have been eating here for 15 years! It's no wonder they have been in business for over 20 years.
