Super Duper Burger in Berkeley is an excellent spot for a quick and tasty meal right near campus. The burgers are flavorful and juicy, with fresh toppings and a great variety of options—including veggie and chicken sandwiches. I love their crispy garlic fries and the self-serve pickles are a fun bonus! The shakes are creamy and made with organic Straus dairy, though sometimes they can be a bit runny. The vibe is lively and casual, and the staff consistently provides friendly service. Overall, a satisfying experience and a solid choice for burger lovers in Berkeley.

Today i thought the burger and fries were awesome! Usually burger is too greasy but not today. Usually they give little amount of fries but not today. Customer service was terrific! My only issue was the chocolate milkshake. It is summertime and they gave me my shake right away while waiting to receive my food order 10 minutes later so by the time i came home; 5 minutes after that, milkshake was all liquid. I prefer to receive my shake when food order is ready because i like to have my shake while eating; otherwise today did not disappoint.

Wow. Just wow. These memories will last lifetime. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was going to have a blast. The atmosphere is electric. Each table full of fun and smiles accompanied by large tender patties and free pickles. I’m in awe. Come here.

Food was good just too much oil....but flavor was good

Best burger I’ve had in a long time! This burger was juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection and I cannot wait to go back. The garlic fries were delicious with fresh parmesan cheese and the right amount of garlic. For me I prefer to order them extra crispy…

Google
The burger and fries were obesity inducing with the amount of oil they included. The garlic cheesy fries were just oily fries with a bunch of wet shredded cheese on top of it, and I couldn’t bring myself to finish them. The seasonal lemon berry cheesecake milkshake was decent though

A Sad Cal Day Tale Very disheartening experience at Super Duper Burgers yesterday. I came in amidst a rush with a group of friends and ordered a burger and chocolate shake. We all sat at a table to await our orders – my friend brought me over my paper bag but, alas, only a burger was inside. I went to the counter to inquire about my missing shake. Evidently, the staff were quite overwhelmed by the number of people in the shop– and hastily informed me my friend had picked it up. I brought said friend over to explain that it was not him who had snagged this coveted chocolate shake. The staff dismissed our story and we elected not to bother them anymore and order a new one. My friend kindly bought me second chocolate shake – though made my ticket name “idiot” in reference to the fact I was fixated on this particular milkshake. He was not describing the staff of Super Duper, but rather thought it would be amusing if I came to the counter and claimed my name as “idiot.” Moments later, I received a text from the restaurant that my order was ready. I again trekked to the counter and one of the staff members – a woman I had spoken to before – said she had something for me. She left and came back with a hefty security guard and told him to escort my out of the establishment. Outside, he explained he was just following orders and conceded that I was not acting “plastered.” Neither of my orders were refunded – and I finished my burger on the curb as my friend tried to talk to the management to understand what had occurred. To him – they claimed I was drunk and calling them inappropriate names. The former part was true – I was drunk – but not to the extent where I would ever conduct myself in a disrespectful matter, particularly towards the staff of hectic restaurant. Intoxicated or not, it is not in my nature to act belligerently towards strangers. All I wanted was a chocolate shake – instead, I spent 15 dollars on nothing but the erroneous marring of my character.

I'm writing this review out of deep frustration and disappointment with Super Duper Burgers. My experiences, particularly at this location and others, have led me to believe there's a significant issue with discrimination and a lack of diversity within the company's hiring practices. It seems they genuinely don't care about Black people. Every time I've visited various Super Duper Burgers locations, including this one, I've observed a striking lack of diversity among the staff and management, who consistently appear to be of one race. This pattern, combined with what I perceive as consistently poor customer service and a repeated inability to get even the most basic food orders correct, has made me feel unwelcome and discriminated against. I no longer feel comfortable spending my money here. If Super Duper Burgers is unwilling to address these issues and actively work towards more inclusive hiring practices, then I believe others who value diversity and fair treatment should also reconsider supporting this company.

Yelp
***Burger - 4 Stars, I gave an extra star for the AYCE Pickles, because I LOVE pickles and they were fresh and tasty!!!*** Came in for a quick bit before the Cal Game. Got the Lettuce Wrap Super Burger, 2 Patties, Fried Egg, Bacon and Grilled Onions with the Super Aioli Sauce, tasted great. You ordered on a tablet and pay, go find a table and wait for them to call your name!!! The restaurant was full and we got our order pretty fast about 15mins. They have self severed soda machines. AYCD!!! LOL!!! They have a small upstairs area with tables. Here is my favorite part of this burger place, they let you get as much as you want on the pickles. They have jags and jags of it sitting with the utensils and ketchup and mustard. AYCE Pickles, HELL YEA!!!! Oh, they are really good!!!

Yelp
Truthfully, as far as burger places go, this was pretty okay. It's somewhere between in-n-out and better burger restaurants. The patties are the standard size most places have, which makes you wonder, why pay so much money for a burger? My friend and I went in at a time where it wasn't very busy, around 1 pm. There are kiosks where you place your order. The people behind the counter are friendly and welcome you while offering help if one needs it. I ordered the burger with bacon and egg (it was one of their specials), a side of garlic fries, and extra of the sauce on the side because I love sauces. They have pickles in containers to the left of the kiosk, where you can help yourself. I love pickles, but these weren't that great. They were overwhelmingly vinegary with a kick from the peppers they use in the brine. It needed something more, like a little more salt, peppercorn, or dill. It wasn't very enjoyable for me. The burger itself, as I said, tasted very similar to an in-n-out burger, but had a slightly different seasoning. A plus is that they know how to cook their burgers! I was pleasantly surprised at the perfect medium patty. The fries really did save the day, with the perfect amount of garlic and the cheese added to the flavor as well. The super duper sauce tastes like a thicker caesar salad dressing, which wasn't my favorite, because although I love caesar salad, it's odd for a burger place to do without giving a proper description of it. It also didn't add much to the burger experience as a whole because you only get the occasional acidity from it while eating the burger. The vegan mayo was good. The star that saved the show was the chipotle aioli! I love a good chipotle aioli, and this one tasted just like the one I make back home. It was perfect, with the right amount of spice to it. If it weren't for this, I would probably never think of coming back here. I paid about 23 bucks for the food, which is what I would pay at Denny's and probably receive a very similar experience but without the garlic and chipotle aioli. It's a cute little place though, and it has a pretty good vibe with how the format is, with seating up above that overlooks the "restaurant." Would recommend for the chipotle aioli and fries, and I would probably come back here for that.

Yelp
The seasonal truffle burger (I got a veggie patty) is VERY GOOD, though it was excessively greasy. Your hands will be shiny afterwards. But maybe well moisturized? The hazelnut milkshake is my favorite of all their seasonal flavors. Highly recommend. This location is a bit dirtier than other Super Dupers, but the service is still excellent. I wish their upstairs area was better maintained.

Yelp
Monday, December 16th, 2024 18:00 VEGGIE BURGER ($8.50) (no super sauce): veggie patty, hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, bun - patty appeared to be made of mostly rice and some corn, peas and carrots bound together with some kind of batter - I wish there was more hummus - cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions were fresh NAKED BIRD ($8.25) (classic): fried chicken thigh, apple slaw - small portion for the price - batter was not crispy - thigh was tender and had a good amount of flavor - apple slaw (had apples, lettuce, red onions, celery, etc.) was refreshing Service: - I ordered on Snackpass and picked up my order at the counter - staff was friendly Ambiance: - hip and social environment - there's more seating on the second floor that is more private

Yelp
Ordered a burger and it was RARE. Hate to leave a poor review, but this was seriously so gross!!!

Yelp
I visited this place after a long day of classes, and I am in love with the juiciness of their patties! I realized that the mini burger was already more filling than the super burger, but the flavor was still very exquisite. Sauces were yummy, and it pairs so well dipping with both the burger and their signature fries. I ticked off a star due to the milkshake being somewhat runny (maybe because it was a limited-edition Strawberry Shortcake at the time yet it takes time to mix in with the fresh strawberries, though the taste is surprisingly creamy. Anyway, if you love burgers and want to steer away a bit from other known burger chain restaurants, then this place is worth the try!

Yelp
Best burger place i have ever had. oh my god. come here immediately. servers are nice. the place has rlly nice decor and environment. just everything in general is amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Delicious Burgers!!! Surprisingly, a "Mini" is the size of a "Regular" burger, in my opinion! The kiosk was easy to use, and seemed to streamline having to wait in a long line for service. I'll definitely visit here again, especially for the truffle fries and savory milkshake! Thank you Super Duper Burgers!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite burger joints! I got the mini burger. My bf got the spicy chicken sandwich (The Bird). We shared the french fries with 3 dipping sauces (super sauce, homemade mayo and chipotle aioli). Everything was delicious! Everything tasted fresh! I love the dipping sauces. They cost extra but I always get it cause they're so tasty with the fries and burgers! The only down side is that they are on the pricier side. The burgers are tiny but they taste so good!
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
The burger is very flavorful but also on the oily side, which made it very filling. I ordered the super duper burger. The meat was juicy but a bit salty. The cheese was melted perfectly! The service was good. When ordering online, the cashier was willing to help with any questions. The ambiance is very chill and casual. A good place to eat lunch.

Yelp
Super Duper Burgers is most definitely very high on my list of favorite burger places! It never disappoints and is so flavorful. Fries are very good as well (try the garlic ones)! And don't forget to try their pickles! This location is pretty spacious and has an upper floor with seating available as well (it can get pretty hot up there on hot days though!) Service is pretty fast and workers are friendly.

Carlo D.

Yelp
Great burger, great fries, most refreshing milkshake I've ever had. That's right I said refreshing. Also near the end of our meal another customer spilled his milkshake all over himself and a worker gave him a new one right away. Consider me a satisfied customer if you will.

Yelp
I got a vegetarian burger. It was okay. I added an egg which really gave it more of a little razzle dazzle. The service was fast even though they were packed so I was extremely happy. The restaurant was itself was cute. I like how they had an upstairs area to eat at. What I didn't like was how crowded it was. If you're COVID cautious this isn't the place for you. It's filled with college students and tourist. I was a little taken back by how many customers were coughing and touching the condiments. The customer service in general was just okay. They appeared super busy so I'd like to give them grace. I probably won't return though so this particular location because it wasn't appealing overall.
google avatar

Yelp
Delish burgers. The mini burger is in my opinion the size of a normal burger lol but that's just me. The garlic fries are great too. The prices are reasonable as well. They have a seasonal banana shake that I definitely want to come back for!

Yelp
If I could eat this 4 times out the week and it have no direct impact on my weight and health, I WOULD. Without question!!!! This is by far one of my top 3 favorite burger places to eat at!!! The freshness of the meat, the customer service (y'all know that's a BIG thing for me!) and the overall dining experience is TOP LEVEL GRAND EATING!!! Whether you stop in at the Emeryville location at the Public Market, or hit the drive through at the Veranda in Concord, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my missus. I had the Plobano Burger (around $11) and Garlic fries (around $7) while she had the Super Duper Burger (around $12) and jalapeno fries (around $7). The Plobano burger was very flavorful, the avocados worked well with the meat and jalapenos. The Garlic Fries were very tasty though the cheese could have been a bit more melted. My missus also enjoyed her food and was very satisfied when she finished. Be sure to have napkins ready since the burgers are a bit greasy. If you are looking for a place to have a quick and tasty lunch then I would recommend coming here.

Yelp
Always drove by the Concord location, but never got a chance to try until my friend was craving burgers for lunch. We got there at the right time before the lunch rush. Self check out is available and very easy to navigate. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and my friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. We almost had regret as we kept seeing hamburgers coming out that looked SO GOOD. (Next time!) place was kept clean, and is a good sized space. We did not feel cramped even when a rush of people came. The grilled sandwich was soooo good, and didn't hurt my already upset stomach. Would definitely come back to this place and try a hamburger with a milkshake.

Yelp
Great burgers at a convenient location! This spot is close to campus and serves great food. I got the oreo shake and the regular burger. The oreo shake was a bit on the sweeter side but the bits of cookie paired well with the shake in all. I also recommend not getting the kiddie size because there is simply not enough. Size up for more fun! The regular burger was a good size. On top of that, the patties and the cheese paired well together and it was delectable. I also got the garlic fries which were amazing. The sourness of the cheese paired very well with the crunch of the fries. Overall, it's amazing food for fairly expensive prices. However, it is definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Great beef burgers and fries! Organic, locally sourced, all that jazz at super duper~ (tldr I liked the mini burger and regular fries the best) The mini burger was a pretty good size and filling amount. At first glance everything looked kinda small on the tray but in the end it was was enough food for us. First off, the bread bun was so amazing. It was so soft and fluffy, with great spring and air bubbles inside. Maybe the best burger bun I've had. It was delicious, and overall with the patty and veggies, simply good. Fresh. The beef patty tasted great and the meat was good quality. The super burger comes with an additional patty (two patties total) and is more heavier to eat, with more grease and mess, but is very satisfying to bite into. Mmmmm. Good for big appetites! The fries were so crisp and delicious, even when they cooled down. It was great from start to finish. Good flavor, not too salty. Good crunch and fluff inside. The garlic fries were aromatic, though the unmelted cheese was so-so for me. It was in that weird lingering state of being a bit melted but also not melted; so for me I'd recommend the regular fries. I like that they have housemade pickles on the side at the condiment section, with ketchup and mustard available. The milkshake (made with Straus) was okay for me; flavor was a bit light. The malt powder was literally just sprinkled on top which was disappointing. The chocolate dipped cone (I had a swirl) was also just okay for me. Felt more icy than creamy. Flavor was not very strong. Chocolate was running everywhere from the moment I received the cone. And once I got through the chocolate shell, the soft serve was a pool inside, melting rapidly. It was super messy to eat. super duper messy lmao I was also hyped to see the bird's chicken sandwich offered here as I was never able to make it to their Berkeley location before it closed down. Unfortunately it was just ok. Maybe a letdown. I had the spicy and it was really hot with lots of spicy oil dripping out. Not really flavorful, just tons of heat. It was a chicken thigh with a slaw that I sadly didn't like the taste of. Lots of celery bits that were tough to chew. Oh well. Overall food was pretty good depending on what you get. Employees can be kinda grouchy and cold. Whoever was manning the soft serve cone station would angrily shout names and shove the cone into the customer's hand, not caring if they made a mess or not. The vibe was not there.

Yelp
My friends and I visited this place on a rainy day and it was a pretty chill experience. There was a lot of seating available, including an upstairs area on one side of the restaurant. We all ordered through the kiosks and our food was ready in a decent amount of time. I ordered the Super burger w an add-on of mushrooms and a portion of garlic fries. I also got a (seasonal?) coffee and cookie crumble milkshake in a size mini. The burgers and fries were okay at best. I think I had high hopes going into it because I've heard that this place is great. However, it was just too greasy for me and it made the meal feel a lot heavier. I could literally see the oil coating my fries and pooling around my burger. As someone who really loves burgers, I was a little disappointed by the greasiness. I also think normal fries would be a better choice than the garlic fries. I love garlic and cheese as much as the next person, but they didn't add a lot to the fries in my opinion. The restaurant also provides their own home-made pickles but my friends and I were divided over whether they were actually good or plain odd. They don't taste like a traditional pickle but I thought they were good. As for the shake, it was easily one of the best shakes in my life! I'm sad I only got a small size but it was super yummy and satisfied my sweet tooth. Overall, the ambience was nice and the workers were super kind, but I would probably only come back for the shakes or other desserts.

Yelp
Super Duper, doopity doo... How many ways can we sing about the happiness of a burger?! Right off the bat, I'm giving you a diners tip... Ask for more pickles. They are housemaid, have a nice little bite to them which is completely unexpected, but it works with the burger! Super Duper burgers is located on the corner, and parking is going to be challenging, but where in Berkeley isn't parking challenging?! The burgers are fairly reasonally priced, grilled perfectly, and seriously worth a stop for this deliciousness. You can pretty much order your burger it seems like a zillion different ways, with so many different offerings to make your burger experience just yours. Did I mention that the pickles are pretty tasty but they definitely pack a punch?! On a really good cheeseburger it's the perfect accompaniment. I ordered their double cheeseburger, and left off most of the produce options. The burger was nice and juicy, The cheese while American cheese, just blended well with a seasoned burger and tasty pickles. Each bite was delicious. Reasonably priced, open decent hours, they serve up a burger that will make you want to go back for more.

Yelp
Corner spot and on main Telegraph! Burgers and beer with delectable pickles offered up on the counter bar to pair with. I've always been a fan on Super Duper franchise! Mini burgers - a fun sized concept that is much adorned with garlic fries! Shakes and ice cream is great for the afternoon snack or refreshment. I love the open space and comfy spaciousness of this burger place!

Yelp
I always love super duper... their burgers are cooked perfect and them pickles!!! I had my usual double burger fries and splurged on a chocolate milkshake.... Low light was milkshake it was basically chocolate milk ....it was a hot day and maybe machine had been overworked?!!! Fries were consistent and pretty good.... My other issue was burger had too much salt, I know it's easy to do but first time at this chain I've had that ...service was acceptable ... it's a burger joint!!! I'll continue to frequent other locations but maybe not here....BTW I usually give them a 4...

Yelp
Emma and Sierra had great customer service! Super yummy food as well. Good location, very close to UC Berkeley campus. Nice place to stop and eat healthy fast food.

Yelp
Went here for the first time today and the service was incredible. The staff were very attentive and helpful while I was there. Tried the truffle burger and it was simply delicious. Would come back, definitely recommend.

Yelp
This review is for the Berkeley ( UC Berkeley) location. I accidentally ordered online at this location but glad I did . This location closes at 9pm instead of 10 pm . I was lucky that staff Yolanda saw me knocking and despite cleaning came to the door to check on me. She could have easily ignored me. Restaurant Manager Emma, Yolanda and Dysere were extremely kind, polite and provided excellent customer service even after hours. They looked for my order and handed my food with a smile. They did not rush me and even entertained my extra pickle request. I'll definitely come back to this location just because I know that staff at this location is kind, caring and helpful . Thank you .

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Their burgers and sandwiches are delicious! I particularly love the spicy chicken sandwich....careful it can be real spicy.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best places of hamburgers near the UC campus. I usually order thru snack pass and and they don't take so long to prepare the orders.

Yelp
We visited here with a group of five one afternoon. The interior is simple - clean and minimal, with lots of light, windows, and white. The menu is also somewhat minimal - they have a burger, a cheeseburger, a chicken sandwich, and fries or a salad. They had a special burger on the menu, but it was sold out by the time we visited just after lunchtime. They also have shakes, which we didn't try. The pickles here were amazing, and are house-made and a little spicy. The buns/bread and the meat patties were delicious, and the burgers, even if simple, were very flavorful. The pricing is slightly above average, but still not bad for the area (downtown Berkeley in this case). They do have many other locations around the Bay Area, especially in San Francisco. I do agree with the other reviews that the fries here are very much average. They need to be brought out hot and have some salt or other spice, to avoid the blandness that seems to be the case with all the fries that were ordered during our visit. Service was also slow, but they seemed to be short staffed during our visit, so that may change when you visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Had their fried chicken sandwich AKA "The Bird". It was a delicious fried chicken sandwich, but I definitely felt it was slightly overpriced for the portion size I was getting ($10). However it's to be expected as they try to source their ingredients responsibly. Lots of seats and tables so it's a solid hangout spot. Spacious and has a restroom too. They also offer free flow soft drinks and pickled toppings. You order on the kiosks and the service was quick (got my burger in ~3 mins).
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
Super duper burgers, as the name suggests, are known for their burgers. It is also impressive that they have high standards in preparing their menu items. Super Duper only serves vegetarian fed sustainable beef, farm raised cage free chickens, artisanal bread, organic eggs, organic soft serve and home made pickles. There are many locations of this brand in the San Francisco area. I visited this eatery in Berkeley after lunch at another spot. The impetus for the visit was that I could get a fresh chocolate dipped ice cream cone (a product that is getting harder to find). I got the kid's vanilla ice cream dipped cone. It was regular chocolate and really hit the spot. If they want to up the game, they should provide dark chocolate for dipping. Now, I got to go back to try their burgers.
google avatar

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
Super duper is definitely the spot to get your burger full. I highly recommend the 3 dips for $1.50 to eat with your fries and burger. The 3 dips is the way to go for the true super super burger experience. They have free in house made pickles that are very tasty Parking is hard to find anywhere in Berkeley . Price is reasonable with inflation and Covid
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Located conveniently a block or so away from campus. Solid "fast food" burger option to try. I'd say it's a more gourmet version of In n out. That comes w a higher price point and more options of burgers + option of chicken burgers here as well. Easy place to order To-go and bring them somewhere. It wasn't too crowded when we went, but the wait was unusually long for some reason. Quality is pretty good and standard for a burger joint Super burger: juicy, cooked well, sauce was a good touch & tied the burger together 7.5/10 Spicy chicken sandwich: good spice, wish is was crispier, the sauce made the chicken less dry 8/10 Garlic fries = really garlicky (we loved that) , but oiler than we expected 7/10

Yelp
When In Rome... college campus food alley "Rome" that is....you must give it the old "college try" and have a Super Duper burger that even your Mom would approve of! Take a gander at the marketing creative alone... 'Artisan Bun', 'Organic Eggs', 'Farm-raised Chicken'', 'Homemade Pickles', 'Organic Soft-Serve' - I mean what does that even entail??? Fresh ingredients, homemade taste, reasonably priced, and happy hour fries - oh MY! If you look at the menu plastered on the wall you won't see the "secret menu" but can find it when scanning the QR Wilde. You know... that menu almost all restaurants have to lure customers in... then bait them with cookies (web of course) and offer a menu that has two or three "special" items which requires you to enter your information in to get that exclusive deal - well this is one but worth it. I had the "secret burger" topped with a fried egg and and bacon and a side of garlic fries to ignite the cholesterol train that has been on time weekly recently encouraging the taste buds to try new things. The burger was beyond juicy and flavorful, and super duper messy which was guaranteed but worth every finger lick as I savored each bite I took. The garlic fries were good, just needed a sauce other than ketchup to break up the extreme garlic flavor when pairing with the burger. Note to kitchen... concoct a sauce that is light and not ketchup, to cut the garlic vampire vibes while eating. Would recommend especially for the homemade pickles! Yum on a bun fo shizzle!

Yelp
Eight bucks for your basic takeout burger, cooked to order, a pretty good value. Great big jars of free pickle spears! Our fries sat for a few minutes waiting for the burgers to catch up so they were room temp when received, disappointing. The fried chicken sandwich was described as served on a brioche bun but it was obviously just a plain old hamburger bun. Definitely earns its place in the neighborhood, though in my opinion "A+ Burger" just down the street has outdoor seating and edges Super Duper out flavor-wise due to the premium ingredients they use.

Zed Z.

Yelp
I'm always weary of foodies doing collabs with spots sometimes it's a SUPER hit then other times it's just a paid marketing thing. This one definitely is a paid thing. I got the smack sensi burger/Sandwhich idk what to call it bc it's a burger on ciabatta bread with chipotle mayo and avocado lol. My burger/Sandwhich was HELLLLLAAAAA salty. It overpowered the sandwich and the chipotle sauce wasn't making it any better. Couldn't really taste the cheese either or the avocado. The grilled red onions were good thankfully they were raw. This is my second time getting super duper both times have been a miss. Pickles should be cold and crisp but these were out and room temp mh. Also this 1 burger was $17! My go to will always be 1. In n out 2. Smack burgers (whenever they're open) 3. Sparkys 4. Five guys

Yelp
The quality of the food changes each time I go. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's not.

Yelp
I love super duper. It is a berkeley classic, great burgers. I have never eaten in the restaurant before but I always go in to pick up and its super spacious with a friendly welcoming vibe. I always order through snackpass and I would get the mini burger and garlic fries. The GARLIC FRIES are so garlicy spicy but so good because they use fresh garlic. The burger is super juicy and just a good burger. Overall 10/10 I miss super duper.

Yelp
excellent customer service provided by Brenda . ambiance was pleasant . definitely will return 5 stars

Yelp
Just like the one in San Francisco, except that it is located in Berkeley, on a corner. Same great food, healthy, and still a bit on the pricey side. The service, however, was mediocre and the customers that day were also mediocre & boring. While its not a casual dining restaurant, it's also not one that I would run to. It's good, but not a regular every day go to place.

Yelp
As an avid fan of Super Duper, I was shocked that it took me this long to figure out they were offering hot Nashville style chicken sandwiches. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich courtesy of The Bird. I heard many great things about the Bird which I believe is based in SF. The chicken was delightfully crispy with a nuance of sweetness, but there was definitely a bit more oil than I would have liked. Usually I go to World Famous Hotboys for my hot chicken fix, and by now means is this anywhere close. However, it's a pretty delicious sandwich and will definitely more than satisfy a chicken craving any day. On to the burgers, they're good! The meat quality is decent, and the patties are always juicy. Super Duper also offers their pickles (a great complement to the fatty burgers) gratis via a self-service station. All in all, Super Duper is always a win in my book. 5/5!

Yelp
I don't know if it was that I was starving, nah I think it's just that they're really, really good burgers. My husband, my son & I were walking down Telegraph & decided to grab something to eat. I ordered the mini burger and my boys ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Took a bite of their spicy chicken sandwich... Ughhh wish I had ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, no the burger, no the spicy chicken sandwich, no ughhhhh they were both so soooooo good!

Yelp
Good burgers that satisfy the job when hungry, this place is the place for flavour. Very straight forward when ordering; it does take a long time if you go in and order in person, so keep that in mind. I personally order online and still arrive and several times my order was not in after was told by technology that my stuff was ready. The place is spacious with plenty of cool seating including the top floor. Customer service is always great, they answer questions in regards to the menu, and always make an effort to go a little along the way. My usual is the vegetarian burger and garlic fries; along with a side of ketchup and mustard and pickles. I've never had an issue with my food and it always taste extraordinary. I've also had their meat burgers and are quite juicy and nice. Also I feel the price is good for what we are getting. From time to time I pay a little visit to treat myself.

Yelp
Their garlic fries is a MUST GET. It's full of garlicky flavor and super tasty. There's nothing too special about their burgers but it did hit the spot. I love their homemade pickles too (free to grab by their counter). The employees there are very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Walked in, walked straight to the iPad to order. The system is very simple to use and wastes no time. ApplePay for payment took seconds, the wait for the food was not long at all. There's two levels, I sat on the second overlooking some of the food traffic outside and the entire place. The chocolate shake was a great choice, I also chose the spicy chicken sandwich on ciabatta which was crispy, spicy and crunchy. My little sisters got the smallest option I believe it was the mini burgers, which were not mini at all but still fairly priced for everything. However, keep in mind Berkeley has a city tax added to the order which was not a problem for me personally but it will show up at the end of the order right before paying on the breakdown of the order.

Yelp
Super Duper + The Bird = Super^2 Duper! It was very cool to see the menu crossover when I walked in today. Super Duper is the first restaurant I visited when I moved to Berkeley three years ago. This location has consistent service and great food quality along with a clean interior. I always go for the Super Duper Burger, which tastes great but does run a little expensive. I can tell they use quality ingredients and it's definitely a good burger, yet still hard to justify the price especially when compared to In-N-Out. I'll still come by for a bite every so often, it's a solid meal and convenient location!

Yelp
Super duper alright. The juicy, greasy burgers just the way I like it. The bun to the burger has a sweet and light flavor that adds a good balance the the juiciness of the burger. The super duper sauce is nice and tangy. I like to get some on the side to dip my fries and burger in. Tip: on a busy day look up at the balcony, a lot of times it's empty. Most people probably think you can't eat there. Just take the stairs up or the elevator.

Yelp
Pretty super, but only somewhat duper. Just kidding! Absolutely fabulous and filling veggie patty complete with corn, black beans and extra goodness. For the ultimate experience, add jack cheese (FRIENDLY NOTE: They ONLY have jack cheese... Which I love but just wanted to let ya know) and avocado. Yummersonz. My accomplice (in crime-ing and in dining) ordered a 1/4 banger that he said left him too stuffed to get through the second round. We also accidentally ordered TWO garlic fries, but rest assured, only one is required for two. Unfortunately, the fries were the only thing lacking. Floppy and undercooked! If the fries had been crispy, they would've gotten an A+ as well. The staff here were fine, just be aware that you order at the counter and seat yourself (or seat yourself and order using the QR code on the table) so you don't have much interaction to make a real critique of that side of things. You get a lil' plastic disk and once your food is ready, you hop on over to the counter to pick it up yourself. They have an upper level that's a bit more intimate (and may separate you just a bit from the mob of drunken Cal students) and is much smaller than the large open space below. I like that distance, even if it's very little, because it gives you some level of control over the ambiance as you eat. Either way, I'm willing to withstand both drunk college students and trudges up and down stairs if it means I get my Super Duper veggie burger. More than worth it.
