"This Fairfield institution might have a very silly name, but they make some very serious hot dogs. Open since 2000 in a tiny diner-style space, Super Duper Weenie serves seven dog styles that are inspired by cities all over the country, which means the New Yorker and the Chicago dog actually sit in harmony next to each other on the menu. Everything here tastes ridiculously fresh thanks to the housemade toppings and sauces (don’t skip the hot relish), house-baked buns, and the weenies themselves that are cooked to order and split down the middle. In addition to the extra-loaded hot dogs, you can get chicken nuggets, sandwiches, and burgers—including a super solid veggie burger on a portuguese roll served with a spicy sauce we want to bottle and take home. No matter which route you go, ordering a side of freshly cooked fries and a super-thick milkshake to dunk them in is basically a requirement." - chloe zale, ciera velarde

The food here is absolutely incredible! My husband and I adore this spot, it’s his absolute favorite, and now I completely understand why. We ordered the New Yorker and the Georgian. The spicy sausage Georgian is delicious, bursting with flavor! The New Yorker was delicious as well but I definitely enjoyed the spicy sausage much more. Their fries are crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It’s a great fry lol. The shop is nice and cozy, making it a perfect place to eat. Plus, the staff here are kind and welcoming. I can confidently say that this is the best hot dog I’ve ever had, and the sausage is simply unbeatable! Delicious delicious delicious

Great spot for hot dogs, burgers, cheesesteaks and fries. Everything here is delicious. Only thing I would change on my order would be less onions on what I ordered. But that's on me. Takeout friendly and there's seating in the ordering area and then there's a dining spot on the side. If you love hot dogs, check it out

Recently watched a television show that featured this establishment. We said Hey, we're going to be passing here on a road trip next week. Best season ever. I highly recommend the california and the new yorker. I can't even explain how good the french fries were. I wish I could have talked to the owner. His hot relish is amazing, Watched him make it on the television show, but man, it was really good. I wish I could have got a bucket of it to take home.

I friggin love it here. It's a little out of the way to go on a regular basis but when I do, it's always, always worth it. My uncle frequently books their food truck for the 4th of July and that is always delicious. I mean, it's just a hot dog and fries. How good can it be? LET ME TELL YOU. It's just fresh ingredients, fresh cut fries, good combination of ingredients. It's just dang good. Last time I was there I had lunch to celebrate my finalized divorce 🤣 and it's just as good now as it was then. This place is an institution and any hot dog lover should try and make the trip. They also have good options for non hot dog eaters!

We got the Cincinnatian and the Dixie with fries. They were both good chilli dogs, with one having cheese and onions and the other having coleslaw. The fries were shoestring fries that had been triple cooked and then left out to cool for a bit too long. The only real issue here is the complete lack of food safety used by the staff, no gloves, no hair nets, nothing to make you feel safe.

A local staple and family favorite 😍. The fries came out like a huge mountain of potatoes. All of our dogs had a generous amount of toppings. Everything was hot. Staff was upbeat, and everyone was not only working but working together. You can really see how close they all are. Plenty of napkins on the tables and the fridge was filled with an assortment of beverages including seltzer water.
