My wife find a Diamond in L A , , I been in another places that claim to be authentic mexican tortas flavor and they not even close but this place is 90% that taste . this place has the nearest flavor of a Mexico city Huge Tortas Cubanas (sandwich) , definitely We’re coming back to enjoy them, it’s affordable and tasty as today 12/12/2021. $13dlls Cubana and $11 dlls any other . Ps….. ask for some Jalapeños and the red sauce is great!!!

Best Tortas you can find! 2nd time here, the wait is longer the later it is. Everyone seems to call ahead so I will be doing that next time. 1st it took an hour, but it was so worth it and I needed to come back for more. Get the Torta Cubana it's got everything in it. The "Chile" sauce is so good, don't pass on it, at least on the side.

Well, to be honest I went to pick up a meal for someone. I tried so hard to find the building but could not. I drove around a lot, then I notice a food vehicle. I saw the name of the company I was told to go to, so I jumped out and ran over to a man close to it, and he notified me that the food service vehicle he was in was where I was to pick up the food I was there to pick up for their customer. He was so very, very helpful to me that I was thankful to have stopped at the right place. I must say that the person I told I would pick it up for loved and enjoyed the food a lot. So, now I know where to go, and I am always very impressed with excellent customer service, which I did receive there.

I had the Torta Rusa...and man!!! It did not disappoint!! It's huuuuge!! Half a torta fills you up quick but you dont want to stop eating cause its so good...EN ESPAÑOL?? Me ENCANTO!! Muy rica la torta con muy buen sabor! Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

I discovered this torta magic box about 10 years ago and it's still the best you can get. I haven't ever found another place serving tortas that can do it as well or for as good a price as Super Tortas d.f. I've had EVERYTHING on their menu and it's all delicious.

Got the Super Torta La Cubana. Really good! Like a good hearty HEAVY breakfast sandwich. Feels like it has 3000 calories. The red sauce in the super torta is also really good: mild spiciness yet flavorful. Great for someone who can't really handle spicy foods. Overall, I definitely crave the Super Torta from time to time. I eat a decent range of foods from $300 to $5 meals, so I think it says a lot about how good it is.

This is certainly not healthy it may be overwhelming as one reviewer has said but it is certainly not the 3 star rating she gave. The Torta Cubana is delicious and with many ingredients but if the Cubano is too much for your appetite there are other more simple Tortas one can choose from. Was okay, I think. It was huge and had lots of toppings but all the things were a bit overwhelming. You certainly can't eat there regularly and remain healthy lol. This was definitely one of those 1 time deals!

First and foremost let's start with the Parking. NO PARKING. Take a co pilot in case of you needing to move your car because you will double park. Second ONLY CASH I repeat CASH ONLY! 3rd double and triple check your order. We normally call to order like a ahead of time. If you're hungry hungry don't expect to have your meal right away. Give them 1 or an 1 and half wait time. When you call you will be given a number but in this case on the phone I was #37 but the box said 31. Size it's sufficient enough but if you're super hungry one will cut it but can be selfish with another half. It's made as you order which is good because it's fresh. Their red salsa it's not spicy at all at least this time around. The torta is about 6 inches or so. I couldn't get the menu this time around: so a 4 for messing up my order. 5 for the food.

I love tortas so you know I had to check this place out. I actually ate tacos right before coming here so I will def have to come back again to try out the other tortas on an empty stomach. My bf and I split the cubano torta since everyone was raving about it. I had no expectations since I've never had a cubano before, but I will def say it is heavy/greasy since theres so many different types of meats on top of the egg and cheese and oil that they use to cook the bread (They use the oil that they cook the pork? or some type of meat in. Def gives it the extra flavor) but the sauce it came with really evened the greasiness out. It also probably didn't help that my stomach was half full from eating tacos right before. But for $10 that thing was bigger than my face! You can probably split this with a friend. Parking- street parking only

Best sandwiches ever, hubby got Argentina and I got cubano, both excesses our expectations. Will be back to try their other sandwiches. Like other yelper pictured, they are loaded, half sandwich satisfied my belly. Call ahead to order. They might run out of bread around 9pm.

Super Tortas DF is a weekend-nightly ONLY food cart in South LA on the SE corner of Central and 41st St. I got the Pollo, Pierna, and Quesillo torta (not a "super torta") for a solid $9 w/tax. Quick Tips: -Street Parking only. Read the signs. -One measly 5top and several plastic bar stools. Great for Take out. -CASH ONLY -Long wait depending on the line. I recommend calling ahead. -You might drool because Food Cart window is transparent. WATCH MAGIC HAPPEN. -Salchicha is Sausage -Pierna is thinly sliced pork Leg -I didn't want to die this time, but I'll definitely get a Super Torta next time. Taste 5/5 No need to manipulate the photos. My massive Pierna y Pollo torta (probably the healthiest item on the menu) was stuffed with tender chicken breast, juicy pork leg, tomato slices, avocado, and quesillo (a creamy, less pungent Swiss) stuffed in a large, toasty telera roll. I also asked for mine to be MUY PICANTE (Supa spicy) so they added a bunch of spicy peppers. On a scale of 1-Howlin'(10) it's a 4/10. Good burn. Price 5/5 Huge sandwiches, great portions. Service 5/5 They move as fast as they can, and it's worth the wait. Great if you can speak Spanish.

Simple and Sweet It is literally at the end of a street and its a small cart that sells the best tortas in LA PERIOD. For $7 or $10 (for the cubano) you literally get dinner and breakfast in one because these sandwiches are massive and packed with the hangover cure! They also give hot sauce on the side if you wish to add a kick to your already delicious torta! It may take a while to get your sandwich after ordering but your patience will be rewarded from this gem in LA. While you wait, they do have a TV to watch or you can be mesmerized by watching the cooks make the sandwiches. They are usually packed but you will see what the hype is about. Each sandwich comes with choice of meat, tomatoes, quesillo cheese and a lot of butter and mayo so dont expect anything healthy here!

The food is SO good!!! This little truck is really awesome! Their semi is pretty small, like 10 different Tortas or something, but every single one is SO good!!! Made to order, so you can order it without cheese and it still is very good! The line get very long if you come late, it's best to come at least ten minutes before they open. If they are setting up, it's perfect time to wait! Make sure you try it. It's worth the time and travel. Delicious!!!

The hype is real! Go get yourself this amazing $8 cuban sandwich on the corner of Central and 41st. I've had the cubano from Porto's bakery, but this sandwich trumps that by far. The sandwich is made to order and was just full of flavor. The ingredients meld together perfectly that made each bite so good. They have an extensive list of sandwiches on their menu, but we went for the most popular which is their cubana. Just watching the man make it was mouthwatering as is. In between the bread was layers of ham, milanesa, chorizo, yellow and white cheeses, quesillo, egg, avocado, tomato, and green chile. I scarfed down a quarter of the sandwich before we made it back to the car, but not before snapping a pic of the amazing cheese pull when you pull the two halves apart. Half of the sandwich was filling enough and the second half was perfect for lunch the next day, although it got a bit soggy. He made every sandwich himself so it takes awhile to get your order. Even though it's a big sandwich, you'll want your own, plus it's only $8. Tell them how spicy you want it. The location of the truck isn't the safest area of LA, so use the buddy system if wandering there at night. (We were hollered at) We got there at 8pm on Sunday night, no line to place your order, but it was a 45 minute wait to receive your order. Service was very sweet even with a language barrier. Parking on 41st.

O M G Best cubana ever! Every bite was so delicious and cheesy and full of flavor and just perfect like wow. So meaty, cheesy and with a perfect kick to it. It's massive and only $8! So bombbb! There wasn't a line when I went, but people who have already ordered and were waiting for their food. Ended up waiting about 15min for my sandwich, which isn't bad! Will def be back if I'm in the area!

Hands down best torta EVER!!! Whole invthe wall spot in the hood but definitely worth the eisk . Torta Cubana is highly recommended and the tacos are 2nd to none. Mer the owner and couldnt help but notice the pride he takes in the prep and ingredients he uses in making the food

I first heard of this truck a long time ago from seeing it on a facebook video. It went crazy viral. They had the amazing cheese pull of the torta. I had to have it. I came here late at night on a Thursday. A few people in line. The service of the team here is incredible. They were very nice, helpful, and made sure we had what we needed. The Cubana is probably the best I've ever had. Tons of different meats and cheese inside. Milenesa, hams, yellow, white cheese, guacamole and more. It was more than I could hadnle. I recommend this for all you sandwich lovers! Recommendation: Cubana tortas

Si quiere una torta gigante y sabrosa, COME TO THIS TORTA TRUCK ASAP! 41st & Central is the most delicious street corner as it hosts a street taco stand and this torta truck that serves these massive tortas. Yes, you may have to stand in long lines. Yes, you may have to sit in flimsy little plastic chairs, but where else can you be consuming unique flavored aguas, massive tortas and cabeza tacos simultaneously on a street corner? The tortas are named after countries [The German (Alemena), Italiana, Americana, Rusa, Argentina, etc], where the difference is in adding/omitting avocado, pineapple, cheese, different protein, etc etc. ..But if you made the trek to South LA and need to chose one kind of torta, get the massive Cubana which is basically the kitchen sink. Ask them to add avocados (might as well, right?). YUUUUGE and cheesy (see pic). Come off hours to potentially avoid a long line. Don't forget to tell the boss man behind the glass that you loved it. A lot of respect and love for these torta men and women xo

What can I say that hasn't already been said. This place is awesome. Their tortas are crazy good. But you do have wait at least an hour and on the night my girlfriend and I went, we waited two hours for our torta. But it's so worth the wait. They are generally stationed on south central and 41st street. So if you're lame and don't like going near the ghetto this place ain't for you. But if you're ok with the location - it's a must try. We tried the Cubano. We spilt one because they are ginormous. We tried the Cubano because it was the most popular, and all the other Tortas seem to be a variant of this one. You're not going to go wrong with trying any of the others. These tortas are packed with flavor from all types of meat, cheeses and chilies. If you don't like spice you can get yours without chilies. Everyone waiting is nice and friendly especially if you speak a little Spanish. Everyone must try this place at least once, or several time! Lol Happy Yelping! Mahalo!

Damn!!! No joke real deal... So big and yummy! Tried the Cubana $10 , alemania $8, rusa $8. All tortas are named after country's! Come hungry. Definitely coming back. Parking on street. My boyfriend is from Mexico City and he looooves these tortas. My personal favorite is the milanesa one without a lot of chipotle salsa. We usually drive up from San Diego, so we call in to order over the phone 30 minutes before arriving. They take a bit to make em, but we always order about 4 or more and calling ahead makes it worth it.

The tortas are so good here haven't been here In a good minute.Friendly service and they don't skimp out on the contents of your food here it's a must when I'm in town.

Rating: 64/100 pts I came to try their unanimously praised Cubana Torta, and while it does pack a mean punch in the face, I wouldn't put it on my short-list for the best sandwiches of LA. First off, be aware that this is a food truck in a less-than-stellar area. At no point did I feel unsafe: the crowd of torta-loving locals, huddled around the limited seats and propped screen showing Spanish-language television made for a communal atmosphere more than anything else. That said, the constant motorbikes whizzing past, both on the streets and sidewalks, did add to the grittiness and detract from the experience. This grittiness continues into the sandwich: picture a behemonth-sized circular bun filled with every imaginable type gritty meat--diced hot dog, cold cut bologna and ham, sinewy pork ribbons--, plus plastic-wrapped square cheese, and (to their credit) fresh scrambled egg. This is all further intensified with sauce, butter, and mayo to create an explosive combination of flavors that is as diverse as it is caloric. ...but it's $8(!!!), so it's hard to find fault. This thing is huge--I was still full even after splitting it with my friend, meaning you can get a decent meal for $4. There's something to be said about that. And that something is 3 stars.

They serve Cuban and Colombian sandwiches and nothing else. I got an Espanola. It was made with such care and precision that it was like watching a performance. The sandwich was generously sized and delicious and a wonderful change from the standard Mexican fare so common in this area. Damn, these are by far the most tasty tortas I've had in my life. Super Tortas DF has ruined it for me, I can no longer eat your average Joe torta now. Most other tortas that I've eaten consist of the typical meats like carne asada or al pastor. Here they incorporate all sorts of delicious meats that induce artery-clogging effects, but it's totally worth it. A friend and I decided to check this place out after hearing all the great reviews. Each torta consists of cheese, a healthy glob of mayo, jalapenos, avocados, and tomatoes. The Rusa (Milanesa, Pierna, Quesillo) consists of deep fried beef and all the previously said toppings. Man, I never thought that breaded meat would taste so amazing in a sandwich. They cut every sandwich in half for you so that it's easier to share but trust me, you'll want your own. If you have an even bigger appetite go for their Cubana, which is an even bigger behemoth of a sandwich. The orders can take a while; I ended up waiting over 30 minutes for two tortas. Expect a wait every time unless you get there early. Definitely not in the safest of neighborhoods, so go with multiple people, ESPECIALLY if you're a female. Find street parking in the vicinity.

Great sandwich. I had the Cuban..most popular it seems. Don't let the price deceive you...I can say u get what you pay for. Large sandwich that is good for 2 people. It's not your traditional Cuban if it's what your looking for, this has a Mexican twist. This sandwich has more different meats than your typical Cuban....very well worth it!! Lots of melted cheese and you watch as they make your sandwich!! My wife isn't into spiced food so I had the sauce on the side. I took a bite of it plain and it was good...once you add the sauce, makes a big difference. It's like a chipotle chile/mayo sauce...very very good. I also had the Orchata (rice water), this was a also great. If your around the area, I highly recommend!!! Didn't take any pics but all the pics in yelp speak for the Cuban sandwich.

Spent an hour or so in line on a Friday night with light showers just to see if the tortas from this small food truck was as great as I've been reading about. Let me tell you I'd do it all over again and will do it again because this was the best torta I've eaten hands down and I've eaten plenty in and out of Los Angeles. Super Tortas DF is parked on a residential street near the corner of Central and 41st so finding parking is easy enough. The moment I stepped out of my car I was hit by the smell of buttered bread being toasted. From here it was hurry and run to the line before more people show up and yes, the line was long and getting longer by the minute as people were showing up in groups. The Cubanas is their most popular and holds the crown for the best torta in Los Angeles with lots of meats but I tried the Rusa which is much simpler. I figured if the tortas are as good as they say, then trying one with less going on would prove it. This sandwich had pork, ham, tomatoes, guac, jalapenos, salsa and cheese... CHEESE GALORE! The melted cheese came stretching out when pulling the torta apart. Well seasoned pork meat was crammed into that warm bread that had no shortage of butter. The torta also had the perfect amount of guac and salsa. Not once during eating did I come across a soggy piece of bread. The salsa made the already juicy pork juicier which I loved. I finished before I even got back to my car...and to think I was going to wait until I got home to eat. These tortas are amazing and deserve much praise. I'm ready to tackle the Cubanas because I know that's going to top the Rusa without a doubt. Dinner 4/8/2016

Great torta. I came here w/ my boyfriend on Sunday when we were in the area around 4pm. THANKFULLY they had arrived not too long ago & we're still setting up so the wait was not long at all. There was one person ahead of us but she had ordered before we even got there. We ordered a cubana torta ($8) & rusa torta ($6). The cubana torta was stuffed with so much fillings & was very delicious. The rusa was very good as well. I love that they have a huge window so you can see your food being prepared while you wait. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area again.

These are the BEST tortas hands down! They're open 4pm-11pm, Thursday through Sunday. We went on a Sunday night, and they had a steady flow of customers the entire time we were there. La Cubana is a huge, tasty torta! You could definitely share this one. La Rusa also tasty. Their salsa has heat to it, so use caution if spicy isn't your thing.

The moment anyone splits open Super Tortas D.F famous Cubano in half, eyes widen and mouths water! Love at first sight never felt so real! THE CUBANO: is their most popular sandwich consisting of two buttered slices stuffed with milaneza, pork leg, ham, sausage, chorizo, egg, different cheeses, mayo, jalapeños, avocado, tomatoes, and some of their sauce! Each bite is overwhelmingly delicious with all sorts of flavor and a kick of spiciness! THE SABROSA: also has two thick slices packed with milaneza, extra cheese, pineapple, avocado, and mayo! A more simple Torta but still very appetizing! Recommended for customers who aren't fans of spicy. As busy as this truck gets, they still know how to be professional and extremely friendly to every customer. If you don't want a certain ingredient they are more than happy to make it just the way you want it. You can say "Super" is quite an understatement for such portions and service!

Very delicious tortas and the service is fast in comparison to the high demand of orders they have one weekends.

The quality has really gone in recent years, and today was a reminder of that. My partner and I haven't been here in a year, and can't remember why we stopped. We called ahead and place an order, Italiano and Cubano. They said 30min wait. It was 50min waiting. And we arrived home, we live about 20min away, and they got the order wrong. We will not spend money here again. This place is not worth it, you spend more than $10 for a sandwich and wait close to an hour.

Be prepared to wait a LONG time for one of the best tortas you will ever eat. This is for a Thursday night around 7:30pm Wait time to order: ~25 min Wait time to get food(2 cubanas): ~30-40 min The waiting game doesn't seem so bad when they have a novella playing on their tv screen, a wide window into the truck to see the food being made, or you're with good company. Price: No tax, but make sure to bring cash! Regular listed combo sandwiches are $6 A cubanas is $8 Their glass bottled sodas are $1.50 Inside the cubanas: Ham, yellow cheese, white cheese, quesillo (shredded cheese, that's heated and melted with chorizo folded inside), cut-up hotdogs, some beef thing (which I'm assuming is the Milanesa or pierna-- I could be wrong), mayo and butter on the bread, tomato, avocado, green chiles, egg. They already give you one hot sauce, but you can ask for more. The sauce tastes like a liquidy spicy mayo. Think InNOut spread sauce minus the pickles plus a spicy kick. OR think Halal Guys red and white sauce combined, but not as spicy. The torta was delicious. And by delicious I mean, very meaty, perfectly melted cheeses, with the right kind of spicy kick to it. Just say yes.

One word! BOMB! Waiting time can be a bit frustrating but it's worth it! Tortas here will definitely fill you up and you are going to wanna come back for more!

If you're in the mood for a cheap, yummy, and heavy meal, Super Tortas it is! They open at 3:30 and the locals are already waiting in line before they even get the generator running. Most folks get the cubano ($8--all other sandwiches are $6) and for good reason too. I saw the guy making it and he just doesn't stop piling on the goods. So many different kinds of meat and cheeses melted to perfection, cooked with slabs of butter. There's a fried "mystery meat" that was a bit chewy--only part of the sandwich I couldn't handle. I especially love the chiles and hot sauce that comes with the torta. I heard wait times get crazy starting dinner time so get there early, aka right when they open. It's not in the nicest part of the city so all the more reason to head out when the sun is still out!

Affordable, and the best thing is they're DELICIOUS!! We were in the mood for some tortas and well Super Tortas is the ONLY option, we drive from Ontario for these with no regrets lol. They are spicy but worth it .

The torta was ok. I'm a fan of anything sandwich but all the hype about this place maybe gave me too high of expectations and it fell short. It's a huge sandwich with greasy meat and pre made egg patties. I get it the lines are long and one guy makes ALL the sandwiches so they have to find places to cut corners. Certainly is a treat to watch them make the food but maybe I don't want to see the pre made food get patted down with a paper towel because it's too greasy or how they don't use gloves while touching the food. Also, we asked for no pork but we got it anyways. Despite in my opinion nothing truly to rave about, it is a good pic op for a huge sandwich stuffed with lots of items. I won't be back but definitely something worth trying.

This is a review specifically for coming to this Super Tortas D.F. at a Sunday night around 9:30pm. We waited a good 2 hours for our one torta cubana. Which was doooooope AF and SO DAMN GOOD but like we waited a good 2 hours LOL HELLA NOT WORTH IT YET WORTH IT AT THE SAME TIME. I'm so conflicted. I just want you to know what you're getting yourself into before you make the decision to come here. The wait can get reallllll long.

I saw a video on Facebook and decided to investigate further. They arrived a little late and we waited for them to set up but it was absolutely worth the wait and the drive. I ordered Rusa (Russian) and my boyfriend ordered Alemana (German) and we split it and shared. It was delicious and i was happily full after. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area or up for an adventure

Every visit that I have to Super Tortas DF has been incredible. All the hype that you have been hearing from the web, blogs and all these yelp reviews are all true. I really don't know how else to describe it. I know for sure that no normal person with a regular appetite can finish the cubana because its about the size of a football. You will only get to finish it if you're 6'5 with a regular appetite or have not eaten all day. That being said. Its really compelling and will probably make you forget that you have a regular appetite. I won't be surprised if you guys tell me that you forced yourself to finish it. The cubana is not a traditional cubana sandwich. Im gonna tell you that much. Its like a version of the cubana if you super sized and put steroids on it. Don't get me wrong tho. ITS INCREDIBLE and has been one of my most favorite experiences eating food in LA. I have also tried their Rusa and its great as well! Really all of these sandwiches kind of wreck your brain as soon as you take a bite. Its really so good!!! Tino and his staff really put a lot of care in making these sandwiches. Try and say hi to him, he's a really nice guy. Barely speaks any english so you might need to learn how to say hi and some pleasantries in spanish!
