People are known to cross half the city just to grab a pizza baked by Italian owner Giuseppe Oliva, who was also a key player in chef Christian Puglisi’s Baest, Copenhagen’s first upmarket Italian restaurant. Surt is ideal for lunch, when you can tuck into a Sur Pie baked in a tray, and equally good in the evening for the full experience: ancient grain-based sourdough pizzas loaded with a deep red sauce made from Sicilian siccagno tomatoes and topped with items like Hindsholm pork sausage and buffalo mozzarella. The BEST pizza I have ever eaten and deserves all the praise! I ate shrooms which was excellent and my partner hindsholm, very delicious and so light although it has meat. The pizza doughs are very special here, so light, easy to digest and delicious. The toppings are interesting and prepared with very fresh ingredients that makes a huge difference. There is a nice, cosy, down to earth atmosphere inside and one can see where they prepare the food. Kind and friendly staff... Recommending strongly!!!We will certainly go back!

The pizza was good, but just good. For a basic pizza that’s 150kr+ I expect a lot more. The menu also consists of 6-7 pizzas and at 18:08 when we were ordering, one was sold out. Before the guests even arrive on a Friday 😬 I’m a bit tired of these Copenhagen restaurants that want to be fancy for no reason. Its a pizza restaurant, lets be in touch with reality for a second🫶🏼

We came here since it was rated in the top 50 pizzas in Europe. I don’t think it was anything special or substantial. We ordered the charcuterie plate which was 3 meats and nothing especially interesting. Our pizza had only a small sprinkling of the expected toppings and it was nearly 1/2 crust, sadly. The tiramisu was also lacking substance. But the orange wine by the glass was nice at least.

4 pizzas & 2 starters were shared between 5 people. There are the classic ones which were great but the more creative one like Hindsholm sausage we would definitely come back for. Well balanced with a slight tanginess from the fermented chili to cut the greasiness :) I’m normally not a pizza crust fan but this one was something else - great texture of soft, light and elasticity to the dough. I didn’t mind the charred crust at all as it adds another layer of smokiness to the pizza. Spacious space, dog friendly as a plus and attentive service. Our food came quickly. Price point might be on the expensive side hence 4 stars but overall definitely one, if not the best pizza Napolitano in Copenhagen!

Visited in December 2024. We had two pizzas, Hindsholm and Rianata. The pizzas were good, the dough may well be the best I've ever had in a pizza. The toppings were less impressive, the only one I found really good was the fermented chili. The Rianata pizza had way too much oregano on top, which made it bitter. There is a long wine list, but few other drink options. I had a kombucha, which was quite sour, even for my taste ((and I love sour!). Overall, I don't think SURT was worth the money, I personally found it ridiculously expensive.

Last night, we walked in without a booking and were welcomed with such grace and warmth. We were seated in a cozy corner, which ended up being the perfect spot—intimate, yet still part of the buzz. The pizza? Next-level. Genuinely one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly balanced crust, quality ingredients, and real depth in every bite. What elevated the evening even more was the wine pairing. We had the Occhipinti Contrada Fossa di Lupo Frappato 2021 and it was sublime. Huge shoutout to Pepe, who took the time to listen and guide us to the right wine. His care and thoughtfulness made all the difference. The entire team deserves all the praise. This is not just a great pizza spot—it’s a place I’ll be bringing friends and family back to, again and again. They’ve mastered the art of making you feel at home, while serving food and wine that leave a mark. A true gem.

Enjoyed an amazing lunch here with my wife. Highly recommend it! The beef tartar is one of the best I've ever had, and the focaccia pizzas were absolutely fantastic! My favorite was the Bianca, but also had the Alcamo and it too was delicious! The service was great, our waitress was very kind and attentive. Would highly recommend.
