The Best Restaurants On Coral Way - Miami - The Infatuation

"Sushi Chef is a great, casual Japanese restaurant on Coral Way with a huge menu full of sushi, gyoza, katsu, temaki, soups, and more dishes that'll guarantee that even your pickiest friend will find something to order. The food is all really solid—although we usually focus mostly on sushi here. Not only is it good, but it's really affordable, and you can get a 34-piece sushi platter for under $54. You won’t need a reservation, and it’s a perfect low-stress weekday dinner. They also have a little market with pantry items for sale, so you can grab some yuzu extract on your way out." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

We’ve been a customer of this place for more than 20 years, and it’s always a pleasure to come back. The service, the waitresses, the owner, and of course, the food is consistently wonderful. I tried their ceviche and was pleasantly surprised! It’s not the traditional Peruvian style, but rather a Japanese inspired version, with its own unique flavor. Even though the taste isn’t exactly Peruvian, it’s absolutely delicious in its own way. They mix different types of fish, white fish, salmon, and others, which gives the dish a great variety of textures and flavors. The portion is generous for an appetizer, and the juices are perfectly balanced and refreshing. I also love that they now garnish it with Peruvian canchita, adding a nice authentic and crunchy touch. This is my favorite dish on the menu, and I always come back for their ceviche. Magnificent food and always a satisfying experience!

Such a special night at Sushi Chef Miami. I went with my mom (she’s from Venezuela), and it was our first time back in about 32 years—returning after so long felt incredibly meaningful. We’ve known each other since the time Enamoto-san lived in Caracas, so being together again brought back so many memories. Everything was fresh and delicious, the service was warm, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It truly felt like a long-awaited reunion, sharing memories of Caracas over dinner. Highly recommend.

This place is a Miami hidden gem! Me and my family have been coming here for 15 years! The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, and the owner is a cutie who’s always there! I highly recommend it, as a sushi lover and a foodie.

Google
My wife and I work on cruise ships so we were here the day before leaving and wanted sushi. This place was nearby and looked to fit the bill. It's a cute little plant with low ceilings and lots of customers, great energy and relaxed vibe. We were sat quickly and I ordered a hot sake. It came out steaming quickly. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share. Miso soup, ginger salad, tuna tartar, and salmon, tuna, and hamachi sashimi with a side of rice. Considering the amount of small plates we ordered, the pacing was perfect. A new dish came out each time we were finished with a previous one at the perfect time! The miso and salad came first. The miso was nice and hot, with soft cubes of tofu. Excellent! The salad was very fresh and crispy, and the dressing was so good you wanted to eat it plain! Next the edamame came. It has just the right amount of Kosher salt and was piping hot. The tuna tartar followed, and at first I was a little recalcitrant at first because I'm used to bigger pieces of the tuna, but this was almost like the consistency of the inside of a spicy tuna roll. It was awesome! Just a little bit of heat, and it was a very big helping! It came with crunchy cucumbers which when dipped in a little soy were the perfect instrument to pick up the tuna. Finally the part we most looked forward to, the fish! The salmon was absolutely incredible, soft, no fishiness, great texture, melted like butter in your mouth. The hamachi was equally good, with a little more but pleasant fish umami. It was especially good with lemon squeezed on it! The tuna was probably our least favorite, it was a little gel like, and didn't really have much flavor. That was the only thing we didn't finish. As an aside, the rice was also amazing, it has just s pinch of vinegar and I made a couple pieces of nigiri with it. We will be coming here before every cruise from now on!

Google
I love coming to Sushi Chef, it feels like coming home. This is a place that not only shines through the quality and freshness of the food but most importantly due to the phenomenal, attentive, dedicated and knowledgeable staff that makes the experience even more wonderful. From Mr. Enomoto to Marla and David, this is a place that has made it its mission to excel at everything they do. The saba, harumaki, sukiyaki, unadon, royal chirashi, ankimo and yosenabe are such special dishes that you never find anywhere else and if you do they never compare. I have been a customer for more than a decade and as someone who travels and has the opportunity to eat sushi not only around miami but in many different cities, I always find craving their food. It’s truly a gem that deserves and warrants making a trip to it from wherever in Miami you may live.

Google
100% recommended! This is definitely one of the best Sushi restaurant places we have visited. 😋🙏 They have a great variety of dishes and flavors, there is something for everyone. We were a big party (adults and kids) and we all loved it ❤️

Google
Sushi chef has been my go to sushi spot for years. It’s been a staple for my family and will continue to be my favorite spot in Miami. The staff is always friendly, quick, and efficient, and all go above and beyond. Good service is hard to come by, great service is that much rarer. Everything here is fresh and the sushi is quality. One of my favorites is the sashimi trio lunch special; the tuna is fantastic, the salmon is butter and the escolar melts in your mouth. You know something is great when you can’t decide where to end on. Even a basic tuna roll or California roll here is so much better than anywhere else. Nothing here misses. No trip to Sushi Chef is complete without an order (or two, or three) of the Fresh Harumaki. I’ve never been able to find it anywhere else, I believe it’s a Sushi Chef original. It’s the most refreshing food you’ve ever tried, and it’s delicious to boot. What ice cold water is to a scorching hot day, the fresh Harumaki is to your taste buds. You never knew how badly you needed it until you’ve tried it. Chef Enemoto is a staple of the Miami sushi community, and Sushi Chef is somewhere I can confidently say is a 10/10 spot. Go here, try it, and then go again.

Google
Sushi Chef is one of the best in town consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. His precision, professionalism, and commitment to quality are evident in every dish he prepares. The ingredients are always fresh, the presentation is great and the flavors are superb. His work greatly enhances the overall standard of the establishment. Thank you very much Chef Enomoto and all team .

Yelp
I grew up in Japan , have been eating sushi since I was three, lived in New York, London and LA for over 10 years. Always searching for quality sushi restaurants (not so much atmosphere ) Sushi chef is a no frill , home style spot that is family friendly. Kids can have amazing wagyu steaks while you enjoy fresh toro, salmon belly, uni flew in from Japan- If you get lucky, sit at the sushi counter and have the sushi chef himself make you some sushi- you will taste his skills and years of experience - it's a different high. If you're about seriously fresh and touch your soul sushi, and not so much fancy cocktails with dry ice flying out from your dishes - this is truly a rare gem in a place like Miami
google avatar

Ludo R.

Yelp
The food is pretty good. I love uni (sea urchin eggs) and this was fresh. It all tasted fresh. Good service. Ambiance is not elegant but it's clean and casual. Easy parking. We really enjoyed it. I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The beef udon was definitely the star of the show and the only contributing factor to this 4 star review. We found the sushi that day to be lackluster. The rice felt cold and stiff like it had just been sitting in the fridge. Perhaps they use leftover rice from lunch since we went right when they opened for dinner. I'm sure on a busier night this probably isn't an issue. I'm willing to give this place another shot but for now I'm not too impressed with their sushi/sashimi.

Yelp
I had to get some dinner and didn't want to go far so I called to place an order, the gentleman on the phone was super friendly, less than 20 minutes later I was able to pick up. For under $20 I had a miso soup, cucumber salad and a California roll, everything was good. Simple and tasty.
google avatar

Felicia A.

Yelp
Stopped by for a casual dinner with a friend. Started with miso soup that was pretty good and then shared a few rolls. My favorite was the spicy tuna, but my friends favorite was the rainbow roll. Service was good. Not going to be my new favorite spot but not bad! They have parking available.

Julie P.

Yelp
I've been coming hear since the early 2000's and have always loved the service and the menu. This is not your typical sushi restaurant. My favorites (pardon the spelling), hamachi jalapeño, fresh harumaki, tiradito, wagyu beef. They have several things that are not in the menu so pale sure to ask! Request for Chef- bring back the muscles!!
google avatar

Charlie G.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem. Definitely coming back! Sushi is fresh and prices are great. Cozy, family friendly atmosphere
google avatar

Olga G.

Yelp
I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years, and I have seen the restaurant staff get old (with me). Btw, the team is barely changing, the food is consistently good - and their lunch specials are the best in town.
google avatar

Nick L.

Yelp
I've been here several times over the past few years and always come away. Disappointed. Was hoping things had changed based on the ratings, but it hasn't. The California roll was warm, almost hot, the service was subpar, the salad tasted funny, I had two other side dishes that were also not good... but the fish was good. So if you're looking for just good sashimi, it's good. But if you're looking for a full full dining experience, try somewhere else.

Yelp
I visited Sushi Chef for the first time today and was very impressed. Do not judge it from the outside which is very unassuming (although today it appeared they were installing new signage.) Inside you will find very warm and inviting staff, a clean look and some delicious sushi. Having lived in Japan, I think I know sushi. This was fresh, beautifully prepared and very tasty. I found the lunch menu, particularly the lunch specials, very reasonable. My companion and I both ordered the Madame Butterfly combo (yes, it's a hokey name, but who cares, it was $12.99.) It contained 8 pieces of Spicy Tuna and California rolls. Plus two pieces of salmon and tuna. The salmon was absolute melt-in-your-mouth quality. It came with soup or salad. My companion pronounced her miso soup delicious (she ended up buying a packet of miso soup from their market, even though we know it won't be of the same quality.) I regret ordering the salad, it was fine but a little over drenched in dressing, so I will have the miso soup next time as well. The service was super friendly. This is a great neighborhood restaurant, sadly I don't live in the immediate area but I will happily take the free Coral Way trolley to get there. It's well worth it.
google avatar

J. Andrea Z.

Yelp
The sushi was good but pricey in my opinion, I ordered two sushi rolls and a miso soup and ended up paying $36. Both sushi rolls had abt 8 pieces of medium size and taste was good, as expected but nothing spectacular Parking is on the street and quite tight

Yelp
Sushi chef used to be one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Gables, I went for dinner with high expectations. After all I had been to the place multiple times before. The service felt rushed, the ambiance changed completely. It went from being nice quiet and enjoyable place to a fast food production machine. This experience made me change my mind about this place I used to enjoy. The food was alright, it was missing that genuine Japanese flavor, the quantity and quality is lowered but the price rises.
google avatar

Vicki G.

Yelp
Super fresh sushi and good service from friendly staff. The hamachi jalapeño is consistently delicious. The tuna and salmon sushi is well prepared and fresh. A family owned and operated with good sushi!

Christopher L.

Yelp
I dine at Sushi Chef about every ten days, for good reason. It serves proper, correctly prepared Japanese food and has done so consistently for years. It is not a fancy place, but the food is extraordinarily good. Just delicious. And it is clean as a whistle, a rarity for Miami restaurants. Go there, you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Mel E.

Yelp
Amazing food that's worth every penny. The portions are perfect for sharing. We had udon soup, dragon rolls with eel on top, the pork dumplings, shrimp shumai, tuna tataki and so many other dishes. They did not disappoint. The service is great (thanks Yunia) and the owner is adorable and an authentic Japanese chef; kind and humble too. The ambiance is perfect. I cannot believe I've lived here all these years and never stopped here. It was my first time, but not my last time. Enjoy!

Yelp
*UNFRESH & GIMMICKY** We eat at a lot of sushi restaurants. The fish here was absolutely awful & expensive. We stopped eating the food half way because we were afraid of getting sick. Just look how old the "premium" uni looks. Run!

Yelp
This place is amazing. A very traditional Japonese restaurant. They do not stop surprising me. After coming here for the last 25 years I came today w my nephew and they served the sushi in this amazing plate. The kids loved it!! Thank you sushi chef.

Yelp
Thisssss place right here is a work of art first time I ever came I fell in love ! Can't ever go wrong with sushi as fresh as this one, ooo my goodness since 15' don't miss out. Make sure after you enjoy your meal you close off with one of my favorites are the crepes with fruits. Service has always been amazing no complaints and the owner is a sweetheart. Very peaceful and family oriented.

Yelp
Amazing service and food! Great ambiance!!! Staff was so helpful as I had never had experience with sushi or bowls before. Definitely will be coming back!
google avatar

Ashleigh S.

Yelp
I drove incredibly far to try this place out and wow was it worth it! The freshness. The presentation!! Highly recommend the sashimi deluxe combo, it was perfect. The Ikura was so good I ordered another round of two! I always thought I didn't like uni after trying it at another spot but my friend convinced me to try it here and I am reborn. 10/10!

Yelp
Best Japanese food in Miami. No Thai or Chinese in the menu. Just delicious, honest, well prepared Japanese food. This is my go-to restaurant for Japanese food!

Mario M.

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant for several years and every time it is fantastic. The food is always delicious and made to order. The service is always great, friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.
google avatar

Charlene G.

Yelp
I love this place but it is so darned expensive. Take out for one...me..over $50. So I save it for special occasions or when I get a bonus, LOL. Seriously, I think their hamachi sashimi is the BEST! I really enjoy their rolls, and the tuna sashimi is nirvana!

Meegan B.

Yelp
This is an absolute hidden gem in Miami. After our fave sushi restaurant in Brickell closed, we were searching high and low for a place with great food, a welcoming environment and reasonable prices. Sushi Chef is all that and then some. The team is so friendly. The Sushi Chef is a veteran of Japan, France, Venezuela and now Miami -- and he's at the helm of the sushi counter every day guiding his team of more junior chefs (who also do great work). The quality of the fish is amazing -- you'd easily pay 2x or 3x the price at the pricier sushi spots in Brickell/Downtown [for lower quality]. From the outside, may look like a place worth passing by -- but don't! The inside is warm and cozy and food and value is amazing! Definitely give them a try!

Yelp
Amazing sushi, unforgettable ramen soup ( the best pork in the whole world ). The service is always very good. Sushi chef is my favorite restaurant in Coral Way and I could say that it is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Florida. I have been a great admirer of chef Enomoto since he was the pioneer of sushi in Venezuela, at his restaurant Avila Tei. At Sushi Chef I feel at home not only because I have tried almost half of the menu, but also because the customer service is 5 stars. The signature dishes of Chef Enomoto are truly unique. The ramen is homemade and the broth is so bold and plenty of flavor, I love the pork!!! The sashimis, and the starters are supreme! Oh! And they have a little store inside with all of japanese products you need for cooking. Yum!
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Their sushi is super fresh! The owner who is the chef is always there and he is very welcoming and nice. The same employees have been there for years. The place is so clean and organized.
google avatar

Grace C.

Yelp
Five stars primarily because of service. Having been in customer service business since 1996, its important to me how I am treated. Just the simple things. For example a warm welcome when you walk to the door, being acknowledged that you were actually there and one seated being tended to with your utensils napkins plates and so on. We stumbled upon this place because we had a fender bender right in front of the restaurant. While we were waiting for AAA we decided to try it out as I am in Miami native and have noticed place for many years. Enjoy the owner and all the waitresses were very welcoming. Upon being seated we were immediately given menus and the drinks quickly follow. The food was exceptional and fresh with a very extensive menu. I had a feeling this place is going to be good buy the trout that was in the restaurant for a Saturday afternoon. They have a nice selection of wine and sake even recommend what is better for the price. I will definitely be coming back to this place and I think everybody should give it a chance it is very well worth it.
google avatar

Tiani N.

Yelp
I have to let everyone know that this hole in the wall place is amazing !!! Please come here for the "Chirashi -Zushi" . Come in when they open!!! Nothing beats fresh fish !!! The Chirashi Zushi or "Royal Chirashi" comes with Uni (sea urchin), Ikura (salmon roe), masago , some sort of "leaves" (that taste amazinnnng!!). It cost $39 ! Worth every bite. I also got the salmon ikura handroll and I suggest you let it melt in your mouth. The prices are decent !!! The food is AMAZING & the service is on point ! Will be coming back for more !
google avatar

Yelp
This has to be a top 3 Sushi restaurant for me in the Miami area. Admittedly, I am here for lunch/late lunch all the time, never for dinner, but the menu is the same. The menu is friggin ginormous! It's actually a small book with pictures, bigger than most children's books lol If you can't find something here you don't like.. then you are helpless! The place is always packed no matter what time of day- parking is pretty limited too. If you're lucky you can find a paid spot on the side street. If you are looking for fine dining, skip this joint. This is a bare bones place with tables and chairs only. Kind of reminds me of a deli?!? For such an enormous menu, everything is fresh, esp the seafood. Wagyu beef craving? He has it. The owner Chef Enomoto is a very nice man, always present and always busy, moving and shaking. He has to be in his late 70's/80's?!? Every time I dine here I try to eat something that I've never tried before.. Kind of fun. The Moriawase dishes are fantastic, and the soups are very traditional Japanese soups. Authentic. Not many sushi places serve traditional Japanese soups. There is a whole menu page devoted to soup. Wagyu beef soup.. Yosenabe/Seafood soup is fantastic, runs about $20ish. Offers some formal Japanese dishes, dine in only, like Shabu-Shabu, Ishiyaki, Sukiyaki etc. Have eaten multiple types of Uni, Ox tongue appetizer, Toro, and try a unique fish to expand my horizons each time. This place is as authentic as a Japanese sushi restaurant gets, and one of my favs. Give it a try.. I'm willing to bet you'll like it. :)

Yelp
Looking for a sushi place like amazing sushi and we googled it and saw this one had a lot of stars we were on the way to sushi kong but we saw this place and said okay let's give it a try we ordered the lobster and shrimp Tempura really good and the wagyu tataki súper amazing we would've order another one but we had a lot of sushi coming our way soon the next sushi were crunchy rolls yummy really good and the volcano roll it was too fishy and a soup of miso soup :) We were looking for sushi rolls out of this world this place had more like the regular sushi roll .but really nice place and people.your order might take long to come because it does get packed .
google avatar

Ricardo C.

Yelp
I used to love this place. However, I went yesterday and they served me a soggy and stale salad, also they prepared my usual dish the "Sashimi de Luxe" in a poorly fashion, and on top it had a fish bone that pricked my guns. I informed them of the event and all I received was a poor apology from a very kind and friendly waitress and a $10% discount ($5) which is very offensive to me.; I really was not expecting any money from them except an apology from the manager or the owner who was at the place at the time. A shame! I made the mistake of accepting the discount. Shame on me!

Yelp
The best sushi place in town; my humble opinion. I have been coming to the family business for almost 15+ years. Fantastic customer service and quality of food...atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and comforting..this continues to improve and grow as the years go by. I never leave unsatisfied with the food and attention..maybe only cause i didnt order enough lol but truly, i always find something delicious or get a new recommendation from the sushi chef. I miss sitting at the bar and enjoying my sushi, but i am satisfied w their superb takeout option currently. Continue to offer them your business because our local eateries need our support!
google avatar

Erica A.

Yelp
This is totally a hidden gem in Coral Way. Every time I come the energy is so welcoming. You're greeted as you open the door and saluted as you leave. Does anyone else feel unimportant when the staff doesn't recognize you?? It does get pack around dinner and the restaurant and parking lot is small itself. The restaurant is clean and the dishes are well represented. My favorite dish is the pork belly appetizer. It comes with rice, pork belly, and a few french fries and honestly fits as a food meal for me.
google avatar

Marily D.

Yelp
Great sushi at reasonable prices. Besides some other things that might surprise you. Some French cuisine like the desserts or the fried rice. Yummy. I came late so they were rushing everyone and even said last call for the kitchen. So no dessert for me this time.
google avatar

Warren H.

Yelp
I came back from Japan obsessed with Japanese food, and this restaurant was like a gift from heaven. I knew my prayers at countless temples were answered when this place appeared right under my nose on Coral Way. I love the authentic preparation and wide range of dishes this chef has mastered. Whether it's ramen, nigiri, tonkatsu or gyoza, they provide an honest and true experience close to what you would get in Japan. Sure, the place not cutesy with shoji and silk Sakura, but it's as if you were at a local cafe in a residential part of Japan, replete with Japanese ingredients so you can try your hand at preparing these dishes at home. The one limitation is that the staff itself might not fully appreciate what a gem this place truly is as evidenced from their lack of enthusiasm and mindless service. This restaurant deserves better. Arigato for being in Miami chef!
google avatar

Nancy A.

Yelp
Really wanted to love this place... but honestly, wasn't that impressed. The service was spot on, and it was easy to find parking and get some seats at the sushi bar. Sushi bar that has an A/C vent blasting to the back of your head. If you are always cold, stay away. The food was ok, the menu is somewhat limited in the rolls, its like the same thing with one more ingredient or one less ingredients. Nothing original or out of the ordinary. I ordered 3 rolls, my husband ordered a chicken katsu, we started with some edamame and hot tea (from a tea bag, blah). Nothing to rave about, just substance. Wont be going back.

Yelp
Go to spot for takeout sushi. The quality for the price can't be beat. So consistent. Everything is always ready on time and packaged perfectly. Order is always done right as well. A saving grace during quarantine.

Yelp
How have I not yet reviewed my beloved Sushi Chef yet? I visited recently for a sit-down lunch with colleagues and was treated amazingly by Càmela and the daytime team. Embarrassingly, I only ever order items from the noodle soup page - today was the tempura udon (though all the udons have been delicious. Something about their dashi...) and I never regret it. I am a bit of a voracious eater, so I think portions are a little small for me, but it's never stopped me from ordering because it is so good. This past visit, we were also given a small dish of pickled vegetable something to sample that wasn't kimchi - I wish I remember what it was called, but it was definitely something familiar for those of you raised on Asian cuisine. Others I have dined with have ordered the bentos, the lunch special rolls, a wide variety of regular menu rolls, rice bowls, and countless others. I have never seen a disappointed diner, not in all my visits. It's a pleasure for me to introduce new people to this delightful find on an unassuming corner of Coral Way, with its oft-flooded parking lot and crowded dinner rush. But don't be deterred - you'll pass straight by all the Brickell madness of overpriced food, and head straight for Chef Enomoto's quality, satisfying, and affordable fare. There's also a marketplace in the front, with a selection of goodies (both edible and decorative) to take home. For take-out, I've been able to order lunch to-go, but I don't believe they allow it for dinner. But why would you want to? The restaurant is so charming, and the staff are also wlecoming with their 'Irasshaimase"!
google avatar

Daniel O.

Yelp
I'm not making this review (that) long. Go visit Chef Enomoto, he's an absolute pleasure to speak to and you know he loves his restaurant and his staff. I've tried arguably everything by this point Appetizers: Dynamite Au Gratin if you're not ordering the Volcano Roll Gyozas Shrimp Shumai Sushi: Volcano Dynamite Crunchy Madeline Dragon ( if you're feeling boujee) Tekka Maki because I love dipping it in Spicy Mayo More substantial Try a Bento Box, Ramen, Soba or Udon You're. Welcome. http://www.sushichefusa.com

Yelp
This place looks like a family-style restaurant. Very clean and neat inside. I like the idea of having photos on the menu, which made it easier for me to look into what I wanted. The appetizers were good and so were the entree. The price was also reasonable. I also enjoyed the hot tea very much! It smelled great and it was so smooth. Unfortunately they only sell their tea bags in a big portion (100bags)
google avatar

Mauricio C.

Yelp
This is the most overpriced place in Miami period. I paid 20 dollars to get 6 tiny little pieces of california roll and 6 tiny pieces of salmon roll. It came in a cheap styrofoam box and they did not even include soysauce in the order. To make things worse its the most average tasting sushi ever. Overall this place is a total ripoff. Go eat in sushi maki or iron sushi.

Andrea B.

Yelp
Great food and great prices! This spot has been on my radar for a while but it wasn't until today that I actually walked in. It's easy to miss it or to mistakenly categorize it because it's in a little old plaza. But DO NOT MISS OUT! After having a restaurant in Venezuela, the chef brought his expertise to this restaurant on Coral Way. Very fresh ingredients and so much flavor in each dish. The menu is huge but does not overwhelm you. You can find all kinds of options and combinations of things. Definitely worth the stop!

Yelp
During Covid-19, their takeout option is very convenient and effortless. The staff are very sweet and helpful on the phone. Love how they offer 10% off on your next order and the origami with every order is simply a nice gesture during this time of uncertainty. I'm happy they are open and that my girls and I are able to get our sushi cravings satisfied

Yelp
$199 for next to nothing. I'm assuming this is the sashimi mix Royal; which is a complete rip off for $34.99 Update: I ordered directly and picked it up myself: the portion were excellent and the food was so great. I will never use a food delivery again from this place; save almost 50% and pick it up in person: and get twice the food. The delivery company took 45% when I first ordered. The restaurant is very safe.

Yelp
The sushi is pretty good but the service sucks and the sushi chefs really don't know what they are re doing. We got there at 830 and they said we need to order right when we sit down because they are closing soon. They also said that I can only order the alcohol I am drinking now and that I can't order any after the food is done nor can I order any further in the meal. I felt like they just didn't want out business. The waitress was generally kinda rude at the beginning. We had to order all the food at once. I did not have a problem leaving and going to one of the million other sushi restaurants in Miami. We spent probably $400 on 3 people, (just mine was $200 or so.) They wanted to close a hour early so we were rushed. When u asked for fresh wasabi they gave me some sort of chopped up wasabi root in soy sauce. I'm not sure if they don't have a grater or they just decide to waste a indgirednet like wasabi root.

Yelp
MUST TRY. Not only the food is great, tasty, and fresh, but the service is quick. Forget about pricey, overrated sushi places. This place is all you need.

Yelp
Great local sushi spot. Been here a few times for dine in and takeout over the years. Very good quality sushi, great service, and a pleasant local atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. We drive over from the Grove, it's pretty close and definitely the best option in the area! COVID UPDATE: They're taking it seriously! I felt very safe getting takeout. They're super organized, with a designated contactless pickup area, plexiglass, and an easy payment system. One of the best takeout experiences I have had. American dream roll and spicy tuna are hits. The fatty salmon is delicious and worth the indulgent price for a few pieces.
