I did the omakase for 85$ and it was delicious. Thet chefs also offered us a few shots of sakè. The quality of fish is high and the amount of food more than fair. They're quote fast in cleaning up the table, you might feel slightly pressured to finish.

Google
Honest Review: I go to omakse quite often and this place scratches a certain itch, and that’s a no-frills omakse spot with fresh fish, quality service, and just a place to get your sushi fix. The ambiance here is a not the reason you come. There is no decor, no clam lighting, and a very tight space that’s just a sushi bar. Also, i would say some of the sushi wasn’t the best,. The soup was also very basic, looked liked some frozen veggies and hot water. The price fix was $85 and I’ve had way better for less. You pay for the neighborhood really. I enjoyed the staff and food but will not return.

Google
Been trying omakases around town and this is hands down one of the top experiences I have had. Quality of food - fantastic Chefs - fun, respectful, chill Food service - they adapt the choices for personal preferences and allergies in a seamless way that doesn’t make anyone feel called out or left out The service overall is efficient, respectful, and fantastic. A hidden gem and definitely a place I will return to and share with friends!

Google
With omakase restaurants all over the city with prices going into the hundreds, it’s hard to know which ones are really worth it. At $65 for 12 courses, Sushi Fan is a steal. All the pieces were delicious with each piece being better than the last. The last few pieces were truly exceptional. Food, service, price all 5/5. Definitely recommend for anyone just getting into omakase, or veteran sushi connoisseurs.

Google
One of the most amazing dining experiences of my life! Diverse lineup of amazing quality fish with subtle toppings that weren’t overbearing. Birthday was made perfect with their service and the surprise was phenomenal. Easily among the best omakase restaurants in the city. We showed up 10 min late (first time ever it was a poorly coordinated surprise!) but as opposed to every omakase place in the city they were accommodating and we didn’t miss a step!

If you're anywhere near East Village, don't miss this place. It's BYOB, incredible sushi, and wonderful service in a clean and chill, no-frills space. I've been dreaming about it since I went last week 🤤 And I'm going back as soon as I can. Seriously, TRY IT! Update: The price has gone up / offerings have changed since I wrote this review. A few months ago was around $65 I think for 13-course, which was no longer on the menu. Options are now 15-course for $85, or 18-course for $140. 15-course was still great, and still decent value when considering it's BYOB. I just wish they still had the 13-course offering because I didn't want or need a dessert (which was the 15th course).

Google
Went there with my family, both of us were impressed with the value of the food! First of all, 12 courses for only $65, and secondly the food were very fresh!! Even tho they are still under soft opening, but very worthy it to try it. And forgot to mention that the best part is you can BYOB!! Will be back again.

Google
Sushi Fan, 102 St Marks Pl, New York, NY WOW, I had such a great Omakase experience at Sushi Fan. While Sushi Fan is one of the least expensive Omakase restaurants in the city, their Omakase was one of the best I had recently. Their sushi was extremely fresh. The servings were clean, creative and literally melted in my mouth. The place is very relaxed, with an impeccable service.

Yelp
Disappointing omakase experience. The older reviews here and on Google are pretty misleading. When they first opened, they were doing a 12-course omakase for $65. However, when I got to the restaurant, they informed me that they now only offer a 15-course omakase for $85, which includes 5 appetizers (one of which is a soup), 9 pieces of sushi, and a dessert. For that price point, there are better value omakases in the city with more exciting offerings. It seems like other diners have caught on as well because the restaurant was totally empty on a Thursday night. I decided to stay anyway since I had already made the trek to the East Village. The fish quality was hit or miss. My favorite was the baby black cod, which had a lovely charred flavor and tender texture. However, the uni tasted bitter and off. I was disappointed that they were out of scallop, which is one of my favorites usually, and they decided to replace it with a second toro sushi. The toro was not the freshest and had an unpleasant fishy taste and chewy texture that made it difficult to stomach. With the two toro pieces and then the negi toro hand roll at the end, it was also just too much toro for me, and I really wanted more variety. The rest of the sushi were alright. Contrary to some of the pictures from older reviews here on Yelp, the fish were served with nothing on top (so maybe they got rid of doing those?). It was just fish, soy sauce, and rice. Each piece needed more soy sauce on the fish and wasabi on the rice. The rice itself also lacked flavor. The appetizers were, on the whole, stronger than the sushi. I really liked the wagyu (though could have done without the overdramatic lighting-the-bar-on-fire presentation) and the baby yellowtail tartar, but I felt like the fluke soup was unnecessary and average. The dessert was also just alright--it tasted a bit bland, like it needed more sugar and more sesame. Between the soup and the pudding, it felt a bit like they were padding the total number of courses with cheaper options. Unfortunately since it was empty inside the entire time I was eating, I felt really uncomfortable, like the chefs and waitress were all staring at me as I ate. Maybe that's just on me since I was eating alone. They were all very attentive and polite so I really can't fault them, but since there were no other customers, as soon as I was done chewing one piece, the next one was already ready. This made me feel a little rushed. Overall, it's definitely not a place I'd come back to as a solo diner, and at the $85 price point, there are definitely better omakases in the city.

Yelp
$85 omakase, UNLIMITED complimentary sake and their wagyu fire performance caught my attention. My favorite course was the salmon with potato crisp and least favorite was the miso cod. The omakase felt like it lacked a lot of innovated garnishes. In a city full of cheap omakases, Sushi Fan did not leave a memorable palette. The uni was bitter. I was so turned off by my whole experience that towards the end when they asked if we would like to order off the menu for their premium items, I opted out on their services. I have pictures of every course but it didn't look interesting enough compared to the other omakases I've been too. They also skipped the Madai 6th course. Mind you it was a full seating that no one caught on. They didn't even tell us but just proceeded to give us the next course without informing us if they were out of it. However the chefs made it up by giving us Otoro as the 14th course (we already had Chutoro). I didn't appreciate how as customers we weren't informed by their actions. I told my friends if they noticed & they were like "wow we didn't but now that you mentioned it you're right". My least favorite thing was that our chef wasn't as upbeat towards my end of the sushi bar but was socializing with other customers when he walked towards the other end. (I was sitting at the corner with my friends & a couple next to us) I could tell the couple felt neglected as well since they were also peeking over whenever our chef was at the other station. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My boyfriend had picked this place because of the marketing of free sake in which we did not get even once. We would've byob our own sake if we weren't misled by their team. :/

Yelp
This is one (of many) omakase places I have bookmarked in the city - my boyfriend surprised me and took me to Sushi Fan for a late birthday dinner. Note: they don't seem to be as strict with arrival times as there was a party of two next to us that were at least 20 minutes late - they were still seated and served, but do still show up on time. This place is BYOB with no corkage fee! There's a liquor store around the corner with a small selection of sake. You can also choose what sake glass you want to use which I thought was really fun. The menu are printed on the handheld paper fan - sadly I didn't get a picture, but it was a super cute concept and very fitting to the restaurants name! Prices are also very reasonable - it was 12 pieces for $65. Everything was super delicious and fresh - it was hard to pick a favorite, but the toro or the uni would be my top 2 picks. We also ordered the wagyu a la carte and it was also delicious, but I would probably skip out on the wagyu next time and order another piece of the uni or toro. Service was great as well! Everyone was super kind and attentive. We didn't finish the bottles of sake we brought and they were kind enough to give us a bag to take it home. Highly recommend checking this place out for affordable omakase!

Yelp
Amazing quality sushi for an amazing price. Came here with the in laws and everyone really enjoyed the pieces. We ordered a few extras at the end and even got a free piece for posting on IG which was great. Definitely recommend! Omakase Courses: - sea bream - striped jack - king salmon - fluke with fluke fin on top - hamachi torched with banana pepper - scallop with lime zest - lean tuna with chopped toro on top - botan ebi torched with garlic butter - chutoro - otoro with lean tuna and caviar on top - uni and baby white shrimp hand roll - toro scallion

Yelp
New fan! For Sushi Fan! Our biggest mistake was missing out on the BYOB. Otherwise, found this place to be reasonably priced omakase of $65 for 12 pieces (not including specials a la carte like the wagyu pictured). I really loved some of the creativity I saw in many of these pieces! Especially when he layers on different kinds of fish on top of the nigiri. Some combinations were really pleasant and unique, such as one scallop with uni piece. We discovered this location upon looking for last-minute omakase and were so glad we did. We came in pretty early (5:30pm?) and found it very quiet, so the servers and the chef were very attentive to us and happily explained the courses do us. Found the restaurant itself to be simple, clean (but this place overall seems very new haha). Wonderful time here, hoping to come by again soon!

Yelp
Came here for omakase, the chef as well as the hostess were awesome and took really great care of us. It's on the smaller side and has about 16 seats but is very cozy. Every piece of sushi was incredible and I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
Sushi Fan is from the same people and chefs who initially created and ran Sanyuu West, so you know it's incredible. At $65 for 12 pieces, it's a very affordable and delicious omakase option. The pieces all have a bit of creative flair that I love and are doled out at a great rhythm. My one complaint would be that the ambience/aesthetic is a bit dim and boring, but that doesn't detract from incredible food.

Yelp
Great 12 piece omakase for only $65, and it's BYOB! I was really impressed with the quality - each piece was fresh, the fish cuts were generous and they didn't put too much wasabi. My favorite pieces were the sweet shrimp, scallop, uni + shrimp piece and the toro + uni + caviar piece. It's a 60 minute seating, and you just need to make a reservation on Resy. Service was also very attentive. Not sure how they're able to price it so cheaply, but would definitely recommend bringing a bottle of sake and coming here :)

Yelp
I came in here for a walk-in dinner. and was rushed out in around 30 minutes. It turns out, eating 12 pieces of sushi in 30 minutes is not a very enjoyable experience. You are stuffed, but not in a good way, and barely get to taste anything before you are told to leave. And when you leave the shop, you are borderline puking what you just ate. Aside from that, our server told us there was Sake on the house. So we just went with that. But we weren't served Sake until 6 courses in (halfway), and we also had to explicitly ask the chef to pour for us. I understand they might be stingy about it, since it's "free alcohol," but don't lie to us about it being served after the appetizer, and it was very infuriating that they just stood around after we asked twice for it! I would have just done BYOB, and I suggest others to do that as well, if you want to drink something. The sake they serve is cheap, as expected, and has been open for a few days at least, but my main complaint is that they lied about when to serve it, and their lack of action to fix it. Now, for the sushi. It is just ok. For $65, there are some pretty solid omakases out there, e.g. Shiki, or one of the "Omakase by ..." brands. What I thought of the sushi was: - The quantity of fish is pretty generous. Thick cuts. - Flavor is very, very bland. For the fattier cuts, this was a very big issue, because you would get an unpleasant fat taste, and not much else. - There is an attempt to "elevate" the cuisine with fancy ingredients like truffle. But some of the pieces were not pleasant. E.g. scallop with the truffle salt + truffle was actually not tasty at all. I think just a classic lime + a flame char would be good. Or maybe just truffle salt and no truffle piece. But the truffle overwhelmed, the scallop didn't taste good, and there was no acidity for balance. - On the topic of balance, there is definitely not enough wasabi for each piece, especially the fattier ones. I don't think I even noticed there was wasabi until I had a piece fall apart and I saw a slight green smear on the rice. But it is not very noticeable and made the pieces lose balance. - The rice is extremely neutral, and I didn't taste any flavor. But this is ok, depending on style. - Overall: too salty, too fatty (not in a good way). Not enough acidity, not enough wasabi. Some pieces were very very bland. The only piece that was good to me was the eel, which was grilled and then unagi sauce was applied. I understand the restaurant can get busy at times, so there is not much interaction with the chef, but the food was also just ok. I would suggest the restaurant find some more balance with their sushi, figure out something about the "sake on the house policy" instead of sour service, and not offer seating for people if they are going to be forced out in 30 minutes.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Great quality and the staff is super friendly. The service was great since you're sitting right there at the bar with them. It was lively in the place since the sake was on the house and everyone was getting lit. At least I was lit haha. They didn't have some of the stuff on the menu but the substitute was just as good. I did wish I got to eat the uni. I was visiting and this was the first place I visited and it was a great start to the trip. We'll be back.

Yelp
A nice affordable omakase spot, at a price of $65 for a 12-piece course. And the pieces were delicious - I especially enjoyed the botan ebi. The sweet shrimp was fresh and had some buttery seasoning. We also got the wagyu piece, which was also really good. It seems that this is a BYOB spot, but I did see that some folks were able to order a bottle of sake. But all in all, service was really nice and the food was tasty. Would definitely recommend to folks looking for an affordable omakase experience!
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Decent omakase spot for $65 for 12 pieces. Service was good, but none of the pieces were that unique or creative, and a few pieces were small and bland. Probably won't come back, but we had a good time!
google avatar

Vivian Y.

Yelp
If you're contemplating on whether to go, MAKE THE RESERVATION!! It's soooo worth it! For only $65, it's honestly a steal, idk how it's not more popular. All the fish were delicious and extremely fresh. I would go back in a heart beat. Service was very attentive and friendly! Highly highly recommend!
google avatar

Robyn T.

Yelp
This was an incredible experience. It's such a quaint place that it feels very intimate between you and the chef and the whole dining experience.. for the price you get so many tasty pieces of sushi and it's so fresh I would highly recommend it to everybody. The chefs get the food out super quick too which makes for some amazing service

Yelp
-new restaurant in the backroads of St Marks -BYOB -staff was friendly and attentive -$65 12 piece omakase was pretty good -their menu was in a form of a fan which was pretty cool -space is a little tight, but manageable

Yelp
Great affordable omakase in the east village! If you love going to omakase but don't want to break the bank each time I highly recommend coming here since it's $65 for 12 pieces and also BYOB. We were a party of 6 and brought our own bottle of sake and rose and they provided wine glasses and sake cups as well which was very nice. The sushi was all very fresh and delicious. The service was great as well. As with most omakase you are limited to an hour due to seating times. They also gave us a free dessert and a sparkler for my birthday as well. Make sure to make a reservation in advance and stop by a liquor store before!
google avatar

Jane H.

Yelp
Sushi Fan is such a steal. It's still low key but I think with the right advertisement, it can get big. The quality of the fish is so fresh and each piece is the perfect size. They do not cheapen out on their cuts. The service was great, the waiter was very attentive but the chef wasn't that interactive, which is fine. It allowed my friend and I to catch up. Sushi Fan comes with 11 pieces of nigiri and one handroll for $65. Some standouts were the ebi, scallop, toro uni caviar and bbq eel with foie gras. They are also offering a challenge of sharing them on social media for a free piece of sushi. They were so generous and gave us wagyu with uni and caviar on a slice of toast. This was so good. The toast was actually warm, unlike many other places. I would definitely come back and have already recommended it to so many friends!
google avatar

Evelyn N.

Yelp
Came on a rainy weekday and was seated immediately despite my tardiness. Every piece was so fresh so yum!!! If you tag them on social media you get a free chefs choice piece at the end. For any additional pieces, you can order from their cute fan menu. Service was super friendly and welcoming. Loved that it was BYOB as well. Would def come back if I'm in the area. Delicious and affordable omakase experience!
google avatar

Jamie R.

Yelp
The price and the quality, unbeatable. For $65 you get high quality, and perfectly executed sushi, and don't let the price let you think that you're not getting the high hitters. You get Hokkaido scallop, uni, otoro, and all the fish is so tender and perfectly complimented with seasonings. Special shout-out to the uni-ebi, best bite.
google avatar

Anastasia E.

Yelp
Long overdue but finally I'm writing a review. I have been in sushi Fan around 6 times since August and let me tell you, it's the best omakase in nyc. I have been sushi addict for a while now and went to a lot of premium spots between NYC and LA, but this place feels like home, you get the best value and chief Woo is amazing. You can go to higher omakase places for way more money but the quality would either be the same or worse. It's a hidden spot and before it became too popular I would def try it.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Make a reservation before people find out about this spot! 12 course omakase for only $65! This no frills spot is a hidden gem. One of the best omakase I've had. The qualify of the fish is great and each piece is very creative. Sushi Fan doesn't serve the average low-cost omakase like most places. It's currently BYOB so bring your favorite bottle of sake!
google avatar

Elsa C.

Yelp
12 pieces for only $65‼ it includes Waygu beef, otoro, caviar, Uni, scallop and etc!! And you will get the extra pieces if you share on the social media for their soft open! Totally worth to make a visit to St. Marks Pl
google avatar

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
Friendly staff, food was good, and they have a great crowd that comes in. BYOB - definitely budget friendly for those we like to drink. Staff is great friendly. Each course was explained !

Yelp
We chose this restaurant for my wife's birthday. It's been difficult to find a good sushi restaurant in NYC that serves fresh fish recently. However, this location did not disappoint. The omakase they offer is a condensed version that serves 13 pieces of sushi, with a la carte options if you require more. We tried both and were happy with the results. The Hokkaido uni was sweet and delicious, and the o-toro was also excellent. Everything was well-balanced, and the soy sauce in the rice wasn't overbearing. Everything else, including the scallops, shrimp, and uni, tasted fresh. The omakase is extremely reasonably priced, and we plan to return.
google avatar

Jared T.

Yelp
Been here twice now, and wow Sushi Fan is an absolute gem that I wish I could gatekeep. Our chef Wei? aka sake man and the rest of the staff treated our group extremely well and the sushi was great. Worth every penny and more, especially with the BYOB. Will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
I'm reluctant to write this review because I don't want the word to get out too much. I'm going to try to go as much as possible before it gets too popular. The sushi was outstanding. At the price, it's really amazing. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The sushi is a wonderful balance between amazing quality fish and wonderful creations. In a time when omakase is a crowded space, this place stands out.
google avatar

Yelp
If you haven't already tried this new omakase place, you have got to try it! It's a small omakase bar with amazing service and food. It is also BYOB, so we brought our own wine to go with our meal! They are also having a special promotion now, which is posting on social media mentioning @omakase_sushifan to get one more chef choice sushi nigiri. And can we talk about how cute their menu on the fan is? I kind of wanted to take it home as a souvenir... But let's move onto the food... Wow, the ingredients they used were so fresh. My favorites were the botan ebi, the scallop, the otoro and the negi toro hand roll. My boyfriend's favorite piece was the eel with foie gras torched on top! There was also uni and caviar involved, which we also loved! Thank you so much to Eric and the chef for their hospitality and amazing food!

Angelo O.

Yelp
This place is a scam for omakase. Every piece is basically just fish on rice with soy sauce. The picture posted was not even close to what we got. There was no garnish, no effort, no creativity; a sushi buffet for $30 pp is more worth it. Their ingredients are very low quality, using the cheapest versions of each fish. I've had fresher fish at Hmart. The desert (sesame puddling) was not given to us, they replaced it with strawberries with pistachios on top... They target people who have never eaten omakase before and don't know what level to expect. There are plenty of other places around the same price point ($85 pp) that are way WAY better. Coming from someone that has eaten at many omakase places in NYC, do not waste your money here! Better places in the same area at the same price point: - Genki Omakase ($72/$98) - Shinn East ($69)

Mike F.

Yelp
Out of this world! Delicious, memorable, fresh, and incredibly varied Omakase. And affordable too! We've been here multiple times for a great byob date and cannot recommend highly enough! Have a great time :) Prompt service. Phenomenal food. Relaxing and conversational ambiance.

Yelp
Heaven. This review made me write at least 85 characters but honestly the above word perfectly describes this.

Karen L.

Yelp
A relatively new omakase spot that has its menu written on a fan; the concept is cute. All the sushi pieces are good quality and tasty! Friendly and attentive service. BYOB! $65 for 12 pieces is a reasonable price for this quality!
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
Amazing omakase! Everything was on point and it was a great combination of fine ingredients and creative style. It's BYOB right now too!

Xiao Z.

Yelp
Amazing Omakase experience! Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. Chef was great at making the food while chatting with us. It's BYOB right now with no cork fee which is a bonus! Bring some sake. Highly recommend. Definitely will bring more people back :)
google avatar

Xidan Z.

Yelp
Really good sushi, the ingredients are great, over expectations for this price my favorite pieces are those ones in picture!
google avatar

Henry C.

Yelp
The quality and freshness of the fish is definitely there but it's definitely ranked on the lower end of cheaper omakase sushi spots. They don't do anything extra to the fish besides adding the usual soy sauce and wasabi. I also tasted some store bought yuzu pepper sauce on one of the pieces. It's BYOB so that's a plus. The decor of the places definitely seemed rushed when being put together. They have a decent sushi bar with ceilings from the 1900s. When you walk in, it smells like air freshener and fish. The chefs and servers were nice as expected when you go to this type of restaurant. They also say they gave you a fish of choice when you post the restaurant but they just served my group a piece that wasn't on the menu and was definitely the worst piece of the night.
google avatar

Ying L.

Yelp
Great omakase selection of the price, with my favorite uni and sweet shrimp sushi included!

Samuel M.

Yelp
So, I don't usually feel a visceral urge to write reviews, but here we go... Meal consisted of 15 courses Appetizers: 1. Yellowtail tartar with black caviar in a soup based sauce overall, fish was bland with the sauce being borderline flavorless. Redeeming factor was that the black caviar added much needed salt to the piece which made it decent. 2. Abalone on a slice of mushroom in some sort of oil Could not taste anything. Honestly just the texture of an eraser. Can't say it was bad, it was just nothing. 3. Salmon rolled over fried potatoes with some apple sauce Actually an interesting concept and not bad per se. Just strange mixing salmon with latkes. 4. Cooked sea bass with a miscellaneous glaze Not bad flavor, but just baked fish trademark. Something I'd expect as part of a main at an average $$ restaurant paired with potatoes and some roasted vegetables NOT a sushi/omakase meal. Also there was a bone in it, which happens, but speaks to a pattern in the experience 5. Chopped up "red" crab in a rice cracker (Tostitos scoop rice edition) This had 0 flavor. Somehow the crab had no taste, and of course it was paired with the blandest pairing.. a rice cracker. With fish, I usually can expect that there's at least salt, my hope was lost 6. Orange zest, baked bass/tilapia/cod (not certain which) with taro and tomato with boiling water poured over it (fish tea?) claiming to be dashi broth Interesting process for sure, but nothing to write home about. I think I would've preferred miso soup at your average $ takeout sushi place. At least there it would've felt like the ingredients are actually blended together and not just 4 different things stuffed into my mouth at once without any of the flavors melding. 7. Wagyu beef on a bed of rice mixed with peas and corn There was some showmanship in "cooking" the beef by putting on a hibachi fire show. But in watching them prepare it, they failed to follow up flame torch char one of the pieces (and the ones they did were still raw), and one of the chefs noted it, yet no effort was made to correct it. Served undercooked flabby wagyu on what can at best be described as Trader Joe's unfrozen rice and peas/corn/carrot mix with zero salt or seasoning. So I came for SUSHI omakase and we finally got there... 8. Sea bream with a soy glaze and a red condiment 9. Jack fish with soy glaze 10. Mackerel with soy glaze 11. Blue fin toro with soy glaze 12. Blue fin otoro with soy glaze 13. Uni wrapped in nori with soy glaze Going to talk about these together - The fish was decent quality. - The rice is on the firmer/rawer side - not my personal favorite but it depends on you - Ginger had pieces that were marinated with the skin - noticeable by a darker color and unchewable texture - saw that wasabi (horse radish) was put into the pieces, but was not noticeable All the pieces were served on the same banana leaf, so all the sauces could mingle. BUT they're all the same sauce so it didn't matter. But that leads me to my chief complaint throughout. Just a complete lack of flavor, salt, spice, sweetness. I felt like I was just eating a piece of "fine" fish and some crunchy rice The only exception was the uni which based on the packaging seemed to be imported from the western pacific, and its flavor was definitely richer than the cheaper California uni. No complaints on this piece, solid uni. Appetizer round 2 14. Chopped up mystery fish (likely tuna?) on a mini toast with an herb sprinkle Reminds me of an appetizer at an Eastern European restaurant trying to be French, not a Japanese omakase place Dessert 15. Taro pudding Good base flavor, could've used red bean or something else since at this point there was clearly no effort to stick to traditional Japanese food - no reason to correct course at dessert. But it's a decent palette cleanse TLDR: Ambiance is typical 12-15 person sushi bar with some showmanship and a few free shots of sake. Decent quality fish, but no sauce or flavor to pair with it, and rawer style rice more suited to stir fry (I admit others may disagree on this rice point). Looking around the room, no one was in love with the meal and it's certainly not worth $85. Honestly, if I paid $35, I'd be questioning why I didn't just go to sugarfish (aside from the uni piece).

Yelp
Delicious! Don't miss the Ikura. 12 courses for $65 and BYO - what more could you ask for?

Yelp
Great bang for your buck omakase spot - 12 pieces for just $65 and BYOB! Sushi chefs were very kind and explained each piece they presented to you. The spot is quiet and tucked away in the east village. If you're still feeling hungry after, close enough to St Mark's for dessert

Yelp
The food quality and menu diversity for omakase at that price is a steal (omakase is $65). It's also BYOB. There's a liquor store nearby (3-5min walk), and when you bring the alcohol, they'll provide you chilled shot glasses and keep your drinks on ice if needed.

Yelp
every single piece was amazing and the flavors were all well balanced. the flavors were definitely unique since I've never had something like it before and worked so well together. out of the 3 omakases I've tried, this place was my favorite so far. this was the only place where I enjoyed every single piece. they also have a promotion if you post a picture on social media for a extra pc of sushi nigiri.

Yelp
Awesome 12 course omakase for $65. Place just opened up near a buddy's spot and he happened to be walking by. It's also BYOB! Would do again.

Yelp
Amazing sushi, great vibe. And also reasonably priced! Service is very good. Would definitely come back. Great date spot that does. To break the bank!

Yelp
This place is really bad. The fish is not fresh and definitely not worth $85 pp. Everything is bland and just tastes like soy sauce. The worst omakase I've ever had.

Yelp
Go try this place before it gets too busy. The best value omakase in the city. Eat bite was delicious and unique.

Yelp
cozy spot in east village, fantastic fish and service! A+++ omakase value, place is BYOB so pick up a bottle of sake around the corner before stopping by. will definitely be coming again!

Yelp
Fine for the price. Fish was mostly good if a bit bland. Rice was way too warm and lacking vinegar and making a bit lacklustre.

Yelp
For the price, you cannot complain about this spot! I've definitely had better omakase before, but usually it costs twice this so I was very pleased with the quality for the price. It being BYOB is also nice! Will be returning!

Yelp
Highly recommend this place, very value for money and one of the best spots in town! Service is also 10/10. Very interesting choices and not just the usual ones
