During their soft opening, I came here with a group of 16 people on a Sunday night around 5pm and the restaurant was more or less able to support our group. I had called ahead, so they were expecting us and there was no wait. People were able to trickle in on their own time.
The prices were reasonable and the restaurant helped me put tables together so everyone could be by each other. The bill at the end was around $400 with the included gratuity, so each person spent around $27, with some ordering more and some ordering less.
They could not separate the check which is understandable, and out of all the orders, only one roll seemed to be missing.
Ballard has a few sushi options within blocks of one another and while I like Sam’s Sushi which is down the street, I would likely never be able to bring a group of this size (16) to all sit close to one another there.
The layout of one of Katsu Burger’s former homes is open and when we were there, all windows and doors were wide open, which seemed to create the illusion of even more space.
They have WiFi.
I may bring another group here but it will be a smaller group since as of now, they cannot do separate checks, which is once again to be expected for a group of this size.
