Mexican Asian Fusion Is One of North America’s Signature Cuisines | Eater
"At the Sushi-lito food truck in Tucson, the Picoso Roll highlights the local embrace of bold, cross-cultural sushi preparations coming out of the region." - Ben Mesirow
Mexican Sushi, the Cream Cheese and Chicken Wing-Filled Treat, Explained | Eater
"A shiny red-and-black food truck offering Sonoran-style rolls named after towns (like Caborca) alongside bar-food staples such as hot wings and baked potatoes; rolls are assembled with somewhat more care but remain unapologetically indulgent, and the signature combo packs a Sushi-lito roll (breaded cheese, breaded shrimp, and cream cheese topped with thin surimi) into a Styrofoam tray with foil-wrapped boneless chicken wings and cheese-covered potatoes, while yakimeshi (dark, oily Japanese fried rice) is served for customers to dress with soy sauce, ketchup, and hot sauce." - Bill Esparza
Great food and very prompt service! Been eating here for over 4 years. My favorite is the Sushi-lito roll.

First of all the wait was forever which wasn’t even the bad part bc I understand how long it takes and I’m a patient person. However whenever I tried to communicate with the person taking orders they would just side eye me and ignore me but when a male would come and ask a question she was REAL quick to answer. And even initially when I had gone to order they were just staring at me through the window side eyeing me and again as soon as a male came by they were super quick to take their order.

While looking for good Mexican food trucks in the area, we stumbled across this place, drove 40 minutes, and we were so shocked! The flavors all mend together so well, it’s so interesting and satisfying in every way. I’d never seen any Asian/Mexican fusion like this before, and it’s SO impressively good! Definitely go there HUNGRY, and get the monster roll! You won’t regret it!

Waited 40 minutes for bland fried sushi. Sad because me and my partner were really looking forward to it. We ordered the Lito Especial and the Picoso Roll. Lito Especial was relatively better but overall the food was pretty average. My partner got sick from the Picoso Roll.

Yelp
First, they did not have their sign or outside light on. Despite my GPS, it took well over 30:00 minutes to find it in the dark.
Once I received the correct order, the food was good. While there was ample room in the dining and waiting areas, few people were dining in.
The services were slow. I could see the kitchen bustling with people. I didn't understand it until I saw a small sign directing delivery drivers to a different area. I would try it again to allow it to perform better.

Yelp
I like the sushi here. It's always on point. The only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars is that i feel like their sushi is a little more expensive than other places without standing out to make up the small difference.

Yelp
Have been ordering here for the past few years and always get the charolla... carnivoro is def a must have! Love the food and quality is great. Down side is they hardly EVER answer their phone. It's such a hassle and hit or miss situation with trying to place an order. Otherwise, would have given them perfect 5 stars.

Yelp
When it comes to Mexican sushi, this is hands down the best in Tucson. We haven't had a bad sushi, or even disliked anything we've ordered from here. The vaquero sushi it our favorite, taste amazing. And the crab that comes with is the best I've had at any sushi place. The chipotle sauce they make is great. My girlfriend always asked for multiple because how good it is. Overall it's an amazing sushi place. And there's a reason why we go here over anywhere else.
