The variety and quality of Sushi One is second to none. Their prices for ayce are astoundingly reasonable for the exceptional service and quality of food and service. Our sushi chef, Jon, was amazing. His experience in the art was apparent, and it was clear he enjoys his work, having 25 years of making sushi under his belt. I will definitely be returning here as a regular. If you're in Reno, looking for wonderful sushi, a truly delightful experience, and at a good price, Sushi One is for you.

If I could leave zero stars I would. From the moment we stepped in the door, the host was extremely rude, he tried making a seating arrangement when seated already, he tried moving people around depending if we would eat “All you can eat” or order a la carte, which is ridiculous as he was splitting couples and parents/children apart. As paying customers we should be able to choose where we are sitting. Left without service and as we were leaving the host took away beverages from the children’s hands. So beyond rude and such a negative experience. I will never be back at this establishment and will not recommend anyone to come.

Definitely coming back here, very comfortable feel. Good vibe. Time: 6:30pm Friday Location: Off the main path. Definite local feel. Atmosphere: Look well kept, tall skinny building. Decorated for Halloween. Greeting: Fast, friendly Smell: Good BBQ, smells like steak Sound: White people music, 70s 80s Mussels: Salty, a little chewy, good taste, not overdone Wait Time: 2 minutes Crowd: Not too busy Staff: Happy, funny, singing, joking with us. Went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Drink Service: Sake less than 2 minutes Rolls Tried: Disney Roll - Crunchy, creamy, smooth, mild good mix Nigeria Roll - Classic smoked salmon taste Spicy Tuna Roll - Very good! Large Hand Roll - Excellent fish quality Spartan Roll - Very spicy, full of flavor, interesting texture. Heat kicks in after. My friend's favorite! A must try! Godzilla Roll - Warm, nice blend of mild spice and cool cream, very tasty Temperature: Perfect Bathroom: Very clean, smelled good Cost: $40 with drinks Overall: Would definitely come back, great local spot!

On the way in you get the feeling your entering a back alley bar. I had one roll, snow mountain inside was a stail fried shrimp. Outside had barely any fish with a weird mayo sauce all over. Not good at all mostly rice. Server was nice

Google
Very clean venue. A friend recommended this place but I felt the nigiri rolls could be better. The fried rolls were delicious. The service was excellent since the staff were very friendly.

Google
Typical of an all you can eat sushi place. Small portions and long waits between servings. I had to ask the manager to leave us alone because he couldn’t stop staring at my wife. They added ingredients to the rolls that were not described in the menu. Refused to give us a go cup for my little boy’s single ice cream scoop.

Google
Amazing food here today got the best service/help by JJ at the sushi bar go see he for some great sushi roll I got the Reno ace ball park roll

Jose Gomez

Google
The sushi was flavorless, and the unagi sauce was just as bad. Even Winco's sushi tastes better than what I had here. I paid $80 for skimpy, "diet-sized" long rolls. For a good sushi experience, go to Tokio Sushi or Sushi 7 instead. I definitely won't be returning.

Yelp
Good service and portions. The octopus was good. People were really nice. Fish tasted fresh.

Yelp
We love! Went here a couple of days ago, the service is awesome. They clear plates super fast, the food is fresh, processed is really great for all you can eat. My boyfriend has a shellfish allergy, they took special care to make sure that the rolls he had selected were safe and everything came in its own plates. I haven't had fish this fresh in a long time in Reno. We will absolutely be back soon! The location is in a strip mall, so easy parking, it felt a little hole-in-the-wall when walking in but we were so pleasantly surprised. Awesome job Sushi One!

Yelp
Hungry for sushi but didn't have time to drive to my favorite spot. They have a lunch special for $14.95 here for a roll, appetizer and nigiri. When I arrived, decided instead to have the AYCE. First I ordered the mussels and they have a limit on the number you can order. The mussels were super tiny, the size of an almond, which is something different than I have experience at other restaurants. It was good, but definitely could eat much more. I then proceeded to order the nigiri. The fish was good except for the tuna which had a weird texture. One thing I noticed was that the rice was overcooked like the cheap sushi that you get sometimes in the refrigerator section of grocery store. I found the meal to be just ok. Not sure if I would visit again.

Yelp
All you can eat sushi here was amazing! Customer service especially the sushi chefs they were friendly greeting from the moment you came in to when you left. You are able to order 3 rounds of appetizers and 3 rounds of sushi at first I was like that's it but once you order 1st round your so full my kids love sushi and wanted to try so many that the second round we barely ordered any. If you get to 3 rounds wow you'd be stuff. The sushi one roll was my favorite and the salmon skin salad was delicious and the upside down tempura. So many names I can't remember but those 3 are a must try.

Yelp
Best AYCE Sushi in Reno. The owner and staff do an outstanding job making your meal a 5 star experience. Very clean restaurant. Sushi is fresh and high quality. Price can't be beat for the amount of selections offered on AYCE menu. Highly recommend you visit SUSHI ONE restaurant when you are in the Reno area.

Yelp
We're visiting from out of town California, to be exact and had a craving for sushi when we found this place. They had a good variety of sushi rolls, and the restaurant was empty when we arrived. My family noticed the all-you-can-eat option at the top of the menu, so I asked the waiter for more details. Unfortunately, he seemed annoyed, even after I explained it was our first time there. Despite that, we decided to try the all-you-can-eat option and placed a fairly large first order. That's when things started to go wrong. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizers and only received two rolls. Eventually, I had to get up to ask where our food was because my two kids were starving. By then, the restaurant had filled up, and I overheard an employee say they were short-staffed, which I could understand. However, it was frustrating to watch other tables even those seated after us getting their food promptly and receiving attention from the staff, while we were overlooked. After speaking to four different staff members, we finally got all our food just 10 minutes before closing, once the restaurant was empty. I shared my concern with the waiter because it felt like my family was treated unfairly. Waiting hours for food while my kids went hungry was a terrible experience. Although the waiter apologized, the overall experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't return or recommend this place to anyone visiting Nevada.

Yelp
This place used to be RickShaw, and I'm happy to see that some of the familiar faces are still here and that's always a good sign. I'm glad they stayed. The food is still good, just like I remember, and the service remains solid. The ambiance hasn't changed much either, which gives it a nice sense of continuity. It feels like the good parts stuck around, and I appreciate that.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, the associate here named Choo is always so welcoming and makes every visit here wonderful ! If you want an outstanding food experience and a chill spot to hang out and catch up I highly recommend sushi one .! I've been coming here almost an year now

Yelp
My regular spot missed a step today. Usual sushi chef. Loose rolls and didn't quite taste like it usually does. We left disappointed. Might have to look elsewhere. It was a nice run sushi one.

Yelp
Well, my husband and I came into Sushi One today and it wasn't the Sushi One that I know and love generally. Today, we had sat at the bar and felt rushed to order an appetizer. I have never been to a restaurant where the employees micromanage the customers. So to make a long story short. The sushi chef we had at the bar took what seemed forever to make a long roll. He didn't wrap the sushi enough to stay together. Every time I took a bite the roll kept falling apart. I wasnt impressed with the service today. I won't come back in unless Kenny is there. By the way, if a restaurant is going to provide food service, please have all of your employees wear hair restraints. Yes, I did have a hair in my food!

Yelp
Came here for the lunch special, perfect amount of food for $14.95. Comes with soup, appetizer, Nigeria, and 1 long roll. If you want an additional roll it is $5.50. There is a list of rolls you can choose for this special. See in my pics for details. I got the K-Love roll, cucumber salad, and seared tuna. All was very good. The service was quick to sit us down. It took a little bit to get our order in and then pretty much left us alone. Cute Japanese decor, very clean, and cool.

Yelp
My family and I just happen to be on this side of town today and decided to stop in for some all you can eat! The quality of the fish was really fresh! We were all pleased with everything we ate here today. The service was speedy and friendly. It's really great having more sushi options in town! My only negative was that their restroom had a sewer type smell? Which I used after our meal. It didn't take away from how good the food was. I just wanted to mention it so maybe it won't be this way next time.

Yelp
We have been coming here for years. It used to be Rickshaws when we first starting coming here. It's been like a tradition that my peers now friends have kept for years. This Friday, I had dinner there with my two friends. We agreed to AycE sushi and we ordered our appetizers first with our drinks. We then ordered our rolls. We received our appetizers but the first order of rolls literally took them like 30-40 minutes to bring out. They didn't bring them all out at once. They brought like 3-4 of them and then another two and then the final one. During this time we had our waitress tell us that if we don't finish our rolls we would have to pay for them additionally. I think she thought I wasn't eating and that was because my rolls had not come out. We told her we knew we were just waiting for our final roll. We asked for that roll three additional times until it finally came out. I honestly think they were thinking we weren't going to eat them all or they just didn't want to serve us all we ordered hoping that we would order less. We asked for another order of appetizers...well...they never came. We were super disappointed at the way of running the business this time around. Not to sure what the purpose was but we didn't even eat what we wanted to as we were limited indirectly. I am sad to say that we most likely will not be back as the way we were treated was not warranted. I didn't even waste my time asking for the final round of appetizers which was on round 2. The rolls are my favorite I just think the service and the owner have different priorities.

Yelp
Update; I'm very sick and it's been 7 1/2 hours since I had food from here So... I had come here back in the summer of 2024 and it was decent, but the service was awful. But I remember liking the food enough to come back. I came by with my partner today, and it was a HORRIBLE experience. For context, sushi is my partner's and my favorite food. We eat sushi A LOT and have tried most places in Reno and Carson. I do not write negative reviews pretty much ever. I understand that people can have bad days or whatever, but I will never ever come back or recommend this place to anyone. After ordering our first round of sushi, it took 45-50 minutes to get our entire order, with a 20 minute period after they brought a few rolls out. It was not that busy. A man had been sat after us, and he had gotten his food and left in the time we were waiting for our food. I had to ask about an appetizer we had ordered after 30 min. On top of that, when we finally got all of our food, the quality was atrocious. I usually only order nigiri and hand rolls, and all of my nigiri was lukewarm and mushy. I had to spit some of them out. At this point, we had already written our second round out, but everyone who had been seated in the left seating area was gone. We were seated left of the door (table 12), and servers no longer were checking on us. We waited 15 min before we flagged someone down to take our paper for round 2, and then WATCHED as someone making food at the bar was chewing and drinking AS HE WAS AT THE BAR making food. At this point, there were only 4 tables seated in the restaurant, and 2 people waiting for To Go orders. One of the parties was a group of 6, and we literally immediately felt bad for them because I can't imagine how long they're going to wait for their food. We sat and waited, commenting on how many times we watched a chef ring the bell and put food on the counter, for it to sit for several minutes waiting for a server to notice. We eventually got the second round, and the presentation was embarrassingly sloppy (and I mean, whatever! All that matters is that it tastes good) but it definitely felt like they didn't care about it. After finishing our food, we sat and continued to wait for another 15 minutes waiting for someone to pass by so we could ask for the check. Again, no one passed by and finally I just stood up and walked to the counter to ask. I even met a chef's eye contact multiple times as we sat awkwardly waiting. I literally will never leave a 0 tip, and I'm the type of person that nearly always tips at fast food places. I think that servers should be paid more as a general rule of thumb, but I left a 0 tip and now am leaving this review. Obviously, this could have just been a bad day, but I don't think I will ever come back because it's just too expensive to think "Oh maybe we'll have a good lunch today!"

I will let the pictures speak for themselves. This place is our favorite, we have been coming for over 12 years and it's amazing every single time.

Yelp
6/18/2023- Father's Day Dinner for two.. only had lunch before.: Expected to be crowded, and it was.. We were seated in a cramped, small table.. I had positive thoughts at first.. and was glad they offered hamachi Kama with dinner.. Service could of been more attentive.. Appetizers- decent-the salmon skin salad was good, but too many jalapeños.. the salmon skin should of been diced smaller.. I've never seen an order sheet with three rounds ..lol.. My order sheet did have the nigiri maguro-but it never arrived.. Ordered the alligator roll, and unagi.. The salmon skin hand roll was really terrible.. large pieces of hard salmon skin wrapped in the middle-and no flavor.. Background music of the 80's was not appealing-nor was the screaming toddler -constantly crying .. Think we will just stay with our regular sushi place across the street..

Yelp
Sushi One is hidden right in plain sight. It's location is on Virginia St., just north of 395/580 when it crosses Virginia St. on the east side in the shopping center is with Big 5. They have a nice lunch special that won't put you into a sushi coma. As of February, 2024 it is $14.95 and it comes with one roll, 2 pcs of nigiri, and one appetizer. The third roll, we requested since an additional roll is $5.50. It was fresh and good quality. Perfect for lunch and you won't have to waddle back to your office. You can see this and other specials they have on their website. https://www.foodbooking.com/ordering/restaurant/menu?restaurant_uid=5835c5ef-0263-439a-8e74-6750e648f518 My wife and I arrived about half past 11:00 AM. They still were not busy which made it a wonderful dining experience. We were given A1 treatment. A small advantage when arriving so early. The wasabi, for me, a determining factor of how fresh and food turnover the restaurant is. If the wasabi burns through you sinus and you can smell the pine coming off Mt. Rose, you know it's fresh! Sushi One, is that fresh. The fish was fresh, not slippery nor was there any fishy odor. Atmosphere was good. I would say, Reno traditional. Nothing was broke or of need of repair. The only thing I could spot was the restroom. The doorknob on the men's room was loose, but it still did it's job. The bottom of the commode was either dirty or there may have been crack. None of that impeded its performance. I know, it sounds weird that I would review the restrooms, but it does have impact on the restaurant being reviewed. There was no graffiti anywhere. I was pleased about that. There is plenty of parking Will I go back for another performance? Yes, both I and my wife enjoyed it.

Yelp
Great service and the food is even better! Definitely recommend eco end sitting at the bar where the chefs can customize anything for you. Great deal for lunch, and in an easy to get to location. Definitely a hidden gem for Reno.

Yelp
We had a birthday party of 6 people dine there last night. I was very impressed. The last time I was there maybe 4 years ago or so it was not as good as last night. We all had the all you can eat menu. The flavors were exceptional, the service was on spot. I really can't say anything negative about our experience. I can't wait to go back.

Michael S.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious. Our waitress had the kindest eyes. Such a warm and welcoming vibe all around. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I was excited to try Sushi One for the first time! My partner got AYCE and I ordered the Ceviche roll a la carte. My partner has a shellfish allergy and they took the time to ask him questions about it to make sure that he didn't have an allergic reaction due to cross-contamination. We used separate ordering sheets; one stated the shellfish allergy and the other did not. My partner's rolls looked a lot more substantial and he said he enjoyed them. He said the quality of the fish was great but the roll combinations were a little weird: one of his rolls they combined unagi and cream cheese. I was a little disappointed because my a la carte roll just included hamachi, lemon, and avocado and was missing shrimp, jalapeño, cilantro, togarashi, and ponzu. I notified our server and she didn't offer to remedy the situation which was a bummer. The owner commented and said that they offered to make me a new roll but they was not the case. Because of that, I will probably not be returning.

Yelp
Delicious sushi. Maybe less rice would make it better. Overall great place for ayce sushi.

Yelp
We LOVE coming to this place.. the food is delicious ( I wasn't into sushi until I came to this place) The waiters are super nice and friendly Choo always makes us feel at home -- especially when he brings us the Habanero sauce Highly recommend it

Yelp
This one is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in terms for take out! During the pandemic a lot of restaurants were trying to make ends meet and having to do take out only was a perfect way to. My sister in law and friend suggested Sushi One and we were happy to try it! They had different sets or combination orders you can choose from to get that sushi fix when you couldn't dine in! All the rolls we ordered were good! Not too fried and had a good balance of fresh and cooked. Their price of their sets are reasonable as well! The savvy way of ordering online is super helpful! Although we can dine in, We still get together and order take out from them!

Yelp
I loved this place!!! They have all you can eat sushi or a la carts. I went with all you can eat so I can try more options. I had Spicy shrimp nigiri (one of my favorites) Smoked salmon nigiri Quail shooter Ceviche roll K-love roll Tempura jalapeños Everything was really good! The ceviche roll came with a lot of onions but you can ask for less too but it tasted great My favorite roll was the k love roll, it had a little lemon spicy twist to it! Definitely recommend this place!!!

Lejla S.

Yelp
Best sushi in Reno! I have been here a few times in person (great service), but this was my first time calling in an order for pick up. They want you to place an online order from their website. The prices are also lower online compared to Doordash. What I tried (mostly spicy special rolls): - spicy edamame (great kick) - k love roll (shrimp was delicious, loved the crab mix, and the jalapeno had a great kick!) - tundra roll (my favorite of the 4, the shrimp and mango are a magical combo!) - volcano roll (loved the spicy tuna) - salmon blossom roll (not my favorite compared to the rest of the rolls, but I enjoyed the spicy salmon) Con - I asked for extra ginger, but they did not provide extra

Yelp
After a long day of Track and Field Coach and I saw this place and so happy we stopped for lunch!!! One of the absolute best sushi places we have been too!!! Fun and friendly environment. The staff was so helpful explaining the lunch specials for the endless sushi! Chers were so enthusiastic with warm greetings and fun energetic thank you for coming in!!! Highly recommend, pricing was so reasonable and just overall great day at Sushi One! We will be back

Yelp
Went to this place today and had to come back with a great review the same day. Such a beautiful location, you can tell they put love into this restaurant. Being the first ones in and everyone was very welcoming. They made the food very fast!! Everything was extremely delicious, the yakiton had a real extreme depth of flavor, the sweet potato fries were perfect and my s/o finished his edamame in a minute. Every roll we had was so crazy good. And my s/o said the nigiri was the freshest he's had, the salmon literally melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my new favorite sushi spot. Their prices are great and the staff is even better! Everyone was super nice. The inside was bigger than expected and clean where we sat. The sushi rolls were all delicious also.

Yelp
Had a to go order today BUT need to give a shout to to their lunch special that they offer and I got today for lunch:) For $15, you get an appetizer, 2 piece nigiri and a full sushi roll. Such a good value if you don't want to commit to the all you can eat and for to go orders. I decided to get the Yakiton, which was still crispy when I got home, salmon nigiri, and the Disney roll:) the Disney roll was BOMB! Has a good mix of raw fish and tempura shrimp with a little spice of the sriracha. This was more than enough, felt full after I ate it. Will definitely be coming back, the chefs and waiters were very sweet when I came in and greeted me right away!
google avatar

Stacey H.

Yelp
This is the only sushi in reno I ever go to. We ordered through door dash Sashimi with specific instructions and they did perfect. The salmon was delicious and not fishy. Much Love and appreciation for the attentiveness and fresh fish!
google avatar

Olivia H.

Yelp
This place was pretty busy. Staff were pretty friendly. Sushi was not to bad. It was my fault for not coming on an empty stomach so I didn't try to many rolls. My fav was the macho ..a-little sweet and spicy just how I like it The all you can eat is priced like most sushi places 30-40 dollars. There's two dining areas. There's also a cute little bar area to sit.
google avatar

Mad Marc H.

Yelp
Our first time in for lunch 4/16/24 and we loved it.. The server said her favorite roll was the Godzilla roll so we ordered that.,. And it was outstanding! "Crunchy perfection". We also ordered the Tundra and one other roll and they were also excellent. We will be coming back every time we venture back to Reno. We left stuffed and the bill was like $40!!! Hell I paid that much for sushi when I was in college 40 years ago!! So the place is a bargain for the quality.!!

Yelp
Sushi One became one of my go-to sushi spots since the pandemic. What do you do when you're craving sushi but still don't feel comfortable dining in (or maybe were still not able to)? You order take-out from Sushi One! Sushi can get so expensive when you're not eating AYCE especially if you have a whole family to feed. Luckily we discovered Sushi One's "Super Value Sushi Set" take-out special: 2 appetizers, 2 nigiri, and 3 rolls/hand rolls for about $20. We've ordered these sets several times over the past year and I love getting the variety you get with AYCE in a restaurant but also having enough to eat without feeling like a I have to break the bank for dinner. We always order the mussels, salmon nigiri, salmon skin hand rolls, and then pick a couple of fun long rolls. I've never waited long for pickup even if they're busy/the order is delayed and the staff has always been friendly. Highly recommend picking up from Sushi One next time you want to have sushi from the comfort of your home. Excellent value for good quality food.

Yelp
Stopped in around 12 on a Tuesday sat at the bar and did the all you can eat special. Everything was amazing. And Kenny at the sushi bar was great and very courteous !! Definitely definitely coming back. Highly recommend. !

Yelp
I've been coming coming for 3 years. MY FAVORITE SUSHI IN TOWN!! But these last two times the service was terrible. Specifically our server, Nikki. She ignored us a few times. Would tell us to wait in the middle of me asking for something. Never checked on us or asked if we needed anything else. I asked for a side of chili and she said "you still have some there" and walked away. She looked annoyed the entire time. We would ask for things, she wouldn't say a word and would just walked away. Very disappointing for a good sushi spot. Nikki very disappointed us and probably won't be back again.

Yelp
TLDR: Tasty Sushi, friendly waiter. Disclaimer: Not a sushi expert. No idea what "fresh" tastes like. Not really caring about authentic either. I just want tasty yummy sushi. This place is tasty and inventive. I particularly like the rickshaw, which has... honey mustard! That is awesome. I also usually order the salmon nigiri and a TON of cooked sushi, because my wife can't really eat raw fish, or shellfish. So that kinda limits the options. So it's quite satisfying that there were several rolls she could eat. They always have a lot fewer waiters than they do tables. So when it gets crowded, it can be tough to get their attention. Luckily we had a good rapport with one of the servers, and she always smiled and took very good care of us. Don't know her name but she was really awesome. Love the fact they offer cooked banana as a dessert as well. Pretty neat! Prices have gone up, but then it's inflation. One of the few go-to sushi places whenever we are in Reno.

Darien W.

Yelp
This is the best sushi restaurant in Reno. For $25, I get two appetizers, four nigiri, and three sparton rolls. Best deal in town. Order online and pick it up, or dine in. Their restaurant is lovely.

Marliena L.

Yelp
The service is always excellent, they are so attentive and kind. The sushi is so good and they have a unique menu. We go like twice a week it's so good.

Yelp
The food is great. One of my favorite Sushi places to go. Nice atmosphere and the service is top notch. It has always been one of my favs.

Yelp
We came her a few weeks ago on a Monday we were both off. The staff were extremely friendly and diverse. Unfortunately, food was not up to my standards. I'm fairly picky with my sushi spots. The long roll pieces were very large, making them difficult to eat in one easy bite. There were not any rolls that contained scallops... besides the scallop nigiri. I will say the mussels were really good. They come in cute little spoons and the flavor is great. I found myself more excited about the appetizers than sushi.

Yelp
Just flew in from Seattle, WA for a conference at the Peppermill Casino. It was my first time here and I was looking for decent priced sushi in the area. (The sushi offered in the casino was ridiculously priced.) I found Sushi One through Yelp 1.5 miles down the street. The restaurant was cozy with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The first night I ordered way too much. The sushi was super delicious! The waiter and staff were super nice. I asked for a salmon roll and the waiter recommended the Triple S premium roll. The crispy calamari is the best I've ever had! They were super crispy and came in giant strips with a sauce drizzled on top, SO good! I'm also a huge fan of edamame so I ordered 2 of them. The Triple S premium roll was also very delicious! I came back two days later and the sushi chef remembered me and welcomed me back. Super impressed with their excellent service! I did see on the website they offered all you can eat sushi and I would love to come by one day for that experience maybe when I have company. For now, I'm very satisfied ordering takeout and eating the delicious food in my hotel room. I might have to come back in the future for vacation just to go eat at Sushi One. I highly recommend this place for all to try!

Yelp
During the pandemic, sushi was something that was hard to come by and I am so glad that I found Sushi One. They have the best take out deal that comes with 2 appetizers, 2 orders of nigiri, and 3 long rolls/hand rolls. You can't find a deal like this anywhere else! Ever since discovering them, if I want to enjoy some sushi I home, I always go to them. Get the experience of AYCE in the comfort of your own home! The price is so reasonable and it really feels like all you can eat. We usually don't finish our order! They have a variety of rolls and they package the sauce separately so you can choose to pour it on top or not. I have never dined in with them but I would bet it is even better eating it there!

Yelp
The sushi was so fresh and the sauces over the top were so delicious! The service was on point and everyone so friendly. This is our new favorite sushi spot and we love ourselves some sushi!

Yelp
Service was nice and attentive but food quality was poor. I should have known that the kind of sushi that is used for an all you can eat option is not going to be good Grocery store sushi is better

Yelp
Cucumber salad A little on the mushy and wobbly side and way too sweet. You can tell the cucumber is not that fresh. Avoid. Nigiri Hamachi nigiri nice and buttery but I wish the person was larger. Maguro Nigiri pretty good flavor, pretty good texture, but I wish the portion was bigger. Gyoza Gyoza surprisingly crunchy, didn't have much meat but overall not bad for an appetizer. Rolls Godzilla roll - has a nice crunchy exterior with a little fire to it... I remembered that the fish here is cooked so you don't really get the raw fish flavor. Spider roll is wrapped in a traditional seaweed paper - actually, I couldn't even tell it was a spider roll because there's no legs sticking out but after one bite, you'll know it's pretty good. Hamachi Kama Otherwise known as yellowtail collar. They actually give you three pretty big chunks of fish here which had great flavor, tender meat, very succulent, rich mouth feel. Comes with a dipping sauce and all for less than seven dollars is quite a deal. The only thing it lacks is it needs just a single scoop of white or brown rice. Salmon skin hand roll Smells great but really kind of tough to bite into and surprisingly tough meat, too chewy to compliment a delicate dining experience. It's like aged meat - it reminded me of fish jerky. It seems like you could leave this out for three days and it would taste the same. No
