Housemade sushi boxes, snacks & other Japanese fare served up in a casual eatery & shop.
"Save for a handful of stalls facing out onto Camden Passage (and a couple of tables outside), it’s a stretch to call the Islington location of Sushi Show an out-and-out restaurant. Although a solo lunch here or an early evening dinner en route home is never anything but excellent, such is the quality of this tiny Japanese shop and sushi bar’s fish. You can order hot donburi like a tender and satisfyingly sticky chicken teriyaki, and there are bits and bobs ready to take away in the fridge. But you should order your sushi fresh. The place is run by a fish supplier, after all. A piece of fatty tuna nigiri isn’t going to set you back like a Mayfair restaurant and it tastes just as good. Scallop is similarly melt-in-your-mouth and look out for the natto hosomaki too. An acquired taste, but a good one." - Jake Missing
"Sushi Show serves excellent sushi in a tiny space down Camden Passage. You can pop in to grab a takeaway, or sit at the bar opposite the window and watch the fools who don’t realise what they’re walking past. The sashimi is reasonably priced and cut fresh in front of you. If sushi isn’t your thing, there’s also a small selection of comforting donburi. " - jake missing
"A blink-and-you'll-miss-it restaurant, Sushi Show serves excellent sushi in a tiny spot down Camden Passage. Pop in to grab a takeaway and wait for your order at the bar opposite the window, watching the fools who don’t realise what they’re walking past. The sashimi is reasonably priced and cut fresh in front of you. There’s also a small selection of donburi bowls as well, in case you’re into that. " - rianne shlebak

You can pop in to grab a takeaway, or sit at the bar opposite the window and watch the fools who don’t realise what they’re walking past. The sashimi is reasonably priced and cut fresh in front of you, and you can get some great-value sushi platters to share that work out to around £15 per person for a mix of nigiri and rolls. If you’re with someone who’s not into sushi, there’s also a small selection of donburi." - rianne shlebak, jake missing
