"There’s a sweet new little sushi bar downtown, a casual, charming destination for maki, sashimi, poke, soup, and noodles. It’s also reasonably priced, offering sushi and sashimi platters for a good deal and a lunch special that includes five pieces of sushi, a California roll, and miso soup. The sushi left a lot to be desired. There are lots of great sushi spots in New Orleans and this one didn’t meet my expectations. Salmon lacked flavor, rice was gummy, and some rolls barely had fish. It was fresh but not the most delicious sushi.

Yes, it’s more a grab-and-go place but they do have couple tables for dine in. The sushi is simply phenomenal - every piece was a testament to freshness, with perfectly seasoned rice and impeccably cut fish that melted in your mouth. One of the best sushi experiences I've had. Strongly recommended!

This cute little hole in the wall place is so good we went back 2 nights in a row! Came down for Thanksgiving (to get away from family, we don't celebrate) and had some great fresh sushi. Very thankful to have found this place as I'm a gluten intolerant Vegetarian and they had several sushi rolls available for me! Wish i had this place by me 😍😍😍😍😍😍 the artwork all outside this building is gorgeous too so plenty to look at

Just had dinner on their first night open. Delicious, creative sushi rolls (we tried the Tokyo roll), fresh sashimi. We even got to try the beef curry, added a nice warm savory note to our dinner. They are designed for takeout, but have seating inside. Would be great for a weekday work lunch or grabbing dinner on the way home, if you work/live nearby. A welcome addition to the neighborhood, I will be stopping in again.

The sushi is authentic and fresh. Sushi isn’t supposed to taste fishy, the fish is supposed to be soft and velvety. The grade of sushi is amazing. I lived in Japan for 4 years and finding good sushi in the US that isn’t just a bunch of stuff on rice slathered in sauce is hard to find. I enjoy it so much I come weekly. The menu is simple. I appreciate and like that.

My absolute favorite Japanese restaurant in town. Freshly sourced and the most authentic sushi that I have found. As close to Japan as you can get here. The owner is friendly and the service is excellent.

We loved it! The sushi/sashimi combo was delicious. Very fresh and perfect size pieces. The salmon lover roll was my favorite. The Metairie roll was tasty and simple. The staff was helpful with suggestions. Small place, only 4 or 5 tables, but we enjoyed it for lunch and it was full. Lots of people coming in to pick up to-go orders. Will come back when we are in town!
