We visited Sushi Yama for the first time today, and it’s a solid addition to the local dining scene. For an all-you-can-eat spot, the variety is extensive—covering everything from appetizers, salads, soups, and noodles to a massive selection of sushi and sashimi. The food was generally very fresh and flavorful across the board. The sashimi was excellent, but the absolute standout was the yellowtail jalapeño appetizer. It was so good we ended up ordering it three times! Despite being a holiday, the food came out relatively fast. Just a heads-up - this place can get very busy, so be prepared for a potential wait. Since we visited on Presidents’ Day, they were running the full-day dinner price of $35. It's important to note that drinks are separate, but even then, the sheer amount of quality options makes it a very good value for the price. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Visiting Sushi Yama on International Drive was an amazing experience from start to finish. My Korean husband and I love visiting new restaurants, and this place truly exceeded our expectations. Everything was absolutely delicious—fresh flavors, beautifully presented, and portions that let you enjoy every single bite. Honestly, we needed more stomachs to keep eating because everything was that good 😄 The service was excellent, Jerry very attentive and friendly, always making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. It’s one of those places where great food and great service come together perfectly, making it a spot we’ll definitely return to. Highly recommended for sushi lovers and anyone who enjoys discovering new restaurants. ✨

Sashimi comes out fast if you’re doing the all you can eat, so it’s not only awesome, but also serves as a great appetizer. Gyoza is also pretty good, would order again. The hibatchi steak is super tender and delicious if you need something from land. Also just great to have on the side. Noodles were also super popular, though I didn’t try them. All of the rolls were fantastic. Crazy yellowtail was pretty great I also really enjoyed the Kobe 24 - the little slice of lime on top sets it off! Volcano roll is good, but the pieces are little big for a single bite and they are very heavy (due to being deep fried). The price is right The service is great. What more can you ask for? We will absolutely come back.

The sushi quality is honestly some of the best we’ve had at an AYCE spot, and possibly better than many à la carte places. The scallop and yellowtail were our favorites. We had a group of six and ordered a lot at once, and they surprised us with two sushi boats, which made for an awesome presentation! The service however was a bit lacking. We had to ask multiple times for certain items, and a few dishes we ordered at the beginning didn’t arrive until the very end. Tempura was standard for ayce. Would not recommend. Also wouldn’t recommend the fried cheesecake. It would’ve tasted much better straight from the fridge rather than mushy and melted after frying.

We tried the all-you-can-eat dinner for $35.95 + tax and were very satisfied. The selection was great and everything tasted fresh. We ordered Philadelphia Roll, Dragon Roll, Crazy Yellow Roll, Rainbow Roll, Salmon Run Roll, Caterpillar Roll, and Dynamite Roll. Good variety, generous portions, and a solid option if you’re craving sushi and want to try multiple rolls in one visit.

For all you can eat, it was definitely worth it. My table got so much food for only around $35 per person! The different appetizers were so good like the gyoza. They also have so many kinds of sushi to choose from so there is a little something for everyone. I walked out super full and found it difficult to walk but I have no regrets. The place is cutely decorated with so much space and I would come again. It was pretty busy and service was slow but I went on a Sunday so just be wary.

We ordered the all you can eat Sushi and it was amazing! You can order about anything on the menu. The only restriction is that you must finish what you order. If you leave food on your plate, you will be charged for it. That’s fair and ensures patrons only order what they will eat. The sushi was of good quality and much better than what I expected from an all-you-can-eat joint. The server was nice but couldn’t understand us well. He also wasn’t around when we needed him. This is probably due to being there in the afternoon on a weekday when less servers were on duty. I am looking forward to my next visit to Sushi Yama.

Amazing experience every single time. Been going once a week to get my sushi satisfaction and it doesn’t disappoint. Great service. Definitely a great bang for your buck. Expect a wait once you get there but it usually goes by fast; I normally hit the stores next door to kill the time.

Sushi Yama features delicious sushi rolls and hibachi entrees that are delicately prepared and beautifully presented. I had the Yellowtail Roll and the Hibachi Steak entree. The entree comes with a soup, salad and rice. I sub the fried rice and had brown rice. When we got there around 1pm on Sunday it wasn't too busy yet. By the time we left, the dining area was much fuller as people continued to come in as we were walking out the door.

Sushi Yama is definitely a solid option if you are craving sushi on this side of town. The service is friendly and professional, the ambiance is pleasant and the sushi is definitely enjoyable. Orlando does not have a lot of all you can eats sushi places, so this place is definitely a welcome addition to the Orlando culinary scene. I came here with a client and overall, we both enjoyed the complete experience. If you are in the area, give them a try. I am confident that you will find it a great experience.

Met up with an old friend who swore by Sushi Yama in Orlando, and you know how that goes. When someone says, "Trust me," you either get life-changing sushi or a polite smile and a backup dinner plan. Happy to report, no backup plan needed. First off, the sushi is fresh. Not "sat under a light contemplating its life choices" fresh. Actually fresh. The fish tasted clean, bright, and exactly what you want when you're voluntarily eating something raw. Service? Lightning fast. I'm pretty sure our rolls were halfway to the table before we finished ordering. No long dramatic pauses. No wondering if the chef went on break mid-tuna slice. Just efficient, friendly, and on it. Now, is this the kind of place where a sushi master whispers to the fish before slicing it with a sword forged in 1620? No. It's not gourmet temple-of-sushi vibes. But it doesn't need to be. It's very good, solid, dependable sushi with a great variety and a relaxed, easy feel. It's the kind of place where you leave happy, full, and not checking your bank account with one eye closed. Pleasant is the word. And pleasant is underrated. Not outstanding. Not transcendent. But absolutely enjoyable. Four stars. I'd go back, I'd bring friends, and I'd confidently let someone else say, "Trust me."

We were visiting and decided to treat ourselves to some good AYCE sushi after spending the entire day at Universal Studios. We got there at around 5:30p hoping to beat the rush but surprised there was already a waitlist. It took us about 30 min or so to get seated. We were immediately served water and our server gave us plenty of time to decide our first round. I wish I got the name of our server since he provided above and beyond service. I was really surprised how he remembered our orders despite handling so many tables at once and knew which orders were missing just by looking at our spread. Food-wise, fish to rice ratio was well balanced. I also felt even the specialty rolls flavors went really well. Rolls were not drenched in sauce which is how I like them. Service was pretty decent although there is a little bit of a wait in between your rounds so I'd recommend getting your orders planned out beforehand. The servers make sure all your orders come out before serving any ordered dessert. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely be back!!

The All You Can Eat is great, service is excellent, with many cooked / sushi options. Gyoza is good, everything was good. Keep in mind the only options of sushi are Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp & Crab. Many tasty varieties are available, and recommend getting some of the chef options.

For the price of the all you can eat, you cannot beat Sushi Yama. The quality is also great!! Service is fantastic!!

Amazing ayce sushi place!! The rolls are made to order and not from a buffet. They are large and the ingredients are so fresh! I wish someone would've told me about this place sooner, I've been searching for the perfect ayce place!! The orders came out quickly and our server came around often to see if we wanted to order more. This place is a hidden gem on I drive, must visit!

This all you can eat Japanese sushi restaurant is incredible value for money. They have delicious sushi and a huge selection of appetizers, entrees, etc all included! They have a lot of tables so there wait list moves very quickly. We were 22nd in line and were in seated in about 30 minutes. The ambiance is well decorated with the largest sushi bar ive ever seen! If you have guests that like to eat, I'm bringing them here!

Typically when you go to a sushi buffet, they sacrifice quality for quantity, but Sushi Yama is the exception! The interior is really nice with wooden decor everywhere and very clean. The hosts and servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Whenever I am craving a lot of sushi, Sushi Yama is definitely my go to spot. The fish is very fresh and presentation is great if you order a lot, as you can see from the pics we got a boat for both of our orders! I typically get the sashimi, but they also have a great selection of rolls and even hibachi as well! Definitely recommend checking them out if you are near the Disney/Universal area

TL;DR: good sushi/sashimi; rolls were just okay; kitchen food was hit or miss Came here at an off time and was able to get a seat and fairly quick service. This is an all-you-can-eat place, so it's expected not to get regular sushi restaurant quality, but this place was pretty good! RECOMMEND: ~Sushi/Sashimi - Our faves were: ~~Scallop ~~Eel ~~Mackerel ~~Hamachi ~~Salmon ~~Ama Ebi ~~Tamago ~~Masago ~Salmon Run Roll (probably the only roll we truly enjoyed) ~Hibachi Steak (surprisingly very good and soft) ~Green mussels (baked with spicy mayo on top) ~Salmon Tartare (more like a salad with mango, onions, and soy dressing) AVERAGE/STANDARD: ~Takoyaki ~Dumplings ~Yellowtail Jalapeno ~Samurai roll ~Tuna sushi/sashimi ~White tuna sushi/sashimi ~Ice Cream DO NOT RECOMMEND: ~Miso Soup ~Clam Soup ~Spicy Salmon Handroll (filling was mushy/pasty) ~Ika sushi/sashimi (a little too slimy) ~Cow Boy Roll (steak was rare/too hard to chew) Overall, the menu is quite large so will be able to find something for everyone. Orlando has many all you can eat places, more than miami and broward I feel. We decided to try here as we've been hearing a lot about them. For dinner it was 35.99 all you can eat, we got there about 7 and had about an hour wait, wasnt to bad as there was tj max and Burlington in the plaza so we walked around while waiting and then got a text and call when it was ready. There is a waitlist you can add your name on the tablet and can monitor where you are in line... the place gets super packed and by time we got seated they weren't taking any more people in. Our waiter, even though she was super super busy, she remained calm and helpful to us. And everyone was there to help each other out. I love the team work. The food, can take a little time so I suggest ordering a few at a time and then they usually bring out stuf 1-2 things at a time. Honestly everything was delicious, from the shrimp tempura (comes with 2), shrimp noodles, hibachi steak, sashimi scallops and yellow tail and then we got 3 sushi rolls. Oh and at the end you get tempura fried cheesecake and an order of ice cream. Both the tempura cheese cake and vanilla ice cream went so well together, it made it the perfect ending to the end. They did not add gratuity to the check so make sure to spread the love

Sushi Yama is my favorite AYCE sushi spot in Orlando. The sushi there is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with plenty of variety to choose from. The hibachi options and other Japanese side dishes were equally tasty and well prepared. The staff made the experience enjoyable with friendly and attentive service from start to finish. They were helpful with menu questions and our food arrived at a good pace. The restaurant felt clean and welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere that made it a great choice for lunch or dinner. I always end up back here when I am craving sushi.

This has climbed to the top of my favorite sushi places in Orlando. Everyone was friendly from the moment we walked in, to our server, to when we walked out. The food was fantastic, a wide variety, prepared fresh as you order, and delicious (this was some of the best selection I've had for sashimi in particular in some time). The restaurant as a whole has a great layout, clean design, and the ambiance is warm and cozy but not cramped. Will definitely go again in the future. Gets busy in the evenings, so you may have to wait a bit during prime time!

Came here for AYCE lunch, which runs $22.95 per person from 12:00-3:30 (and if you're seated by 3:30, you can still order until 4:00 -- good to know). We went heavy on the specialty rolls: Rainbow, Snow White, Sunshine, Double Crunchy, Dynamite, Caterpillar, Dragon, and Red Dragon. All of them were good, but not the super tight, firm kind of rolls you'd get at a higher-end sushi bar. That said, we were wondering why it took 45+ minutes for the rolls to come out despite seeing 6-7 staff/chefs working nonstop - until everything arrived at once on a large wooden boat. Beautiful presentation, and in the end was worth the wait. Other items we tried: Miso soup, Crunchy hand roll, Harumaki - all solid. We also got the salmon sushi and smoked samon sushi which both had noticeably less fish, with more rice/avocado instead. I get it though - it's these little things that's how they keep the AYCE pricing reasonable. Nice modern decor, very friendly staff, and good quality ice cream for dessert (not the cheap stuff). Sushi Yama delivered a happy experience with good variety and presentation. Just be patient with the timing and order more at once especially if the place is packed.

I've been here for Dinner maybe 3 or 4 times before and think they are 5 star each time! But this review is solely on my Lunch experience. I always get their Krab Salad and during Lunch it tasted completely different not as good as I remembered. Also there is no sashimi and none of my favorite mussels. Also their eel and escolar sushi were so much smaller than dinner time. Last complaint is the Dragon Roll was almost completely missing Eel see picture. The only thing to prevent me from giving a 1 or 2 rating is the price even for the lower quality lunch it is still pretty darn good and I know they do better at dinner.

As always one of the best All You Can Eat Sushi. Everything so fresh and delicious, great variety of sushi and rolls, as well as salads and other dishes. Really love their shumai, avocado and cucumber salad. They also have a very delicious green tea ice cream. Great atmosphere and always incredible service

Honestly, I can't believe that it took me this long to try out Sushi Yama! If you are a fan of AYCE sushi, this is the spot for you! And the best part is that your food is served directly to your table, so it is essentially a buffet without the actual hassle of getting up to grab more food. I was able to try out a lychee martini, which was excellent and well priced. My partner & I also had a sample of everything from the hibachi steak, rice, noodles, and about 5 different sushi rolls. Everything was very high quality and tastes great. If anything, I almost wish we had more room for extra hibachi steak as it was so good! I can't wait to go back soon. It also seems like a great restaurant for larger parties or celebrations as we saw multiple big groups there as well.

We came because it was highly recommended to us by some associates we met this trip..we got the sushi Buffett which included appetizers, sushi rolls, deserts and it was a lot.. we ordered 2 miso soups 4 specialty rolls and hubby got chicken with noodles.. if you leave food on plate you have to pay by how much you leave so we made sure finishing what we got. I think buffet was $35 per person. We prob could have done Ala cart and purchased what we wanted for less but it was very good sushi! Our server was very busy but he was attentive. It's a big place inside and was not swamped.. but busy.. I recommend giving this place a try ..

I've tried Sushi Yama for both lunch and dinner. Dinner definitely offers more choices and everything was very good. Lunch has fewer menu options compared to dinner, but it also costs less, so it's still a really good deal. The service was good and the place was clean. I would definitely go back!

Amazing spot ! Definitely rating it a 8/10 giving the services and the food involved. Great stop and service was amazing and glad it wasn't as crowded. We ordered enough to share amongst 4 of us and were pretty satisfied with the different types of rolls and sashimi. Love their offer of all you can eat for $34.95 a person. It is cheaper during the week, but weekends are charged at dinner all day specials. Will definitely be stopping by again in the near future !

Great place. Everything ive had has been fresh and delicious. The all you can eat is the way to go. The drinks taste great, I recommend the Tokyo night walker. The service is great and quick.

The sushi and fish items were tasty and amazing. I did the ayce lunch and loved the king kai roll. The fried rice and noodles are definitely not highlights. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Overall the decor was pretty good too with some unique looking decorations. I'll definitely be coming back here when it's not busy.

I've been here twice and I'll say the second time I came was a better experience than the first. However, food has been on point for each visit. The first time I came here it was for my birthday and we had a party of six and was sat at a large table. Our waitress this time around was scant to be seen and didn't feel like she wanted to be serving us. It was quite busy this night and it took an hour to be seated. Drinks were strong but took a long time to come from the bar. Dinner selection is larger than lunch selection on the all you can eat. However there are plenty of options for everyone to choose from. My second visit was for lunch and our service was excellent. Between the two experiences, I'd recommend lunch as it was much faster to receive food even though it was a smaller menu. Yet, both times the sushi was excellent and on point. The raw fish didn't have a fishy taste and was very fresh. I'd definitely recommend this place but be wary of the long wait at dinner time!

Great price for what you get. Tasty! We came for the lunch all you can eat. We wish there was more of a selection but we do understand based on the price. We think dinner would be even better. Very clean atmosphere and the servers were great!

I finally tried out Sushi Yama on a girls night out! I had heard rave reviews about the place and my friend spoke about how packed they were lady time she ate here. Thankfully it was a slower night so we were seated with no wait time. I absolutely loves the decor with the large lucky cat at the entrance and the lighting Rich made the environment seem very clean and welcoming. The AYCE here is $35 but you did get a LOT of options. I got the yellowtail roll and the Mexican roll to start and also shared an avocado salad with a friend and tried out some of their steak hibachi! Everything was SO fresh and delicious, and it's some of the better sushi I've had. The server checked on us frequently and kept us up to date on time frames for our orders as they kept coming. They do have a 2hr limit which honestly was great for me otherwise we'd still be there ordering to this day! I cannot wait to go back and try out some more of their food!

This is my family's favorite go-to AYCE sushi place in central Florida. The sushi here is always well done, offered in lots of variety, and is of great quality. I think that the only challenge with this place, which is to be expected, is the potential long wait time to get in. The restaurant is very large, so the queue is just indicative of the awesomeness that lies ahead. I would recommend just showing up 'early' then killing time in the shopping plaza behind the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is very lively. Lots of space for visitors, but we always feel we have our privacy from other guests when we dine. We love this place.

This was a deal!!! It was about $35 / person which includes AYCE (all you can eat) sushi AND kitchen food. There was a wide variety of rolls, handrolls, and appetizers on the sushi side and a few different options from the kitchen. The service was quick considering how packed it was. The ambiance and decoration was nice but I was too focused on the food in complete honesty. Can't wait to go back and try more rolls!

One of the best all you can eat sushi places in orlando! They don't take reservations, you enter your name and phone number on an iPad. We got there around 6pm on sat and waited around 20 min for a table for 6. We waited near the bar, had a drink, the lychee martini was delicious. Once seated we ordered a whole bunch of appetizers from the menu, everything we had was delicious. The hibachi steak was cooked perfectly! Now the sushi rolls, wow! They were made to order so I loved that. Sapporo on tap! $6 such a good price. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. We had a great time and could hardly move when we left.

I haven't been to an all-you-can-eat in a bit so this was fun. I think my favorite part was the hibachi - the steak and chicken were amazing. The sushi was good but nothing worth remembering. Service was prompt and the place seemed nice.

This is one of the better sushi buffet restaurants I've ever been to. This buffet is different where you don't go up and grab sushi yourself , you tell the waiter what you want from the menu and they bring it. Word of advice: When the waiter comes up to your table absolutely don't hesitate to order at least 2 or 4 items because the wait can be slow. So be ready and look at the menu quickly. I would hate to come to this place when it's packed because I think this buffet system is better and cleaner but can take a very long time to get rolls, not sure this system scales well with full house. Just my perspective. I made the mistake of not ordering right away and it took over 35 minutes for me to start actually eating. The restaurant was spacious and had a mix crowd. First time and the customer service was top notch. I'm huge on ambiance and I enjoyed this environment. Fresh food served to order. I enjoyed the tuna tataki simple dish but flavorful.

Sushi Yama is one of my absolute favorite places to relax and recharge whether I've had a long day at the park or just need a peaceful, satisfying meal. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, the staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Make sure to get there early before the rush comes in. I have my go-to lineup, and it never misses: Appetizers - green mussels, escolar jalapeño, mango salmon, yellowtail jalapeño, spicy Kami salad, edamame, clam soup, and the takoyaki (which is seriously so good). Sashimi - white tuna, yellowtail, salmon, scallop, sweet shrimp, octopus, and tuna. Rolls - my favorite specialty rolls are the King Kai and Crazy Yellowtail. Hand roll - the spicy salmon hand roll (raw) always hits the spot. And a surprising favorite, the steak (I get it without the hibachi sauce, just seasoned with salt and pepper) - simple, but so good. Sushi Yama is a place I keep coming back to because they always get it right. If you're a sushi lover or just looking for a quality spot to unwind with great food, this is it.

After a full day shopping at the outlets, we inaugurated our trip to Orlando with a group dinner at perennial favorite - AYCE sushi!! We put our group of 6 on the waitlist using the tablet system and hung around the entryway for about 20-30 minutes before we were seated. Waters and menus came quickly, and our first round of appetizers soon followed. Here are my thoughts on what we tried: Appetizers: You'll find the typical tatakis and saucy slices recognized by most AYCE sushi enthusiasts - we particularly enjoyed the mango salmon and the escolar jalapeno :) I washed it down with a cup of perfectly adequate miso soup, though you should definitely save room for the main courses. Sushi/sashimi: Our sashimi and sushi plates were beautifully presented, and the taste definitely lived up to the appearance! The sashimi cuts were well-portioned, the fish-to-rice ratio on the nigiri was ideal, and the freshness of all the seafood was on point. My favorite bites were the salmon sashimi, seared salmon nigiri, ikura (salmon roe), and samurai roll. Do note that sashimi tends to be prepared much quicker than nigiri or rolls, especially if you have a large order - at dinner time, it may be worthwhile to order more sashimi first so you're not waiting on an empty stomach. Hot food: A little hit-or-miss - we loved the hibachi steak and shrimp that were grilled and seasoned with finesse, but the chicken katsu was basically cut up chicken tenders served with a side of tonkatsu sauce and the shrimp tempura reminded me of the frozen tempura at my local Costco. Not that either of those things are inherently bad, but why spend your appetite here when you could be downing raw fish instead? In the middle of our dessert, the staff surprised us with a quick birthday song and candle-lit ice cream - we had forgotten that we put it on our waitlist note when we first arrived, so we were confused what all the hubbub was! Nevertheless, we had a great time celebrating our friend's birthday and capped off our night with fried cheese cake and scoops of ice cream (and a special plate of cut mango). Overall, Sushi Yama is a solid AYCE sushi choice and makes for a great dinner after a full day at Universal - I'd definitely swing by next time I visit the parks!

Walk-Ins ONLY. Went on a Friday night at 7:26. It was packed. Put ourselves on the waitlist on the tablets on counter. 20 parties before me and waited almost 40 minutes. Nice decor and casual attire. Our waiter was awesome, very helpful and patient, even tho he had LOTS of tables to take care of. The fishes were all fresh. Sushi rolls falls apart pretty easy, but it's fine, it was all very tasty. My son tried one of their fruit teas, pretty good, no toppings came with it, just liquid and ice. Ordered the snow crab salad thinking it might be actual snow crab in it...? Nope, just shredded imitation crabs with fried tempura crumbs on top. It wasn't bad tho. Desserts were all pretty good.

Was pretty amazed by the quality of this restaurant. It is not a typical buffet as you order food from your table and a staff will bring it to you, so it is fresher than most buffet places out there. The options are amazing and can be refreshing for the first 5-ish times, which is good, but after that all you will think about more is to eat as may as you can instead of admiring it (as least for me). The sushi is good, the hibachi is great, and the ice cream is delicious. The atmosphere is also pretty chill and nice. Would recommend!

This AYCE sushi place gets a solid 4 stars for food and service. I came on a very busy Saturday night. If you plan to come during the weekend, I do suggest you put your name down before 8:30-9pm otherwise they might not take your name due to it being so busy! We ordered a bunch of rolls and each rolls were very consistent! The rice to filling ratio was perfect. Not too much rice. As others have mentioned the fish and ingredients used are fresh. The only "fishy" tasting sashimi I ate was the squid.... I definitely wasn't a fan of that. Other than the squid, everything was quite delish!

For a sushi buffet the fish is pretty fresh! Does not have that fishy smell or taste to it which is a huge plus. If you go when it is not busy then the service is great! Obviously this place gets busy quickly so have some patience if you are waiting a bit during those busy hours. You basically just tell them what you would like and they will order it for you on their ipad. But I suggest you to come prepared and know what to order the moment you sit down so that way you don't have to wait as long. And order again when you are almost done so by the time you are done your next dishes are out. Or else you will be waiting and then you get full waiting. Just know that they will charge you $1 for srirarcha on the side. My family loves hot sauce and just wanted a little bit and thought it was absurd that they charged $1. But they give you a whole small plate full of it. So worth if you do use that much. Also my in laws do not like raw sushi but they did enjoy it here. There are plenty of dishes that are cooked and plenty that are raw. They also have hibachi noodles and fried rice! Or even appetizers like gyoza. So plenty for those who are more particular.

We were surprised by Sushi Yama! We were able to be seated right away at the bar, and the server immediately put in our first order. The inside of the restaurant is cozy, and not at all what I expected out of an all-you-can-eat establishment. The nigiri pieces and rolls were quite decent, including some standouts like the surf and turf roll. The hibachi steak entree was cooked and seasoned well - but I would skip on the dumpling based appetizers (leaves more room for sushi anyways). I will definitely be making the trip across town to l Sushi Yama again!

My friend and I came here for a girls night and left absolutely stuffed. We did the all-you-can-eat dinner for $35 and it was so worth it. Everything tasted super fresh. I started with the mango salmon tartare (so good), then had a Philly hand roll that was packed with fish all the way through. The double J roll was wrapped in pink soy paper which was adorable, and it tasted just as light and cute as it looked. Also got the dynamite and baby tiger rolls and finished with the fried cheesecake which was bomb. Only downside? It was HOT. Like people fanning themselves hot. Not sure if the AC was down or if it was just too packed but it made things a little uncomfortable. I'd still come back for the sushi in a heartbeat but if it's that hot again I might dip.. :( Food was a 10 out of 10. Just hope the air is working next time.

When we visited Sushi Yama, the A/C was completely out, which absolutely detracted from the experience and made us feel seriously concerned for the safety/quality of the food with it being raw/seafood. You can order all you can eat or piecemeal, but we opted for all you can eat since we'd seen good reviews. The service throughout this time was pretty awful, with it taking 20, almost 30 minutes to get our initial drink orders taken. We saw our waiter twice after that but it really felt like we were being discouraged from ordering at all based on the looks we got each time we tried to place. I ordered seaweed salad, shrimp fried rice, the Snow White roll, and some salmon and scallop sashimi. The rice was probably the highlight, although it definitely wasn't anything special. The Snow White roll I couldn't eat - I had one piece and immediately felt sick due to it being a hot cooked roll with cool imitation crab on top in the middle of a hot crowded room with no A/C. I seriously thought I'd get food poisoning. The sashimi didn't taste or look fresh - it was falling apart in clumps and just seemed slimier than most places, on top of it being room temperature. There was also a giant awkward open space where no tables were placed that cut the seating in the restaurant by half of what it could be. This place should have shut down for the day if they couldn't keep the food cool, it was just too risky. I MUCH prefer alternatives to this location for AYCE sushi.

**NO LUNCH PRICES OR MENU ON WEEKENDS AND MAYBE FRIDAYS -- ONLY DINNER MENU AND PRICE AVAILABLE ** Came here 2x this week but this time on a Saturday "assuming" they offer LUNCH MENU and PRICE. This was verbally not stated on menu that they do not offer lunch menu on weekends. So DINNER price for LUNCH on weekends is $34.95 Just be mindful. Since its $34.95 be ready to order heavy and high expectations on service. The secret to having your food given to you promptly is to order as much in the first order. Hot tea is tea bag green tea for $1.50 (free refill) Ordered 12 nigiris each of Salmon, Eel and Tamago (egg). - Total 36 Nigiris. Also 3 orders of the Hamachi Nigiri. 4 Orders of Masago and 4 Orders of Baked Green Mussels. Request extra Yum Yum sauce for your baked green mussels also request to have extra masago caviar. Doing so you can add this on top of the baked mussels and its delicious. For dessert ordered Green Tea, Chocolate and Strawberry ice cream and unfried Cheesecake. I did not order sushi rolls this time because for me it all tastes the same with the eel sauce and other sauce they drizzle on top. The tastes : Hamachi - Was delicious and no fishy taste. Tender and melt in your mouth goodness. I would order this again for nigiri. Tamago - This is not house made I can tell the difference with Sushi Tomi tamago and this one. Its still tasty nonetheless. Eel - This is delicious tender baked fish with an eel sauce glazed on top. This is a must order for cooked nigiri, Salmon - Tender fish melt in your mouth and 3-4 pcs didnt have that much fat in them but still tasty nonetheless. The Baked Green Mussels - Excellent appetizer and delicious, Its baked mussels with a baked topping on yum yum sauce and masago. Its served warm. There can be a ocean taste while eating it but thats when I dab more yum yum sauce and masago on top. The Ice creams - Green tea is not green tea. Its just color. Its not tea like taste or bitter. The Chocolate is rich deep chocolate taste. The Strawberry has bits of real strawberries in it. The strawberry is tasty. The Cheesecake - I do not like it fried. Its the batter that I do not care for. The cheesecake is actually good with strawberry syrup drizzled on top with a side of whipped cream and a cherry. Its a graham cracker crust on the bottom. Service here was ok. The water cup that was served was leaking and the server did not even noticed the table had a small puddle of water from the leak. The Hot tea was served later because the server said the hot water is not hot enough as yet. When the tea pot was served the tea pot when you pour it - It leaks. I had to waive down a server to bring towels to dry the table. All in all - you get your moneys worth here because they serve the orders al a carte not buffet style. Def worth it on weekdays though - Lunch AYCE is $21.95 from 12-330pm. Please call on Fridays and see if they offer lunch prices.

Sushi Yama seemed to have a lot of potential but my experience for a Saturday lunch was extremely disappointing and at times unpleasant. The A/C did not appear to be working on our arrival. Not a great omen for a place with wall to wall windows and food required to be served cold consistently. It was also just extremely uncomfortable towards the latter part of our meal, with the windows fully exposed adding to the heat. After waiting about 15 minutes for a table, we placed our first order of food. My first ticket had two sushi rolls, a takoyaki, and steak hibachi as recommended by our server. I did not receive my first food item until 25 minutes later in the steak hibachi, which was flavorful but overcooked. The sushi took an additional 20 minutes to arrive, so 45 minutes from first seating and the Takoyaki did not arrive well into our second ticket order, an hour after we had been seated. Raw sushi and sashimi came out lukewarm and tasted off, I believe due to the overall temperature of the restaurant. We did not feel comfortable eating many portions but felt pressured due to the al la carte pricing for "excessive leftovers". What was to temperature was fine, but nothing special. The shrimp tempura accented rolls were overwhelmed by a heavier fry on the shrimp than I had experienced on a shrimp tempura in quite some time. Our server did his best to consistently refill water and swing back to check on us, but seemed to get upset when we placed sashimi orders larger than 4 pieces at a time. For an AYCE sushi and sashimi experience, this is by far the worst I've had in Central Florida and I'm crossing my fingers food poisoning is not in the cards.

We came Sunday dinner. Rolls took 20-25mins to come out and they didn't give us a last call. Food was just ok and some of the fish was frozen. We got notified the kitchen was closed after waiting to order our second round for 20min. So we came at 9pm and ordered one round of AYCE, kitchen closed so we only had dessert as out option. Was still hungry leaving. Probably won't come again.

I've come here for lunch and dinner. I think my favorite is probably the lunch but that's really just based off of the price and the menu. There is a limited menu for lunch compared to dinner. However, my favorite items are on the lunch menu so I lucked out there. They have quite a good selection of raw rolls and they have a hibachi menu if you're looking for more of a variety. The Naruto roll and the King roll are my favorites. The pineapple fried rice was just kind of pineapple pieces with white rice that has soy sauce on it. So I wasn't too impressed with that. The service here was friendly. Both times I've gone. My servers were very helpful. I would recommend trying to come during off hours. That way you don't have to wait too long since there is a time limit on how long you can have your table. Sometimes it takes a little while for the rolls to get there. So be mindful of how busy it is and potentially order more if you think you need to. I like the decorations inside and how you can see the sushi chefs as soon as you walk in. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

AYCE Sushi is such an amazing deal! Not only are the prices great but the quality is there. They offer this deal for lunch and dinner. Everything was soooo good! The restaurant even accommodated my avocado allergy by bringing my sushi separate from my boyfriend's. The server's are very nice and although you may have to wait to be seated they move fast. If you're in the Orlando area and you love sushi, please do yourself a favor and check out Sushi Yama!

We saw the reviews and the menu and wanted to try this place. We are from Minnesota and are familiar with AYCE sushi. (Sushi Yama offers some fishes that we don't get at home.) The place was casual. They had American hip-hop music playing, which was different than the sushi places in Minnesota. The server was friendly--a little bit of a jokester. We arrived at Sushi Yama for a late dinner. Our server did well to explain on how to order, last-call time, etc. The presentation was beautiful and stunning. The cut of fish was big compare to what we get here in Minnesota. Overall, the food was delicious and if we are in town again for Universal Orlando, we would come here again.
