"Service is omakase prix fixe, with plenty of items. Snacks and nigiri alternate, so the drinks go down smoothly. Our first item, ‘Totomame’, is boiled salmon roe, a Niigata speciality placed on top of chawanmushi to give a taste of home. Rice, salt and sake are sourced from Niigata as well, proclaiming the attractions of the Echigo region. I made a reservation for this omakase based on a friend’s recommendation and it was a wonderful experience. Delicious and it is clear that the ingredients are local, seasonal, and thoughtfully chosen and prepared. It is counter seating only so you can watch your food being prepared which I really enjoyed. It feels like a hidden gem and I would definitely return on my next trip to Tokyo!

A Michelin recommended sushi restaurant. Lunch is available on Saturdays only. Reservation necessary. The main chef is from Niigata, and he has worked all over the world serving Japanese dishes in Berlin Germany, Calgary AB Canada, Idaho Falls ID USA, and so on. The sous chef worked in Dusseldorf Germany also. Some dishes served were specialties of Niigata (soup, futomaki). Slightly different from traditional edomae sushi. Credit card accepted.

Exceptional quality omakase style sushi and side dishes in a beautiful yet relaxed setting. It is clear that all dishes are minutely put together. We especially appreciate the chef’s hommage to his birthplace. The service is personable and on point. Communication in English is easy

この日は2番手の方が握る「鮨 祐大」に伺いました。 大将は裏方としておつまみを作ってくれたり、丁寧にサポートされていました。 カウンター9席なので、静かでゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。 摘み4品、握り16品、お椀、デザートで¥11,000というコスパ最強の大満足なメニューでした! 親方の出身地である新潟からお鮨に合う珍しい日本酒をたくさん取り寄せているとのことなので、お酒好きな方はお酒も楽しめるかと思います。 伺うのは5回目でしたが、大将が握る普段のししとはまた違った雰囲気やメニューで非常に楽しませていただきました。一品一品から本当に丁寧な仕事が伺えて、どれもとても美味しかったです。 このイベントは不定期(月に1回程度)で開催されるとのことで、お手頃な価格でクオリティの高いお鮨を味わえるのでオススメです◎日にちはインスタグラムで公開されるみたいです。 また伺います!!
