Here Are the 10 Best Birthday Freebies to Get in San Francisco

"Getting a freebie from SusieCakes will require a download of the bakery’s app, but partaking in the rewards program earns customers a free slice of cake on their birthday — which is nothing to sneer at given the sheer variety of cake flavors that SusieCakes makes." - Dianne de Guzman

Susiecakes Review - Marina - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"We refuse to accept that the only time to eat cake is on your birthday - and, thankfully, so does Susiecakes. This bakery in the Marina does an excellent old-fashioned six-layer chocolate cake that’s so dense it could balance a jumbo jet. But their vanilla celebration cake with colorful sugar confetti is great, too. If you have a sweet tooth but don’t want to leave your home, Susiecakes delivers cake by the slice." - Will Kamensky

First time trying the cakes from Susie’s and she did not disappoint. My order consisted of the key lime pie, the chocolate cake, and the lemon cake. Key Lime Pie: slice was a little small but its packs a punch. Not to tart not to sweet with a crust that completes the mission. Lemon Cake: I usually don’t like lemon and i ordered it for that reason. This lemon cake to me was better than the chocolate. Not to sweet and a hefty slice. The cake is moist and the filling is creamy. Very good! Chocolate Cake: can’t go wrong with this choice. I ended up eating it two days later and it tasted fresh still lol. Moist cake with creamy filling and not too sweet! This cake is definitely a classic and should be tried by all but don’t miss out on the rest they have to offer.

Google
Overrated cupcakes. Went to check it out due to the hype and cute little shop. Cupcakes' base are dry and toppings are sugary. Tried 4 flavours: chocolate, strawberry lemonade (least worst because it had strawberry in its base so it wasn't so dry), coconut (taste like sugar) and red velvet (missing that 'bitter' topping and smooth base, it was just dry, felt like it was made 2 days before) Not worth it - if prices were half of it, I'd say they'd compete with Safeway cupcakes and get 4 stars.

Google
The shop looks nice and they have a lot of options. There are no seating options unfortunately so it’s a take away shop. I ordered a piece of carrot cake, it was not the best unfortunately! I won’t be having it again here, but I will try some of their other stuff. A piece of carrot cake was $8.25. The service was ok, not the most friendly.

Google
I recently purchased a slice of the Tropical Cake. According to the website, it is described as: Vanilla cake layered with pineapple-accented coconut filling, topped with fluffy coconut buttercream and shredded coconut. Unfortunately, the slice I received did not contain any trace of pineapple, and it was overwhelmingly sweet to the point that no other flavors were distinguishable. I was very disappointed with the quality. For a lower price, Whole Foods offers cakes that are significantly more flavorful and balanced. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Google
Maybe my expectations were too high, but this was truly disappointing. The cake tasted awful — dry, and nothing like what was promised. I’m honestly shocked. You can do much better than this. I just wasted $60.

Google
Incredible service and the most wonderful cakes! On a recent visit I needed help packaging my order well and getting advice on transport as I was flying the cake a few thousand miles home with me! The staff in the store were fantastic and super helpful. The cake made it in one piece and tasted delicious. Best Red Velvet cakes we've ever tasted and worth the trip!

Google
The chocolate cake is absolutely incredible—rich, decadent, and served in a massive slice that’s definitely meant to be shared. Of course, I tackled it solo and briefly regretted it—so much sugar in one sitting can be a lot to handle. But I love the idea of indulging in a single slice of cake for dessert, and this place delivers on that promise perfectly.

Google
I had a tasty red velvet cupcake with delicious frosting and a pretty good cake. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which was nice in contrast to my experience at Kara’s Cupcakes yesterday, where a grumpy teen with a peach fuzz mustache was quite displeased at my interest their desserts.

Yelp
I absolutely love everything at Susie Cakes, and my dog is a huge fan of their dog treats too! My personal favorite has to be the Chantilly cake with fresh berries, which is only available in the summer. It's the perfect showstopper for any dinner party! For birthday celebrations, you can't go wrong with the funfetti or the red velvet cake--both are crowd-pleasers! When I'm just in need of a quick sugar fix, I always reach for the carrot cake or the mint chocolate cupcake; they never disappoint. I really appreciate how Susie Cakes keeps things interesting with seasonal additions to the menu, so there's always something new to try. If you have a sweet tooth, this place is an absolute must-visit!

Yelp
Received a box of mixed cupcakes for a birthday and they were the perfect size. Adorably decorated with an assortment of vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet cupcakes. My personal favorite was the mocha chocolate cupcake, which had a great mocha flavor and didn't seem as sweet as the others. Frosting is very sweet and with a mini cupcake, there's less cake to offset the sweet frosting. If your favorite part is the frosting, then this is the cupcake for you! If you're like me, I had to remove half the frosting in order to eat the cupcake. I'm a minority because both the Hubbs and the Babes thought the cupcake to frosting ratio was perfect. The Babes has already asked when we can get them again so they were definitely a hit! Per the box instructions, I left the cupcakes out overnight in the box they came in rather than refrigerating them and should've placed them in a sealed container because the cupcakes were on the dry side the next day.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing! I say this and don't even like cup cakes but I was told these are the best in the business and it is absolutely true. I got the Strawberry cupcake and it wasn't overly sweet and had really good flavor. I found out they are opening up other locations all over the county with their newest location in Nashville. They also shop nationwide!

Yelp
Many cupcake shops have come and gone but Susie Cakes is still around running strong. I love coming here anytime I'm walking around Chestnut, usually going to the Apple store. They have full size cakes in addition to cupcakes but the slices are too big for me, so I just stick to the cupcakes. They are pretty good at rotating different flavors due to the season. A great thing is that they are open until 8 pm! Parking around here can get really congested sometimes so if that's an issue there's the Laurel Village location which has a parking lot which makes it easier if picking up an order, otherwise there is a parking garage on Pierce street.

Yelp
I was walking by and decided I needed a cupcake after looking at all the cake in the window. The inside has a big display with goodies to buy, and you can see in the back where cake decorating and baking happens. The staff greeted me when I walked in and was very friendly. I was craving chocolate and was not disappointed with the options. I ended up with a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles. The cake was moist and delicate (not dense at all), and the frosting was rich and chocolaty. It was a nice treat and I would order it again!

Yelp
I recently tried the strawberry lemonade cupcakes, and they are to die for! The perfect balance of sweet and tangy, with a moist, fluffy texture that melts in your mouth. If you're a cupcake lover, don't miss out on these delicious treats. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Disclaimer: this review is for the red velvet cake only, as it is THE BEST red velvet cake I've ever had and it sets the bar high for all red velvet cakes that will be consumed by me in the future. If I could, I would give it a 10 out of 5! Susie cakes is known for cakes that are moist and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweet, richness, and vanilla. This applies to their whole cakes, cupcakes, and slices etc. I'm not sure how they do it but it's always the perfectly balanced and stays moist even after a week. The cream cheese Frosting for the red velvet is the star of the show, the whipped cream cheese frosting adds just the right amount of sweetness and when paired with the red dyed vanilla cake, it is a perfect bite every single time. Personally, I prefer having cake over the cupcakes bc the ratio of frosting to cake in the cupcakes is skewed towards a little too much frosting, whereas the cake is jussssttt righhhhttt. Their other cakes are also good, namely the celebration cake and the chocolate cake. But I wouldn't give them 5/5 only because they have comparables elsewhere. however I have yet to find a red velvet that comes even slightly close to the level of perfection of Susie's. The Marina location is small and generally a pick up spot. It's clean and the staff is friendly. I typically order custom cakes via their website and then pick up a few days later. Sometimes there is a queue but it usually moves quickly. Whether it's bdays, anniversaries, graduations, or just being in the neighborhood, Susie cakes red velvet is perfect for every occasion!

Yelp
It's been a minute since I've had SusieCakes but we walked by a couple SC's locations during our visit and I figured it was a sign to just get the dang cake. I know SC has a FANTASTIC Famous Southern Red Velvet Cake (Deep red, moist cake lightly flavored with cocoa, filled & topped with traditional cream cheese frosting.). We learned that the cupcakes are the same batter as the cake but the kind human working mentioned the difference of simple syrup with the cake so we sprang for the cake and we had NO REGRERTS. It was just as good as I remembered. I don't usually like frosting but this one is SO so good. It's more cream cheese forward to me but has the perfect texture. Three of us split a slice and it was enough as it's a pretty hefty slice! No seating really - so just a grab and go kind of spot!

Yelp
Super aesthetic and yummy cupcakes! Pictured here are the One dozen mini cupcakes (6 vanilla and 6 chocolate) topped with SusiePink vanilla buttercream frosting roses. Both flavors were good - my fav were the vanilla ones. Frosting is very sweet so this is perfect if u have a sweet tooth. Definitely wanna try their other cupcake flavors next time!

Yelp
One cute spot in the marina for cakes! Always a long line out the door! Presentation of the cake is always representable!

Yelp
3 stars for: Very small storefront (only room for about 4-5 people in line). No seating available. No beverages or bathroom. But good location if you only want to pick up treats to go. Friendly employees. I prefer their giant cake slices over their cupcakes for a better frosting:cake ratio and more bang for your buck. Also, they both taste best when a little chilled. They are not nearly as good once they have melted -- or even when they are at room temperature. Note that their box for 4 cupcakes doesn't have inserts, so the cupcakes will slide around and get messy in transit. FLAVOR RATINGS: 5 STARS: -- Red Velvet and -- Celebration (confetti cake) flavors are their best flavors BY FAR. They taste AMAZING. -- Coconut on vanilla cupcake: Yum! 3 STARS -- Flourless Chocolate with Vanilla Frosting: Good alternative for those who can't have flour. But it is VERY rich, very dense, and VERY, VERY sweet. ------ Don't waste your time on the other flavors below which have proven to be disappointing, unfortunately. :( 2 STARS: -- Chocolate on Chocolate: Honestly tastes like a regular supermarket cupcake. Nothing special here. 1 STAR: -- Seasonal Strawberry Lemonade: Awfully plain and the worst flavor I've tried at Susiecakes. Also a little soggy from the strawberry slice inside, too. Don't waste your money on this one.

Yelp
Delicious cake & cupcakes from a local bakery full of friendly folks. They do custom messages on cakes and always have something special for people with a sweet tooth.
google avatar

Abigael K.

Yelp
Really beautiful cakes but also really dense so as much as I want to eat a full slice it is very heavy and sweet. I recommend getting a smaller cake than you think you need (also less expensive that way) and cutting it into small slices because that's all you really need to enjoy it! The classic birthday cake is the best. Also, the people inside are very kind!

Yelp
Ordered cupcakes here for my husband's birthday today and I'm so happy and well, he is pretty happy too! I ordered 4 Happy Birthday cupcakes. Usually they come in 4 different flavors but I requested they make them all red velvet since it's his favorite and they were able to do it. Given it was my husband's birthday, they even tied the box with a bow which was a nice touch. He requested that I get them every year for his birthday so I'll definitely be back again for that and definitely sooner when we're craving something sweet. Give this place a try :)

Yelp
I wish I knew the man's name w the sexy beard who just surprised me w a complimentary birthday slice of the classic marble. It's the little things in a day that make me feel good. Thank you bearded man!

Yelp
The ever so famous "celebration cake" not my personal favorite in my opinion. It's overrated and yes, I said it! There's other things to choose from! My go to tho - red velvet , chocolate cake and lemon cake too! All super moist and decadent. You're in for a treat if anyone has this cake for their celebration. Luckily I've had the chance to be part of these celebrations and life changing events. There's cupcakes and cookies, pies, and get this - Whoopies! I've never had said a whoopie anything! I'm just waiting for someone to ask me to go with them. Hahha my excuse to try to influence so I can have a taste of more sweets than I truly need. Any takers? Oh! And they have multiple locations around the bay! Order cakes ahead of time for pick up and there's always a bunch in the display case. How convenient is that ?! The cakes though are pretty thick. So be careful and don't overdue the sugar intake!

Yelp
I used to love their cupcakes and haven't had one in a minute. I ordered a couple through DoorDash and was disappointed to learn that they no longer put frosting in the middle. The lemon and strawberry ones were dry, almost stale. Red velvet and mocha were slightly better. Don't think a 20 min cupcake delivery would've changed the quality. Disappointed overall.

Tea I.

Yelp
$25 delivery fee on a $70 cake?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Wow. Totally just lost a customer.
google avatar

Taylor K.

Yelp
Best bday cake in the city IMHO. All their pastries are so moist and rich but not too rich that it's sickening. Love their cupcakes but the birthday cake is where it is AT!

Biscui S.

Yelp
Key lime pie here was a pile of whipped cream over a teensy smear of pudding that didn't taste like lime. I KNOW what key lime pie is supposed to be. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
I've just found myself my new favorite cupcake place. I ordered delivery today for 8 cup cakes and ate two of them the chocolate cake is moist and delicious with a beautiful buttercream on top. I will dream of these until I return to SF
google avatar

Yelp
This is a really good cupcake - my friend recommended and it didn't disappoint. I don't remember pricing but the coconut was so moist and fresh

Yelp
Amazing Birthday Cake for my daughter Emily! We flew into town and they accommodated our special request that helped make her day special. Thank you!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Overall 2-3 stars. Visit SusieCakes the shop to pickup your standard cupcakes or cake, save your special orders for another cake shop. Service:1-2 stars. I placed an order for a custom cake for my daughter's 1st birthday. Because no one decides to take it upon themselves to reach out and call me to finalize the order there was several back and forth emails that were also quite smug. After finally having to call Susiecakes to pay for the order I triple checked they would be delivering. It was fleet week and I knew not to drive anywhere near the marina. I specified no later than 11AM delivery as that's the earliest they could accommodate. They assured me they would. At 1130 the day of I *again* had to call Susiecakes only to find out that somehow *whoops* they put my cake in for pickup. After a lengthy wait, customer service corrected the store. The order finally arrived before everyone left but had I not called, this would have been an epic miss. Never custom ordering for delivery again, Food/quality: 4 stars as I love the marble cake and seasonal baileys chocolate cupcakes. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
Crew birthdays are celebrated with cake and candles. SusieCakes rule! I volunteered to pick up the latest party favor, a Chocolate Rum cake, I think. The store is very small with at least six women busy behind the counter. The order was ready to go and delivered to me boxed and bagged with a smile. I'm not really a cake connoisseur, however, it was delicious. Smooth, buttery, and moist. Not too sweet.
google avatar

John I.

Yelp
Friendly employees. Easy to talk to. And they even hooked it up! Good cupcakes around the area.

Yelp
What a treat SusieCakes cupcakes are! I have been craving a red velvet cupcake from here for WEEKS! I walk by the Chesnut storefront almost daily as I live super close by. They have short hours (I believe 11-5pm) and I had briefly mentioned to my boyfriend how I was craving a cupcake but they were already closed a couple weeks back. I was overjoyed to wake up to a box of SusieCakes on Valentine's Day..best surprise ever! They had a 4 cupcake I love you special and it was the perfect quantity. They delivered them straight to my door and he even got them personalized for me! The cupcakes are moist and the frosting is so decadent...it is truly to die for!! My favorite is definitely red velvet -- something about the cream cheese frosting gets me every time. I also really enjoyed the chocolate cake cupcakes which is rare for me. I would love to try some of the other flavors in the future because I was really "wow"ed by the ones I tried! My bf and I shared all 4 and scarfed them within a few days, but I do not imagine these cupcakes would have stayed moist for much longer. To preserve the soft cake I recommend putting them in a storage container (pyrex etc) or wrapping the entire box in plastic wrap. The plastic wrap is a recommendation straight from the store but I found this to be an inconvenient solution as I would have to rewrap the box constantly! Try these out and see the greatness for yourself!

Yelp
I am baffled at how wildly popular this place is, I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed at the quality of the cupcakes. I tried the strawberry and red velvet, the cake parts seems stale, it was oddly dry but still oily, difficult to explain. The frosting for the strawberry cupcake was good but way too sweet and the red velvet frosting was just too sweet and we couldn't taste much of the cream cheese. I would definitely not go back nor recommend. I will say the young lady who worked there packaging the products was very pleasant so she brought up my 1 star rating to 2!

Chris D.

Yelp
My fiancé and I were recommended this place by our wedding venue, so we ordered a tasting to our apartment. They didn't send any wedding type cakes just your regular chocolate and others, all were dry and just had to much of that sickeningly sweet and concrete hard frosting. We thought ok we did order it online let's go in and try it it'll probably be better. The "celebration" cake was dry and that concrete hard to sweet frosting gave me a head ache we each took a bite a threw the cake out. But what infuriated me even more is they said the best they could do for a wedding is a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. Excuse me I don't flip over with excitement, Vanilla on Vanilla please don't go to crazy and recommend anything to exotic. I don't know why our wedding venue recommends or even why they say that they make wedding cakes if this is what they do.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting here, but I came away underwhelmed and disappointed. I ordered the 6" "Celebration Cake," which is allegedly one of their signature confections. I knew it would be expensive going in, but it really hits you after you are charged $55 for a vanilla (no pun intended), non-customized cake. On top of this, I found the cake itself to be a bit on the dry side. This wouldn't have been as much of an issue if it were, say, $30 cheaper, but if you're going to charge this amount of money for a baked good, it really needs to be perfect. The last point is personal preference, but I also found the cake itself to be far too sweet; sugar rules the day. The buttercream was the best part, but couldn't really salvage the rest of what wasn't really a good bang for the buck. Would not recommend.

Leah S.

Yelp
I ordered a cupcake birthday four pack last minute and it was so delicious. And the presentation and packaging were amazing too. Great buttercream and delicious not too sweet cakes. Really impressed. It's worth the hype!!
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
I bought three different cakes to serve at a party and every single flavor was an absolute hit. I thought we would have way too much cake left over but they were GONE in the blink of an eye - that's how much my family enjoyed them. I also appreciated the friendly service in store. Such a cute shop with high quality and delicious cakes. SusieCakes really made the birthday celebration special
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
Great place to get fancy birthday cakes and specialty cupcakes! They have all the classic flavors with usually a seasonal treat. Can't go wrong with any choice here!
google avatar

Joy O.

Yelp
Hmm I do love Susiecakes but I don't get why they still have to be finicky with hours and menu. A v popular bakery on a busy street and it's only opened Weds-Sun. (Not that I need a treat every day but it makes event planning hard when the hours aren't convenient for most people). Their menu changed post covid and they still have their signature cakes but not other treats like cookies, pies, bars full time. Again, a bakery in a busy neighborhood but not offering the popular stuff they once did is inconvenient. They don't do their sugar or pb cookies anymore.. they cycle in and out of their treats like the 7 layer bars but then will say you can only order a box of 4. Not one but 4. Why! With Boho Petite opening across the street, makes it more appealing to head there sometimes and get a wider variety of things.
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
Call it a sugar high but most of their cakes are delicious. My top two picks are: the red velvet cupcake and the tropical coconut cake. Moist and creamy!
google avatar

Isha S.

Yelp
Ordered a birthday cake for my husband's birthday- 6 inch old fashioned Chocolate. Hands down the worst cake Ive ever ordered. Cake was dry as a bone and frosting was sickly sweet, thick, wayy too much, and hard like a cold stick of butter. So gross, we tossed the whole cake in the trash. Not to mention the extravagant price tag- cake + delivery, tax ect was around $80 ?!??? Then I find out its $20 cheaper if I had ordered on doordash rather than the website. What a shit show...
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
My friend ordered a birthday cake for me via Doordash and it was supposed to be a surprise. The delivery man called me when he was outside, but I wasn't home to accept the delivery. He kept on complaining that he has been there for 10 minutes and can't wait any longer because there was no parking, even though it's SF and people double park all the time. I gave him the code to my door but he still just left it outside the door, basically not caring at all that it was a surprise. My friend called susiecakes and let them know about the situation. They were nice enough to make a new cake for pick-up. I went there to pick up the cake and a really nice rep offered 2 cupcakes on the house for the inconvenience, even though it wasn't their fault. I of course, wouldn't turn down cupcakes so I happily accepted. They even said they blocked him from delivering for them ever again. The delivery man had bad service, but Susiecakes always has great service. I always frequent them for birthday cakes cause their cakes aren't too sweet and super moist. Everyone at my party kept asking me where I got the cake from and I'll always recommend Susiecakes! Thank you so much for saving my birthday, Susiecakes! Even if it wasn't your fault at all. I really appreciate it!
google avatar

Berenice A.

Yelp
Wow Cakes are soo good. My boyfriends not even a fan of the sweets and kept asking for my of my slice of cake. We got the whiskey cupcake, strawberry cupcake and a slice of the celebration cake. Wow it did not disappoint whiskey tasted like whiskey the strawberry just like real strawberries and the celebration cake wow I can't even. Buttercream is so nicely whipped fluffy and buttery and cake is nice moist and amazing. Service the girls were super nice when entering the shop it wasn't crowded at all when we went and it was just a very nice friendly buttery atmosphere. I do recommend. Bella is a pic of my half eaten celebration cake
google avatar

Juanna F.

Yelp
My best friend got me some cupcakes for my birthday. I love the cream cheese frosting and I love how the frosting is a flat top design yet a perfect amount for the cakes. I put the cupcakes in the fridge then took them out the next morning and waited a few mins before I ate them. The cake was still moist and when I cut into the cupcakes to share with my family, the cupcakes were intact and did not fall apart. All flavors were enjoyable and delicious!
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
Best Birthday cake EVER!! 10/10 recommend. Best cake I've had. Both the celebration cake and marble cake are so good.
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
Stopped in today to order some cupcakes for a friend's birthday. Their app has a discount for 2 free cupcakes when you first download the app, so I ordered in person to use the discount. They're only allowing 1 person in the store at a time, and the staff who took my order wore a mask and face shield. He was very nice and I had a great experience ordering. I got one of each flavor, including the current special- banana chocolate chip. I waited outside for my order, and received my box of cupcakes within a few minutes. The cupcakes themselves were a bit sugary for my taste, and I wish the cream cheese frosting and had a stronger flavor, but overall still pretty great cupcakes! Aesthetics were 100%. Between the 6, my personal favorite was the red velvet! Other favorites per the birthday girl were the vanilla with blue frosting and banana chocolate chip.
google avatar

Estela V.

Yelp
If you love a rich moist buttery piece of cake then run to Susie Cakes! These cakes and cupcakes are such a treat and perfect for any occasion. My favorite is the confetti cake slice. The cake itself is slightly dense with the perfect moisture and buttercream ratio. A MUST TRY!

Staci B.

Yelp
Glad to see that they have a gluten free cupcake! It tasted ok but love that they have flourless options.
google avatar

Curt C.

Yelp
I stopped my SusieCakes on a Sunday evening for a little treat for my girlfriend. When I walked in, I was greeted with smiling faces which made me feel very welcomed. The shop was clean and bright and served as a one stop shop for all your cake needs (candles and cards). There were a lot of options to choose from the different flavors, cake types and sizes. I ended up getting a slice of red velvet and needless to say, my girlfriend and I were happy campers. I think my biggest tip would be to go early versus the end of the day because our cake slice although very delicious was slightly dry. I don't think we'll purchase a whole cake, but the slices are a nice treat!
google avatar

Katharine G.

Yelp
This review is for the seasonal pumpkin cupcake with maple frosting. These cupcakes were dry, lacking pumpkin flavor and the frosting WAY too maple forward. Honestly, they taste like they come from a cheap mix. Skip these cupcakes. Buy the lemon cake instead, it is so much better!

Jack H.

Yelp
The storefront and inside is beautiful, crisp clean colors, pretty display cases and the choices look amazing. We purchased a 4 pack of cupcakes. I was shocked at how small they actually were... and very dry. Paying $5 for a single cupcake that could be bought at local supermarket for far less and way more moist really surprised me. Really wanted to like these....
google avatar

Andy L.

Yelp
Tried to place a order for a custom cake. Some dweeb answered the phone said he will put my request in and didn't even ask me for my information. Thanks for nothing -__-. I appreciate the owner reaching out and attempting to make things right. Maybe on the next one I will get to give this susie cakes location a honest try.

Sofia R.

Yelp
I was craving something sweet and knew that SusieCakes was just around the corner, so I made a beeline straight there. I have been to this location a few times before and I was a semi-regular when I worked close to another location, so I already know how great SusieCakes can be. I walked in towards the end of the day so most of the selection was gone so I opted for the Chocolate cupcake with Chocolate Frosting. Moist, fluffy, and delightfully chocolatey. I'm not one to eat frosting, but I ate most of this one. I didn't necessarily think that the extra icing piped in the middle of the cupcake was necessary, but at least it's good. Delicious, adorable, and consistent as always!

Xue H.

Yelp
cupcakes are moist. icing is crazy sweet. standard cupcake, i didn't find anything too special about it
