My wife and I were looking for someplace to eat that we hadn't tried or that we'd not visited recently. We considered Guiseppe's, as we were in that part of town, but I wasn't in the mood for upscale and expensive (although we like it for some occasions). As we drove around, I thought of Sutton's, since Italian food was on our minds. She had never been, I hadn't been in a decade, probably. BUT, I figured, they're still around. They must be doing something right. And, they are! The interior was a bit different than I remembered... casual, a bit dated, broken up into a bar area with high-tops and TVs and a couple of different dining rooms. It was about 8 PM on a Saturday and most of the dining room tables were full. A good sign.
The staff was friendly, greeting and seating us promptly, at a comfortable corner table. We ordered a glass of wine and a beer, quickly served.
She ordered Eggplant Parm. I got the Italian Meatloaf. The meatloaf was delicious! A nice portion size on a bed of mashed potatoes, topped with a blend of peppers, tomatoes, etc. Good mix of flavors. My wife enjoyed her dish, as well. And, the check was around $70 with tip! It's not fancy, but the food is good and there are a lot of options!
Note, they have an outdoor patio which was close, of course (January). I've sat there before, long ago. It isn't the nicest ambiance as it is in the middle of a strip mall parking lot, but it's a nice patio if outside is your preference.
