"One word: puffs. Whether stuffed with curried potatoes and onions or sweet mashed taro, the flaky housemade pastries alone warrant a trip here. But this Federal Boulevard hideaway also delivers one of the lightest, brightest, prettiest green curries around as well as lusty preparations of whole fried fish." - Ruth Tobias

Phenomenal! I will be back and this is now my go to Thai spot in Denver. Very authentic recipes. They have curry puffs that they make fresh every morning! I haven’t seen this since I was in Singapore. I ordered the crispy holly basil chicken for my main and wow! It was super tasty, tons of fresh veggies and love how the rice noodles are fried underneath and absorb all the sauce. I will say this place is spicy and doesn’t cater to white people spice levels which is so refreshing! I ordered medium and as someone who loves spicy food and eats Szechuan food on the regular I would say medium was pretty spicy! The service was great too! Awesome family owned business. Run don’t walk here!!

Suvipa is a hidden gem in Denver. The food was delicious and felt homey/authentic. They give generous portions. We had the beef drunken noodles with chicken pineapple fried rice. There was just the right amount of veggie/ protein ratio.

Google
Dined in during friday night; menu had a lot of options including drunken noodles, red curry, thai curry. The portions offered were huge and enough for two people! Would definitely be back.

Nikita

Google
Ordered for pickup and it was great! Best crab wontons I’ve had in Colorado. The drunken noodles and pad Thai were amazing. Their prices aren’t bad either and you can tell they use quality ingredients. One of the best Thai food restaurants in the area!

Google
Oh my good googly goodness! My best friend and I used to eat here years ago when our kids were little and we loved it, but we moved to another town. Last night we were in the area and we stopped by for dinner and it's even better than I remembered! The Tom Ka soup was so flavorful and amazing!! We shared a serving bowl and probably could have been full on that alone but we each got entrees as well. Mine was Massaman curry and it was delicious, hers was pork over rice noodles and she was very happy as well. We were so happy with our yummy food that we have promised ourselves to eat their every other week despite the drive. ❤️

Natalia Patterson

Google
The best Pad Thai I’ve ever had! Pork is definitely the tastier protein option on the menu. They let you choose the spice level from 1 to 5; we found that 2 had the right amount and 3 was really spicy. We will definitely be back!

Jackson Higgins

Google
This place rocked! You can tell they really care about using fresh ingredients and take pride in every dish they make. The owner also was super friendly. Best Thai food I’ve had in Denver and at a great price! Do yourself a favor and try it out.

Google
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We were welcomed in from the rain, directed to the warmest table, and provided with excellent service. The staff was knowledgeable about where their ingredients are from. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the service was fantastic. If you want to feel welcomed as if you were family and eat some food that will touch your soul this is the place for you.

Yelp
Highly recommend this spot for delicious Thai food that is also a good sized portion for the cost. This is the first Thai place I've found in Denver that I'm excited to order from again. It is not the fanciest on the inside but it is exceptionally clean. Also, the older lady that was running the register and greeting customers was so sweet and kind. She made sure that my order was correct and apologized for the wait which was fine because I was early. She also brought me out a cup of water while I was waiting which was so kind. Only warning is that Thai food can be spicy so when they say hot, it's hot! Food: 10/10 Service: 11/10

Yelp
No frills but fantastic Thai food. It's a little restaurant in a strip mall but don't let that fool you. The food is on point. The portion sizes are very big! I believe the owners were the ones serving and the lady was very nice while serving my party. In my opinion, this place would be better for take out but I'm definitely eating this food again.

Yelp
I'm so glad to be back here after what feels like forever. There are just too many great restaurants to try in Denver. But I have to say, this place really stands out. Year after year, it continues to be my favorite Thai restaurant in the city. They are so friendly, helpful, and kind. And the food is always on point. Flavorful, fresh, and I especially love a few of their more unique items (like the curry puffy and the taro puff). They have 8 four-tops in the restaurant, but they aren't packed together. You could come with a large group, but I would call ahead so they can rearrange the seating for you. It's a small local spot that also does all fair share delivery orders it seems... so I have never seen them run out of tables, but it does get a little busier during prime dinner hours. I definitely hope more folks try out this amazing local gem!

Souzana V.

Yelp
Met up with some friends for lunch on a Sunday. The place is small, casual, nicely decorated, and clean. Our waitress was attentive and kind. We started off with some papaya salad and Thai tea. We did a medium on the spice for the papaya salad. Be warned that medium may be very hot for those who can't handle spicy. The papaya salad was on point and delicious. We finished it all. We ordered and shared the chicken drunken noodles, tofu pad Thai, and beef laab. We all loved the noodle dishes. Both tasted very distinct and flavorful. The beef laab, I've had better. Flavor was just okay. I would highly recommend them to ground their meats when making laab. Traditionally, laab is made with ground beef. Overall experience was really good. I would definitely come back and try more things on their menu.

Yelp
Suvipa makes some seriously good Thai food in the most unassuming of spaces. A small spot in a strip mall it only has a handful of tables but does a great takeout business. The noodles and curries are delicious and the spice levels are legit. Give them a call for takeout or stop in to eat some of the best Thai in Denver!

Lisa N.

Yelp
Had family in town- foodies from SoCal- and they found this gem. I typically don't head to Federal Blvd for Thai, and I guess I've been mistaken. This place was DELICIOUS!!! Every item was sooooo good! Highly recommend the fried rice (see my photos).

Michael H.

Yelp
Holy Basil! My restaurant-savvy daughter has been interested in Suvipa for quite sometime and this week we finally made it here. Some unique touches to Thai food exist here that we have not found at other favorite Thai spots. Run by two senior Thai ladies, the food seems very fresh and made to order. The green curry with tofu was an avocado green, chocked full of fresh veggies, and had a great flavor going on in there. The Crispy Holy Basil Chicken with Noodles was most unique. I never heard of holy basil before, but I am now a fan. It appears to be flash fried basil of a certain species. The Sweet Rice with Mango was magical, see photo attached. Service is very laid back. Take as long as you wish to eat, then head up to the "office" to pay. It didn't take long for the food we ordered to appear. Water glasses were refilled several times. Ambiance: let's just say you don't eat here to be charmed by the strip mall atmosphere on South Federal Blvd. That said, the ladies have done a good job with limited resources to make the place pleasant enough.

Yelp
Alright so I had to turn my spotlight to this Thai restaurant. For a good two months I've been craving Thai food so badly and I have tried two Thai restaurants in Denver prior to coming here and just couldn't get my fix from the others until I stumbled upon Suvipa Thai! Upon walking in, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly cooked jasmine rice (which is comforting for me) and by the friendly staff. The food stays fresh, flavorful, and consistent whether I order for take out or dine in. I typically order the Yellow Curry, Pad See Ew or Pad Thai, and either a vegetable friend rice or with shrimp which are all very delicious and can be made with your preference of spice level. The yellow curry always has the creamy yet spicy taste that I normally like to expect from typical yellow curry with the addition of chicken and sometimes I add tofu to compliment. The pad see ew and pad thai were always a hit for me with the nice balance of sweet, savory, and the perfect chewy texture of the noodles topped with their special ingredients to complete it. Lastly, the fried rice was always spot on and always the perfect pair for any entree! If you are in the Federal Boulevard stretch and are craving Thai food, I highly recommend trying this place as it is definitely a slap in the face with authenticity when eating here!

Yelp
We came here because Star Thai was closed until 5:30pm. We ordered a crab cheese wonton as appetizer. It was filled with lots of scallions and a little bit of cream cheese and surimi. It was not very good. Husband got the pad thai. While it was not as good as the country pad thai at Star Thai, it was pretty good. It was on the sweeter side. I got the drunken noodles and it was disappointment. It was overly wet and it had this really weird taste... kind of like syrup taste. I don't know how to describe it. Nevertheless, I didn't touch much of the meal.

Yelp
Wow..... The food is amazing! Best veggie egg rolls I've had in ages! Clearly made with love and attention. Rolled perfectly, filled in a well balanced way. Not too much wrapper. All fried perfectly crispy and not at all too oily. Literally a masterfully made egg roll. Also had beef drunken noodles. So many veggies as compared to the average Thai restaurant. This isn't average, this is so lovely!!! Beef quality was fresh and pleasant. Noodles were cooked well. More of a wetter sauce and less of a grilly pan fried texture on the noodles, for those that notice such things:) I really enjoyed the drunken noodles but I'm excited to try their other entrees too! The ambiance is a little sparse but was very clean! Service was very polite and helpful. Little story time.... One time I lived out in the desert in California. There was a tiny Thai grocery store in this really neglected strip mall and they also had a little white paper menu and indications of a counter service take out restaurant. I tried their food and it was like no Thai I'd ever quite had. Fresher, lighter, little bit more exotic mix of tang and sour and garlic and so on. Anyway, a minuscule, very old, kind, Asian woman stood at the stove top and kitchen area, which was visible and made it all and it was *chefs kiss* delicious and made with pure love. They were sweet and often sent me home with interesting vegetables to try cooking. They closed ages ago though. This food was the closest I'd had to that experience, flavor wise and ingredient wise. Can't wait to return and try more! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
After having both dine and takeout, I can confirm the quality is there. Before we get to the entree, know that the mango sticky rice is a MUST. So save room. The curry is some of the best. Fully of chicken and veg to feel healthy but bursting with flavor.

Elatia B.

Yelp
We were immediately greeted by a kind and smiling older man who we found out was the owner after being seated. He promptly took our order and gave us insight to each dish we ordered on the ingredients, preparation, and flavor. They prepare each dish from scratch from fresh and intentionally sourced ingredients, like kale from Florida versus out of country bio choy. The dishes were HUGE. Easily 3 servings per meal and packed with flavor. The Panag Curry is such a flavorful must try for curry fans! A little spicy.

Corinne M.

Yelp
This was our second time here and is becoming a new favorite! I really enjoy the serving sizes and the ratio of ingredients. We usually do take out and I even think the packaging/presentation here is great too; They make it easy to take home and also store leftovers! The medium spice level was fairly hot for us though. Both our noses were running. I can usually handle some spice but I needed to downgrade to mild this time around. The Crab Cheese Wontons are awesome though. They're well-filled and have great seasoning inside. Definitely not plain. The wrapper is perfectly chewy and crunchy without getting crumbs everywhere. The sauce is light and sweet. Drunken Noodles are my go-to order. I like to get it with tofu, in which there is a good distribution of pieces and the sizes were perfect square bite sizes rather than bigger rectangle. Basil is not overpowering, and the veggies are abundant! Love the thick noodles too. I always have leftovers to eat for lunch the next day. (Or 2 hours later). The Pad Thai is sweet and saucy without being too peanut-buttery. It's easy to toss/stir around and get consistent ingredients in each bite.

Yelp
First time trying Suvipa after passing by it everyday. Small, low key place, but the food was delicious and the service was quick. The prices weren't bad and the menu was pretty big.

Garryn C.

Yelp
I ordered yellow curry dish and Thai iced tea and the food and drink was really yummy. It was seasoned well and the spice level was on point. The service was excellent the lady that served me was kind and respectful during my visit. The dining area was clean and comfortable and good overall ambiance.

Kerri C.

Yelp
I was visiting Denver and wanted Thai...Suvipa did not disappoint! Portions were big enough to share, great flavor profiles and clean food. Very friendly and helpful as well. They cook from the heart!

Fiona T.

Yelp
Suvipa is wedged in a mall with a bunch of other businesses, a literal tucked away gem. I read about this spot and read nothing but raves about this place and everything truly exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I ordered to go: two orders of shrimp Panang and crab fried rice. WOW. The food is authentic, flavorful, complex and made with experience. The business seems family ran and the food certainly reflects that. This was my first time tasting crab meat fried rice and it was spicy, full of crab and rich of flavor...unreal. Now if I could figure out how to get this place back to Atlanta with me??? Truly top 2 best Thai food I've had in life.

Jami W.

Yelp
Came here for lunch solo in the middle of the week on a cold day. The place was empty, was free to sit wherever and tended to immediately. The server was very kind and prompt with taking my order/providing suggestions. I went with the red curry with chicken at a spice level medium. The broth was light, flavorful and the portion was filling. Would definitely recommend this dish, as well as this place for fresh, authentic Thai food.

Calvin G.

Yelp
Food quality: 5/5 Spice levels: 5/5 can get REAL hot if you want Authenticity: 5/5 everything we tried was excellent Quantity/value: 5/5 huge portions Not much atmosphere and service is whatever, but the food is incredible and also a great value. Will definitely be back

Cydney B.

Yelp
This place was great, no frills just good food!! I would highly recommend if you are looking for good Thai food!

B. H.

Yelp
Home cooked authentic Thai food from noodles, rice, and curry dishes. We always get something different from their diverse menu and are never disappointed. The family staff is friendly and always treat us well.

Mai Y.

Yelp
The service and food here was amazing! They reminded me of my family. Haven't had decent papaya salad in a while! Definitely glad to have stopped by and get my fix in! Next time I'm in town, I'm going straight back for their papaya salad and red curry. I'm sure everything else is good too. This place did not disappoint.

Lynn D.

Yelp
My favorite Thai joint. Great food, friendly service. Ambiance is fair. Bathroom could use improvement. I love the green curry, but have enjoyed everything I've had here. I like spicy hot food, but I find medium-plus sufficient here

Jen S.

Yelp
I try Thai food virtually everywhere I go being that it's one of my favorite cuisines, but this one takes the cake as the highest quality, most authentic Thai food I have ever eaten stateside. The competition is not even close. Not only do they prepare each dish fresh to order, it's not loaded down with sugar to cater to western palates and the aromatics floating around in the food is a testament to the culinary masterminds working behind the scenes. On this visit, we had chicken green curry, Tom yum soup with tofu, and a stir fried tofu dish. Every thing was mind blowing in its flavors. I really cannot say enough about the quality of food served at this establishment. It's a little hole in the wall restaurant with pretty limited seating, but absolutely worth overlooking the lack of ambiance to experience some real flavors of Thailand. Service was fast and attentive, and the little lady serving us was so appreciative for our business. We don't travel to the Denver area often, but this is an absolute must anytime we venture that way in the future. Such a refreshing change from the pre-prepared, inattentive food that we're used to at so many places. I think our total for these 3 dishes plus a hot tea was about $40, so reasonably priced as well and we had plenty of leftovers for a second meal which tasted just as good as the first. 10/10 recommend.

Robb C.

Yelp
I was going to meet 2 friends at our favorite Thai restaurant on Monday April 4th, however, before we left to go we decided to check on the time they opened. Unfortunately, they are closed on Mondays. Since we were all in the mood for Thai food, my friend searched for a Thai restaurant. Apparently this place was only place open on Monday and it had good reviews. When we arrived around noon we noticed that we were the only customers. The dining area was dingy and didn't look that clean. We decided to give it a try since wee were already there so we chose to split an appetizer (spring rolls) and were disappointed when our server claimed that they didn't have them. We ordered the egg rolls. They were mediocre at best. Our entrees were served one at a time, a few minutes apart, so by the time the third entree was served, the first entree was Luke warm. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and although there was enough to take a portion home, it wasn't all that good. My friends felt the same way. We cannot recommend this place and will not return.

Christine N.

Yelp
they have really good egg rolls . We like their papaya salad, tamarind fish, mango fish was also good. My husband didn't like their pad thai much he said it was too sweet. but overall we like the place . We came here three times in the last month. service was very good . highly recommended

Peter S.

Yelp
Place is ittt!! A def go to. Amazing authentic flavor. Great service, fresh food, mad flavor!

John S.

Yelp
I was so disappointed as alot of the reviews were good here. We ordered a few things and ate a small bite while waiting. We had the tai iced tea and chicken satay. The Thai iced tea was delicious. The chicken was cold, and cut up in pieces. The pineapple rice was a muddled mix of over cooked items. Hardly any pineapple, cashews, raisins or anything else but over mixed rice. I couldn't eat it at all. My son had it and thought it was disgusting as well. The Penang curry: Inedible. Mostly liquid with only overcooked pieces of onions and nothing more than red bell pepper. TONS of chicken which , if youre into only meat, its great. All the Panang curries Ive had have tons of green beans and other veggies. This was nothing like the many places Ive had. I couldn't eat it. Pineapple curry: Hardly any chicken and doesnt have the proper flavor profile. ITs missing the depth of flavor that Thai food has. My husband couldn't specify exactly. We will never eat here again. The one star is for the polite service . We'll keep searching for an alternate to our go to in Littleton ( Wild Ginger) ......

Dobbey G.

Yelp
Got about $90 of takeout from here recently and was disappointed after choosing this restaurant based on the great reviews. We ordered medium spicy for everything and overall the food didn't have much depth of flavor; it just tasted spicy. The spicy beef was really chewy and I did not like the larb. The green curry was the best thing we had, but I've had better elsewhere. The people in the restaurant were very nice though.

Leif H.

Yelp
Tucked away in an Asian strip mall on South Federal you will find a little Thai spot known as Suvipa Thai. Parking is tight and you can only enter the lot one direction or you be greeted by not so friendly drivers coming at you. I have a strict guideline when judging different cuisines and for Thai it's how well they do the Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao). Today is the second time that I have been in to try the dish and as it was the first time it came out bland. There are a few things I look for when having this dish; acidity, sweetness, saltiness and spice. This one lacked all three. But I thought that I would give it a second chance. The result was the same. And I even let the cook know the first time that it was lacking fish sauce. Its' too bad because the service is great and I love supporting small local businesses but I just can't say that I would go back again. There are other Thai places not to far that do a great job with this dish and others so I am forced to move on. Maybe they will read this someday and adjust their recipe and if that does happen be sure to let me know!

Kelly B.

Yelp
Our favorite Thai place for takeout! They are always so friendly and accommodating. The food is always so delicious and there's always plenty for leftovers. They are so generous with their portions and the proteins.

roland t.

Yelp
Not much from the outside but the place is super authentic . Staff is accommodating and menu is quite extensive Price point is super good !!! What makes this restaurant 5 stars is the flavor : yea from the outside it isn't much , the place only has 7-8 tables inside but this place is busy !!! Excellent customer service , clean inside very affordable, and packed with love and flavor every bite

Jeff B.

Yelp
This was the most consistently great Thai food I have had in Denver. Denver has a mixed reputation on Asian food that I do not believe is fair. I think denver has spectacular Korean and Vietnamese food. I would have, however, agreed that the Thai food left something to be desired. Recently I have had slightly better luck and a number of places that have had a great dish or too. Still all missed the mark on one thing or another, were inconsistent, or something was off in the experience. Not Suvipa. While the aesthetic is very South Federal, if you aren't into that, do you even like the best food? The food was the freshest, and the green curry was ethereal; it was like nothing I had ever had before in the balance of herbs, heat, and lusciousness. Highly recommend the place!

Maegann P.

Yelp
Best to-go thai food in Denver! Very authentic and delicious! I wouldn't say this place has the ambiance of a sit-down restaurant but their to-go service is quick and accurate!

John N.

Yelp
I was in the mood for some good Thai food and saw this place was close. I had the veggie egg rolls, which were excellent, the Panang Curry, which was fantastic, and the drunken noodles, which were good. If I am in the area, I will be going back!

Lindsey R.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! Anytime we drive up to Denver we stop here for delicious and authentic Thai food! The service is quick and they have take out. We love the pineapple curry, pad Thai, and mango sticky rice! The papaya salad also reminds me of living in Thailand, so GOOD!

Bryan A.

Yelp
Great food and great service! A+! Definitely recommended if you love Thai food! I will definitely be coming back here again!

David H.

Yelp
Panang Curry is the best I've had. The flavor is insane. To die for! Service was great too.

Ashlin G.

Yelp
This was the best freaking chicken tum yum I've ever had in my life!!!! So much flavor and so much food!!! They did not hold out and price is so reasonable!! 10000/10 recommend!!!!(rice on side)

Todd L.

Yelp
This place is bonkers good. Best Thai in Denver in my opinion. Fresh ingredients, pungent spices, all combined to taste like my perfect vision of Thai food.

Kayla K.

Yelp
We love the food here and the service is so fantastic! We are always greeted so warmly. We always call for takeout and the food is typically ready pretty quickly!! We LOVE the thai curry puff and the thai fried rice. I also like the noodle dishes I have tried. And if they have the mango sticky rice (it is seasonal), then I definitely recommend getting that! It is delicious and so beautiful!

Shaun R.

Yelp
Been in LA for almost 3 years now and not a day goes by that I don't miss Suvipa. Man this place fed me so many times a week when I lived in Denver for 2.5 years Still some of the best food I've had in all 23 states for me so far please someone order something for me and enjoy it haha

Nick O.

Yelp
Traveling through from California, I was happy to land at this place for dinner (and to encounter the lively neighborhood, which I had not been to before). The ambiance and service are basic, but for me that's no issue, the food is what matters and the food was flavorful and generally comparable to good food I've eaten in Thailand or at good Thai restaurants in California or New York. While quantity is not the most important feature for me I also felt they were generous in the servings relative to the price.

Katy F.

Yelp
This place is hands down the best Thai food in Denver. It is a hidden gem. Every time I have gotten takeout from Supvipa, it is amazing. The Crispy Holy Basil, Pad See Ew and the Curry Puffs are all incredible dishes.

Karen S.

Yelp
Just tried this restaurant...sooo good! Our meals were so tasty! We had drunken noodles and pad Thai..and the flavor was really interesting and yummy on these traditional dishes!

John W.

Yelp
One of the best green curries i have ever had. Got it take out and also pad Thai. Pad Thai was kind of hard and clumped together. I wonder if they make a bunch of them and then reheat them for to go. Green curry was out of this world, pad Thai flavor was perfect

Mark L.

Yelp
Deliciously seasoned and so fresh! I imagine the kitchen is overflowing with bowls of freshly chopped vegetables and herbs, waiting to be expertly assembled in scrumptious combinations. We were delighted by chicken spring rolls, stir fried vegetables with peanut sauce, and - the piece de resistance - a fried pomfret with mango, but couldn't help noticing the delectable wonders people at adjacent tables were enjoing. Can't wait to return!

Jean-Marc S.

Yelp
Thai grandmothers cooking authentic cuisine in a random hole-in-the-wall reminiscent of my late grandma's small island kitchen. What's not to love?

Taylor L.

Yelp
First time visit. Placed a phone order for my lunch break. Food was good A+ so that's why I put stars . But the service from lady working inside was trash.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Never had pad thai taste as good, or as unique. Super small spot, with great service. Can't wait to go back.
