Sweat Records is a dope vinyl record shop with a deep-rooted connection to the local Miami music scene. Located in Little Haiti next to the old Churchill’s Pub, it’s a hidden gem among locals and record store enthusiasts alike. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, and the store features a wide range of new & used vinyl albums of all genres. Be sure to check out their New Releases, local artists, and extensive used vinyls selections. Always a great place to score a great record at a great price!

There’s already plenty of reviews here, and it’s doubtful I can add anything substantive. So I’ll echo the sentiments of those who absolutely love this place and all of its amazing staff (and owner, Lolo). I’ve been coming here since it opened, and I’ll continue coming here for as long as possible. Great selection. Good prices. Incredible service. I’m originally from a place which harbored tons of amazing independent record shops. There is nowhere near the amount of shops in Miami as we had “back home.” That said, what are here are something very special, and I’ll take quality over quantity each and every time. With this shop…it’s quality on every front, with the nicest, kindest people you’ll likely ever meet. If you’re in the area, make it a point to stop in. You’ll be better for having done so.

Bought some records there a few weeks ago while on vacation. Cool store, great prices and selection. My purchases were mailed to me for a very reasonable price. The used records I bought are in great shape. Looking forward to visiting Miami again.

Google
went first time for Joe Jonas Meet and Greet and the staff was nice and polite with us! The story is cute tho.

Google
Very friendly and helpful staff. During my visit, they didn't have a large collection of 2nd hand Soul, Funk or Jazz vinyls, but what they had was well worth the visit. Got good tips about other record stores to visit in the neighborhood. Great tips, by the way.

Google
Nice shop with a whole lot of potential. I wanted to see if some of the staff complaints were true. The staff was excellent during my visit. I literally asked for K-Pop, and Steve worked diligently to find something for me. My only complaint is the parking situation and the prices on average are high but not crazy! About $5-$8 more.

Google
Loved my visit to sweat records! It was very clean and organized. Staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable. We got some great gems to add to the collection. Prices were also very fair. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Miami.

Google
Awesome record store in Miami. The staff is super friendly and they have a great selection of vinyls used and new! Bonus: you may get the honor of petting Loons the store mascot ;)

Yelp
Wonderful & diverse selection of vinyls, friendly service and alllll-around chill vibe. For a small fee, they'll mail your records to your home, if you're traveling from out of town. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place has got a cool factor like nothing else. Vinyl is back baby & it's better than ever. I stopped by during my Yelp IG Takeover to showcase some shopping for holiday tunes as I ran around in heels looking at all the cool records on display. Not only do they support local artists, they are single-handedly part of the revival of what shortly ago was a dying breed. Places like this inspire you to trade your aux cord for a record player to have more organic approach to music. Our generation has abandoned quality experiences like shopping for records as the convenience of streaming music have become the most convenient method to hear music. However, plenty of rare records offering unreleased tracks with a ultimately more robust listening experience is simply unavailable nowadays so the folks here have brought us these gems to remind people that not only did Disco never die...quality and gusto are still alive as well.

Yelp
Cool indie independent record shop in Little Haiti. This store was in my list to checkout but what drew my eye while driving by was the crazy cool mural on the building that had art depictions of Prince, Grace Jones, MF Doom, Daft Punk and Iggy Pop !!! Had to do a quick U-Turn and check it out.... Wide range of music available both new and used. Tons of used records available for $1 so be prepared to dig ! Very friendly and helpful staff for not only the store but for recommending other local business in the area.

Yelp
I grew up in Miami, and left as soon as I could; I felt like I couldn't find what I really wanted here. The city didn't have soul. Well I moved back years ago; Sweat Records was one of the things that made me rethink this place. It was that feeling when they hosted a dance party for a new Daft Punk album; it was how I felt sitting down in the shop just to listen to Fela Kuti for an hour with ten other people totally focused on the beat. You know that 90s movie set in a record store? OK, forget the snobbery; Sweat Records makes you feel good about what you like, whatever it is. And forget the misogyny; Sweat is woman-owned and asshole-free. This place is a beacon of flashing lights. When Morrissey mouthed off some racist BS, they wiped his mug off their mural and put up Grace Jones. When someone found a lost Debbie Deb jam in some dusty archive somewhere, they took the tapes directly here: trust. It feels like a kind miracle - how could a record store have started in 2006? Whoever would have thought it'd still be here?? For all the sun, Miami can feel like a cold place; if you're wondering what's good, come to Sweat. Take your nibblings; take your date. Check out their record label: they put out terrific local acts like Dracula and Las Nubes and Richie Hell. Even if you don't have any vinyl, you can browse the zines, get some fun t-shirts and merch, learn about what's happening in town. You may see someone famous. You may rediscover forgotten childhood joys. You may learn some new things about the world; you may find something worth fighting for. You may fall in love. You may become part of a beloved community. Me, I did all that here. I don't even have a record player; whatever. Sweat Records Forever.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite record shop in Miami. The staff is kind, courteous, and thoughtful.

Yelp
WOW! I love Sweat Records. It's a small neighborhood record store that packs at punch in the Little Haiti area. I love the ambiance and energy of this store. The staff are very friendly and extremely acknowledgeable about music. They have a pretty good selection of different types of music genres. I found some cool old and new records. Parking is street parking which is limited but it's worth coming to this record store.
google avatar

Yelp
The girls at this shop are so sweet! We came to Miami for a festival and decided to shop around for some new music after getting a bunch of inspiration from the festival. The selection of records here is great and they seem to always have new stuff coming in! The girl checking us out at the register mentioned she was at the festival as well and her favorite set was also our favorite set, she helped us find a record by that same artist, knew exactly where it was and a bunch of fun facts about the record! We're definitely coming back next time we're in Miami :)

Yelp
If you've never been to this spot you don't know what you're missing. A little bit of culture a little bit of local and a whole lot of Miami is found at this location. Lolo has been a staple in the miami music scene for a very long time, and she opened up this spot wayyyyyu back before anyone who now hangs out at churchills even knew what that was. Lolo has held radio shows at Wvum, Dj gigs, roller skate nights, booked for venues, probably a bunch of other things that I can't remember but she's put in the work! This place has something for everyone, zines, local stuff and things, cassettes, records, and probably a bunch of other stuff that i don't know because I actually haven't been to the shop in quite some time. If you're in the hood, stop by, support a local business, get someone something cool for Christmas. It's that time, don't be a doosh.

Yelp
Well worth stopping in for all music lovers that prefer vinyl. Great shop, friendly staff, good vibes.

Yelp
A year ago when every business had to shutdown due to the pandemic, I purchased a record and a shirt online for a scheduled pick up. Time went by and sweat records called me a few times to remind me they had my items... but I never picked them up. To my surprise, I received my items in the mail with a very nice hand written note. This place is a treasure!

Yelp
Such a great record store in Little Haiti. Organized is such a way to make browsing enjoyable! The sales associate was super helpful and friendly.
google avatar

Krishanu S.

Yelp
Great store and really friendly staff. Asked for a rec for unique Miami music and got a record the store put out with 90s electronica. Wide selection and a lot of world music.

Olive S.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to Sweat Records since I discovered the shop doing some job research several years ago. I finally made it to Miami and took advantage of a few hours off work to do a little record shopping. I was surprised when I got in the car and realized I had been in the store for an hour and a half. As used inventory goes, theirs is incredibly organized and clean. The new records are also thoughtfully organized. I purchased six records, one by an artist that I heard for the first time in the shop. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the store is easy to find with handy parking. If you're like me and try to make it to independent record stores while you're traveling, know that Sweat Records is an easy detour if you're doing South Beach or Wynwood touristy things and I was sad I didn't have more time to do a bit of Little Haiti exploration. First five-star review. I seriously wouldn't change a thing.

Yelp
I have finally sat down and written my long awaited review on this hidden gem of a place! I managed to visit during Art Basel. Located right next door to Churchill's on NE 2nd Ave, I was kind of hesitant entering with my boxer bulldog, but was welcomed by the gentleman behind the counter and was actually told that dogs were welcomed more than humans! OMG! Nothing in the world can beat a record shop that serves delicious organic coffee, sells vintage records, sometimes hosts awesome shows, and they welcome dogs?? Are you kidding me? What a CHILL VIBE!! I browsed through some of the records, and noticed that they were priced to how well they were preserved or kept. I was impressed with how they were indexed, sorted and stored, and I was more impressed with their overall selection. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
I bought from Sweat Records online and it was one of the nicest experiences I've had shopping for records online in recent years. They definitely put a lot of care into their work, and I noticed it as soon as I opened my package, which came with nice stickers and a handwritten thank you note. Really amazing experience. Great prices and quick delivery too! 100% recommended

Yelp
This is MY FAVORITE RECORD STORE IN MIAMI. I will never buy vinyl anywhere else. Sweat has -- by far -- the widest selection of music I've seen, with an amazing variety of both new and used albums. The staff is also so nice and helpful, I had the absolute best shopping experience there today. I'll definitely be bringing all my friends and family to shop.
google avatar

Corey L.

Yelp
Happy we took the drive from the West Palm Beach area to shop here! Great finds and got a bonus bag with our purchase! The staff was friendly and helpful! I appreciated the distancing and sanitization efforts too, thanks! We'll definitely be back once the piggy bank fills back up!
google avatar

Yelp
I've only ever mail ordered records from these fine folks at Sweat Records. They ship lightning fast and pack records really well. Solid experience from an awesome record store.
google avatar

Patrick L.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it. Very cool space. Was super up to date on new releases as well as reissues and older stuff. They had great music playing while I looked around. Lots of cool memorabilia in the shop, like the Blur milk carton and the Daniel Johnston poster. Staff was super friendly. If I wasn't with other people I could have spent hours here!
google avatar

Mariangel B.

Yelp
the people in this record shop are all so sweet and amazing. they have so much variety in genres and artists. the place is also super cute and i'm the overall energy feels welcoming and so warm. i met the staff today but it truly felt like we were best friends. been ordering my vinyls online but i'll try to get them more often from my local record shop now, told them i would be their number one customer and didn't lie. definitely coming back, if it was for me, i would go there everyday. I LOVE IT HERE. my vinyl was in great condition and it was ready for me to pick up not even 24 hours after ordering it online.
google avatar

Briana C.

Yelp
So glad I had the time to stop here for a few records before leaving Miami since I got a record player for Christmas. I was able to find a few used records in excellent condition! Picked up Janet Jackson - Control, Bob Marley & The wailers - Legend and Kelis - Caught out there (single). They were well taken care of and all played very well. The store isn't very large but they have a very nice selection of records. You can tell what they sell is handpicked and they don't just pick up any records they can find to sell.

Yelp
I previously went to Sweat Records about two years ago and recently again a few weeks ago. Danny was the only pleasant staff member that day, the rest of staff didn't seem approachable or welcoming. I purchased a record and some pins. Unfortunately, when I got home the $27 brand new record was warped. I immediately called and told them what happened and they were nice and said to swing by to pick up another copy they had in stock. I went by, to pick up the replacement and decided to open it up at the store to ensure it wasn't warped or bent. Sadly, the record was a bit bent. Not warped but still not in the shape I would expect a brand new record to be in. I kindly asked if it was possible to get a refund for the record or worst case scenario store credit. The staff member said they had to text the manager and seemed to be put off by my request. Danny was there again, and lightened the mood but it was still an uncomfortable exchange with the staff member. They acted as if I was being picky or at fault. I stated "this is not my fault" and they said "it's not ours either" and had attitude/seemed annoyed. Which came off rude considering the situation. I ended up getting my refund, and my partner still spent $30 on pins to compensate the store for their loss but honestly that wasn't all necessary considering my experience. I am very disappointed by this. Other than one kind staff member, it's sad to run a local record store with unwelcoming and unapproachable staff. Mistakes happen and I was very open to the exchange or refund and keen to return again. But, definitely not after my experience. I hope they value customers and their experiences a bit more.

Jesse S.

Yelp
Great selection, friendly staff. One of my favorite things about this store is that used records included details from the shop about what type of music is on each album. For example, sub genres are included for Jazz releases. I've been to a lot of record stores in the US, and this is something that Sweat Records does that I do not see other stores do. It really makes a difference for me as someone who considers himself to be a bit of a crate digger.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
I met the owner of Sweat Records when she came in my own record shop in NE FL many years ago, and was incredibly friendly, complimentary, and supportive. I had heard of Sweat for years prior and couldn't wait to check it out for myself. Now, each time I find myself in Miami, I make it a point to go out of my way to hit Sweat during my trip. Even though I own my own shop and get mountains of records in every single day, I still find plenty of amazing stuff at Sweat! Everyone on staff is so friendly, super knowledgeable, the prices and selection are great, the vibe is always on point, they serve great coffee (or at least they did at the time of my last visit), and parking and accessibility are easy.
google avatar

Ralph K.

Yelp
A good large record shop. They played Janet and I loved it. Nice Venezuelan dude worked up front
google avatar

Denise F.

Yelp
This my favorite record store in Miami. Sweat has an extensive selection of vinyl that should appeal to any sensibility. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help you find what you're looking for, offer insightful suggestions, or alert you when an item you requested is in stock. Additionally, Sweat has always supported the local scene by providing a stage for live music and performances, a marketplace for musicians and artists, as well as, traditionally employing musicians and DJ's on staff. They have pivoted quickly during the pandemic by uploading all their offerings (new and used) online, not to mention, by creating a safe stress-free environment whereby to shop in person or to pickup orders curbside. Yay Sweat!
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
Pound for Pound one of Miami's greatest cultural centers! This place is so much more than a music store! Music Movie Mondays, a comedy stand up open mic aka Casa de Haha, a book club, a live music venue, and oh yeah they sell music, videos, magazines, and coffee. Not to mention you can usually pick up tickets to cool concerts in the South Florida area here. The owners are usually there and are friendly and uber enthusiastic and supportive of the arts in Miami.
google avatar

Ariana A.

Yelp
I really love the atmosphere of this store. The staff are very friendly and wearing masks at all times. We were even advised to put hand sanitizer on once we entered the store (which is something I loved). The selection of music they offer is amazing. My brother and I had a great time. They offer rewards. My brother and I got vinyls and I got a tote as a gift for our purchase. We will be going again! It was a pleasure!
google avatar

Carla L.

Yelp
I never thought that I could find something similar to Ear-X-Tacy (in Louisville) here in Miami! Oh joy. We did. Well, we didn't 'find' it, Carlos S. took us here. We were looking for vinyls for my daughter who is obsessed with indie and older music and is a member of the Vinyl club in her H.S. Unfortunately they didn't have Lush which is what she was looking for but it didn't matter, we were in heaven. They truly have a cornucopia of items for the music lover including magazines, band t-shirts and cute gifts. The best part is that my daughter struck up a conversation with the sales girl who happened to have the same color as Miki Berenyi (lead singer for Lush) and lo and behold she too is a Lush fan. My daughter was thrilled. Great place!
google avatar

Marcos M.

Yelp
I love this store, really good customer services and a great collection with excellent prices!!!
google avatar

Carmen Gabriela V.

Yelp
i love sweat! this little gem of a record store has very unique selections at affordable prices. you can find everything from jazz to punk rock. sweet store to crate-dig for something uber awesome. they have fab prices during record store day and black friday. the owner is hosting classic album sundays every month, so make sure to join for this months (may) selection of ok computer by radiohead. at the listening party you get to partake in comp pizza and beer while listening to the classic albums in high-quality equipment.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
The only place where I pop up and get records! Solid prices and the staff is more then accommodating. The staff members that are more then welcoming and sweet and helpful are the wonderful RANDY and GABRIEL. I really enjoy the artwork and the customer service. The music they play is constantly chill or funky. They sometime have pop shows so make sure you give them your email. They also make orders for special records you want. I can't see myself going anywhere for records. They have pins for jackets and always have coffee or espressos ready to go. I find myself always being constantly helped with either good recommendations and good advice when I comes to music and artists. A must go.
google avatar

Thom W.

Yelp
I don't know what I would do without my local record store. The sentiment is probably familiar to most musicophiles, anyone who still revels in the idea that new and interesting music awaits your listening pleasure if you just walk thru the door. Sweat is a bastion in a world where radio is stifling, repetitive, boring. This place is a refuge for local musicians, for connoisseurs, for those freaks who need music instead of their lunch money. Sweat records is my local record store. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and they've made it their mission to support local talent including poets and indie labels. If you are an out-of-towner, they'll know what else is going on in the city. They even give you free music through their punch card system! You, dear reader and music lover - you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Sara Y.

Yelp
All-time best record store! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, outstanding caffeine options. So many dope records! Reasonable prices!
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
They didn't have Africa by Toto...damn, I was looking forward to them having this gem
google avatar

Marc K.

Yelp
I just want to give a shout out to the guy that was working there - didn't catch the name, sorry - who I had one of the best conversations about music that I've had in years. A really welcoming presence in what can be a world of pretentious fools. The selection here is very good, and there are hidden gems all over the place. One of the best experiences I've had in a store in ages.

Isabella B.

Yelp
Sweetest folks ever! ale is so sweet, stylish, and knowledgeable in all things vinyl and Daniel was cracking me up, he definitely knows his music. So happy to see passionate people doing what they love. They gave us drinks as we waiting outside. Def my fav record store in So Flo, it's so Miami, i love IT
google avatar

Javier G.

Yelp
Coolest place in Miami, period. Awesome vinyl selection, in a comfortable setting. Grab a tasty coffee and a muffin and browse those records you could never find while scouring all those other ransacked and disorganized record shops. Don't be surprised catching yourself being nostalgic, this joint has all the goods!

Brandon A.

Yelp
This is the best record store in Miami, hands down! Staff are very friendly and always willing to help you find something. Spent many hours and record store days here. And in the era of Covid, it's wonderful to have curbside pickup and option and support when I can!! A staple of Miami's record and music scene!
google avatar

A P.

Yelp
This the best record store in Miami for new and use vinyl. If there's something you want that's not in the store, they'll order it for you and it arrives in a few days. The loyalty program is great - get 1 point for each purchase over 10$ then get one free item up to 20$ after you collect 12 points. The best part about it is that you don't have to carry a card around that needs to be punched or stamped - they keep it on file for you at the register so you never miss out on racking up points! Don't miss Sweatstock - their yearly block party with food truck and live music and a mega sale is awesome! Finally they have great coffee from Panther and other snacks and place to sit, eat, hang out and listen.
google avatar

Syddie W.

Yelp
Overpriced! Limited variety, so tiny you keep bumping elbows with everyone. Screams gentrification

Marc R.

Yelp
I hate to say this, but the pretension in this place is disgusting. I feel like they're patting themselves on the back too, personality-wise, for being "female-owned" or operated or whatever. Gosh, such a turn-off. Who knows, maybe this is just typical record-store-employee behavior. Either way. Maybe I just hate it when people ask if they can "help" me or attempt to size me up or summarize my tastes and then one-up me. I won't go back. I just don't like being around "cool" people who seem to think they're better than most. It could just be the age of the employees - something to prove?
google avatar

DAVID T.

Yelp
There are few retail destinations a time traveling Alligator from Space would bother with besides his usual Zorg repair shop, but when it comes to Earth, this one location is the one that I prefer to make a detour to and grab the best cup of coffee (my personal GOD CUP), pick up a new record for the Quothmobile Compact Disc player, and on a regular occasion - watch some of the best local acts from Earth via Miami Florida. Sweat Records has made it their mission to bring musical, cultural, community richness to an otherwise questionably existent outskirt of this dimension. I whole heartedly support the establishment and look down upon any perpetrator of wrong doing against it or their owners: LoLo & Jsin. They have made Earth a better place by providing an asset to this city of Miami. Much Love and Karma~!

Yelp
After two years of not having a car and being limited in my leaving of South Beach, I finally bought a scooter. Being able to get to Sweat Records is one of the reasons why. Music store (CDs and RECORDS!!!) and local live music venue. Vegan cafe (LOVE their chai made w/ almond milk) and seller of vegan snacks & treats (for example, vegan jerky, Sweet & Sara Marshmallows, and the not edible, but still awesome, Hurraw! Lip Balm!) Supporter of local artists (I bought my wallet there--http://www.friendswithyou.com/). And most important to me, home of the monthly Vegan Waffle Party. Thank you, Lolo, for starting this tradition. Not only is it a great way to network with like-minded people, it's super fun and super yum. I know I'm playing up the Vegan aspects of this, but Sweat Records (and the waffle party) is for EVERYONE. Not just vegans. You should go check it out today!
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
Sweat is more than just a music store! You can find great vinyl, books DVDs that the only other place you're gonna see them in Miami is on amazon.com! Their book club is fun and reads great contemporary books, and will give you a chance to meet some of the most interesting people in Mia's music community. They always have great events, such as stocking stuffer parties during the holidays, Pure Imagination, Casa de Ha Ha and much more. But my favorite thing Sweat and brought into my life is their email blast. It pretty much list anything worth looking into going on in Miami! I heart Sweat Records!
google avatar

Yelp
In short, Sweat Records is a must. Sweat is a hub of fun and information for all those interested in experiencing Miami's (and southern Florida's) live entertainment. They offer vinyl, cds, movies, community, and live entertainment. Sweat's mailing list is essential for knowing what is what. If you are not on Sweat's mailing list, do so immediately--you will be happier (and more informed) when you do. Check out their website at http://sweatrecordsmiami.com for the happenings (and to sign up for the mailing list). Sweat Records promotes local and independent artists. Sweat Records fosters community. Sweat Records offers music, information, comedy, and a tasty cafe to boot. Sweat Records is a must. Oh and p.s., if you are vegetarian ask Lolo (one of the owners and can probably be recognized by her brightly dyed hair) where to go in Miami.
google avatar

Richard H.

Yelp
You gotta love music. Sweat's the only record store of its kind in town. I drink hot tea and listen to Shoegaze with them. Some nights, Stand Up Comedians or Live bands perform, and it can be fun.
google avatar

Lazaro C.

Yelp
As others mentioned, the only privately owned music shop in Miami worth going to. They sell Cd's, LP's, books, magazines, DVD's, coffee, tea, and tasty treats among other things There is wifi available and plenty of seating including comfy couches. The staff is very friendly and are involved in the local music scene i.e. Fridays @ The Vagabond. Sweat records hosts live music on select dates. They also have a weekly movie night (on mondays) and a book club (on wednesdays). Oh yea, I'm also addicted to the better than sex bars they sell there for $2 Dollars. They are like crack! Update 9/15: I regret to inform everyone that sweat records was broken into a few nights ago. They will be open sporadically throughout the week for now. Make sure to call before you go. Now is an even more important time to support this local all-in-one music stop

Yelp
Terrific little record shop/cafe right next door to Churchill's. These folks really care about good music and the local music scene in general. They dj at local clubs, they promote local shows, they have shows in their shop, and they have readings and show music oriented movies at their shop too. They do a lot to foster the music scene here in Miami. So give Sweat Records your business!! You'll be glad you did : ))
