They sell plenty of name-brand foods alongside items made right on the farm, plus lots of cute home decor for purchase. Apple Cider Donuts: Only served on weekends, Apple Cider: Served over ice at the café. Refreshing and sweet, but honestly tasted a lot like grocery store apple juice. Death by Chocolate Cake: $7 and absolutely worth it! A generous slice, super moist despite being pre-sliced from the fridge. The thin layers of buttercream-style chocolate frosting made it rich but not overwhelming. SO YUMMY!!

Pros: Easy to access, quick visit, apples are delicious, the Cafe and building is free to enter Cons: 18$ for a small bag that can barely hold 8 apples, 50$ for a bigger bag- total ripoff. Bathroom cleanliness was subpar. No apple cider or alcohol served. I had a decent time because we went as a big group. Other than that, I probably wont return.

Bought a delicious apple pie and a chocolate brownie. After dinner both the pie and brownie tasted so fresh it made the night complete. This country style store is clean, pretty and welcoming. So glad I experienced it. 👍💁🌹

Fun day with great friends. A beautiful day but too late in the season so pumpkins were scarce & the market is pretty small, not a lot to do.

Dropped in accidentally while driving aimlessly. All the way from Thailand. The wind was HOWLING and raining endlessly. We grabbed 4 hot chili soups, with oyster crackers. Then, we grabbed cookies, rice squares, cider for the kids. Wonderful. We enjoyed this oasis. Will return more accomodating weather. The staff were super nice and friendly.

Charming farm! You step foot in a little piece of heaven! Loved the atmosphere! Very clean and friendly staff. I had some lunch and the sandwich was fresh and delicious, the lemon blueberry cake is to die for!!

Went apple picking with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful time! The people working there were friendly and kind (one woman was even going around offering to take pictures for people). The farm is clean and easy to navigate. We were sad that peach picking was closed, but we were able to buy some peaches inside along with some other delicious goodies. This was our second time at the farm and both experiences were great. We will most certainly be back!

What a fun day picking blueberries at Sweet Berry Farm. This is an adorable farm with lots of berries, some flowers and chickens, with a cafe, and a small market with local produce and natural products. Each box for picking ($25 for large) is on the more expensive side but the blueberry bushes are well maintained and the quality of the blueberries is quite good. It's worth checking out the cafe as well - their sandwiches are slightly more expensive than expected but really refreshing and filling. I also saw signs of small batch ice cream which I want to try on my next visit.

We have frequented this business for many years taking part in free concerts, "you pick" veggies, apples, berries and flowers. We have gone there to grab produce, bakery items etc. I have taken family and friends there. Tonight we'd heard the "free" concerts were back up and happening so we packed up a picnic dinner and off we went only to discover it's $10 to park (!) and you can no longer bring your own food. Past years we would buy drinks or ice cream. We took our picnic dinner and instead enjoyed a truly" free concert and complimentary parking at Easton's Beach. I am sad for these changes.

Not really pleased with the reconfiguration and menu revision. Quiche? Strawberry Rhubarb pie? Inside tables rather than vegetables? Is it usually a mistake to redefine a classic? Doesn't work for me.

Sweet Berry? More like sweet everything! This is such a delightful place to visit. We were vacationing in Newport and were looking for a little fall activity given the cool breezy weather! We came looking to apple pick but were surprised at everything available. We thought we'd find just a little farm and doughnut stand but the variety was impressive. We started with some apple picking and enjoyed the experience immensely. A bit pricey but worthwhile. They had several types of apple but we stocked up on the honey crisps and they were so juicy, crispy, and tasty! We didn't know that they'd have such a stocked cafe so unfortunately we didn't partake in lunch as we had already eaten, but we will definitely plan for lunch here next time. They had a large cafe type menu with several sandwiches, soups, and sides. But! We did shop for pastries. All of them were spot on. We grabbed some apple cider and sat on the lawn to enjoy. The doughnuts were great but we enjoyed the cookies too! Definitely the type of place you come to treat yourself! But it's okay-we ate our apples first.

We came here for lunch one afternoon and there was plenty of outdoor seating in the shade and under the trees as well as indoor seating. There was also a restroom. The place has a shop with produce, though not all of it seems local since they had things that weren't yet in season. But there was a good amount of produce, nuts, candy, and other souvenirs for people. The food shop had a wide array of sandwiches though it didn't always make sense why some were small while others were big. There is a panini press for people to use should they want their sandwich warm. They also had refrigerated hot food that could be warmed up in a microwave at home, like pasta dishes and Asian dishes. I thought the place had an excellent variety of things. However, I thought that the sandwich was a little dry and could have used a bit more flavor but it wasn't bad. The spinach and cheese croissant was warm and crispy and think it was the best thing I ordered.

Don't recognize the place since it reopened. Used to visit two or three times a week to buy prepared meals. Latter were always excellent. Now appears to have sole focus on coffee

Despite advertising online AND in their store, you actually can't pick anything.... don't come if that's what you'd come for. I checked online and checked the signs and they were like "we ran out and picking season is over" Drove all the way here for nothing :(

Great place to come to pick fruit. We have picked strawberries and apples and peaches which were excellent. And the employee's will tell you the difference in taste between the 5 types of apples that grow there. Also the make prepared foods and have an area to eat outside.

We love visiting Sweet Berry Farm. For lunch, they have pre made sandwiches soups salads and baked goods. They also have excellent ice cream and loads of sweet options. They also have lovely produce. They also have amazing fresh berries to pick. They also have great apples in the fall. They also have nice fit trees in the winter. They also have a lovely grounds with water views. They also have great customer service.

Our tradition is that on December 1, we get our Christmas tree. I know, it's annoying to many people, but I am definitely that person that is ready to start Christmas the very SECOND Thanksgiving is over. The sooner the better in my book! For the second year in a row, we have gone to Sweet Berry Farm for our Christmas tree, and what a gorgeous selection we have found! The team who show off the trees are so patient and helpful with trimming and tying up the trees on the cars. Those things can be brutally heavy and awkward, so their strength is so appreciated. Inside, they have a ton of awesome gourmet and specialty kitchen items. I loved perusing their sauces, produce, pies, and treats. They have an impressive selection of cheeses and charcuterie, as well as Christmas decorations and stocking stuffers. I always get a piping hot cup of cider and it really is the bow on the top of my tree experience every December 1. I'm sure they also are great year round, but their Christmas offerings are top shelf. Their grab and go meals smelled amazing as well, and they have a large seating area for those wanting to stay for a bite to eat. Prices are a little higher than average, but I think they are reflective of the high quality of many of their items. Overall very excellent experience here!

Really a great place to grab a nice lunch with friends or pick up a quick meal. Fresh veggies, berries great spices to add to your favorite dishes. Real farm house country look. Fresh baked pies or cookies. I ended up with veggie lasagna for dinner. They do offer soup and sandwiches in there cafe along with a nice atmosphere. Local well known farm. Berry picking when seasonal. Friendly customer service. Definitely a must ry.

This was my first time ever strawberry picking and what a super fun experience. We even got here on what I think is the last day for picking, so that made it even more special! We pulled up and stopped in the main restaurant building to see which way/how to get to picking. From there, we hopped back in the car (make sure to drive- it's a bit of a walk) and drove down to the strawberry fields. It actually smelled like strawberries there! We talked it over with Paige on what size receptacle to purchase (quart, double quart or flat by pound) and once that was decided- out in the fields we went. They took cash or credit- so it was super easy! It didn't take long to fill up our quart container, but the whole process from start to finish was just great. We even got a little bag from the stand to keep them safe in the car. As for the taste of the strawberries---well, let's just say that store bought strawberries will never be the same again. Hand picked strawberries taste like a total flavor explosion. Such sweet, delicious strawberry goodness. I can't wait to go back to Sweet Berry for apple picking in the fall! This place is super cute and fun! We came by for lunch and fruit picking earlier this week and had a great time. The lunch options are made ahead of time in refrigerators and you grab whatever you want, pay, then eat in the cute attached dining room or outside. The food was fresh and delicious. Prices were a little high, but nothing crazy. I got a package of chicken salad, a fresh bun, and a bag of roasted edamame for about $10. Everyone working here was so nice and helpful! The property is huge and they have tons of different crops growing. We bought the smallest basket to pick blueberries which was $12. They were easy to pick and it was a blast! I'm sure the prices vary throughout the season as different crops are available for picking. Their website and Facebook were both super informational about which crops are available on a given date! I'd recommend a trip here for people of all ages.

We were there on Sunday and was only able to pick Honey Crisp. Every other apple that was available was picked through and rotting. There were more apples on the ground that were rotting a mushed than on the trees and the trees looked diseased. Very disappointing. The store though had a great variety of everything. Well stocked and throughout the whole farm everyone was very nice and helpful.

You have to know what time of the year certain fruits are allowed to be picked, so plan accordingly (check/call ahead). Their blueberries are massive! The strawberries are kid's favorite to pick. Apple farm area is perfect for a few fall pictures of the littles. Plenty of foods to try at the shop!

We've lived in Rhode Island our whole lives & finally just visited Sweet Berry Farm this past weekend! They have so many fun foods for the season! -pies galore -fresh apples & apple picking while available -cupcakes, pumpkin whoopie pies, homemade breads -Jams & jellies -Artisan cheeses and fresh meats -hot & iced coffee -pumpkin & apple gelato to take home... & so much more! A fun autumn spot if your in the newport/Middletown area, or even for a day trip to be combined with downtown Newport or Newport Vineyards.

Awful, has gone downhill. $13.00 watermelon was totally rotten inside, soups are oily, jello not firm, sandwiches uninteresting, no more donuts, we'll never return. Used to be great. Avoid.

Beautiful every time of year! Wonderful hot and prepared foods, baked goods, and ice cream. The market is always full of fruits and veggies, pumpkins in the fall, and gorgeous cut flowers.

My wife and I enjoy driving here from providence to get lunch in the cafe and to pick up several prepared meals for the week. Always delicious. Recently got Moroccan Beef Stew and it was fantastic. The groceries are unique and classy, the produce is always fresh, and there usually flowers or pumpkins or some kind of other fresh seasonal decor. It can get a bit crowded, but they have plenty of staff to help.

Love coming here we go every year for the strawberries and apple picking so good and worth the money

How to have a good day with what I call, the Aquidneck Island experience: Step 1: Get a blanket, speaker, and a picnic basket. Step 2: Stop by your local small business, like Sweet Berry, and buy some delicious food!! You can taste the love in all their food. Step 3: Go to a local spot: beach, park, maybe your backyard. Step 4: invite a friend to enjoy good company, good food, and a good view! Thanks sweet berry for being a part of so many great memories I have on this island!!

Stopped here after a walk along the beach. Such a cute little farm. They have so much to chose from. Never mind the little cafe and market they have inside. Couldn't decide what to get. They have anything from hot breakfast sandwiches to lunch foods like fresh made sandwiches and pizza. Lots of yummy desserts and salads as well. The rice pudding and roasted butternut salad were to die for. Later we picked blueberries in the blueberry fields. Second time coming here and we will be back again next season! Where else can you go to the beach AND pick your own blueberries?!

This is an AMAZING place to visit! We didn't pick fresh berries, but the inside barn was packed with fresh and outstanding quality products. Just about anything one could desire! All super fresh. Highly recommend everything, especially their corn chowder!

I had to come back and give Sweet Berry Farm yet another glowing rating for a truly awesome customer service experience I had today while visiting with my mom! It was a beautiful and sunny Saturday afternoon, and we had a bit of time to kill, so we headed over to Sweet Berry to grab some strawberries to snack on! Of course, it's been super humid lately, and we were drawn to the available soft serve ice cream. After getting our cones and sitting down, we realized the ice cream tasted kind of funny, and had a weird, icy consistency. I'm not usually a complainer, and I hate sending things back at restaurants, but the ice cream was basically inedible, so in we went to tell them about the issue. I was expecting that we would be told "tough luck", but it was the complete opposite. The wonderful cashier, Abbie, told us that they were experiencing issues with the soft serve machine, and offered to replace it free of charge with traditional ice cream, which they make fresh in house. We agreed, and it ended up being SUPER delish! However, nothing was as great as the kindness of this amazing young lady for helping us out! A major kudos to Abbie for making our visit to Sweet Berry a positive one - even more so than usual! We look forward to coming back soon now that the season's in full swing, and even if the soft serve machine is never fixed, who cares? I can't recommend the ice cream or Abbie enough!

What else do you do on a fall day, than go apple picking!? I had been to this farm before and the café is adorable, great little snack nook. The sunflowers are beautiful if you have never seen them. We decided to go back from apple picking, and it's not cheap, but that is what you get. The problem was, once we got to the apple trees most of the apples were rotten. It was honestly unbelievable. I took pictures to demonstrate just how bad it was. Maybe we just picked a bad time of year? They should not be charging people for apples that look this bad.

Good food and coffee. Pleasant atmosphere. But the service leaves much to be desired. The cashier was very rude yelling at my guest and I to turn around and read the policy signs. I came from service industry myself, and this is not the way to talk to your customers in any situation! Disappointing experience, especially in times when everyone is aiming to be kinder to each other.

I have a service dog for my disability, and they were very rude about it. They would not let me go anywhere with my dog, even though under the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is the law that service dogs have complete public access where dogs otherwise would not be allowed. Left right away and will not be returning.

The cutest little farm to grab a light lunch or snack. Plus they have pick your own flowers and berries. I came for lunch as I had heard much about it. They had a few sandwich and half sandwiches available along with soups and pastry treats the size of your head. The food was not amazing by any means, but good and super cute barn area to eat in or an outdoor area to enjoy your food. I opted to enjoy my food outside by the hydrangeas. Gorgeous late summer spot to enjoy food in peace.

I've been here twice now in the last couple of months, once to go apple picking and another to go pumpkin picking. Both times were great, the selection and prices were excellent! They also offer all sorts of cheeses and other foods to go along with some food that you can buy to eat right there on site. I didn't get to try the hot food however we did grab some of the different cheeses that they offered to go and they were all fantastic! Hopefully next time I'll get to stay a little longer and have some lunch!

Sweet Berry Farm is a great farm and produce shop. The ice cream is among the best around. We bought fresh corn and a blueberry pie. Liked everything we bought. Highly recommend.

Sweet Berry Farm is not far from our home so it is a fairly regular stop for us. We like the feel of the place, very welcoming. The fresh strawberries and biscuits in the summer are my husband' favorites (in addition to the homemade desserts). Their chicken pot pie, curried chicken salad and beef & bean chili are better than we have bought in the local market. They also carry a good selection of specialty cheeses, meats and condiments. If you are looking for a pleasant way to spend some time and to buy something special for lunch or supper, Sweet Berry is waiting for you!

What a great way to spend an hour or two while in the area. We stopped by the farm to grab a bite to eat and to check this place out. It is a beautiful farm, with fun spots all around to soak up some sun, pick some berries or apples or whatever happens to be in season and also enjoy a bite to eat or fun snack from their snack bar area. When walking into the cafe, or snack bar or whatever they call this area, I was a bit underwhelmed. It looked like the mess hall at a summer camp. But don't let the rugged appearance deter you. They have premade sandwiches, hot soups, baked goods and my favorite thing of all... Grill your own panini. We grabbed a ham and cheese from the case, unwrapped it and placed it on the sandwich press... 5min later... VOILA, a perfectly golden, ooooey gooey grilled ham and cheese. I paired it with a cup of delicious clam chowder and an iced tea. We found a great spot outside, under an umbrella with views of the entire farm. I highly recommend stopping by. Bring the family and explore all that this beautiful spot has to offer! We didn't do any of the picking but would like to head back that way for apple picking. I wonder if you can taste the sea salt in your apples?

We came here on a whim and it was great! We picked our own flowers, and ate some delicious apple cider donuts. The staff was very friendly despite being busy, and the flowers were so pretty. The sunflowers are huge! This was a great stop and I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun fall day activity.

This is such a nice place, really friendly and it feels like home, the food is great especially the desserts!

We were on vacation in Newport and looked up local farms as we have a 2 year old. The farm was beautiful and the staff was kind. We walked around, took pictures and then bought some ice cream and bread. Delicious and my two year old had a lot of space to run and be a kid. We had a great time!

Unfortunately, after the experience I had at Sweet Berry Farms this past weekend, I will absolutely not be back. I am appalled to say the least. I will begin by saying that I worked in the service industry myself for YEARS and would never come into anyone's place of business without the utmost kindness and respect. One staff member in particular (AHEM, KATHY) was beyond rude and condescending to my party after we did not see the signs to "check in" before sitting at a table. Before we had the chance to apologize and check in, she berated us in front of other guests to "Move your things, look in the middle of the table, see the sign? I need someone to read the print on the paper." She then proceeded to speak ill of us to the other parties in order to justify her unwarranted actions. So unnecessary. As local patrons who have frequented, we would have been happy to abide by the policy had we had the chance, but now we will never return back! I hope she had a lovely rest of her Saturday afternoon after ruining ours. :)

Went to Sweetberry just last weekend, and I must say you can really tell just how hard the staff works in these weird, and difficult times. There were plenty of signs to inform us about strawberry picking, and the new protocols to follow inside the store. I noticed someone walked in without a mask, and the manager was quick to remind them. This only makes others feel comfortable and I appreciate going into a store where the staff cares about their customers. Strawberry picking was so fun, and the lunch afterwords was delicious. Plenty of outside seating. Highly recommend!

Aesthetically place is a little gem. I loved the arched tree entrance that made it feel like a little escape. We had an iced coffee and yummy little chocolate croissant before embarking on our raspberry picking. I have to say the cost was rather shocking. I've never paid nearly as much to pick my own berries. That being said the farm is beautiful and the farm store has a great selection of both fresh and prepared foods. If I was a local I think I'd be doing a lot of shopping there. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something different to do on your visit!

My family and I went out for a nice afternoon to pick strawberries ! Little did we know we would be dealt the rudest customer service any of us had ever experienced! This woman was extremely condescending to us because we missed one of the many signs that were around to check in with the hostess before sitting ! She came at us like a bull ! If we did something wrong, it was totally unintentional and there is no need to treat people with such a lack of respect! I suggest you patronize a place that appreciates their customers !! I know I will !!

I felt the need to write this review to combat the absurdly negative reviews left by one large party that had a bad experience. This place has been a family favorite of ours for YEARS. The owner Michelle is a lovely woman who runs her business with integrity. The staff always does what they can to make sure every customer is safe and happy with their experience. The pies and sandwiches are to die for. As someone who shops on a weekly basis here I can say for a fact this staff is exceptional and hard working.

Do not go there this year for pumpkins! Went pumpkin picking with my kids not even a week ago wake up this morning to get ready to paint the pumpkins and 3 out of the 6 we bought are completely rotten! Should have known considering 90% of their pumpkins in the patch were rotten

Such a welcoming and well presented farm with good areas for fruit picking and even a great spot for getting sunflowers. I got a dozen eggs as well and they were good and very natural tasting. We got the chocolate macaroons as well that were made at Sweet Berry Farm and they were a shade short on the sweetness scale, which would never be a problem, but they were priced at $6.99 for four of them which made us kind of demand perfection.

I've been going here for years with my kids. Generally a nice family day, always more expensive than others but I went for the experience and family atmosphere, even gave recommendations to others to visit. After today we will no longer go nor promote. We were having a birthday/ family apple picking day of three generations, laughing, picking, eating apples, after buying 3 bags at a total of $81!! until this old man in a gray pickup began harassing us following us seeing what we were picking and looking in our our bags ( not full, just got there). I assumed he works there or is the owner or just an old grumpy jerk, who knows, but he also went up to another family of three who had a toddler with a stroller and was trying to give them trouble and look in their stroller for apples.... They didn't speak English so they were unsure what his problem was. Needless to say, this man ruined what is supposed to be a nice family day, made people uncomfortable, and not to return. We are local and will be sure to spread the word. Very sad we have to start a new tradition but will not be made to feel that way, my elderly mother even went to the car because she felt so uncomfortable. He also nearly struck a child driving up and down the apple lanes. Whoever you are man, move on. You're ruining a nice place
