Fantastic coffee shop hidden in the neighborhoods of Lakewood. This place is great for catching up with friends or some remote work. I love that they roast their own beans and carry pastries from rebel bread. ☕️ Nitro Cold Brew 🥐 K-pop croissant (Laminated with Korean chili powder and Nori seaweed, topped with a spicy sweet hot honey flavored with ginger, garlic, red pepper and rice vinegar. Garnished with scallions)

Google
Awesome coffee shop! Love the variety of coffee drinks and pastries. We've been here before to try it out. Service great and drinks were delicious. We had espresso. This time we ordered the Matcha, Chia tea and Latte. All three were delicious. This place has a Seattle, European feel to it. The Baristas are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have to warn you this place gets crazy busy! I wish they would open one near the Southwest Denver/Littleton area. It's worth the trip!

Google
Great experience! I went in to ask about their coffee selections, roasting process, grind size and the team couldn’t have been more helpful! I enjoy making lattes at home and I’m always on the lookout for quality beans. Make room for Sweet Bloom on your list. The flavor and depth from their coffee beans is incredible. You can see that care is taken when sourced. While the beans may be more expensive compared to other coffee shops, the reasoning is justified. Consider the sourcing, labor, research, in house roasting and many other small factors that go into running a coffee shop. Bravo! Well done! The photo is a latte I made at home using the Jorge Rojas beans - delicious!

Google
First time in Denver, first time at Sweet Bloom and it was amazing. Joe was super patient with us, offering us samples of different blends and explaining the process they go through to develop the different varieties of bean. The coffee was unlike anything we’ve experienced and the atmosphere was chill and inviting. Definitely check this place out!!

Google
This place was so good! The people were so kind, knowledgeable, and cared so much about the craft. We had an amazing experience, thanks to the homie Joe. We definitely will be visiting this place every time we are in CO. This is not a "specialty" place, Which we love because you can taste the time it took to perfect

Lin E.

Google
This place was amazing. Ordered the cortado and an expresso (hometown). It was sweet of staff to give us a free shot since it was our first time. This place is worth checking out

Google
I’ve tried a lot of cafes and roasters but none compare to sweet bloom. After having sweet bloom, I’m consistently disappointed with everyone else. This is what coffee should taste like and I didn’t know that until I had them. I now get a bag for my morning coffee from them and have a cup with my wife there every week. Great service too! Great baristas! Overall always an excellent experience. Thanks yall!

Google
Coffee was phenomenal, they can grind for each cup for pour over or espresso so you can try whatever coffee they have. Incredibly friendly staff and service is outstanding. My only minor food complaint was that I personally wasn’t a fan of one of the baked goods but I am sure most people would really enjoy them. They have a active roaster in the store so you get to smell the coffee as it’s being roasted. Theres good enough seating if you don’t go when it’s busy to sit and work or enjoy a cup of coffee. Would highly recommend if you are in the area and enjoy coffee to come here.

Jobin G.

Yelp
Phenomenal coffee in a great setting. Friendly folks offered plenty of great advice as I picked a pour over and it was so good that I got it again! I also left my sunglasses and they went above and beyond in locating it and helping to return it to me. Kind folks and great coffee...what more could you want?!

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday morning to get some work done and it was busy and pretty crowded. I waited 10 mins to find a comfortable spot to set up with my laptop. Everything felt a bit overwhelming and the tables weren't being cleared or cleaned. It also seemed like people didn't know where they could bus their own cups and plates. After a while it got pretty chilly where I was sitting (2 tables away from the door). The coffee tasted fine but I could see grounds on my latte and I was wondering whether that was intentional? I think this might be a good spot to grab coffee to-go if you are in the area but I would be prepared if you are wanting to sit down and do some work in a relaxing environment.

Savanna B.

Yelp
Still love this place! I'm very excited to try my chocolate croissant. Also it's great having a coffee shop like this in this neighborhood!!

Laurie F.

Yelp
To celebrate the start of fall, hubbie and I began a tour of coffee and tea houses!!! Stop 1, this weekend was Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters ! I had a vanilla oat milk latte(dairy free but not sugar free) and he had a regular vanilla whole milk latte.. both were quite yum! , had a friendly industrial garage type environment with close quarters cafe style seating. Coffee ordered at the counter and then delivered to our table quickly by the friendly smiling barista. It was busting at 9am but we didn't feel pressured or rushed at all and we're able to relax and talk and sip away our together time

McCaylee D.

Yelp
I love this place! Some of the best coffee I've ever had, and a pound of fresh beans isn't a totally reasonable price. Can't beat it.

Jenny G.

Yelp
I ordered the oat latte, and it was one of the best I have had. Quick and with great service. Their bakery items look delicious also. Definitely visit again when I have in Denver again.

Kelly K.

Yelp
This place is well-known in the neighborhood as a good spot to work remote. Decent coffee of you and into where the beans are roasted and free Wi-Fi. I didn't anticipate how busy it would be though. I came on a weekday and every spot was taken and there were some people waiting for people to leave. From a standpoint I wasn't too impressed either. While it is a popular work spot, I will choose somewhere a little quieter and less chaotic

Alexa N.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop to do work or study! I came here with a friend on a Friday afternoon. The place was poppin! I got a cappuccino which was very delicious and my friend got a cinnamon spice latte and we felt like it was a little too spicy for us. There was plenty of seating inside and there were some tables outside as well. They also had so many tasty looking pastries and breakfast burritos for sale. I recommend this coffee shop for anyone looking to get work done away from home!

Kyleigh R.

Yelp
Best cortado I've ever had. The ambiance is awesome and service is with a smile. Couldn't ask for more and I can not wait till my next trip down to Denver to treat myself again!

Lily W.

Yelp
The location for this coffee shop & roastery is perfect for treating yourself after suffering through the DMV close by. After spending over an hour in a chilly and dull government building, it was so nice to walk over to this cozy shop for an oat milk cappuccino. Service was fast and friendly, and my drink was perfect. Milk is steamed velvety smooth and the espresso had a nice fruitiness to it. They roast their own beans here so it's really special seeing all the attention to quality from bean to cup. I also bought a bag of the hometown blend to brew in my Chemex at home which I can't wait to try.

Cam B.

Yelp
If you're unsure about attending a cupping event at Sweet Bloom because you don't consider yourself a coffee connoisseur, let me offer some perspective. The more you learn about the product you're experiencing, the more you can appreciate its fine details and subtle nuances. It's like hiking with a guide who can keep you on the right path while pointing out the natural vegetation, the different calls of birds, and the history of landmarks. These are all things you might have seen before, but with a story to help you appreciate them even more. In this case, you can take a bag of coffee home with you and experience it every day with a newfound appreciation and education on what goes into that cup of morning coffee. Just a word of caution, cupping involves sharing the same coffee with others and using the same cup to rinse your spoon. Although there is a nearby cup of water to clean your spoon, it's used by everyone else as well. If sharing germs with strangers makes you uncomfortable, then this might not be the activity for you.

Erin L.

Yelp
Quick stop to answer some emails while on the road. Clean, great coffee and free wifi. Minus one star because there are not many places to sit and your gonna pay double the price for a higher quality cup of coffee.

Jess R.

Yelp
Love! Love! Love! Sweet Bloom coffee is always so favorable and delicious. We always grab a bag to go.

Juliana L.

Yelp
I'm no expert, but I think Paul and Prue would be proud. I had the pistachio cardamom bundt cake, and in the words of the great Prue herself, it was, "Absolutely delightful." It doesn't stop there. I got the americano as well, and I believe the phrase is, "I've died and gone to Heaven." Vibe of the whole place is really great. They're roasting coffee on one side of the building while I'm over here enjoying my delicious americano. No overly comfy seating here like plush couches, which might make this americano taste slightly better. MIGHT. But plenty of space to just come chill, do some work/homework, and maybe even play a game of Catan. It's the little things: However their windows are set up, there is a cute little rainbow that shows up on their floor.

Kelli H.

Yelp
If you want to support local by trying some coffee acquired from partnerships around the world, try Sweet Bloom. It was a busy weekend morning, but the baristas had a good system set up to work through the line. Be patient and your order will come out tasting good. Not too many food options but Great Harvest Bakery Cafe is just down the sidewalk. Support a great couple of businesses in one stop.

Wesley R.

Yelp
Amazing coffee and friendly staff! Love this place and the atmosphere they created! The cold brew was really good!

Angela C.

Yelp
I'd say I ordered an iced latte , but this is a "chilled " latte . Apparently they don't do ice . When I'm out for a walk in 80 degree weather, I personally would like ice in my iced latte , not a "chilled" lukewarm drink. Guess I will stick to this location when I'm ordering hot. Barista was pleasant , not much seating. It's worth stoping by if you're in the neighborhood.

Claudia A.

Yelp
A must when visiting Denver. A barista from another coffee shop recommended this place to us and we truly enjoyed their coffee. The place is small but it's definitely a chill, calm environment with amazing staff. They also have merch and coffee for sale. I'll be coming back. Their cortado is chef's kiss.

Makayla K.

Yelp
We popped in here while it was pouring rain and I got the coziest honey latte to match the mood!! My sister lives just down the road from here and it was so convenient for when we were on the way for a day of activities. We were treated with friendly and kind service even though we were a bit soggy.

J C.

Yelp
Too loud! No vanilla! Not cozy. Pricey. Couldn't warm up food? That's a first! Not my coffee shop.

Harmony M.

Yelp
Honestly, a must stop in Denver! They have an amazing roastery and tasting room so feel free to attend any events in the future. The staff was super nice and willing to chat with us about different roasts and brewing methods. I found it really exciting to just relax and have people enjoy our company. Their lounge and seating area is pretty open and you can see the roasting process happening in real time!

Casey P.

Yelp
One of Denver's best coffee shops! It's in a surprising neighborhood of Lakewood, right next to some homes near Colfax, wasn't expecting it to be here. Great impression right from the get-go, with friendly staff etc. Cortado was 10/10 and even came with a side of sparkling water, which is a touch I really appreciate. They also have some slow/hand-pours and give you a wide selection of beans. I haven't tried these yet, but might come back for it at some point. Worth going out of your way to try.

Anthony P.

Yelp
Amazing place to chill and have great coffee. The coffee selections were so amazing. Pleasant service staff were very welcoming. Excellent vibe and love the scent of the coffee.

Anh P.

Yelp
We decided to give this place a try since it was close to our brunch place and is a roaster. I'm someone who likes to go for a rich coffee taste and this place definitely delivered. Much better than all the flavor water I have in Houston. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who travels to Denver. One thing that would make this place even better is the flavor selection, but definitely cannot beat the quality.

andrew h.

Yelp
Tried Sweet Bloom for the first time with a cappuccino and an almond croissant. Both were tasty -- the croissant was flaky and buttery, the cappuccino was good but small and leaned a bit more towards a cortado. The atmosphere had a strong industrial hipster vibe and was fully packed so we grabbed our treats to go

Joee S.

Yelp
Please at surprise. Great service and coffee!! Loved the pumpkin bread as well. Location different but once inside it's great.

Thomas R.

Yelp
It's a trendy place with trendy people who like to pay a lot for their coffee drinks. I am one of them but that will end soon. My wife ordered a chai latte and they charged her an extra $.75 for oat milk! Really. A regular cup of mud is four and a half bucks. The pastries are steep as well. But what really gets my goat is SB charges you the price of a full cup for a refill! They offer only one option for sweeteners, sugar syrup. No stevia or other options. You would think they'd consider their customers' needs. When I can go to Bardo and pay a dollar less a cup, and get a refill for a buck, it doesn't make sense to keep going there. I like the people who work there but the cost of trendy is too steep for me.

Steve A.

Yelp
While in town, I was in search for the best cup of coffee in Denver. I found it at Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters. No matter if you want a simple pour over, or a delicately crafted cup - this place is a must. Thank me later!

Shelby C.

Yelp
I was in the area and wanted something better than Starbucks. Best flat white I've had. Such a cute vibe here.

LilSambo Z.

Yelp
This isn't the place to stop for coffee on your way to work. Didn't want a Starbucks or other chain; thought I'd try a local. I'm not fully awake, and I need coffee. Went in, asked for a large coffee, extra cream. They don't do that. The person pointed to a big list of beans and said some words, that I couldn't hear because they roast their beans right there. You can see the machines!!, and the workers with headphones pulling roasted beans. It's got an "industrial" look to the shop. The place was fuckin loud. I just nodded, and as I paid, I noticed the stacks of their paper cups were ALL one size: small. I paid, then walked away and waited. I looked over at the coffee counter, and the guys were doing a pour-over thing! Oh my god. I knew I was never coming back the moment I walked in, but now I was like, WTF?! I should have just gone to McDonald's or a Starbucks. I just need my coffee and to get to my job. I think you can bring in your own cup because I saw a few people with their travel cups. You'll see the kind of people you'd expect to patronize this place. I'm sure they're all nice, on their laptops, pretending the giant roasting machines, just behind them, aren't making all that loud noise. $8 for a small size coffee that was really just regular.

Neva E.

Yelp
I'm giving this four stars for the general public. My real rating is probably three. This is a lovely off the beaten track coffee roaster. It's probably a great place to buy coffee beans for home use. It caters to the young and beautiful. Not The old and picky like me. My typical morning coffee is Whole Foods six shot allegro Americano. Unfortunately due to staffing problems I had to search elsewhere today. A friend had mentioned this place and their attention to detail. They weren't wrong about that, everything is measured and weighed in beautiful cups, a wonderful setting of pretty people. It's like a fancy wine bar for coffee. It certainly is meant for those young 20- 30 somethings that were raised on WEAK sugary Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Anytime I ask how many shots an Americano has and I hear 2, I'm skeptical. The thing is what people called two shots is really only one shot. How do I know this? I opened the first drive-through espresso in the Denver area in 1993. However I only have a newsmagazine show VHS to prove that fact. I digress. I asked if the shots were strong. I was told very strong. Not to exceed 4 so I went for 3. Alas. So this place is cute it smells wonderful and it's very Kitschy! It's a place you come and savor coffee with friends for hours. However plan on buying a 2nd cup because the largest size they have is 12 ounce. Yikes! So I gave it an extra star for you dear readers who are not nearly as stuck up as me. Who are looking for something lovely and not a good cup of wake me up in the morning slap me in the face coffee. This is a place to hang out with friends and be seen.

Mary P.

Yelp
Great coffee!! Don't miss this cup of joe when you're in town! They roast their own and also do trainings so they not only make great coffee but they teach others how to do it as well. The day I was there, they had free bean bags outside so that's awesome as well.

Meagan B.

Yelp
AMAZINGGG. First time visit today. I got the cinnamon honey scone and the nitro cold brew...both to die for. The flavor was best I have had in a nitro cold brew. Stoked this is close by and it will now be my regular spot. I sat outside, but the vibes inside were on point for to do work or to catch up with a friend.

Diane W.

Yelp
Great environment, the menu is very straight forward and they do the 5 or so drinks very well. I really enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching the staff work, they were so kind and seemed to be having fun with it

Beau A.

Yelp
Absolutely terrific pour over coffees. We went three times. Great service and good food.

Jeremy M.

Yelp
A cool low key non chained coffee shop. The coffee is petty good. It kinda reminded me of a coffee shop I visited a few times while I was in Paris last year. There's not a whole lot of choices... so if you're not into espresso shots, drip coffee, or cappuccinos this place isn't for you. But for the purists such as myself that appreciate a good roasted black coffee, this is a good place. One thing to note, not a lot of room in this place. Also while having WiFi, I saw 0 power outlets.

Mylon P.

Yelp
Sweet Bloom has absolutely amazing coffee and a wide selection of beans. They also have some of the coolest coffee bags I've ever seen. While this location is a little small if you love coffee you need to get to Sweet Bloom. Order: 2 Pour Overs About: $9 Review: We finally found somebody doing pout overs in Denver!!! I know this is a weird complaint but I'm finding less coffee shops that do pour overs, and often their response is "because COVID". I don't know if that really makes sense to me at all but I do know that I miss my pour overs. Both of our cups of coffee were fantastic and this would almost certainly be my favorite coffee shop if I lived nearby. There's not a ton to talk about because we really did just get 2 cups of coffee, but they were some of the best cups of coffee I had in my for days in Denver. The only negative really is that this particular location had very minimal seating, I think maybe 12 to 15 people could get in the café at one time so if they were ever busy there's basically nowhere to sit. I think their other location may be larger so if you wanted to spend time in the café that might be a better choice but all around Sweet Bloom coffee knocks it out of the park.

Jason G.

Yelp
One of the very best of the best coffee roasters in all of Denver. They are on a short list for me as the best coffee you'll find in this growing coffee community. Sweet Bloom has been above and beyond the rest for years and they have been a stellar example of Denver's legit coffee scene. The shop is small and tucked away, but well worth the trip for coffee this good. They offer some really delish and unique coffees. They are changing the game for the better and elevating the bar. The coffee shop has grown and they offer ample seating and a decent space for working. It's an okay spot for a meeting as long as privacy or quiet isn't required. Getting a cup of coffee this good is a real treat! Ownership has a commitment to their farmers who produce really high quality coffee. This turns into a really great customer experience. Sweet Bloom is on par with the best coffee around and we are lucky to have them here in the Denver area!

Heather T.

Yelp
The hubs and I came in a few weeks ago after reading about them in a local newspaper. The space is really great and exudes a laid back charm where you can enjoy a cup of coffee over a book or newspaper. We both went for an oat milk latte and I added coffee honey to my order. The drinks came out fast and service was friendly. The coffee however was weak flavor profile wise in relation to the oat milk. I also didn't taste any sweetness that suggested I had the honey in my drink. We would come back for the space and service and maybe a different coffee drink.

Nicole R.

Yelp
Best coffee in Denver! We come monthly, if not weekly. Two things id love to see: 1. Better bags. They rip open all the time. Most places have the bag with the little zipper on it, which would be nice for ease of opening & maintaining freshness (though we can never keep it around long anyway). 2. Signage of what beans are available in a spot other than at the tiny one at the cash register. I always make a rushed decision because I feel like I'm holding up the line or the barista. Westminster location is nice with the beans being displayed in several places. Coffee, baristas and vibe is absolutely wonderful though! I recommend to anyone looking for great coffee and often buy as a gift!

Rachel S.

Yelp
The coffee was delicious and the customer service was great. I got a pour over and it was lovely coffee. The vegan blueberry muffin was fine, it was gluten free and definitely had a gf sandy texture.

Amanda S.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for an oat milk chai latte! Unlike other chai lattes that are seeping with sugars and syrups, this one is is a beautiful blend of spices and tea. Also, the craft of the baristas is so wonderful! They truly put love into each cup they create.

Jess L.

Yelp
Best beans in Denver, and this location is my favorite. The staff here aren't your usual white-skinny-too-cool-for-custyomer-service-or-friendliness baristas that plague most coffee roaster cafes. They are kind, the beans are perfection, and their cinnamon scone is the best scone in Denver.

Jenny R.

Yelp
Cute little shop with a great vibe. I wish they were open, but due to covid have lots of restrictions. I do have to warn you that they do not do coffee flavor, however they have a honey option. The coffee and cherry pistachio chocolate chip muffin was delicious. Service was also fast and friendly. I love supporting the local coffee shops.

Sasha T.

Yelp
Sweet Bloom is great if you like bright coffee. I'm more of a dark roast aka sludge gal myself, but the cortado I had here was indeed great. They have a good COVID policy too, which made me feel comfortable. Lots of reviews say the best coffee roaster in Denver. I'm not too sure about that one, but you will 100% leave satisfied with a delicious, flavorful cup o' Joe.

Lindsay H.

Yelp
This roaster-coffee shop was named in Food & Wine magazine's top coffee shops in each state, so of course I had to visit. I probably would have never known about it otherwise, because it's definitely off the beaten path and very easy to miss. I love walking into a coffee shop with fresh coffee beans being roasted in the big in-house roaster behind the counter. So when I went early one morning, I was welcomed into the spacious roastery-shop with the smell of roasting coffee. Much of the space is dedicated to the commercial-sized roasting machinery and packaging operations, so it's not a place I'd come back to work or relax with my coffee. And to be honest, neither the experience nor the coffee are anything I'd go out of my way for - remember, this place is out of the way. They have a pretty minimalist menu, which I see a lot with indie coffee shops. It comes off a bit pretentious, and this place in particular doesn't even have syrups or flavorings for its coffee beverages. I ordered a latte and was offered raw sugar as the only way to add flavor. Again, the coffee was OK.

Cherie C.

Yelp
At the suggestion of the Fika passport, we trekked out here to Lakewood for coffee. I'd had Sweet Bloom coffee at other shops like Black Black, but I looked forward to trying it at the source. The shop is their roasting facility. Like many small Denver breweries, the cafe is small area just off the production area. Two smiling, friendly baristas greeted us and asked about our experience with the Fika book, asking what we've tried and what we liked. They prepared us two pour-overs: one Ethiopian and one Colombian (cuatra fincas). Both were good cups of coffee--no milk or sugar necessary. They carry financiers from a favorite Baker, so we enjoyed one with our coffee. Recommended.

Christopher B.

Yelp
In my mind, they have some of the best coffee, if not the best coffee, in all of the Denver area. I really appreciate good coffee and maybe I'm not an expert but I think I have a pretty good sense of what is good. With that said, if you are not a connoisseur or if you're just looking for a caffeine fix regardless of taste then maybe this isn't your type of place because you'll be paying a premium. I thought the baristas were super knowledgeable about the coffee selection they had. I heard all about this place so I just wanted a cup of coffee, black. IMHO, if the coffee is great you should not add anything to it. In addition, they followed up with me to see what I thought of it, which was cool. It just shows the difference between having a passion of what you do compared to just going through the motions. The space is laid out so you could see the employees working and roasting the coffee. The area of seats is pretty small but it makes due. I enjoyed exploring this institution and hope to find an excuse to make it back to this side of town again sometime.

Nancy R.

Yelp
Wow, I am not a coffee connoisseur but these guys definitely are experts in what they do. I've never seen that much dedication in making a cup of coffee, impressive! This little coffee shop is a hidden gem, you would need to be familiar with the area to find this place or yelp ¨good coffee shop¨ like I did, but either way its worth coming even if its out of your way. My decent priced latte was very good and well balanced. Idea: they should host coffee classes for beginners, wouldn't that be fun?

Clyde S.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! This is in a pretty urban area, but is a serious joint with serious coffee. I whimped out and got a latte. It was wonderful, but I should have tried one of the five (5!) varieties of coffee they would have made. In spite of the industrial neighborhood and multiple roasters in the place, the atmosphere is homey, the barristas are friendly, and it's a great spot to chill and enjoy great coffee. The only drawbacks are the relatively out of the way location, and the fact that they close at 1.
