Luke’s Local Is Taking Over a Huge Ninth Avenue Location in San Francisco - Eater SF

"A spacious dessert haven offering a variety of sweet treats." - Paolo Bicchieri

Sweet Glory - Review - Sunset - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Sweet Glory in the Sunset is a master of all things mille crêpe cakes. Every slice has 20 cream-coated layers of spongey crêpes, in flavors like pandan, durian, Biscoff, and Oreos. Each slice will run you between $10 and $12 (whole cakes can be preordered online). And we'd also suggest giving into anything else that's batting its lashes at you behind the display case, especially the sweet corn basque cheesecake or crème brûlée toast. Unlike the original Tenderloin location, this Avenues shop has a lot of seating, with both front and back dining rooms plus a sunny patio. You can always take your slices to Golden Gate Park. Though, admittedly, we’ve never completed the five-minute trek without taking a plastic fork to our dessert." - Patrick Wong

San Francisco’s New Restaurant Openings

"Tenderloin dessert shop Sweet Glory has opened another location in the Inner Sunset. You’ll find mille crepe and chiffon cakes with Asian flavors like pandan coconut, taro, thai tea, matcha, and durian. And you can always take your slices (or whole cake) on the go, or if you simply can't wait, find a seat inside or on the small back patio." - ricky rodriguez

I am an old customer. I have intended to come to the new shop many times but just got the chance. The atmosphere of the shop looks very good. The shop is white, airy, open, and cool. There is a cool breeze. There are four tables in the front area, enough for customers to rotate. The cake display counter is beautiful. The area in the back is spacious and there is also an outdoor area. We ordered a piece of cake each and a glass of drink each. We sat and talked for a while. I am very happy that the shop has grown so well. I will find time to eat often.

Gorgeous oasis with outdoor seating. Modern earthy indoor decor with light French cafe music. Not the best tiramisu crepe cake I've had but definitely good. The cream was delicious but the crepes tasted a bit stale. I will try the sesame cheesecake when I come back. I also tried the salted egg yolk latte which was delicious. Next time I would ask for it to be less sweet. So many interesting flavors of cake. Can't wait to come back! There is also a bathroom and they allow laptops during the week except Fridays.

Google
one of my favorite spots in the city for good drinks, service, food, and atmosphere! i love their honey citron iced tea, it comes with candied oranges. the staff are always friendly and attentive, and the cakes are sooo cute. be warned they are a little pricey for a slice but worth it if you want the experience! the hot tea we ordered came in a cute glass pot and mug. there’s a large back room with more seating and outdoor patio. we will definitely be back to try more of the menu options!

Google
Sweet Glory SF is next-level dessert heaven! I stopped in recently and was blown away by the quality and creativity of everything I tried. The cappuccino was expertly made—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. You can tell they care about the craft. I couldn’t resist the Madagascar Bourbon Brûlée Basque Cheesecake, and it completely lived up to the name. Creamy, caramelized, and infused with a deep bourbon vanilla flavor that was warm and luxurious in every bite. The brûlée topping added a gorgeous crunch that made it feel extra indulgent. And then came the Pineapple Guava Paradise—light, refreshing, and full of bright tropical flavor. The pineapple and guava paired beautifully, striking the perfect balance between tart and sweet. With a cozy vibe and kind, friendly staff, Sweet Glory SF is the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to. A must-visit for dessert lovers and coffee fans alike.

Google
A good stable pastry spot in the city! I’ve known them since their Larkin days, and I’m so happy they’ve grown into such a cozy and elegant space 💛 The staff were very kind and informative. The interior was stunning — warm tones, classic decor, perfect for a quiet chat or catch-up. They’re one of my favorite crepe cake spots in the Bay! The cream is super light, and the cakes I had weren’t too sweet (yay!). Their drinks lean a bit sweeter though, just a heads-up if you like milder options. One thing I love is that they don’t allow computers on weekends — it keeps the space feeling more like a proper afternoon tea destination than a co-working café 🫶 Definitely recommend as a cute “sister” spot for tea dates or peaceful dessert time!

Google
The environment of this café is quite nice — very clean and chill. We ordered the matcha mille crepe cake, Thai tea, and lychee fruit tea. The cake costs $13 per slice, which is about the same price as Lady M, but the quality was just average — not particularly impressive, so it felt a bit overpriced. As for the drinks, they were okay and easy to drink, but my friend thought the Thai tea was a bit too sweet. Overall, it’s not bad, but definitely a bit overpriced. If the prices were more reasonable, it would be perfect. Also, something to note: from Friday to Sunday, laptops are not allowed in the café, so it’s not a good spot for working on weekends.

Google
This place is very cozy and cute. They had so many cakes selection and drinks. You can order at the counter and then staff will serve everything at your table. Cake and Drink were so good and service was fast and friendly :)

Google
Absolutely in love with this place. Everything about it is perfect - the cozy vibe, the delicious desserts, the coffee, the matcha - everything. But what truly makes it special are the girls who work here. They’re always so kind, welcoming, and just radiate good energy. It feels like a little pocket of joy every time I visit. Love them (and this café) with all my heart. 💛

Yelp
I cannot explain how obsessed I am with this place. If I could, I'd be here every week. Every cheesecake and crepe cake I've tried has been phenomenal - amazing texture, light and airy, and strong flavor profiles that do not fall short. The reigning winner for us every time is the Madagascar Bourbon basque cheesecake. We try something new every time, but always get that on the side. I also love the taro (comes with diced taro) and passion fruit crepe cakes. Service is always quick, even during peak hours. It's a spacious shop, there's more seating in the back and an outdoor patio. I love Sweet Glory!

Yelp
I came across this bakery while searching for cakes on Yelp. It sounded and looked interesting. When you walk in, it feels very modern with the counter and display case on the right and the seating area in the left. As you walk further there is additional seating in the back and also a patio. We ordered Cappuccino, Thai tea, and two cake slices. The Cappuccino was pretty with the foam on top, their coffee is made using Ritual brand coffee. It had a good flavor. The Thai Tea is served using half and half. It was flavorful. The slices we ordered was the Japanese Sesame Basque Cheesecake. It was a good surprise of flavor when you take the first bite. It has a rich texture, a little saltiness, good flavor of sesame. The second slice was the Matcha Adzuki Mille Crepe Cake, it had subtle flavor and the texture was moist. Overall the cake slices I preferred the Japanese Sesame Basque Cheese because of the delicious unique taste. The cashier that helped us was nice enough to keep our cake slices in the refrigerator till after we finished our drinks since we wanted the cake slices to go. I would return to try out the other flavors. The price is a little steep at $12 a slice but it is a good treat.

Yelp
Super cute cafe! Reminds me of the Korean cafe aesthetics. I joke that this would be a great first date spot. My friends and I ordered: - pandan crepe cake: love the texture of all the layers and not too sweet. The coconut cream on the side was a nice touch - Black sesame basque cake: it was very rich. It was good but not something you can eat too much of so I would definitely recommend sharing. A tad sweet - matcha latte: it wasn't bad but it was lacking in matcha flavor. The brown sugar syrup overtook the matcha flavor - honey pear jasmine tea: great floral taste and a refreshing drink, especially during the summer. It was pretty sweet - not sure if sugar adjustments can be made since it wasn't asked. Overall just sitting in the place makes me happy. The food and drinks could be improved a bit but overall experience was great. There were signs that laptops/studying was not allowed. Quite a bit of seating and there is a small outdoor seating area in the back as well.

Yelp
I love this sweet little dessert shop! All of their flavors are great, my personal favorites are the pandan chiffon or crepe cake and the durian crepe cake. I think one slice is good to share between two people, but I love that they're individual so you can try as many flavors as you want. A tad bit on the more expensive side as one slice ranges from $9-15 bucks. You order at the counter and then can sit in any of the chairs in the shop. They have a cute backyard as well!

Yelp
There is a place in San Francisco where you can enjoy cheesecake and some coffee . It's refreshing to see no one is trying convert this space into their own home office , digital nomad spot or study hall computer lab on Fridays and weekends because they do not allow laptops during those days which is rare find in the San Francisco urban landscape. They do serve some great desserts like their different variety of burnt cheesecakes. I had the Madagascar Bourbon Brûlée Basque Cheesecake and each bite was decadent with blend of vanilla and bourbon. The Ube Basque Burnt Cheesecake which was not too sweet but each bite was so delicious and very smooth with a hint of vanilla flavor. Next time I will have to check out if their Durian Crepe cake has a potent smell and taste. This spot is Sweet Glory indeed. This place has good sweet dessert flavors like Ube and cheesecake Bourbon which they are regularly serving A relaxing place and oasis where no one is being obnoxious and disturbing on 9th Avenue closer to Irving

Yelp
Absolute gem of cheesecake desserts in the sunset area! Came on a Saturday afternoon and we luckily got street parking out front. There was a tiny wait inside. Luckily they didn't run out of anything when we got here. The cheesecakes were my favorite, especially the matcha, Ube basque and sweet corn. My family are huge coconut lovers so the Pandan coconut was their favorite. Is pretty pricey per slice ($12 average) but honestly it's great for sharing. The staff were super sweet and patient when I was ordering. Overall I would come back to gift this for a special occasion!
google avatar

Yelp
Very tasty cakes! Love the matcha and corn basque ones. Rich flavor but not too sweet.
google avatar

Karen Y.

Yelp
So glad that there is a dessert place in inner sunset! The interior is really cute and while I mostly do take a slice to go, it is a nice location to sit inside (if you can ignore the sounds of the N Judah coming and going). They have drinks but I think most people mostly go for their cakes. They mainly have two types of cakes -- Mille crepes cakes and cheesecakes. I haven't had their cheesecakes yet but I have tried different flavors of their crepe cakes. The cakes are delicious and they do lean more Asian inspired (ex. Pandan flavored) but they also have classics (ex. Oreo flavored). Service is pretty quick. They have a lot of people behind the counter so whenever you're ready to order, someone is usually there to take your order. The price point per slice hovers around $10-15 and if you add a drink it can go to $15-22.

Yelp
Cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, pleasant ambiance but a bit too sweet for this dessert lover. My husband and I decided to share the Passion Fruit Mille cake. It was overly sweet and you definitely need to have a major sweet tooth to appreciate. And at $13 a slice it was also too pricey (especially since you can purchase two large scones from the bakery across the street for the same price!) Service was helpful though not necessarily friendly. There was plenty of indoor seating that extends into the back and includes a lovely outdoor patio. Use of laptops is prohibited Fridays-Sundays.
google avatar

Ziyan C.

Yelp
Adorable spot. Short wait on a Friday around 2:30pm, though they had a constant stream of people coming in. It was pretty full inside but plenty of space on their back patio (though it was very sunny there - we took the one corner with some shade). I found parking within a block but felt like I got lucky. $23.74 total for one slice of cake, one drink. * Sesame Basque Cheesecake ($12.00) - 4.5 stars. A bit heavy but delicious. * Iced Salted egg yolk latte ($7.00) - 5 stars. Thick and lightly sweet with a hint of savory. * Mango mille-feuille - 4 stars. Very tasty.

Yelp
The crepe cakes are all delicious! They have unique flavors and the cakes are just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely come back to try more flavors! Although the shop is usually busy, I never had trouble finding a table to sit down. There is a cute front room and back room with seats.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, the variety of crepe cakes, burnt cheesecakes, lattes, and teas is amazing! Note this is not a good study spot; no WiFi and they don't allow laptop or tablet usage inside. Loads of tables in the front, back, and outside! + Salted Egg Yolk Latte ($7 + $1 almond milk; half sweet): super unique and a flavor I loveee. Good coffee flavor with a hint of custard flavor, wish it was more salted egg yolky but might call for more of the syrup which I halved (8/10) + Thai Tea ($5): classic sweet Thai tea with cream (7/10) I must return to try their cakes!

Yelp
Such an unassuming, cute cafe with a lovely outdoor patio in the back! We came by after brunch nearby to grab dessert and shared the sweet corn basque cheesecake. I was enamored by how cute the slice of cheesecake looked. The sweet corn add a really nice light sweetness to the cheesecake which isn't too sweet and I loved the light whipped cream on top. It's definitely a decadent dessert but doesn't feel too heavy and as someone who loves corn dessert, this was delicious! It was a nice sunny afternoon when we came by so the little courtyard in the back was the perfect setting to relax in for a bit. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
If you want a picture-perfect cafe to enjoy a slice of cake while sipping on a cup of coffee, Sweet Glory is it. With a wide-variety of desserts, the highlight is their assortment of mille crepe cakes ranging from classic flavors such as matcha and earl grey to more adventurous ones like pandan coconut and durian. The basque cheesecakes are also fantastic - creamy and light, they're surprisingly delicate for a cheesecake. You'll be surprised how quickly you can finish one slice and immediately crave another. If you can't make it in person, you can also order online. With aesthetic desserts that are perfectly designed, it's a great place to go if you're looking for a cake to impress and to celebrate your next special occasion.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not a fan of crepe cakes normally but this place changed my mind. I love the minimalistic design of the cafe. As soon as I walked in, I was captivated by the staff who was putting together the layered crepe cake in real time. That's how you know their cake is made fresh in house every day. I was so excited to see such a wide variety of cake selection and I honestly want to try them all. I tried their durian crepe cake and their matcha red bean crepe cake, which were both delicious albeit it was a little melted after a car ride. I prefer this location over the last one for safety reasons and I can't wait to come back to try more!
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Such a cute cafe in a great location. The area has so much to do and Sweet Glory is the perfect place to take a break. They have indoor seating with an additional room in the back and a patio outside, literally so much space. Service is fast for drinks and cakes. They have such unique flavors of cake, many of them Asian inspired. We had the sweet corn and pandan coconut. Both were pretty good, but definitely have to have a sweet tooth or be in the mood for dessert. I dont think they're anything I would personally crave. Got an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte and the Egg Yolk Coffee. The matcha latte was creamy and the perfect amount of sweet, but I didn't love the egg yolk beverage. That being said, both of the items: Sweet Corn Cake and Egg Yolk Coffee, my friend loved so I would say definitely all are worth a try.
google avatar

Nikka C.

Yelp
Ambiance and interior decor of the cafe is on point. Reminds me of a cafe in Japan or Korea. They have a nice outdoor patio too--perfect for a sunny day. We tried a few things: - Mango mille crepe cake - Blueberry mille cheese crepe cake - Pandan and coconut mille crepe cake - Strawberry matcha latte - Lychee rose cooler We loved everything we got. I especially loved the strawberry matcha latte; the matcha was top grade and tasted amazing. My friends and I also thought the best dessert was the mango crepe cake! Def coming back to try more cakes
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE this place! Perfect drinks and my go to place for any cake slices for birthdays. My favorite is the sweet corn basque cheesecake and pandan coconut mille cake.
google avatar

Review M.

Yelp
This is my favorite dessert spot. The cheese cake was rich flavor and the drinks were a bit sweet but still good :)
google avatar

Cassandra C.

Yelp
A beautiful array of sweets. I was in the mood for Ube and cheesecake and this place had just that. I'm looking forward to trying the taro crepes next time. Service was fast and friendly. I would however recommend the use of gloves or utensils when grabbing the food from display case. I didn't catch it till I saw them packaging a to go order.
google avatar

Yelp
This cafe near Golden Gate Park is a must and so cute!! I'll definitely be coming back to try their other flavors. Food(5/5): I tried their passion fruit refresher which was so good, the flavor is strong and tarty. Their ube cheesecake was so good too and had a good ube flavor. Service(5/5): service is friendly and fast, they bring the food to the table and take it away when you're finished. Ambiance(5/5): they unexpectedly have so much seating! It's similar aesthetic in all 3 areas and they even have an outdoor area which is nice. I love how bright and aesthetic the cafe is, it reminds me of the cafes in Korea!
google avatar

Doreen C.

Yelp
This place was sooo cute!! And I honestly just wanted to order everythingggg omg. All the cakes looked so appetizing and aesthetic I wish I could try them all!! I ended up ordering the black sesame basque cheesecake and it was really good. Next time I really want to try the pandan coconut millet crepe cake too! Overall would definitely come back again just to try all the cakes!!
google avatar

Rose P.

Yelp
The people working there are so cheery, sweet, patient, and helpful. Service is quick. You place your order first then find a comfortable seat inside their cozy cafe and orin their cute, clean, sunny back patio. They bring your dessert and drinks to your table. I enjoyed a yummy matcha einspanner and a pandan crepe cake. It was soooooo freakin delicious! I can't wait to try the other desserts. I felt like I was sitting in an outdoor cafe in Paris. Just what I needed to lift my spirits up.
google avatar

Iris H.

Yelp
This cafe has a lovely aesthetic ambience. It's quite big too and has extra space in the back with plenty of seats. It's perfect if you want to have cafe dates or just work/study. I really enjoyed the drinks: lychee rose cooler and honey Korean plum jasmine green tea. The pandan coconut crepe cake is delicious too. -1*: I didn't like so much of the sesame basque cake personally, since I felt like the sesame flavor is too overpowering. Parking is also quite difficult if it's on a busy weekend day.
google avatar

Alice S.

Yelp
This is such a cute dessert spot with delicious crepe cakes! I've been meaning to try the crepe cakes here, so I'm glad I found out there's a newish location in the Sunset (which is a way nicer walk than the original spot in the Tenderloin). I tried the pandan and passfruit crepe cakes, and they were both delicious. These cakes were a bit pricey (~$13/slice), but then again that's comparable to other crepe cake spots. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in the back if you're coming here with friends. Service was friendly as well.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Good drinks good food. You will be asked to leave if you try to work here on Fridays and the weekend. Didn't know this rule until after we ordered. A bit off putting but still a good and pretty dessert spot.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
We were fortunate not to have to wait, we were looking for a caffeine pick me up at a nearby cafe after the academy of science and so glad we stumbled across this gem! I love the concept of portion sized cake slices as I am someone who enjoys trying a little bit of everything without committing to a full on cake. We ordered the Pandan and Coconut Chiffon Cake, Japanese Sesame Basque Burnt Cheesecake, Balsamic Strawberry Vanila Mille Crepe Cake, Matcha Einspanner, and Honey Korean Plum Jasmine Green Tea. My personal favorite was the Sesame Cheesecake I really loved the crust. Overall enjoyed each cake because of the texture and flavor without being overly sweet. Plenty of seating indoor, back area and patio seating which was beautiful on sunny day we came to visit. Our order came out very quickly and they had great customer service - will definitely be back!
google avatar

Belinda C.

Yelp
I'm so glad that they opened this location. My friend got me one of their sesame cakes for my bday one year and I've always wanted to try them. Since I was around this area , my friend and I decided to check this place out. They have seating here and a nice patio. And I loved how it was all decorated for Christmas. They have a lot of crepe cakes. My coworker got me their pandan one before and I'll recommend that as well. This time my friend and I wanted to try their cheesecake. He got the tiramisu cheesecake which in my opinion was better than The Cheesecake Factory's version. I got the Black Sesame jasmine cheesecake which I liked but it would've been better without the cream on top. It was too much cream. Both of these cakes were pretty heavy, so if you can't finish you can ask for a to-go box. I hope to try all their cakes one day
google avatar

Esther C.

Yelp
Such a great addition to the neighborhood! We got the sesame basque cheesecake and hazelnut crepe cake, so light, soft, and not too sweet. Now I want to try every crepe cake they have! The shop itself is really nice and surprisingly spacious, with a cozy back room and a cute little patio. Definitely looking forward to coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
It's official. This is my new go to dessert spot for all occasions. You can get desserts by the beautiful slice as a treat for yourself or to give. Trust me when I say that there is something for everyone. All delicious. One of my favorites so far is the Ube cheesecake. I got a couple of slices for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The customer service is cute, friendly, and caring. The ambiance and storefront is inviting. You can get your desserts to go or stay awhile.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
We were in the area and found this cute dessert shop. Although we visited an hour before closing, there were still a good amount of cakes left to choose from. I got the pandan and coconut mille crepe cake and the ube basque burnt cheesecake. We loved the cakes and enjoyed both of them! The pandan mille crepe had a good pandan flavor and also came with a side of coconut milk(?) that had coconut slices. The ube flavor for the cheesecake was spot on. It was nice and creamy and not too cheesy. The ube whipped cream paired well with each bite. I would definitely come back and try the other flavors!
google avatar

Michele T.

Yelp
We've been wanting to check out Sweet Glory for a while, and finally made it. Cute interior with quite a few tables. So many different cakes to choose from - chiffon, crepe, or basque burnt cheesecake. Kiddo loves pandan so he chose the Pandan Chiffon cake ($8). Hubs and I shared the Tiramisu crepe cake ($11). Although both cakes were good, I liked the pandan chiffon one more while hubs liked the crepe cake more. After a small bite, kiddo wouldn't share anymore of the pandan chiffon. Also ordered the salted egg latte ($7) - slight salted egg flavor. Overall, a good pick me up. The items are a bit pricey, so can't come too often. However, they were nice little treats. The Japanese Sesame basque cheesecake also caught my attention - good excuse to return again.

Yelp
We've been to sweet glory a few times now and it never disappoints. The space is absolutely beautiful and I want to note that the first time I went I thought it was packed because all the tables were taken up in the front, however; they have more seating in the back and outside too so don't be discouraged. All of their crepe cakes and chiffon cakes are absolutely delicious. These people really know about baking and flavors. I tried their iced salted egg yolk latte; amazing. As well as their Japanese sesame latte and it was so good! They have great attentive staff and always keep the space clean.
google avatar

Lianna T.

Yelp
Love the new location! The crepe cakes are so yummy and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. My sister and I got the pandan and tiramisu crepe cakes and they were delicious. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Can't wait to come back and try the other flavors next time!

Yelp
Beautiful new cafe in the city! Love the minimal and calm atmosphere with plenty of seating inside and outside. A plus for being dog friendly on their outdoor patio, which has several tables and benches. Service was extremely friendly and the drinks/food came out in a timely and they even gave my dog a cookie! We felt very comfortable and accommodated which I really appreciated. I got the hojicha latte with oat milk and it was DELICIOUS. Perfect amount of tea flavor (I like it strong) with the right amount of sweetness to balance. I was pleasantly surprised since I usually need to ask for more hojicha powder at other places sometimes. I also tried the iced matcha with oat milk which was not bad as well. I'm also into stronger matcha flavors so this is probably a personal preference, but I preferred the hojicha more. The crème brûlée toast was also really good and I highly recommend. It took about an extra 5 min wait which is not bad at all. The toast was not too sweet, had a good crunch, and was creamy. I should've got two!! Excited to come back and try their other goodies and drinks. What a nice addition to the sunset area!

Yelp
We stopped by after dinner and grabbed a slice of the Passion Fruit Mille Crêpe Cake and the Madagascar Bourbon Brûlée Basque Cheesecake to go. Both were absolutely delicious! The passion fruit cake was light and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. The basque cheesecake was incredibly creamy, soft, and not overly rich, with a lovely brûlée top and a generous dollop of whipped cream. Highly recommend both! The shop itself is super cute, clean, and cozy. Can't wait to return and try more of their amazing flavors!

Yelp
Currently one of my favorite sit-down cafes! The interior is minimalistic, with lots of natural lighting, and they have delicious drinks and sweets. Luckily the menu isn't huge but I feel like it would be less stressful to look at the menu before visiting. Since you order at the entrance, you might feel rushed in picking something. Out of the few drinks I've tried, my favorite is the Sparkling Matcha Jeju Hallabong. For anyone who loves matcha and citrus, this is the drink for you! The Hallabong with sparkling water pairs so well and doesn't overpower the matcha. It's an addicting drink! I also tried a few basque cakes, and they were all great. I love the creamy texture and the unique flavors they bake. Something I like about this cafe is how most of the baked goods do not taste artificial. It seems like they use fresh ingredients, which is amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Yum! What a cute place to enjoy some cake in a beautiful cafe. You walk in and see a gorgeous glass case full of pastries and cakes! We wanted to try a chiffon and a crepe cake so we went with the pandan chiffon and hojicha crepe cake. The chiffon was light and fluffy with a good coconut flavor. The layer of coconut even had pieces of coconut meat. The hojicha crepe cake had a nice roasted/toasted flavor and was pretty filling. We washed it down with a matcha and hojicha latte both iced. Of the two the hojicha had a stronger flavor.

Yelp
Still my favorite place to go for cakes in SF. writing another review for their new location since I've been ordering from their Larkin location for for years now. Ordered one from this location recently and they've actually made the cakes a little fancier with garnishing and designs on top that make it prettier. Flavor and quality are still as great as ever. Their Pandan Coconut Chiffon Cake is still one of the best cakes I've had. It's a great size and had the perfect level of sweetness. The pandan flavor was noticeable and the fresh coconut meat was an excellent touch of quality and texture. Frosting is light and lightly sweetened. Highly recommend this cake and anything at Sweet Glory. Service is great and the cakes are always ready on time when you order ahead. Price is very reasonable given the quality and average price of cakes in SF. This new location in the sunset is bustling, seems like they're doing very well and it is well deserved.

Yelp
I don't commit to full cakes for birthdays anymore if it's just 2-3 people so I look for places with cake slices and this place meets the criteria! The cake-hater currently likes mille crepe so I thought I'd pick up a couple of slices for his birthday. The shop is small but cute. They have drinks to order and a good selection of slices. Tiramisu - I prefer Anton's over this one. I think the coffee taste on this was way too heavy and creamy. Durian - This was their seasonal slice and if you like durian, you should DEFINITELY give this a try. They use real durian and you can taste it all throughout the slice. The box also smelled like durian so you already know. This was birthday boy's favorite. Pandan Coconut - They gave a small container of coconut sauce for this slice. Reminds me of U:Dessert Story. The slice had really good coconut flavor, not much pandan. It was light and enjoyable. All in all, the mille crepe was a good experience however I think there was way too much cream in between so it was less mille-like. I wouldn't mind coming back for other slices but if you prefer less cream, this might not be the place for you.

Yelp
I am a sucker for cute cafes, so I was so happy to discover that a Sweet Glory had opened in this neighborhood. I visited with my sister about an hour after they opened on a weekend, and there was still plenty of seating available - although I recommend to come earlier if you can, because it got packed as we were dining. I was a little overwhelmed at the sheer amount of drinks and cakes available (I wanted to order EVERYTHING) and I felt a little rushed at the register because the line was short I was not done looking at the the available options, so I wished they had menus more readily available towards the front of the store for customers to view. My sister and I opted for the honey citron yuzu, hojicha latte, taro mille crepe cake and the pandan and coconut chiffon cake. The presentation was BEAUTIFUL, and the cakes were the perfect level of Asian sweetness. The pandan and coconut chiffon cake was a litttttle dry, but the flavors were good. There were also pieces of actual coconut in the filling, which didn't taste like much - but was fun to find when you were eating it LOL I think that the honey citron yuzu was overpriced for what it was, but I was surprised at how long my drink stayed fizzy for, so perhaps they are using high end ingredients that could be potentially justifiable... The taro mille crepe cake was probably my favorite of the two cakes, and I liked that it also had chunks of taro in it. The hojicha latte was also yummy, but I wished that I could taste the roast of the tea more. In all, Sweet Glory is a cute cafe with yummy cakes and drinks that I would definitely recommend for a cute date with the girls (or a simple yap session). I'll be back soon!

Yelp
This is a really cute cafe. The cakes are aesthetically beautiful and arranged neatly by flavor in the glass display case. There is soft coffee shop piano music playing in the background. I can envision this place being a great hanging out spot with friends, or a date, or just studying/ working. Just no laptops or tablets on Fridays, weekends and long weekends. The cafe looks small and is rectangular in shape but there are more seating at the rear of the restaurant and there is an outdoor patio too. The holiday decorations (it's December right now) and ambience is calming (but it can get pretty loud if there are other customers chatting at the same time). The cakes are really fresh and good. Not too sweet but still sweet enough to pair nicely with a cup of black coffee. We had the pandan coconut chiffon cake and strawberry balsamic mille crepe cake. The pandan flavor in the chiffon cake is noticeable which was really nice. The cream in the strawberry balsamic mille cake had a gentle taste. Service was quick and restaurant is clean. Although it's a bit pricey, this place is a nice spot to chill and relax if you are looking for something more upscale than a local starbucks.

Yelp
Sweet Glory's 2nd location on Irving! I'm so glad I no longer have to travel to the sketchiest part of the city to enjoy their pastries! This cafe is clean and as sweet as their cakes. They even have an outside area in the back. The lady who helped us was nice and patient as we were trying to decide what we wanted. We also got a slice of pandan coconut mille crepe cake as a gift. And that was well received. Honestly, if you've never tried their cakes, you're missing out! I've had their chiffon cake, mille crepe cake and now cheesecake! So many good flavors to choose from too. This time, we decided to try their ube cheesecake. It was fluffy, lightly sweetened, and not at all dense as I thought it would be. Not too rich that you feel you're putting on pounds with each bite. So Very GOOD! I'll be back to try more flavors, for sure! 5/5

Yelp
Cute cake cafe. Got the sweet corn burnt basque cheesecake and I had no complaints. Also didn't realize it was gluten-free because I don't think it affected the taste or texture. The shop looks small walking in, but there's a whole room in the back with even more seating. The durian crepe cake smelled really good too.

Yelp
Such a delicious and cute dessert cafe! I love crepe cakes, but they're usually a bit expensive, so I don't get to try them as often as I'd like. I'm so happy I found this cafe, though--they make the cakes right in front of you, and the sweetness level is perfect. I also tried the hojicha latte for the first time, hot. It was cold that day, so I was hesitant at first, but I'm so glad I gave it a try. It was absolutely amazing! It is a little pricey, but definitely worth it. I'll definitely order it again next time. I can't wait to come back and try more crepe slices and drinks!

Yelp
So happy that Sweet Glory opened a new location in the sunset area! I found out about this bakery after my cousin bought my birthday cake from Sweet Glory. He got me a strawberry short cake, which tasted like the Asian vanilla chiffon cakes with fresh fruit that everyone loves! For this past Thanksgiving, I decided to opt out of getting the traditional pumpkin pie and ordered a corn basque cheesecake from Sweet Glory. It was a HIT and everyone thought it wasn't too sweet-one of the highest compliments your Asian elder can give you (iykyk haha). I plan on ordering my cakes for birthdays and events from Sweet Glory in the future! They have a wide variety of different cakes and flavors from Mille cream cakes, cheesecakes, to your usual chiffon cakes.

Yelp
The desserts here are so good and the ambience is lovely. The cafe is brightly lit, clean, tons of good seating, and cute backyard patio. We were dog-sitting the weekend we came here and when they brought over our order, they also included a dog treat for our furry friend as well, which I thought was really sweet. For the desserts we got a slice of créme brûlée basque cheesecake and taro mille crepe. The créme brûlée cheesecake was so good -- no notes. Cheesecake filling was soft and rich, but not heavy or dense. The crust was nice and crumbly, and the little dollop of brûléed pudding on top was actually my favorite part and I wished there were more of it on the cheesecake. 8/10 The crepe layers of the taro mille crepe were perfect: fluffy and still QQ to the bit even though each crepe layer was so thin. The cream was so airy and light. The only feedback I have for it is that I think there should be a lot more taro in it, whether in the form of small chunks or paste. I feel like they could probably whip the taro paste in with the cream without weighing down the layers too much. Still tasty overall, but taro to cream ratio was off. 7/10 Would definitely come back to try more of the desserts! High quality bakes and lots of amazing choices to go through.

Yelp
I've always thought that the standard set by the OG Lady M for crepe cakes would be really hard to beat. In Sweet Glory, they now have a worthy competitor! This is in a great spot with lots of amazing restaurants nearby so it's very tempting to drop by for a snack or dessert. The inside is instaworthy as are all of the crepe cakes and other items on display. We tried the sweet corn basque cheesecake, the matcha, and the Pandan. All 3 were absolutely excellent. We enjoyed having the fresh corn on top for the cheesecake. I personally would have preferred a plain matcha without the addition of red bean but it was still good. We took some home in the box they provided us and it held up well. Can't wait to be back here soon!

Yelp
Stopped by here before closing, before our dinner reservation on a recent trip to SF. My friend originally wanted to try their pandan chiffon cafe but i think they said its available the next day or something. Maybe limited to weekends? or just sold out that day? i dont know Ended up getting a durian crepe cake and pandan crepe cake which we didnt eat until like 2 days later for breakfast before checking out (ate too much during trip and had no room HAHA) The flavors of both were nice. As with most crepe cakes, they're all cream filled. Durian has some chunks of durian fruit in it which was nice. The pandan cake came with a side of coconut cream? with chunks of coconut in it too, which was nice. Their menu card has SUPER CUTE drawings of their selection. Overall, both were pretty decent, even after sitting in our hotel's mini-fridge. Would prob return to try other flavors again in the future !
