Where Ayesha Curry Goes In Oakland

"For Curry, Oakland has become home, and most recently she's launched what she calls, 'her love letter' to the city with the opening of Sweet July, an elegant emporium for the home. Private-label home goods and lifestyle products sit alongside a carefully edited curation of labels from creators of color." - Edward Barsamian

Over priced dollor store items. A nail polish for my wife? $19.00. Insane. Plus it was diluted. This was a funnel for the crypto coin you helped crash. Good Bye!

Google
Store/coffee shop with a very limited menu. Sitting in the middle of a store with our coffee felt odd. I'd much rather go to a cafe. We were there for an hour and didn't see anyone buy anything. The store doesn't feel welcoming, it feels a little gallery-like and I was afraid to break anything. There is security outside for parked vehicles so that's nice. I have no need to go back

Google
Peaceful and spacious spot for coffee and lifestyle products. Really liked the choice of earth tones for interior decor, the ambiance is very relaxing. The cold brew was pretty good too.

Ayesha Curry has another hit on her hands! The space is part cafe, part store. I was surprised to find that seating was VERY limited inside - just a couch and a couple of chairs. The rest of the "seating" is meant to show off the home goods. Hopefully, they expand the seating options because the cafe is delicious. Both the savory and sweet bread puddings are worth trying - split with a friend because they are big! You can get half portions of both if you're flying solo. The coffee and tea come with in-house made syrups and the milk of your choice. I ordered the elderberry, ginger tea which hit the spot for my throat after a few days of partying. The cafe is named Sweet July since her wedding date and all of her children's birthdays are in July. It really is a sweet place to check out.

Google
Beautiful store / coffee shop. Airy and tastefully designed, I could hang out here all day :) Friendly staff and good vibes. Didn’t realize until visiting that it is Ayesha Curry’s. Love to see the support for black owned brands and products. One note - the product assortment is nice however could be better if there were more gifty impulse items at lower price points ($25-$50). The coffee was delicious too, love the variety of house made syrups.

Google
First time stepping into this store! Very modern, sleek, and cool spot. All types or things sold here including soap, candles, and items for the home. I bought a iced coffee w/ island flavor- deelicious! 😋

Google
Unfortunately wasn’t able to experience the store despite traveling from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Because “Sorry, we’re closing a bit early today.” It was 1:30 pm on Saturday 10/19/24 No signage in the door or any notice online. But was told they’ll open again tomorrow at 9 am. The picture was my view as I walked back to my car, sadly.

Google
This shop is hella dope! Love how they sell different products from African American women. The representation is strong in there! Also, the ladies that work there were extremely friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back. Plus the tea was hella good!

Yelp
This is my first experience using the Morning Essential Set. When I was in the shower and put some of the Pava Exfoliating Cleanser on my face, I had never had a product so exhilarating that it made my face feel like this. The smell, the feel, and the tingle from the touch of it on my face were incredible. When I rinsed it off, I had to grab the bottle again to reread the ingredients because I was so in awe. Once I got out, I was excited to see how my skin felt when I tried the rest of the products from the set. I must confess that from the Pava Toner to the Soursop Vitamin C Serum and the Castaway Cream, I felt like I had just left an exclusive spa treatment. I can't believe I didn't discover these products sooner. They are truly worth every penny of the investment (because I'm worth it). I hope they consider adding a travel-size option. It would be so convenient to have these products in my carry-on. When I opened the box, there was a spirit of excellence, even in the packaging and presentation. I felt like a valued customer. Thank you!

Yelp
Such a beautiful space that showcases Ayesha Curry's products and design. Love how quiet and relaxed it was on a Sunday morning and the latte price was so much cheaper than it is at other coffee shops, but I don't think I've ever purchased a more watered down coffee. Also, it's unfortunately in an area that feels economically abandoned by the Oakland government, so it's not the most comfortable to drive and walk around there.

Susan L.

Yelp
Way too pricey for tiny little drink that tasted watery ... would not recommend . Went to check out the "hype" and disappointed.

Yelp
We were looking for a cafe to get some drinks and work out of. We stumbled across this cafe+shop which happens to be owned by Ayesha Curry. I love that the store features her brands as well as other women/black owned businesses. My partner got an iced Masala Chai latte which was super reasonably priced around $3 and it was delicious. There's plenty of seating and it felt so homey with a couch, long table, and clean restroom - we were there for a few hours. Only thing I will say is the outlets aren't that close to the seating areas. Props to Ayesha, beautiful shop/cafe and great music!

Yelp
I loved the vibe, the merchandise was BEAUTIFUL! And the coffee was sooo good, i bought a bag of coffee beans to take home.

Yelp
This is an Ayesha Curry store that features a cafe to the left, and a retail store to the right. They carry a small selection of elegant but expensive books, home decor, kitchenware and skin care products. The aesthetics are beautiful and calming, and the staff do a really good job of maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of the shop. The cafe has a very limited selection, so we just opted to go with an iced coffee. It was a bit weak and didn't really stand out. Staff here however are extremely friendly and very nice to interact with.

Yelp
This is Aisha Curry's place. The decor is so cute. I love that they work with black artists in different fields. They have several flavored coffees, teas and wonderful danishes and cookies. It's a nice place to relax and chill with a couple of friends or to get out of the house amongst others to do some work. I was sincerely impressed with the place. Can't wait to go back. I also wanted to add that, we were there on Mother's day. The real treat was that our drinks were free. So very thankful for that!

Yelp
Couldn't help but want to show my sister how cute Sweet July is! This is not only a coffee/tea shop, but also a small business shop. After my first experience here last month, I also wanted to share this experience with my sister as well. My first time here was wonderful. The staff were super nice when it came to recommendations and what drink to pair which syrup with. Because I was curious about some of the ingredients, one of the staff also showed me what each ingredient looked like when they were brewing my Chai. How cool is that! I love the seat setup too. They have a couple soft seats for individuals, but also a communal table for larger groups. The interior of this place is so aesthetically pleasing! From the cozy looking blankets, to the collapsible cups, I feel like everything spells quality here! Today, my sister and I both each got a cup of their Masala Chai with oat milk and Soul Warmer sugar (recommended by a staff last time). It's not so sweet, but has a comforting warm taste to it. It's a tad on the light side, but nonetheless, this was such a nice treat on a cozy day. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Sweet July- holds a special place in the mother of three's founder Ayesha Curry. Super chic atmosphere. I love how local small business are incorporated into the store. You have Ayesha cookware line is showcased, along with her dripped coffee, scented candles, books, fragrances, apparel, and other knickknacks by the community. The coffee is strong but worth the visit.
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
This is a very nice and cozy coffee shop. It's a blend of a coffee shop to shop with all the different small business brands. I love the support and their concept. It's very nice to just shop and sit their table or couch after their coffee and tea. The morning tea is really delicious and drip coffee is not as bad as well. Happy 2nd anniversary to them as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Happened upon this fantastic business when in Oakland. The spirit and vibe of the store was welcoming and inspiring. To highlight women owned business and brand! I'm all onboard! Did I say my tea was excellent. Clean restroom (after a two hour Drive in morning) just all good! Will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little shop, I wish the coffee shop part were a little bigger but it is fine as it is, the morning tea with ginger coco is my favorite. The store itself offers nice items, some very overpriced like a $40 pen, some a little more affordable. The vibe of it all though is fun.

Yelp
I really love the Mom and Pop businesses all over downtown Oakland, and Sweet July is one of my favorites for all things home-related, gift-related, book-related, or simply drinks-related (yes, they have a small tea and coffee bar off to the left side of the shop when you enter, with a selection of bottled drinks as well). The staff is all super friendly and helpful, so don't be shy to ask them about the items you're eyeing or what makes a good present for a special someone! I love how carefully curated the selection of goods is in this shop, from their chinaware to their coffee accessories and Fellow thermoses and kettles. More recently, I began noticing Sweet July (SJ) exclusive items such as the Forest Green SJ Fellow Splash-Guarded Thermos as well as a collapsable SJ cup and straw set. I ended up buying both on Black Friday and cannot wait to use them, knowing these brands to both be top-notch in their respective departments. The quality of the items selected at SJ cannot be beaten, everything is so well thought out and you can tell all the items reveal a lot of the personality behind the shop owner/the buying team at SJ. If you're there and have some time, I highly recommend ordering a drink at their bar and simply lounging in their beautiful space like the modern but spacious sofa in the middle of the store or at one of the long dining room tables -- I've definitely seen more than one person working from those tables during the day. I recommend the Sweet Morning and the Sweet Evening Teas -- They are both very fragrant, especially with their unique sweetener options (ask the barista which she recommends with your drink!)

Yelp
Haven't really explored this side of the bay but as a big coffee connoisseur, I just had to try it. I seriously loved the cultural art all around the coffee shop, as well as the aesthetics! The barista that helped me was so helpful when it came down to ordering which drink and flavor to choose from. Honestly, I didn't care too much for the drink I ordered, only bc it was kinda watery but I'm down to give this place another chance and try the other drinks they have to offer. 4.5 only bc I probably ordered the wrong drink!

Yelp
Came here yesterday on a Saturday afternoon and I already want to go back! It has such a cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor. I ordered an iced drip coffee with sweet thang sugar. Requested for half pumps of sugar and it was perfect. The cashier was friendly and answered our menu questions. There were nice home good items to shop for too. I wanted them all! Sat down at the couch and just caught up with my friend. Great spot for coffee hangouts. The only downside is that there's limited seating (long table, couch, some chairs). I didn't see any outlets so not ideal for studying. The restroom was clean and nicely decorated. Street parking only. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great staff and beautiful space. Coffee is great, and so we the almond croissant. I've tried the morning bun before too. Not sure if you can sit around the space as I was picking up, but would love to shop there

Yelp
Visited with my friend and found parking right away at a meter right next to the store. Our goal overall was to get some coffee and we definitely got a great fix! The coffee blend taste really balanced and not too bitter but definitely strong enough for our liking! We were really satisfied with the experience and the aesthetic environment of the store overall! Pricing was very reasonable as well, which I was happy about. For the 12oz and a banana nut muffin I paid around $8 which is a better deal compared to other places.
google avatar

Shiela T.

Yelp
Loved the service from the ladies at the coffee bar - pleasant, happy and very welcoming. The drip coffee .. also amazing. The vibe of the shop overall is inviting. It's an open space with different kinds of merchandise to choose from like clothing, coffee, home goods and books. I really loved the artwork and the color scheme of the store gives it an airiness which reminds me of Anthropology.

Yelp
Hi Yelp Fam: Kat here with yet another cafe review! Super excited for this as it Ayesha Curry's new pop up store. Ayesha, although doesn't live in the area, wanted to create a welcoming women of color empowerment safe space for those to gather, shop, eat, and enjoy a cup of Joe. Aesthetics of the indoors are beautiful and flawlessly color coordinated Parking: metered but there is a nice security guard that may watch your car for you if you as nicely Bay windows to easily do people watching Light selection of pastries including rum apple bread pudding (not pictured) and drip coffees and teas. Please support small business and visit this blossoming year old beautiful space cheers !

Yelp
A lovely place to sit and have coffee or maybe just look at lots of pretty things. There are so many nice gems in here like candles and pillows and tableware. I bought some pheromone oil as a birthday gift for a friend here. The bathroom is super nice and the smell in there was so lovely that I asked them if they sold the scent and they did! The only downside that messed up the vibe for me was a full-time security guard standing there I guess to protect the merchandise and artwork. Feels weird. Other than that this place is wonderful.

Yelp
What a gem, corner coffee bar inside a boutique store that carries home goods. A great place to find unique handmade gift items such as leather bags, throws, jewelry, and more by local artists. Comfortable seating area and simple menu with drip coffee & some baked goods. Tried the chai tea with specialty syrup & their bread pudding. Great service by the barista.
google avatar

Yelp
What a beautiful store. All the products are well curated to create a certain store aesthetic and theme. There is a coffee corner with a basic albeit well-done selection of either hot or iced coffee. There are a number of unique syrups made in store that you can add to the coffee. The barista recommended Lavender Fields and it did not disappoint. The amount they added was perfect for my taste and not overly sweet. I love that you can mill around and take your coffee anywhere in the store. There's a sofa, several seats, and picnic-style bench. Even the bathroom is cute. Last but not least, every person who works here is extremely welcoming and friendly including the security guard at the door who welcomes you in.
google avatar

Claire P.

Yelp
The tea was freshly brewed and it didn't take long at all. The barista was very nice and gave me this recommendation and I would get it again, but I also want to try their coffee. This store was confusing because it wasn't your typical coffee shop because it was also a store. The music was great and I loved the aesthetic look of the place. There was plenty of seating and free wifi, so I will definitely be coming back to do work again.

Yelp
Ooo so fire and so thankful for the space and the people ho chose to be there. Highly recommend and the swag cute!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute store. Beautiful and relaxing with some gorgeous ceramics. Not to mention they sell Apothekary powders & have cute pop-ups. Bought some stuff from Nu Essentials Self-Care based company. As well as the Apple Pudding Bread

Yelp
How the heck am I just finding out about this gem!? This cafe/store owned by Ayesha Curry was a win in my books. I love the concept of the store. Half cafe, half store featuring tons of home goods and merch from local sellers. Loved the aesthetic and decor! Very IG friendly. Even the bathroom was super cute! Coffee/tea menu is pretty limited but that doesn't bother me since I'm pretty basic with my drinks anyways. I ordered the masala chai and it was divine. A small selection of baked goods were available as well if you're hungry. A great place to study, catch up with friends, shop and drink!

Yelp
This spot is a little gem downtown Oakland. Great coffee and ambiance! The employees are always very helpful and pleasant.

Yelp
Wonderful, wonderful!! Great atmosphere to grab a cup of coffee or tea. Feels like a secret place to kick back for a bit or grab a gift for yourself or someone else. My best friend and I really enjoyed the vibe. Really cute and useful items for all ages. Looking forward to stopping by with the husband.

Yelp
I feel quite intimidated posting this especially since Sweet July was beautifully created and founded by lovely Ayesha Curry and most of these reviews are 4/5 stars. However, I just gotta be real about my thoughts/experience. *What we ordered (Drinks are customizable): -1 large Iced Coffee w/ "Cup of Luck" (Irish Cream) Sugar & Whole Milk (5/10 rating) -1 small Iced Tea w/ "Mint Leaf" (Mint Simple Syrup) Sugar (7/10 rating) -1 Banana Pudding (7/10 rating) -1 Almond Croissant (8/10 rating) *How to order your drink: 1) Choose your drink base (Hot coffee? Iced Tea? Iced Latte? Etc.) 2) Choose your choice of Dairy 3) Choose your choice of Sugar 4) Choose the size of your drink between Small or Large *Pros: -Store aesthetics -Pastries -Dog friendly -Touchless Payment -Clean/COVID precautions spot on -Good choice of music (SZA, other R&B artists during the time we went hehe) -Kind staff *Cons: -Caffe drinks (ironically) -Parking Right away, you automatically walk in to such an aesthetically pleasing store. The color tones, the items for purchase, the font of the signs, beautiful magazine covers of Ayesha, the beautiful art work, literally every single thing in this store has such a beautiful aesthetic. It feels so light and airy when you walk inside. I loved it so much and it automatically sets such a beautiful impression. Left side of the store is for the cafe. The right side of the store is for purchasing items like magazines, house appliances, clothing, kitchenware, and much more. Staff were pretty welcoming and kind. I loved the recommendations the cashier lady was giving us. It was funny because my boyfriend ordered an Ice Tea and decided to pair it with Irish Cream sugar. The lady and I looked at each other as if it did not sound like a good combination, so she was cool enough to suggest another sugar choice haha. Now, for the star of the review...the coffee. I was so bummed with my Iced Coffee. Despite ordering an Iced coffee with Irish cream, my drink really just tasted like watery coffee and milk. I did not taste the essence and hints of Irish Cream nor was my drink sweet, not even a tad bit. I know a lot of people like their coffee to be bland and not as sweet, but to me it really just tasted like coffee and milk. The Iced Tea drink was pretty good. I tasted the floral-ness of the tea, and the mint flavor of the sugar. The pastries were pretty yummy, better than the drinks actually. Parking is primarily meter based parking. I think there is a parking lot next to the store, however I was not sure if it was for public or private business parking. Would I come back? Sure. I would love to order something else and give Sweet July another try. However, not anytime soon.

Yelp
Always a great spot to chill and catch up with friends. Whenever I have visitors I always take them to Sweet July knowing it's Ayesha Curry's shop and there are merch from local sellers to browse. I love the concept of the shop, it's a bakery, study space and apothecary shop. I remember on one of her ig posts, she mentioned about summer being the season of celebrations for her family, she named the shop Sweet July to remember all of the good and happy memories/ celebrations. It's the perfect name of the store to uphold the things the shop carries. I absolutely enjoy browsing and getting drinks there. Service is above and beyond!!

Yelp
So I parked across the street on my way to lunch. I had to go in. Let's face it, Ayesha Curry can do no wrong in my heart. And Sweet July is all right. The items support small business owners. Everything is earthy and lush. Love the dishware and the body creams. Also a nice book section. It's fun to roam around. The staff is friendly and helpful. Things are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for...and your supporting an independent creator/biz owner. Lovely. Enjoy!

Yelp
Sweet July was a visit Jan. 21th. review up shortly thereafter. curious review is gone. this is a rewrite of what i remember. many associates were on the floor to answer questions. store was in skeletal soft opening mode. coffee bar area wasn't stacked yet. clothing, home goods, cookbooks, furnishings, etc. had minimal inventory. fabulous looking shop... drink: covfefe, Sweet July blend (2..) special blend created for store -smooth, light to medium roast, tasty but not my type. -not suited for a pick me up, great for a casual sipping. this space is a few blocks up from broadway.
google avatar

Yelp
Omg this has to be the cutest cafe in downtown Oakland! I hosted my meet up group here and the staff were so nice! The muffin and iced hibiscus tea I ordered was so delicious! The layout of the cafe is top tier, so many places to sit and hangout! I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This is such a lovely store. The moment you cross the threshold, you feel a sense of comfort and zen. The minimalist decor, soft colors, and plants inspire you to take a breath and absorb everything. The coffee bar is to the left and the wares, to the right. All products are either the Sweet July brand, Black owned, or female owned. I saw bedding, books, nail polish, hand cream, children's clothing, spices, coffee and more for sale. So many items, but the store maintains a light and airy feel. Of course I couldn't leave without a treat and coffee. I got the house blend coffee. They have a variety of dairy/nondairy milks and many sweeteners. They add both milk and creamer for you. This always makes me nervous. Will it be the proper amounts of each added to my liking? Well, it was perfect! I requested oat milk and their dulce de leche sweetener be added to my coffee. I also got the vegan , banana bread pudding. They also have a lemon bread pudding, and a savory. The pieces are huge. It's enough for two people to share. The bread pudding was really tasty and moist. Give this beautiful shop a visit.
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
So Ms. Curry is really out here doing the thang! Loved the drip coffee and the entire decor. While you're waiting for your coffee (or enjoying it) I love how it's also an art gallery featuring local artists. Candidly I did not like the vegan bread pudding, but hey, to each their own. If you're ever in the area, I'd highly recommend dropping in for a drip or iced coffee and to support local artists.

Yelp
Ayesha Curry has opened up a beautiful home goods store to add to Oakland's revival. My sister-in-law was really excited to check this out so I joined out of curiousity. There are a wide range earth tone products here, that vary from blankets to table linens and plates to scarves to nail polish to coffee beans. I noticed that a number of their products on sale support Northern California artisans and businesses. It's a gorgeous store with tons of natural light and a high ceiling that feels like an urban escape. There wasn't too much for me as a guy, but Sweet July has a sweet coffee bar where a man can park himself while someone he knows does some shopping. It wasn't too hard to find street parking on a Saturday afternoon. Check it out if you're in the area!

James S.

Yelp
Stop 2 of my Date Day Friday . We were welcome . The store had a nice vibe to it with some really nice items . The cafe was nice and the Masala Chai Tea was delicious. The temperature was perfect. I would highly recommend and return .

Yelp
Sweet July is a delightful addition to the Uptown Oakland landscape. Ayesha Curry's new retail space sells home decor, jewelry, candles, books and coffee. The coffee is good. Oakland has lots of great coffee establishments like Red Bay, Blue Bottle, Tierra Mia and Bicycle Coffee but what makes Sweet July's coffee different and interesting is the different flavored sweeteners that you can add. I love their cups that say "Walk Good" Oakland. Note: there are no expresso drinks, but the baked goods are huge! The store joins a block of retail establishments dominated by black women entrepreneurs. It has high style and elegance. The store features products from other black business owners. The staff is warm, welcoming and pay attention. I will be investigating the beauty and skin care products.
google avatar

Yelp
The cutest little shop on the corner of the apartments close by to the Taco Bell. Ordered the iced coffee with lavender field syrup. Loved this recommendation and had a strong lavender which I personally enjoyed as other places don't give a strong floral taste. Could be overwhelming if you don't like floral but a good cup of coffee that will keep me energized. Such cute home decor stuff as well, definitely worth a try :)
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Ayesha Curry has just opened her first retail store in Oakland, in conjunction with her lifestyle magazine called Sweet July. The Sweet July store and cafe debuted in the Uptown neighborhood. If that doesn't sway you to visit this place, come for the home knick knacks, the cool hues, and the hefty bread pudding. The cafe is located on the corner with open windows so I just wish they had a seating area to enjoy my coffee and pastry in house while I people watch. Staff was great

Mimi F.

Yelp
Super sweet café! Staff are super friendly, and the shop is incredibly cute. But the coffee is among the worst...
google avatar

Vicky L.

Yelp
This coffee shop is great for catching up with friends and super aesthetically pleasing! Love the home goods they have there. I got the summer day tea and it was tart and strong ginger flavor which I'm a sucker for ginger so I loved it. Also they're dog friendly so that's a huge plus for me too. However, I didn't think the tea was super unique so I definitely need to go back and try their flavored sugars/syrups!
google avatar

Sharon C.

Yelp
Loved this cute cafe! The ambiance is super nice. I sat down for a bit to finish some work and really enjoyed the experience. Within the shop there are sections of things to look at--books, some home goods, clothes, etc. very interesting vibe. I got the Sweet Mornings tea ($4) with Lavender syrup and oat milk. The flavor was very nice and floral. I also got a lemon scone ($3.50). The girl at the counter was very sweet and friendly. Definitely will come back when I can!

Yelp
I came here for the hype (and also to get some coffee because I was up at 4am that day and had a Warriors game to look forward to later that night). While on my way to work at 9am, I thought "Hey, maybe I should try Ayesha's coffee shop!" And then I was there -- the shop is nestled at the street level of some fairly new apartment buildings in the edge of Uptown Oakland, and to my surprise, there was actually a good amount of parking space present! When I walked into the shop, I noticed that seating areas were blocked off (so that meant I had to go straight to work to do work). The lights were a nice and bright, the layout was welcoming and inspiring, and the side by side look of the sale space and the cafe area balanced each other well. Staff were super friendly and helpful as I made my order and even gave some suggestions to me based off of what I shared in terms of things I like. Drinks here include drip coffee with your choice of syrup -- I ended up getting the Sweet Thang and ordering a Peppermint Bark bread pudding to accompany it. The coffee was IMMACULATE. Let me tell you, it was absolutely perfect for the job of keeping me up and energized that day. It definitely isn't Vietnamese coffee (which I drink whenever I need to really be away and active), but it's a good level down! The coffee was strong, and it lasted me until the afternoon when I came home to my boyfriend (I usually down my coffee in less than 15 minutes). Even after all those hours, you would think that the drink waters down, but my boyfriend tried it and was shocked at how strong it was too (this was around 3pm -- about 6 hours later). The bread pudding was so delicious! I had it warmed up and I got to enjoy a huge amount of it to snack on while I was at work doing phone calls with patients and preparing presentations and crunching data. The portion was definitely way too much for me, but I was able to bring it home for my boyfriend's sister and mom to try. My first experience at Sweet July was definitely appreciated, especially since the coffee kept me up to see Ayesha's husband play against and beat the Dallas Mavericks that same night. I'm looking forward to having the coffee here again, and hopefully getting the chance to do some work here in the future!

Yelp
Sure, there are many coffee shops in Oakland. But not many like this! Sweet July is a gem. The place is very intentionally and thoughtfully decorated. Kind staff, excellent lighting, and delicious drinks. With glass walls all around, the facility gets natural lighting throughout. Inside is beautifully decorated with a variety of rare houseplants. For example, I saw a scindapsis pictus and Hindu rope in bloom. The Hindu rope was right on the table within arms reach. The placement felt like a sign that they trust their clientele. I also found out that they get their plants from the locally owned Black Girls Greenhouse (if you're into plants this is a MUST). A theme seems to be female empowerment, with a whole wall of paintings of several strong women leaders like Stacy Abrams and Kamala Harris. Playlist features Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, and other like artists. I got an iced coconut ginger coffee with coconut milk - amazing. It wasn't too sweet and the flavors all came through perfectly. They had a lot to offer in terms of inventory - books, clothing, household items. Lots of potential for holiday gifts. I'm gonna go back here. Asap.

Yelp
I had such high expectations for this place, and while the store is just as beautiful as I could imagine. The space is beautifully designed and decorated with neutral, warm tones. All the items they have for sale are really aesthetically pleasing as well. That being said, their coffee was a let down for me. Their coffee is not espresso based, but is rather a house blend drip coffee with different syrups and milk you can add to it. I ordered an iced coffee with lavender syrup and a hot coffee with cinnamon, anise, and clove syrup. The syrups are delicious. But the coffee is quite weak and almost bland(?) and lacking in aroma. It did not pack that punch that I look for in my first sip of coffee. The bread puddings are much better. I got one with savory ham & cheese, and another with caramel banana. Both are delicious. I especially loved the cinnamon in the caramel banana. Overall, if you're looking for a nice place to shop, this place is great. However, if you're looking for coffee, I think there are better options elsewhere.

Yelp
Cute place and great ambience! Everyone at the cafe was so friendly and welcoming! Also sells a lot of cute kitchenware (I bought a few cups and glasses here). Coffee was not to my taste. Too light and I didn't think any of their specialty flavor combos worked. (I prefer expresso and lattes, so could be my palette).

Yelp
This place is so cute! Some things to note: - the cafe/coffee shop menu is very limited - No outlets but there is wifi (I didn't use it though, it wasn't very stable but not sure if it's because three other friends were actively using it first.) I used my mobile hotspot but my Verizon network wasn't strong there! Selfishly I don't want this place to get more popular because it feels like such a gem! It's in a great location near some other restaurants in Uptown as well. The space is not too small but there is limited seating: there's one large table where a few groups of people could sit and co-work, a very cute couch and a few chairs. I love the concept of the space - I came here with a few friends to study. We'd study for a bit and whenever we needed a short break we'd check out the items they were selling. I ended up buying a few items... I love that the place isn't too loud but isn't dead quiet either. There is a bathroom at this place too which is kept quite clean. We came on the day of their 2-year anniversary and they gave us free coffee! The staff was very friendly. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back!
