Sweet Melody Ice Cream

Life has never been sweeter! Sweet Melody is literally the best discovery I have made in over a decade! This is the only ice cream good enough for me and my family! Their ingredients are natural, high quality, the variety is vast and there are monthly offerings as well as limited edition offerings for great causes! The owner, Mike, is a genuinely wonderful human being and as he said, this ice cream shop was a love letter to his daughter, Melody, and this love letter is a work of ART!

I've bought ice cream here on a couple different occasions after having dinner at Stranger Beast next door - Cookie monster and the pistachio are great! Decided to grab a Guava & Cream Cheese pint this past week and it didn't disappoint. The parking situation can be a little intense but nothing out of this world since you're in and out quickly thanks to the ventanita. Quick and friendly service and delicious ice cream. I'll be back to try the passion fruit next time!

I’ve been coming to Sweet Melody’s since the beginning and it’s AMAZING! Oh my gosh I just tried their pistachio flavor for the first time and it is mouth dropping good!!!!! 10/10 their ice cream is like no other!

Loved it!! I got the Abuela’s Flan & Ecuadorian Chocolate — both were sooo good and so CREAMY! Like nothing I’ve ever had before. I’m so happy I found Sweet Melody 🤎

Hands down one of the best ice cream shops in Miami. From the moment you walk up to the window, the customer service is absolutely top-tier—friendly, fast, and genuinely warm. You can tell the owner really cares about the experience, and that goes a long way. As for the ice cream? Incredible. Whether you're keeping it classic with a velvety vanilla or diving into one of their more outrageous flavor experiments (and trust me, do it), the quality is unmatched. Rich, creamy, never too sweet, and always bursting with flavor—every bite feels like it was crafted with care. Pickup is a breeze too. Perfect for those of us with kids in the car or just looking for a quick dessert fix without any hassle. Kendall’s got a gem with this one. Can't recommend it enough!

Still putting five stars because I know how hard Mike works. But…..wish there were more vegan flavors readily available. Pints only? I appreciate the “cross contamination” thought but as someone that’s also worked in the food industry….this is easily remedied with separate scoopers. It sucks cause there used to be so many vegan flavors and now they can’t even be scooped. Literally no one cares to think about vegans since we are the minority and it shows. Extremely unfortunate and why I have stopped shopping here more and more…

Sweet Melody’s is hands-down one of the best local spots in town. I’ve been coming here for years and have tried so many of their creative, delicious flavors. I think there’s only one flavor I didn’t love—and that’s saying a lot considering how many I’ve had! You can tell there’s real passion behind this place. The owner, Mike, is super involved and even replies to DMs himself (pretty sure he’s the one that responds lol), which makes the whole experience feel extra personal. Once you go Sweet Melody’s, you never go back.

The best ice cream in Kendall! I love how they always have new flavors of the week and keep surprising me with their diverse creativity of ice cream. The service is fast and friendly also!

A lil ice cream pick up window in Kendall. Of course, I always crave dessert after a meal so we had to stop by here after visiting Strange Beast a few doors down. Literally a hop & skip away, Sweet Melody has great ice cream that can please the masses. They have amazing flavors and sell some by scoops and some by the pint. If you don't see anyone at the window, there is a little doorbell you can ring for assistance. The girl helping us was really nice and helped us navigate the menu. I ended up getting a pint of the 50 shades of Early Grey because I LOVE earl grey ice cream. It had such a great flavor profile and came with chunks of butter biscuits, which really complimented the ice cream. Another friend got the Hella Nutella and it was good but had chunks of brownies and some hazelnuts in there which was good but wasn't as hella Nutella as we expected. Such a great spot to pick up ice cream!

They have a lot of flavors that sound great, but minimal flavors to try. Most flavors are only available in a pint. I tried the baklava, which was great. It was filled with caramelized nuts and crunchy pieces of fillo dough. It wasn't too sweet, and the rose water was a great touch. The service was quick and friendly at the takeout window. I did taste the cafe con leche flavor which was good, but just reminded me of a regular coffee ice cream. I'll be back, but it won't be my first choice due to the lack of flavors available in a cone.

I saw Sweet Melody on Instagram and had to give them a try. Prices are hard to find, so to save you some time- pints are $12 each, and buy 3 get 1 free. I decided take advantage of their deal and purchased 4 pints. Hella Nutella- This flavor I found unique and delicious, and I really enjoyed it. True to its description, it was loaded with hazelnuts and brownies. The texture was creamy but also sorta chewy. I didn't want to put it down. A must try if you like Nutella. Kookie Monster- Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by this one. I got half way through the pint and found only one tiny Oreo piece and one tiny chocolate chip cookie piece. I found it to be on the watery tasting side. It lacked creaminess. It felt healthy, which if that is the case, then I guess that's a good thing. But if I was looking for a rich and decadent ice cream experience, it would not deliver. I also wasn't crazy about all the artificial blue dye. I did realize that it was dyed when I was getting it, but as I sat and ate the bright blue treat my health conscious mind kept screaming to stop it. It left my lips stained blue, and though I know the color is part of the fun, I think maybe it would be cool if they offered a natural version for those who want to avoid artificial dyes. Cosmic Brownie - Also underwhelming. The flavor lacked richness and creaminess. It had a watery flavor to it. It had a good amount of brownies inside, so that was good and a saving factor. I didn't find many cosmic chips at all. Jon Dough - This one was PACKED full of maple cookie dough, although the ice cream itself also lacked creaminess. I discovered that I'm not a fan of maple, too. I really admire and respect what this small business owner is doing and wish him much success, but for me it was a miss. The prices are high. I spent $40 for 4 tiny PINTS of ice cream. I do believe it's handmade and the allure of different, super unique flavors each week is very cool. I'd pay this if the ice cream had tasted rich and creamy and wowed my tastebuds- but unfortunately it did not. If this is meant to be diet/low-fat then they are hitting their mark. If it's meant to be rich and decadent, then no.

This sweet spot has come a long way since my review, from the always convenient ventanita to the great customer service, i have to say I've learn to love Sweet Melody. Hands down to the best Guava and Chocolate ice cream, on my last visit i had the seasonal flavor "flan" ice cream and it was absolutely delicious!

Good stuff!!! Really good ice cream. Love this place. It's a little out west, but you've got to try this place if you're in the area.

Our fam always loves a yummy pint from sweet melody's! My absolute favorite is the dolphins pint but it id seasonal! The kooki monster is a usual flavor and my second favorite. This week their rotating flavor of the flan was so delicious!! The service is always great at la ventanita, quick and they are always knowledable.

Be warned this is only a window so think fast food style. They don't have any tables or seating so keep that in mind. They have four flavors available for scoops (individual servings) abuelas flan, Cookie Monster, chocolate and guava & cream cheese. All other flavors are by the pint. I had the guava & cream cheese and it was delicious. It has swirls of guava in it which gives it a punch of flavor. The attendant was kind and quick. I would definitely recommend!

Love coming to sweet melody, I'm obsessed with their abuela flans and the guava and cream cheese ice cream. Service is super quick and the ladies that have helped me are super nice. La ventanita service is the best .

My favorite ice cream window!! You can't go wrong with this easy walk up window with lots of choices for some delicious flavors. Absolutely loved the flavor of the month Italian rainbow cookie and the buy three get one free deal always gives the option of trying new flavors. The service could be a tiny bit faster as we were waiting at the window with about five people inside before somebody showed up. Can't wait to go back again and try some more!

I've been shopping from this ice cream spot for about three years and i've never been disappointed. It's the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. Every (Seriously, EVERY) flavor is a hit. The owner mike is always involved, i've been both locations (Gables and Kendall location) and he's either cleaning in the back, or scooping up front. All staff has always been helpful, give the best recommendations and always serve with a smile. I tell everyone about this ice cream as it truly is the best i've ever had. I pray every day to get fired from my job so i can come work here and eat ice cream every day lol. Thank you to the Sweet Melody team for always being great and creating the best ice creams EVER!!! HIGHLY recommend English Toffee Bar, Oreooooo, Chocolate Wasted, Baby Yoda!!!!!!!! Anything really, they're are that good.

One sentence - BEST COOKIE MONSTER ICE CREAM EVER. Came here for a late night ice cream treat with my little brother. We are both watching our sweet intake and shared a scoop of ice cream. We both agreed we could each eat a pint of Cookie Monster ice cream from sweet melody.

That Abuela's flan ice-cream will be the death of me. It is so good, I crave it almost everyday. Amazing quality ice-cream and amazing service! You can really tell they put a lot of love into it.

I waited to leave this review but I have to be honest. I was not impressed with my two selections. The flavor of both tasted pretty much the same. The flavor of the chocolate ice cream reminded me of a Wendy's frosty but creamer and the rocky road was lacking in all aspects. The Hella Nutella maybe I got the bottom of the barrel for both the description listed all of these amazing tastes and salty malty brownies I was left with chocolate ice cream. This was my first experience, and I was hyped to finally try them but quickly let down.

This place is a hidden gem. We've been to the Gables scoop shop and La Ventanita and love them both. The flavors are always changing and are fresh and original. May's flavors have been my favorite so far. The owner is super nice and loves his customers. His employees are super sweet as well. Highly recommend if you love ice cream!

Pretty good ice cream in my opinion. However, how in the world is it 12 dollars for ONE pint. When I can get more for the same price elsewhere. I would return it but I paid for it already. This should be 6 dollars MAX. I feel like I paid for Gucci ice cream.

Hands down BEST ice cream we have ever had! So full of flavor and creaminess. The flavors are out of this world!! They have a limited selection of single serve, most is sold in pints. They also sell out often. I mean just memorable ice cream. My husband had a ice cream sandwich Omggg so delicious!

I recently ordered a tub of Kooki Monster via Ubereats. First time trying this place out! My initial impression just from the packaging (thanking me for supporting locally and addressing me by name) was super refreshing and sweet. The ice cream is AMAZING lol. The pieces of cookie in the ice cream are deliciously paired with the vibrant blue vanilla flavored ice cream so yummy! I love trying out our local restaurants! I'll definitely be a reoccurring customer. Thank you Sweet Melody :)

BELIEVE THE STARS PEOPLE, BELIEVE THE STARS! Initially, I wasn't prepared for the omnipresent glory this ventanita in West Kendall was equipped with but I guess that's how this story starts. My girl ordered a pint of Cosmic Brownie as she returned to her pizza at the brewery two doors down. I wasn't really in the mood for ice cream but who turns down a bite out of a decadent pint literally placed in front of you? Not many. I made my way to this paradoxical window and picked the most obscure flavor I could spot on their marker board: Manchego Ice Cream with a Balsamic glaze? That sounds affluent; just my style. I dug in as I enjoyed my Belgian tripel at the brewery next door. Once I got a grasp of their social media, I realized their daily menu variates with some of the most jam-packed flavors any ice cream shop in Miami has ever come up with. I drove across town the week after for some pints knowing that based on the recommendations mixed with my gut instincts, I'd be sure to grasp a savory treat. Dude, that Baklava is out of control. I literally almost shed a tear of sheer bliss. It's everything I imagined and more. It's the most perfect ice cream flavor I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. I always thought Ben & Jerry's was the best ice cream money could ever buy but these folks blew it out of the park. I can't wait for them to be nationwide so everyone could taste what a delightful treat they prepare. How cute is it that they even make flavors based on the zodiac calendar? No matter the choice, you're in for a treat. All their ingredients are listed on the label ensuring a wholesome treat in every pint. I can't rant and rave enough about this place. So my friend told me about this ice cream place and how her husband and herself make tons of trip here for it. I looked at their Instagram and everything looked so yummy. I decided today to finally give it a try and wow I AM AMAZED and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Such a hidden gem for sure in the heart of Kendall. If you're the type who loves tons of different variety of ingredients mixed into your ice cream then this is definitely the place you've been searching your entire life! I love how there are so many flavors and unique ones too; as well as seasonal ones. You order 3 pint of ice cream and the 4th one is free. Each pint is $10. Upon arrival you notice in big Sweet Melody's Crafter Ice Cream with a window on the left called "The Ventanita" which is where you order your ice cream. Pretty unique just like their ice creams. You can either check on their Instagram as they changed flavors every day and make new fresh batches as well. So don't expect to find them everyday which is like a Russian Roulette if you're lucky enough to find your favorite flavor because they're that delicious! Love it that they have a tiny bell or as they put it "You can ring my be-ee-ell, ring my bell" after reading that you know you're singing the song for sure! I was happy to see they were going above & beyond to practice social distancing precautions... 1. You do not go inside their establishment. 2. You must ring the bell in order to get an employee to help you out which separates you 6 feet apart with their employees. 3. There are 6 feet markers to practice social distance and they enforced it very well. 4. I was provided with a digital form of payment and receipt was texted. 5. Customer service are beyond helpful, knowledgeable & so kind! Overall an amazing great experience for a first time! I ordered 2 Kooki Monster, 1 Strawberry Fields Whenever and 1 Zoe's Apple Cake. Mind blown by all 3 flavors! Best part of it, some ice creams leave you with a weird dairy taste at the back of your throat well I can eat an entire pint and it won't happen here! So addicted to this place now, can't wait to try new flavors! Advice: try to go early as flavors run out very quickly. I couldn't get a hold of the Belgian Chocolate :( Highly recommended for ice cream lover and definitely will be returning very soon!

This place is amazing!! Hands down, the best ice cream in West Kendall. The person who is in charge of making the ice cream here makes it with a lot of love. Whoever came up with these flavors combinations, I want to personally thank them. I would recommend everyone to swing by and give them a try. You won't regret it!

Absolutely love the unique flavors that represent the Latin community in miami so well. My favorite had to be the coquito! Close second was the dulce de leche con pedazos de alfajores (my mouth is watering just thinking about it.) the guava was also yummy and would try again. However, idk who or why someone would add balsamic to the strawberry ice cream giving it such a sour taste. I was disappointed when I tried it bc it's not what I expected. Especially bc if they had listed balsamic vinegar as an ingredient on the tv menu I would not have chosen that flavor. It wasn't until I tasted it at home and saw it was listed as an ingredient on the pint that I realized this terrible mistake. I'll be going back, but deff checking the ingredients on the pints before I leave.

Just happened to come across sweet melody. I've heard so much about it but had not had the chance to try them out. I am happy I found them! The ice creams are not only delicious but also very creative with the flavors. I tried the zodiac flavor and it was delicious! And I love that they pretty much make all added candies and use local products like the chocolate. So during this Covid situation you come to the ventanita and ring the doorbell. Ask for your flavor which is posted on the dry erase outside, pay and go. I thought this was fast and very convenient. Can't wait to try more!

Loved this ice cream parlor. The abuelas flan was amazing , not too sweet but also very creamy. The cinnamon waffle cone was out of this world. Would've loved to sit down and eat it but it doesn't matter. Love to support my local small businesses in the area.

This is not a joke, this ice cream is LIFE CHANGING! You will never settle for Publix ice cream again. Not only are the descriptions mouth watering the actually ice cream is insanely delicious. I ordered the fluffernutterbutter and hella nutella pints. They didn't stand a chance in my house. Fluffernutter is a peanut butter ice cream with creamy marshmallow fluff and nutter butter cookie pieces. Hella nutella is a nutella ice cream with delicious roasted hazelnuts and brownie chunks.

This is a hidden gem! Their pints are so addicting!! My husband and I are obsessed! Every time we go, we buy 3 pints and get 1 for free. Each pint is $10. It will take everything in you to stop yourself from leaving with more, trust me!!! Every single pint is 1 of 1 and that's what I love about Sweet Melody's, the element of surprise every time I take a spoon! Once you realize it, you're finished with the pint and are on to the next one. I appreciate and look forward to the daily menu posted on Sweet Melody's IG account bright an early every day. However, you must act on it fast because they sell out fast and the flavors rotate, so it might take a few days (or even week or two) before it's back in the menu. The staff at the window is welcoming; if you're unsure about which flavor to pick, they'll help you decide! The owner is hands on, so don't be surprised he might be the one taking your order! The Ice cream is fresh and the consistency is perfect. I was way overdue for this review. Located next to Strange Beast, this is honestly the best ice cream around! Walk up to La Ventanita, their menu is packed which such delicious variety, it's hard to choose, but we are in luck because they offer a buy 3 pints get one free! For sure time to indulge. I love all the flavors and I mean all of them. If I had to say my top favs are the "drop the gun, grab the cannoli" , the "chocolate almond croissant ", "I'll be baklava" and their classic vanilla, but again all the flavors are a sweet hit in my book. Shout out to the owner Mike and his staff! They are all amazing!

The skies opened up and the angels rejoiced when I learned that Sweet Melody had opened up a mere 5 minutes from home. We were finally able to go by last night. We hightailed over there to try to make it before they closed at 9PM. I later learned from the owner that if he's there working on the shop or anything, he'll serve customers. So even if it's after closing time, it doesn't hurt to swing by. We were initially just getting a pint, but then noticed that if you buy 3, you get one free. Soooo, we're fatties and went with that option. For the sake of research of course. After some back & forth with my husband trying to decide, (plus Mike's incredible patience with us) we chose our 4 flavors. Tiramisu- Yummo creamy, delicious with bits of lady fingers mixed in. Cinnamon Roll- Cinnamon ice cream with Knaus Berry rolls! Strawberry Fields Whenever- My favorite! Crazy delish! Kookie Monster- Blue vanilla with both Oreos & chocolate chip cookies. Now, I'm not a fan of blue anything. I don't eat blue m&m's, blue frosting, etc. The ice cream was really yummy. I get that it's blue like Cookie Monster on Sesame Street, I just don't like blue tongue. :))) I'm sure that kids love the blue, but I wish there was a non-blue option as well. I can't wait to try other flavors! Plus I won't have to travel far to get my fix. So happy that more and more small businesses are migrating to my neck of the woods. Whoo hoo!

One of the best if not THE best local ice cream shops. The quality of ice cream cannot compare to anywhere else. You can really taste the quality and craftsmanship they put into each flavor. I stumbled across this ice-cream place by mistake last night. I had heard a lot about it and said what the heck and ordered a pint of their guava and cream cheese. The ice-cream is super flavorful! It literally taste just like guava and cream cheese! Super delicious!

Fantastic ice cream. I am a fan! We live about 35-45 mins out but go every chance we go. They do put their time and effort in creating specialty ice cream. When we don't have time to go we end up at the grocery store and buy any ice cream brand we want to try at that moment and without a doubt still choose Sweet Melody. All their pints are full of deliciousness. Absolutely recommend. It's worth it.

Ice cream is my favorite type of dessert, and this is by far the BEST ice cream I've had. I love the unique flavors. Homemade taste, and you can tell made with love! My favorite flavors include the red velvet, cookie monster, dunk a roos, alfajores & cream, and abuelas flan! The entire concept of having a ventanita to purchase ice cream is such a cool tribute to "Miami" Employees are always friendly. Plus, the story behind the business is truly beautiful. A great reminder to continuously pursue your dreams! The place is named after the owner's daughter, Melody. So happy to have found this place and to be able to support a small business. A must-try for ice cream lovers!

What a great discovery in Kendall! In a sea of shopping centers and chains, there is a dearth of local ice cream shops anywhere in the area. I found this place doing a local search and had a hard time finding it. It is in a small spot, next to a gas station. But it was definitely worth it. This location only sells pints and I think does some custom orders as well. We got pints of churros, mint chip, nutella and chocolate brownies something or other. I don't have the flavor names right, but the chocolate one with brownies was excellent, but was also surprised by the mint chocolate chip. It was both very minty and creamy. It is a bit pricey, though. The pints are $10 each! But, if you buy 3, you get a 4th for free, so it ends up being on par with the high end stuff at the supermarket.

Possibly the best icecream in miami. I come here atleast 2x a month to get my three pints of icecream and it never disappoints. I love how they explore with flavors! My parents favorite is abuelas flan, i would say my favorite is Virgo! Amazing place!!! 10/10

Wow what can I say about this Ice cream, how about amazing, delicious, creamy and always new delicious flavors, where do I even start, I first met mike while he was making ice cream out of his house and keeping it in freezers in his garage, doing events here and there and sometimes heading to any spot that would let him scoop his ice cream, a man with a dream for him and his daughter, fast forward a few and he's done just that make a name for his family, the flavors of his ice creams are nothing short of amazing my personal favorite let it Brie and let me tell you all it is worth a try, certain flavors are seasonal but his always available are fantastic, I hope this place keeps kicking butt and they keep the quality amazing, head over give it a try you will not be disappointed.

So amazingly delicious. I can't believe I recently tried this ice cream. I can taste the effort and passion that's put into these ice cream flavors. I've been to both la ventanita and the shop in palmetto bay. They're both great, but note that you can only get pints at la ventanita (DANGEROUS I KNOW) I'm always tempted to eat the whole thing in one sitting . The photo below is from the palmetto bay shop. Another plus about this company is the story of Sweet Melody and how it came to be. It's so.... sweet :)

Best ice cream in town!!! They have so many creative flavors. If you like guava run don't walk there. Everything about Sweet Melody is to die for, so many good flavors. Make room in the freezer because your going on to get at least 4 flavors. And why not, YOU DESERVE AMAZING ICE CREAM.

I got surprised with Sweet Melody crafted ice cream for my birthday! Kooki Monster, Quarantine & Chill, S'more than a feeling, and the Cancer. My favorite out of the bunch, which is HARD to choose, would be the quarantine & chill. Salted butterscotch ice cream with whoppers, Nestlé crunch, M&Ms, Reese's peanut butter cups & health bar pieces! Seriously all my favorite in a delicious creamy ice cream! The Cancer ice cream was SO interesting too, dark chocolate ice cream and honey comb pieces. Highly recommended!

We tried four flavors: kooki monster, hazelnut, guava & cream cheese and dunkaroo. All four were delicious. Took advantage of the buy 3 pints get 1 free deal. You could definitely taste how fresh their ice cream is. Give Sweet Melody a try!

Truthfully I was not aware of Sweet Melody until earlier today when my cousin mentioned it to me and actually brought four pints of their ice cream home for dessert after dinner today. From what I can tell this dairy confectioners extraordinaire is full scale, meaning they are not your typical ice cream shop. Sweet Melody actually handles the pasteurization process for all their dairy products and ice creams. They do not use prepackaged ice cream mix. They also use awesome ingredients in all their ice creams. All ice creams are made in their shop and that is the only way they do it. For dessert this evening we sampled the Kooki Monster, Guava and Cream Cheese, True Pistachio and Once You Go Black Chocolate. Happy to report that all of the flavors I tried this evening were amazing. This has to be some of the creamiest ice cream I have had in a very long while. No joke, when you dig into the ice cream you actually see reasonably sized pieces of Pistachio crumbles, Oreo cookies, chocolate pieces, guava sauce and cookie dough! None of this mass produced type items you get at Carvel or Baskin Robbins and I hate to say Haagen Dazs. I really enjoyed myself and I had to control myself to not walk off wIth the Guava and Cream Cheese Ice cream. That was my favorite and the pistachio was next runner up but they were really all very good. LOL! If you really want treat yourself to something different make sure you stop by and support this locally owned small business. You won't be disappointed! Enjoy and Bon Appétit!

I am in love with this place! I've had it twice already and all the flavors I've tried I've enjoyed so much! There are such weird combinations that make your mouth water when you taste it! The one in the photo is a pumpkin pie flavor and I don't like pumpkin but this one was so good I am so glad my friend tried it! I had a picture of my favorite flavor called Kookie Monster but it didn't come out right but I promise you it is the most amazing turn of cookies and cream I've ever had! I will definitely be coming back plenty of more times continuing to try their seasonal flavors as well as their new and old ones! The service was super nice the girl at the window answered all of our questions and let us be super slow in our decisions without rushing! If you're trying to find a new ice cream place that has odd flavors you should 100% check out this place.

Once again does not disappoint sweet melody's ice cream is the best ice cream in the MIA! Creamy, rich, unique, and BOMB DOT COM! I want to always get them all haha. Please do not hesitate to try their ice cream it's too good to pass (;
