Stumbled onto this thai street food place after having some coffee at nearby Electric Mudd a few months ago, so took the opportunity to try this cuisine. The food here is very good, the ambiance takes a bit of getting used to, feels a bit like you are outdoors in the streets but indoor service. One thing to note is the PUDU Bellabot server robot that brings you your drinks. Nice touch, quite gimmicky. Late lunch on a Saturday, was at 50% capacity, but the crowd was hungry for this food. The $3 lunch appetizers were very good, if not small. I feel that these are made from frozen, not made in-house, hence the pricing. However, their khao soi chicken is very good. Even mild, its still got heat. The bone-in chicken is unique, but it is cooked to a perfect softness that it falls off the bone. The noodles, especially the crispy, stands up to the curry soup base. An excellent kao soy from the many decades I have been eating this thai dish. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Definitely a place to visit to get your thai food fix!

Google
I really wanted some Pad Thai and I also heard this place has robot waiters and I wanted to see it, so I checked both off my list here! They have a great menu at reasonable prices and a little boba tea stand too. The style inside makes you feel like you’ve found a great street food place! The little cat robot waiter is SO CUTE! It was a good time, I’d go back!

The kitchen closes at 8.45 pm on a weekday and the last done is to exit before 9 pm. We were there at 8.20 pm on a Thursday night. The waitress told us before hand we would have to rush. We were thankful foe the heads up. The food was great Our order : Avocado roll - the roll was good., but the ginger and Wasabi were bland., Veggie potsticker - about 10 in number ..small size. They were hot and tasted great. Veggies egg roll & Veggies fried rice with tofu - a bit mild., but the spice powder on the table greatly helped . Overall ., very happy with the food. Good quality. Good service. My kiddo loved getting the water from the robot.

Google
They have a cute little robot that brings you water!! my goodness the food was absolutely delicious. Spicy kimchi dumplings are to die for be aware. If you do get the noodles, you will be slurping and you will make a mess of your shirt. Service was super friendly and personable.

Google
Fantastic BYOB spot for a quick bite to eat of authentic Asian food. I found the Thai dishes, specifically the green curry and tom kha gai were traditional and some of the absolute best i've had in the city. The papaya salad reminded me of Bangkok and was delectably spicy. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Will absolutely be back.

Google
This restaurant was very quirky and cute ! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the cute cat robot that brings you your drinks! The food itself was pretty good! I really recommend the wings and the veggie egg rolls! We also got the beef noodles and the Thai rice! The portions are big here, so if your family is like mine, you will probably have extra leftovers. I will definitely come back here again!

Google
Awesome staff!! And they use a robot cat waiter, food is amazing, awesome atmosphere!!! They are a HIDDEN GEM They’re always having tons of promos!! Like a BOGO on chicken teriyaki rice bowl (really delicious)

Google

Yelp
I've been sleeping!! This place is so cute and very delicious and I have no idea where I've been. So many options can be a red flag but in this case, the food does not disappoint. Delicious chive dumplings, Thai and Korean options that are full of flavor and include plenty of attention to detail. Quick service and friendly staff. I've ordered delivery/takeout from here twice and need to definitely visit in person for a proper experience. I'm also eager to try the boba options! Excellent spot setting a high standard in a competitive neighborhood. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Dined in on a Monday night, Oct 21 2024. Pros: big portion, nice service! Cons: the food. I really wanted to like the pad kee Mao I ordered but it was too watery and salty. There is no wokhei (the smokey flavor that comes with stir frying on high heat). The chicken was not consistent either - some pieces were tender, others were so tough I spat it out. Overall just felt like I ate a whitewashed microwave dinner of some sorts.

Yelp
Very kitschy and yummy too - hard to do both! I had too many things I wanted to try, I'll definitely have to go back for the others. I had the pepper steak and a milk tea, lots of flavor. It has street food stall vibes and they use a robot to deliver the drinks. it was a surprise when I saw it and then it was fun to watch every other table's reactions when they saw it for the first time too. Very cute. They had a holiday 2-for-1 teriyaki chicken special that really spoke to my boyfriend who likes to eat at a volume discount! :D Good value, lots of choices, yummy, and a little unique.

Yelp
Outdoor seating is always a plus. Especially in perfect weather end of August. The bbq wanton has generous portions of wanton and bbq. The broth was just OK The moo yang is a good marinated pork sweet and rich in flavor. You need to pair it with the savory broth of the wanton to kill the sweetness I do have an issue with the gratuity upfront - thus it's only 3 stars otherwise I would have given it 4.

Yelp
ok, YUM! everything here is delicious and honestly looks stunning even though they're not trying. thai food must just be intrinsically beautiful, at least it is to me. i wasn't super hungry but i was cold, so i ordered the tom kha soup with chicken. they served it to me with tofu, and also forgot one of the drinks i ordered, but that's the only reason im docking a star because the food (both mine and my friends') tasted fantastic. the soup was a little sour in a rly yummy way & im still thinking about it days later. i'm also sure if i asked they would have switched my order with no issues. i rly want to come back and try some of the other options- they have a ton! i love the little robot that comes around to deliver ur drinks& food to ur table, and also just love the vibes inside. it's pretty casual but it's also a nice place to hang out.

Yelp
Great food, quick service, huge plates packed with flavor, and a great price! When you get inside, feel free to take a seat. The robot will bring you water. You can order food from the QR code on your table and if you're sitting with a group you can each order and pay separately from your phone. Food came out nice and quick and everything was delicious!

Yelp
This spot is affordable and tasty. The portions here are huge and packed with flavor for the price. The staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Just be prepared for a wait during busy hours. Highly recommend the kao mun gai if you're into chicken dishes.

Yelp
Overall Thoughts: Located right off the Western Blue Line stop, Sweet Rice is a casual Thai restaurant with ample indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. I especially enjoyed the Basil Duck Rice entree and Sweet Rice Durian dessert. The menu is quite expansive though, and I'd be happy to come back to try more dishes! Food I tried: - Chicken Satay: A solid appetizer! Peanut sauce was creamy, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. - Gui Chai: These made good appetizers too with a well-fried, crispy exterior and soft interior. - Basil Duck Rice: This was super delicious; I'd definitely get it again. It was sautéed perfectly with deep pockets of flavor-- the duck is tender and juicy, the fried egg is crispy, the rice is soft and flavorful. - Vegan Duck Noodle: This was my least favorite dish out of everything we ordered. The noodles weren't very flavorful, and the vegan duck was a let down-- It's made differently than the ones typical of NYC Thai restaurants, so it just didn't hit as much. - Sweet Rice Durian: As a durian fanatic, I loved this dessert-- it's a unique one that you won't find on most other Thai menus in Chicago (other than at Sticky Rice, which is owned by the same family). It was quite soupy, and the combination of the warm coconut sauce, the creamy durian, and the sticky rice that instantly soaked up all the coconut and durian flavors was just perfect. Split between 3 people, the price was ~$25/pp including tax/tip, which was good for the amount of food we got. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5 Food: 4.4/5 Ambience: 4.7/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5

Yelp
My interest in Sweet Rice Asian Kitchen came after a search of restaurants within a radius of my residence offering delivery. At the time, Sweet Rice Asian Kitchen happened to be the one that captured my interest and ranked number thirteen during my search. On an evening where I just wanted to lounge around in my pajamas without driving anywhere in my vehicle around Chicago, I ordered online via yelp with Grubhub delivery. Since I am vegetarian, I was drawn to a few of the vegan options on the menu, particularly the Vegan BBQ Pork Noodles! Oh honey, the sight of it with all of its features literally made my mouth salivate. I admit, I am weak when it comes to anything barbecue! There, I said it, tehehe. And I loved that there were spice levels because as one who is not fond of spicy hot foods, it played an influence in me ordering as well. It took thirty-five minutes from the time my order was acknowledged by Grubhub to the arrival of it at my residence. A shout out to the Grubhub delivery driver for making that happen in that astonishing time. I could not resist moaning after eating each delicious forkful, or um, slurpful! The vegan barbecue had a sweet taste that I simply enjoyed and anticipate having with brown rice in the foreseeable future. I finished this satisfyingly good meal with a smirk on my face, and a... belch, tehehe. With all aforementioned, I would gladly order from Sweet Rice Asian Kitchen again whether it be in-restaurant order, or online via yelp with Grubhub delivery. One of the things I discovered after it caught my interest online via yelp, is that I have driven by it numerous times along N Western Ave. Service: 5 | Atmosphere: N/A | Food: 5 Recommendations: Vegan duck noodle, Vegan BBQ pork noodle, Vegan BBQ pork rice, Basil vegan duck rice, Veggie potsticker, Veggie egg rolls, or Vegan kimchi dumplings ~ Always be grateful. ~ Thomas G

Yelp
One of my favorite places when I come to Chicago to visit my bff, they have the best food! Also service is fast and everyone is amazing and very nice. The restaurant is super cute as well. I definitely will keep coming by each time I'm there in Chicago.

Yelp
the food is incredible every time and the robot is so cute. get the kimchi fried rice and Khao Soi Chicken. also the service sizes are huge

Yelp
I got take out from here but I was really surprised that it came out this good. The chicken was so juicy and with the sauce omg, I'm drooling rn just thinking about it. I would definitely go back to eat this same bowl or try something else.

Yelp
I've been here before and I recall an average or even below average experience. Therefore, I was hesitant to return, but I'm so happy I did! The menu has been revamped and I really enjoyed the food today. The table got fried tofu and cheese ragoons for starters, both were 10/10. The tofu were perfect bite sized crunchy pieces paired with a sweet sauce. The ragoons were fried to golden brown and were so delicious. I got the bbq pork Thai fried rice and it was packed with flavorful ingredients. I also got to taste the chicken pad sew ewe and it was equally as delicious. The service was average and the ambiance casual. Overall, amazing food. I love the new menu and I can't wait to return!

Yelp
My go-to take away for Thai and some Asian fusion--Always delicious and good quality/value for cost.

Yelp
Super cute atmosphere and right next to the train station! The service was super friendly and food came out quickly. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.

Yelp
Summary: Strong variety of Asian cuisines and dishes, all executed well. My star of the show was the coconut ice cream, and I am making this review almost directly as a result of it. Probably a top 3 Chicago dessert to me. The good: The staff is friendly, the amenities are clean, portions were reasonably large, and the service is quick. They offered us a free Thai Ice Cream since we ordered so much (though it was a bit over-frozen, so tough to enjoy). Again, the coconut ice cream was chef's kiss. Would love to get it again. The bad: Not bad per say, but there were certain dishes that I expect to be crisped a bit more (like the kimchi fried rice in the photo). It's served in a stone bowl, but the rice was a bit too moist to crisp on the bottom. The ugly: Nothing to note!

Yelp
Okay this place was kinda a sleeper hit for me, tucked under the western blue line stop, I was really pleasantly surprised to have a hearty, absolutely scrumptious, comforting meal at this casual spot! I had the kha soi chicken, which came with toppings of red onion, cilantro, pickled vegetables that had a lovely tang, and a big squeeze of lime, and BIG chunks of tender chicken. The sweet sticky rice with banana and beans was SO SO SO good, if you are a sticky rice believer I highly recommend.

Yelp
Stumbled into Sweet Rice, and we're fans. There's a wide selection of thai street food and main dishes to choose from (with special appearances by taiwanese and korean favorites). We stuck with thai and were impressed by the flavor and portion sizes. The curry noodles packed a punch and the squid was super tender and well-executed! Will be back! Yelp
My second time at Sweet Rice and I wasn't disappointed. For appetizers, we started off with Chicken Satay and Chicken Potstickers. The Satay was very tasty, marinated chicken slices were perfectly grilled stacked on a plate not on skewers like most restaurants with dipping sauce and a cucumber salad. The Potstickers were lined up perfectly on a small platter with dipping sauce on the side, they had a nice crunch to them. I ordered the Basil Chicken. It was very tasty, with lots of red & green peppers and enough to take home for later. My friend ordered Kao Gai Tod which is fried battered chicken, cilantro, and sweet chili sauce. It was a good-sized order, she wound up taking almost the whole thing home after getting full on the appetizers. It's a nice clean palace, including the bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate your every whim.

Yelp
Ordered delivery which may have been a mistake. I got the beef and noodles (hot spice level) and it wasn't spicy at all. It was honestly really sweet. The Tom Kah soup I got medium spicy, and again it wasn't spicy but this was the best thing I ordered. We also got the kichi fried rice and kimchi pot stickers which my husband liked but I found both to be pretty bland.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
Exceptionally authentic and spicy Thai food. The flavors are incredible. They also have a little robot that brings you your drinks. The order is really simple for lunch. Get the Tom Kha Chicken and a Thai Milk Tea and you're all set. Don't overthink it

Yelp
This restaurant was very good and I felt very authentic. When I ordered Khao Soi I got bone in chicken and the chicken just fell off the bone, it was delicious. The two was delicious and I loved the Roti Choco Milo. Service was friendly and I felt like they really took the time to make the food delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was also really cool, the decor was like a street food booth in Thailand.

Yelp
Small dishes, felt like Asian fusion (mostly Thai) dim sum or tapas style. Shared grilled pork salad, wonton soup, salted cream mango smoothie, and Thai shaved ice. Sister said the grilled pork tasted like Korean BBQ beef bulgogi. I thought it had a flavor like processed hot dog. We liked its seasoning. The wonton soup was bland, but I liked the garlic in the wontons. Sister said the salted cream mango smoothie tasted artificial, but I liked it. I did not like my Thai shaved ice, probably since I'm not used to the toppings, i.e. the jellies and fruit. Ice had a pink syrup with a familiar taste I couldn't place, but my sister thought it was condensed milk. Spacious and wheelchair accessible inside, even the restroom. Found street parking nearby on a side street.

Yelp
The service was like talking to a demon and everything horrible I got sooooo dam sick I'm puked on the food ps I broke my ankle there and that I needed to move or I will be kick out but I would have been happy getting kicked out please don't go there

Yelp
I got the mussel fritter (5/5), the khao mun gai (reminds me of hainanese chicken) 5/5, the beef noodle soup 4/5, and the Vietnamese iced coffee (4/5). I really liked the vibe of this place, it has a casual street food style and is reminiscent of hawker stalls from Singapore or Thailand. Really enjoyed both the mussel fritter and the khao mun gai and would get both again! The beef noodle soup was too salty for me and the Vietnamese iced coffee had a nice strong coffee flavor, but wasn't quite sweet enough. Overall, worth a visit to try though!
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Chicken satay - amazing! Honestly the best peanut sauce I have ever had. Bao - amazing! Sweet chili chicken - too much fish oil taste for my personal taste. It wasnt awful, just smelled and had the after taste of catfood. Not sure I would come out of my way to try this place again, but I would for sure recommend the chicken satay to ANYONE.

Yelp
Yesterday we explored the Buck Town. There's an Asian fusion spot that has a variety of selections including: Beef Noodles Roti BBQ Vegan Tofu Spring Rolls Tom Kha Soup (my fave) Ramen *There was even a robot that brought us waters and boba teas! #Thai #Korean #Vietnamese #Japanese #Chicago #TheWindyCity #Bucktown #OuzoAdventures

Yelp
One of those places you pass by all the time and then wonder why the heck it took you so long to finally go in. Amazing eats here with lots of veggie options which always makes me feel right at home. I started with dumplings and the bamboo shiitake salapao (steamed bun), perfection. Then for main I opted for the tom kha soup with tofu, which is a hot and sour coconut soup with mushrooms, cilantro and flavor galore. Just a really comforting meal honestly. They have quite a mix of Asian fare too so you can go a more dim sum route or Thai (or both if you're greedy like me). Love this spot and it'll be one of my regulars now.

Yelp
Wow this spot is really good!!! This spot was put up about 3 months ago. It is right off of the blue line and the Western exit. Sometimes I pass by this restaurant in the morning while walking my dog. I have been wanting to try it for a while and the menu looks exotic yet delicious. I was coming back from a trip from o'hare and decide to go ahead and pick up lunch on my walk back to my apartment. I ordered my food online while on the train. I got the Korean spicy chicken and a mango smoothie with boba. I was very satisfied with the ease of the online ordering system and the description of the menu items. When I arrive my items were not ready but that was my fault because I scheduled it too far out.. The hostess was great about getting my drink and making sure that my items were prepared timely. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a pretty dope sound system. They had a separate waiting area and also room for people to stretch out if dining inside. To the food: I believe that my choice of order was really well selected. I was happy that my entree included plenty of chicken and fresh vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised at all the spice that was in my meal. I will say that this meal was way more spicier than I anticipated, however ver it was really flavourful. I would suggest that if you cannot handle real spice, you do not get this menu item. The amount of food was reasonable for the price and I did have leftovers the next day. My mango smoothie was fire and I tore it up on my walk back home. I definitely recommend this spot and I will be back nice fusion of different Asian items available for purchase and the prices were reasonable.

Ashutosh S.

Yelp
Came in for a casual lunch, and we were so impressed by the quality of food for the price. Favorite dishes were the Roti Karee and the Korean Spicy Chicken. Both tasted incredible and the portions were generous too. The kimchi fried rice and kimchi dumplings were just alright though. Also, speedy service and cute ambiance during Christmas time!

Yelp
I've been going here for a couple years now and the food is pretty good. With that said the service is pretty bad. I'm not sure what the issue is but I repeatedly have sat down feeling the person serving me really doesn't want to be there. I've routinely waited 20 minutes or longer to place my order even when the restaurant is relatively empty. This place is good for take out but don't dine in.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
The dishes, service, ambiance...all solid, but what give this place 5 stars for me are the desserts! Tried the coconut ice cream and nam khang sai (Thai shaved ice) and they were both absolutely phenomenal. If you're into Asian desserts (or any kind of desserts, for that matter), you won't find a better spot than Sweet Rice. Of the main dishes we got, my favorite was the garlic chicken. A very simple dish consisting of chicken breast pieces smothered in slightly sweet garlic over rice, topped with an over easy fried egg. Break up that fried egg and let the yolk run over everything...perfection. The desserts are everything you could ask for to finish out the meal. The coconut ice cream is topped with corn, peanuts, palm seeds, condensed milk, and jackfruit. The nam khang sai (Thai shaved ice) is topped with condensed milk, jackfruit, red beans, jelly, palm seeds, coconut, and syrup. If any of those ingredients don't sound appealing to you, be adventurous and try either - or both - of these desserts! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Looking for a new Thai place, we found Sweet Rice. Parking can be an issue. Side streets are all permit but we did squeeze in a couple blocks down on Western fortunately. The atmosphere is that of a diner and probably best for a lunch or snack. Our group does not eat pork beef or chicken so we had much less to choose from but we're pleasantly surprised to find a view vegetarian options available. We ordered and shared shiitake amd bamboo shoot sticky buns, shrimp shu mai, Tepanyaki, tom Yum soup, grilled squid and mussels fritter. I was surprised not to find vegetarian or seafood noodles dishes but perhaps what I'm used to is actually more American Thai than real Thai? No Pad See Ew or Pad Thai here. I was a little bit confused about how to order for vegetarians or seafood eaters. There were more appetizers available than entrees so that's what we ordered. The real hit of our meal was the new robot rolling around serving tables. It brought out water and food although it's not to be used for dirty dishes. It was very cute and only arrived two weeks ago. I can see it becoming more of a draw for people. There were quite a few good looking desserts and special drinks that we left for another day. Would definitely recommend this Thai "street food" restaurant although it is not quite street food priced. Expect to pay quite a bit if you want to sample a variety of things like we did. Our lunch bill for four was around $75.

Yelp
I know this is a Thai restaurant but you need to try the kimchi fried rice. Great staff and great service. BYOB is just the icing on the cake.

Yelp
Amazing food!!!! Must try!!! Service is phenomenal! I recommend this place with no hesitation.

Yelp
I was walking around the Bucktown neighborhood and the bright orange exterior of Sweet Rice caught my eye. I followed my curiosity and decided to give it a try - and I sure am glad I did! I called my order in for pick-up and had it prepped and ready to go within 20 minutes - quick, easy, and fantastic customer service. I ordered a passion fruit refresher with boba, the fried tofu appetizer, and the vegan bbq pork noodle (dry and with medium spice). Each dish I had was absolutely spectacular! For starters, the passion fruit refresher was - as the title indicates - refreshing! There was a great balance of flavors between the passionfruit flavor and that great chew and sweetness from the boba. The fried tofu was crisp-to-perfection and the combination of the cucumber/crushed peanuts/cilantro/sweet chili sauce took it to the next level! I was enamored with the perfectly sized triangle bites and how deliciously they melded with that sauce. I wish I could make tofu this good at home. HIGHLY recommend this appetizer for my fellow tofu lovers. Lastly, the vegan bbq pork noodle was epically delicious! Between the succulent flavor of the vegan bbq pork, the crunch of the bok ahoy, the perfectly cooked (and spicy) noodles - this dish ended up being a complete homerun. I would say the portion of these noodles would be perfect for a meal and leftovers - but it was so gosh darn good I ate it all. Did I regret my overly-filled belly after-the-fact? Absolutely not - it was worth every single bite. I highly recommend Sweet Rice to anyone in the neighborhood that is looking for some tasty Thai street food. 10/10 will be coming back again to try out the other vegan/vegetarian friendly options!
google avatar

Lani C.

Yelp
The amount of love I have for Sweet Rice is indescribable. All i can say is the flavors are incredible, food came perfectly packaged and in surprisingly good conditions despite a 20 minute travel time, and portions easily lasted us for two meals. Highly recommend the roti karee curry. It's technically an appetizer, but it's really good as a whole meal, especially if you have a side of rice. I got a side of soup (+$1) to go with my bamee dry noodles so I could experience both options. The soup on its own isn't strong, but with the stronger flavors of everything else, it was the perfect palate cleanser. The noodles definitely went great with the soup and doesn't fall short on its own either.

Yelp
Very VERY good Thai food. It reminds me of Malaysian hawker food dishes as well. We loved the food so much that we got it delivered for two days in a row. Would recommend the following based on our two meals so far! Will be back for more. 1) Khao mun gai (can give Portland's Nong's a run for their money). Chicken pieces are sliced to 0.5cm thick, so you get more bites and it gives a better mouth feel. Appreciate the details! 2. khao soi 3. Fried chives cake (Malaysians or Singaporeans may be reminded of "lo bak gou" / radish cake). Comes served with a thinner version of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) 4. Roti and curry 5. Moo ping (grilled pork with five spice sauce) 6. Mussel omelet (again Malaysians or Singaporeans may be reminded of "orhjien" / oyster omelet) 7. Beef noodle soup (tons of protein! Thanks for not skimping on portion size. Reminds me of Taiwanese beef noodles but with a spicier profile)
google avatar

Kesanee S.

Yelp
Chicken basil is so good, love it! The mussel fritter is a bit too hard to chew, so different than Hoy Tod in Thailand. The boat noodle I had in Thailand was thicker but from this place was lighter and clear but big portion.

Yelp
Just moved to this neighborhood and was craving Asian food takeouts for dinner. Food arrived promptly. Sorry - no photos because I was so hungry that I ate all the food before taking pictures! I ordered the Taiwanese pork rice and bubble tea. Both were prepared authentically, and food was tasty. Like what one of the reviews said, this seems to be one of those places that you may overlook all the time but once you try it, you wonder why you haven't ordered / eaten from here earlier... Will definitely order takeouts from here again!

Dan S.

Yelp
Really good authentic Thai cuisine. The owners/staff are very friendly and inviting, great experience all around.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! Great value and portions for the price. Very clean. Good Vegan/Vegetarian options and meat options aka best of both worlds! We had the kimchi dumplings and gui chi (chive pancakes) for starters, both were very flavorful. The Tom kha tofu was also very good but the vegan bbq pork noodle was definitely the show stopper!! All veggies and food was fresh and made to order. Don't forget your Roti on the side! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I didn't even get a chance to post a picture because how quickly I consumed this meal. Took my order to go , but the place itself is super casual and quick service. The beef noodle soup - amazing , flavored so well . Not too sweet and tons of beef in the bowl , same with the bamee duck. You have to get some dessert though - the roti with their ice cream is amazing . I hope this place sticks around for a long time to come!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I ordered delivery and were absolutely stoked about the quality. We ordered the Kao Mun Gai, Dry Beef Noodle, and Ka Nom Krok, with Thai iced tea and a dragon fruit refresher for drinks. Kao Mun Gai: there was SO much chicken and the rice was almost sticky, such a yummy combo. The sauces it came with were also delicious; both were spicy and sweet, complementing the flavors of the dish perfectly. This dish comes with sliced cucumber on the side and cilantro/some sort of seasoning on top as a garnish. 5/5 Dry Beef Noodle: my boyfriend says this dish was delicious, he loved the intense flavors. There was a good amount of beef and he found it notably tender. The only critique he had was to maybe add some veggies to break up the intensity. 4/5 Ka Nom Krok: these have 3 different toppings- coconut, green onion, and corn. I've ordered these before and they're always super soft and gooey. A bit pricey considering you only get 6 of them, but they're so sweet and satiating it's easy to share or save them for later. 4/5 Dragonfruit Refresher: I added boba, duh. It came with some small chunks of dragon fruit which was fun. It's very sweet which isn't usually my favorite thing, but the flavor was so yummy I finished it anyway. In my boyfriend's words, "it's like drinking a lollipop". 5/5 Thai Iced Tea: boyfriend added boba to this and he loved it! 5/5 TL;DR: Great food, the drinks were a wonderful (dare I say necessary) addition to the meal, and food was delivered in sturdy packaging.

Yelp
I got takeout from Sweet Rice and was sorely disappointed. I ordered the beef panang curry and while the curry itself had a decent flavor, the beef cubes were very unappetizing and there were no bell peppers served in the curry as they normally are at other Thai restaurants. Definitely not returning here, the curry has put me off.

Yelp
This place has the BEST food. Sit down or takeout and there boba tea bar is great. Garlic chicken and curry chicken are A+. Highly recommend. Right off western blue line.

Yelp
This is a great noodle shop. Tasty, fast, and not your average thai menu. Looks like they will have a rolled ice cream program in the summer that I am excited for as well. I love their wheat noodles. Their khao soi hits just right and they nail the spice. I recommend exploring the menu. I haven't been disappointed yet.
