Update: I want to thank management for making things right. I don’t like to leave negative reviews and think that businesses deserve credit when credits due. Yesterday, I bought a steak salad with barely any steak in it. You can count the not even handful of pieces. It was $20, so I ordered a steak bowl and basically got a salad bowl.

When I actually get what I ordered (order in person at the counter), I love sweetgreen. However, if you order through the app or uber eats, just know your order WILL be wrong. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a correct meal when ordering online. I have had missing chicken, rice, dressing, apples, cheese and more. Not sure if they run out and just decide to not replace it with anything, thinking the customer won’t notice, but it is a complete waste of money to pay over $20 for a bowl with a couple pieces of broccoli and carrot. I hope Sweetgreen improves their to-go ordering process, I will not risk it again.

Hard to go wrong with a sweetgreen salad. Always fresh and tasty, just wish the portions were a bit bigger given the average price.

I don’t live close but anytime I am out this direction I have to stop by to get a bowl. This location every time the employees are so unfriendly and cheap on what they put in the bowls. I ordered today 2 bowls and a kids menu, at the end I asked why the kids menu didn’t have rice? She said I can add it, umm that’s part of the meal, she put the smallest amount on and threw it on top of everything else which this isn’t how it should be. The Parmesan crisps will be soggy by the time I get home and the lack of ingredients for $9 is disappointing, last time they didn’t do the cucumbers! They are strict with no substitutions without charging more, this is not ok, then I asked for a bag which they are out of????? So now carrying 3 things out which as carrying the top one fell! This is not ok and will not be back to this location! For these kind of prices they need to do better or won’t be in business, and no one was in line so it wasn’t a rush thing, the employee was lazy and unfriendly!

I continue to be disappointed in my experience here…again and again, I’ve tried a few times but service gets worse. They were out of mostly 60%of toppings and the chicken was not in any hot water like they store it on counter things were not warm like they usually are. The employee was rude and scooped out the topping with his hands because they didn’t go to the bank to replace it. Do better sweet greens!

Service could be a lot better, I have to drive 35 min to come here and the staff make it seem like they are doing me a huge favor by taking my order. The worse part is being hit with an option to tip at the end! It seems really disrespectful when you have to drive 35 min, stand in like to get your order taken, grab your own utensils, and on top of that deal with staff members that don’t even respond to you when you say “thank you”.

Like other one star reviews, I continue to experience inadequate & inconsistent portions, and missing or poorly cooked ingredients. I order around once a month for work, and there is always something wrong with my order. Every time I contact sweetgreen support via online, they make it right, so that's appreciated. However, confronting the workers in store to fix what they made wrong is awkward, as they give you major attitude. Today, my sweet potatoes were soaked through with the water liquid from scraping the bottom of a bin of the slaw, so I asked them to just pick out the soaked potatoes and throw on some fresh ones. The girl took them out with her fingers and her back turned towards me over the trash. She then scooped on the fresh ones and by this time, other workers were giving me the side eye and scoffing. She then throws it up on the counter and walks away. Management seems to be broken at this location specifically. I never see a happy team.

Usually pretty good. The only place really that has healthy choices and custom builds. However, the chicken in real life does not look like the chicken in their marketing. Spicy broccoli also different, not cooked like photo and not spicy. Also got the new fries -- cold and hard, like another review mentioned. My jaw was actually a little sore after eating them. Otherwise, everything does seem pretty fresh. Service always good. The shop itself is super cute and clean. Cool that you can see into the kitchen and see the ingredients. I wish there were more places like sweet green and there were more cities with an accessible sweet green.

Honeymoon is over! They have realized they are the only game in town, so they stopped caring. They are routinely out of one of your ingredients. My guess the problem falls somewhere between trying to save a buck (as they know once you are in the store your only alternative close by is a bad fast food burger at shake shack) and bad order management. Psst, they make software for that. The app has been a problem from day one. Early on there was unexplainable login problems, which I created a new email address just get around this issue. I was happy to see it got resolved. The issue for over a year is that they don't read the comment or add-on in the mobile orders. My wife always adds avocado to the chicken pesto parm. And EVERY TIME they forget to add it. We have gotten wise and check the order before driving away. But it is not just the add-ons. Sometimes it is mixed, has bread or over dressed. Lack of consistency has me looking for alternatives. Sweet Greens needs competition to put them in their place.

Ordered KBBQ Bowl with KBBQ Steak. No Steak. Ordered Chicken Parm Bowl with Chicken. No Chicken. Illiterate or careless, yikes. Uber eats refunded $12. So I still paid $15 for a half made salad. Never again.

I've been a regular here for a little while and the quality and customer service are solid. I've never had an issue or bad experience here. It's a healthy reliable meal i can count on to get me through the day. The kale Caesar is absolutely delicious. What more can I ask for?

Portion sizes here are always sooo small! Even the lettuce. However it's a great location and staff

I've been to many Sweetgreens and this experience was less than acceptable. Upon entering, it was not busy at all. There was one patron waiting to be serviced, and there was only one employee making bowls and ringing customers up, yet there were about 8 employees in the back. I understand shifts and different stations that you may be working, but if you see multiple people in line, it makes zero sense that nobody came to help. Once helped, we got the BBQ chicken salad and a custom bowl. The employee did not offer bread, and did not ask if I wanted the dressing tossed. Every sweetgreen I've been to asks that and when I said I wanted it tossed, she gave me a look of inconvenience. Also, when she gave it back to me, lettuce was falling out and it wasn't even tossed well. Very bad experience.

This is a $21 salad? Really? See pic. Oh, and they were out of bread, offered no substitute. But if you ever wanted an extra piece they'd charge you!

$25 for a bowl with literally only lettuce.. wanted to try the new Korean bbq bowl and I got about 6 prices of steak and 2 pieces of broccoli yall are a joke when it comes to fulfilling delivery orders

I loooove Sweetgreen. Ingredients are so fresh, steak and mushrooms are my favorite. So yummy. HOWEVER, this location seems to always be out of something and I can never make the bowl I want. Often times the employees get my order wrong or almost charge something incorrectly because they are rushing. They seem disorganized in how orders should be prepped. My most recent experience, I was incorrectly almost charged $10 over. The location itself is always clean. I wish the employees would SLOW DOWN to get the orders and charges correct and that they actually restocked things. Then it would be 5 out of 5 P.S. SG, I accept any amount in gift cards for reparations

Wow friendliest most attentive staff here help me with my pick up! I was greeted right away and i came for pick up so it wasnt in the section so i waited, then they found it hidden in the pick up section and taped and bagged for me and added an extra sauce. Very much appreciated!!! Got to enjoy my Hummus Crunch salad modified with hot sauce and caesar dressing cos i was in the mood for kale caesar but with different toppings. The ingredients were plenty and fresh and i love the bread!! Def recommend this location! Better than the ones back home in the bay.

Wanted to try something new & healthy. Came across this place online & decided to check it out. Me & my partner shared the Caramelized Garlic Steak & the Miso Glazed Salmon. Both amazing dishes, especially the Salmon dish! A lot of different flavors added together to make the perfect dish. Sat outside in the patio to enjoy the nice view & weather. Will be back to try other options.

I've heard about sweet green for a while but visited today for the first time. The pictures of the new fries made me drive the distance! I got there about 30mins after they opened (10:30am). Parking is a nightmare. I was just about to give up when a spot opened up. The man serving me was nice and polite. The salad I chose was super yummy. The fries were not worth the drive. They must have been made before opening and had been sitting there for the 40+ minutes. They were cold and dried out. Surprisingly the pickle ketchup was very yummy as I'm not a pickle person! I can imagine the fries could be delicious if they were fresh but that wasn't the case. Not sure what the solution will be for them to stay stocked on FRESH fries. ‍

I ordered through Grubhub. The delivery was quick and on time but the food was awful! I ordered my daughter the the kids chicken meal. The picture online looked good but my daughter got shredded chicken. Instead of sweet potato wedges it was basically sweet mash potatoes. They were both very cold as well. I paid $25 for a very disappointing salad. I paid the $6 for the extra steak. It looked like it had been diced up and in a fridge for days. I also got just a few pieces. I paid for extra blue cheese and barely got any at all... the sweet potato in my salad was super mushy. Both my steak and sweet potato were VERY cold as well. I ended up having to make a different dinner for my daughter, throwing out my salad and thank goodness my husband did not get anything because that would of been gross as well and more money down the drain... Honestly... I'm so disappointed and hungry.

Used to love this place, but over the last several months, lots of food items are not available and the staff working there seem overworked and angry. It's become consistently a bad experience. This is the first time I've felt I needed to review a place. The staff were literally laughing at me as I spoke to the manager. I've eaten here with various friends and family maybe 50 times. Not cool. Hope things get better, used to love going there.

This food is very good here and the quality is high but the protein portions are so small. They rarely give me a full scoop of chicken or steak. It's simply way too expensive considering the tiny protein sizes. I will upload pictures next time, if I come back.

This is one of the best fast casual restaurants around. Sweet greens is amazing. Good healthy food. I highly recommend the blackened chicken with the wild rice. Add spinach.

Have had good interactions here but the last time I went in someone behind the counter was stingy and rude when telling me I couldn't get another serving of meat. I was willing to pay... and today I ordered delivery and it took way over an hour as the time kept pushing out for the ETA but the thing that got me was the bowl size was about half of what it is in store. Half the food, then charge me half the price. Disappointing.

Multiple times they get a to go order incorrect or leave out dressings. No way of getting a hold of the store or company with their ancient robot menu. Absolutely abysmal. Go somewhere else

The staff here is always super friendly! I went for lunch recently and ordered the hot honey chicken and added the broccoli. The broccoli was a nice addition since it has a little spice to it. The quinoa, chicken and carrots all tasted great! The sauce that comes with it is sweet but spicy. Definitely one of my favorite plates here!

I had a salmom with rice to go was fresh tasty and rice was good will I give it a try yes of course service is promt Cannot say mugh about ambience because it was delivery sorry no pictures as I was very hungrey and it was yummy :))

Walked in on a Friday at 12:30pm (lunch hour) and there was 3 people in front of me. There was only 1 employee taking/ making the orders so it was very slow! The employee didn't even seem to know what she was doing. She had to look at a card to help her make each order so that took up even more time. I had to repeat my order to her multiple times before she even started making it. This was a disappointing experience. We got two kids meals and two regular bowls and it came to around $50. Our bowls were barely even filled! We won't be coming back here. Not worth your time or money. Oh yeah, we also tasted the new fries and they were cold. Definitely could tell they weren't fresh.

This was very disappointing. The first time, I ordered my usual crispy rice and tried out the new chips. The chips were burnt and very stale, however their Instagram reached out and gave me a $5 credit for a future order. I decided to give them another chance and tell my coworkers to order here for our office lunch. We got our food and all of our dressings were missing, my crispy rice bowl was missing the crispy rice. They have a check list on each bowl and somehow multiple things were missing on each order. The parking at this location is very crowded on top of all this. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be going back unfortunately.

This food is so nostalgic because it reminds me of my childhood growing up with LAUSD cafeteria food cause this is literally the same terrible quality. Overdone and dry salmon, crunchy rice, absolutely no flavor in the food, I had to add salt for any flavor. I have no idea why this place is always crowded. Def not worth the price.

I really enjoy the food here in the people who work there are generally friendly. However, at least half of my visits over the last three months they have not had basic items on their menu. I really don't understand how a business that sells salads runs out of kale and romaine on the same night. When I asked if I could have a discount because I couldn't get what I wanted, they gave me two dollars off a bill of $46. Really?

This place is good but I have doubts with a recent visit. I ordered the new steak bowl. I was watching the associate assemble the bowl and didn't see whether or not there was any steak on it, which she kindly replied yes I added it. On inspection, it wasn't in there. Even when people make the food in front of you, you'd think you could trust they would get it right. Had this been a mobile order I would have been pissed. I got the steak added, it was well done. Unlike what was advertised which was medium. Disappointed.

We just happened to stop in for dinner because it looked good and healthy. We got there around 6:30pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant was clean. There was a line to order but it wasn't too long. They have salad or quinoa bowls. I tried a quinoa bowl with chicken and it was delicious!

This is my daughters' absolute favorite place in the whole world!!! The only complaint is they don't have enough locations in San Diego!!! We were on a road trip so we went out of our way to Carlsbad from Bay Park to pick up dinner for the four of us. Kind of hard to eat in the car but worth the hassle. We ordered a couple shroomami warm bowls and a chicken pesto parm bowl, all with modifications, as well as a side of roasted sweet potatoes with green goddess dressing. Everything was made perfect and definitely hit the spot. A bit pricey for a salad but would pay it every time. Sweetgreen is always consistent and even more delicious. Ps. We ordered ahead of time on the mobile app which was super convenient! It was ready on time when we picked up!

Omg, this place is delissssssh!!!! I wanted to start eating clean and this place will make fast food easy. It's healthy with generous portions and contracts with local farmers- I am all for supporting local farmers. Restaurant was nice and clean. Staff was very nice and helped me with the menu. I knew what i wanted, but staff is very willing to share their favorites and make a recommendation. I will DEFINITELY come back!

The manager at this location is dedicated and so hospitable. I had an issue with an uber eats order and went in to let the store know the next day. The manager immediately apologize and offered a complimentary salad. It was stand out service. The restaurant industry needs more managers like him. The food is always fresh and delicious, atmosphere is clean. One of my favorite restaurants for a healthy dinner or lunch.

I love this chain but last time we came in there was absolutely no protein available- out of chicken, blackened chicken, steak, etc. It was 7 pm. Very disappointing!

Sweetgreen brings a fresh, healthier alternative to traditional "fast food" options. Founded by 3 college students, they serve healthy lunches and dinners without sacrificing quality or convenience. My wife and I first came here for a late dinner and instantly made note of the clean, modern layout. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating with menu modifications. We both opted to try the Miso Bowl, a seasonal special, swapping in salmon for chicken. All ingredients were fresh and delicious, but I think the warm wild rice was my favorite part. I also recommend trying the Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Hot Honey Mustard. The sweet and spicy combo pairs nicely! The portions here are very hefty, so keep that in mind when ordering. We each left uncomfortably full. When the food is this good it's easy to over eat! PRO TIP: If you have allergies or food sensitivities, this is a great option. The menu notes "gluten" and "vegan" dishes and the staff is happy to help guide you while making your selections. You can also order ahead on the mobile app, which shows all ingredients and options.

I was really excited to try this place. Showed up for my to-go order and proceeded to wait 20 minutes (!!) past when it was supposed to be ready...along with 8 other sad people waiting on their takeout. Meanwhile, people that walked in to order seemed to get quick service. I mean...wth? They said they were short-staffed as there was just one glacially slow guy working on takeout. Shouldn't the whole team work together for ALL the orders? The kicker was when I finally got home only to find that my salad had about 1 tsp of salad dressing. Same with my husband's order. Can't you at least fill the tiny salad container to the top? Pro tip: Head over to Cava instead. You can reliably swing in and grab your order quickly after ordering online. Lots of dressing! Less expensive, too.

The food is great. The one star is for management and how poorly they run this place. It is probably the worst Sweetgreen that exists. This place always runs out of something. Orders are usually wrong. I can count on one hand the orders they got right, and we order multiple times a week. They need better and smarter managers.

Love this place! Everything is delish! It's a go to spot for something quick something delicious and something easy to grab and go or grab and just eat at the restaurant!

Ordered a day in advanced and wasn't close to be ready on pick up. Lady in front was super rude when asking where pick up was as well.

In the 15 months that 8 people are waiting for their pickup order not one salad has been produced. Meanwhile 2 employees are sitting enjoying their dinners. I am not sure what exactly is happening but very unfair to the delivery people who get tips for timely deliveries. Really need to consider staffing during prime hours.

Saw a very long line while driving in the nearby area and thought I better go check it out! Saw the big sign where they locally source most of their ingredients from and the location. Customer service was a bit behind, I saw a few people in the back that were doing nothing and could have helped the 2 up front and sped up the long lines. Also would love to see the proteins ahead of time as they were covered with lids and wanted to gauge how juicy, dry, and colors as I taste with my eyes first so did the vegetarian salad. Hope they add a location closer to San Diego as it would be a real hit in this area! For sure will be back when in Carlsbad.

I came in last night with my husband it was very busy. Even after our food came out late Diego was able to make it up to us and make us laugh. Also the food was amazing. I was very happy about the service I will be coming back

The food, per usual is 10/10. I love getting the Kale Chicken Cesar salad it's so delicious and filling. Emily was assembling my bowl and she was amazing. Best service as she was kind and attentive. The ordering process was quick and easy, I also don't mind waiting for some fresh food. The ambiance was great, very quiet and not full at all. There's plenty of outdoor/indoor seating.

I'm so glad they opened a location in SD! This is like Tender Greens meets Chipotle, but better. They serve meat, but their menu is very plant forward, and they execute on vegetarian items so well. It will make the most unwilling veggie eaters actually enjoy veggies. Fresh is on the forefront here, and they have windows into their refrigerator, showcasing all the fresh produce. Download their app to get $5 off your first order. All their containers and utensils are compostable. Both indoor and outdoor seating available.

I wish they tell you how good you are and what they do with the sauces. The part that really matters is the part that doesn't make you full , it just helps you tbh.

Great, clean food! I love that they try to use organic and locally sourced produce as much as possible.

First, the minute we walked in, there was one man at the counter named Daryl, and we got a weird and hostile vibe from him. And after we ordered a simple Avocado Ranch Salad, and a side of romaine lettuce, and when we finished ordering, Daryl completely blew us off and left the counter to "wash his hands." The device was terrible, and we were really disappointed. And a different time, I ordered the same salad, and when I opened it, I saw around 13 little white maggots in it. And when I tried to go back and ask for a refund, the same guy told me rudely that they don't do refunds. Daryl's voice was also extremely quiet, so we had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times. Overall, this visit was probably my last.

Worst customer service ever. The young man who served my boyfriend and I was unbelievably rude, rolling his eyes and being so disrespectful. I have never been treated so awfully by a fast food employee. We didn't even finish ordering and just walked out, as did many others. Save your $20 and go somewhere else!

I love sweetgreen and this location was just as great. The staff were very friendly and I liked the eating area outside. It was very peaceful. They had a blackboard at this location with information of where each ingredient came from and the naming of the farms made the food feel more real and the experience different.

Great quality of vegetables and protein options. I was impressed that the kale had all the chewy stocks removed.
