I used to work at sweetgreen over 10 years ago and the food and the quality is still good! Shout out to MaKayla for making me a delicious autumn harvest bowl with spicy cashew. If you haven’t tried it, it’s a must!

My salad did not appear fresh. It also smelled funny maybe it was the pickled onions. The cilantro should be finely chopped not just thrown in 4 in strands. The salad dressing was good. I was advised that it was better to go in person not to get food delivered. I wouldn't order from them again.

wow the food was terrible! I think this location is really off. I ordered a kale Cesar and right off the bat the dressing was not fresh… then I tried the cherry tomatoes and they were rotten. The chicken tastes like fish. It was the worst salad I've ever had. Ive come to different sweet green locations all the time but this was my first and last time coming here.

Server Carl, Along with creating your bowl he offere suggestion about different upgrades, and clearly informed whats best for your buck. The best part at the end he even offered to toss the salad prior to closing lid. No other employee has ever. 10 stars to Carl. Very passionate about customer service

I visited sweet green restaurant in Chicago. It is chain restaurant of an American fast casual restaurant. It has lot of branches around usa. I tasted food here . It was good. Every bowl has lot of spinach, chicken jouice and dry ,little bit of cheese with different types of Mionouse. There was good for American cuisine. I happy when I was visit all branches. It has very good seating arrangements and interior. Staff are good . Best service in usa.

The avocado was unedable. Why put one on the salad if it is unedble? Send a note or notice that the ingredient is not available.

Awesome location here. Street parking available if you’re lucky (paid). Friendly staff! The patio was great but the bees took over and we had to cut. Do the elote bowl for sure. Do it now.

I dont suggest anyone go here. Brijet W was extremely rude and unprofessional, spat in my food and purposefully overcharged me. My spouse and I ordered the SAME thing however she charged me over double what she charged her. Please see pictures below. This location needs to be inspected by corporate. The service was horrendous.

I came here for a late lunch for my usual "girl salad" which is the Cesar salad with steak. It's pretty good. The server was polite, she reminded me I could customize my salad. The ambiance is bright, nice spot for a casual lunch.

Delicious! This is my first time eating at Sweetgreen and I ordered the Miso Glazed Salmon for lunch today. Everything was cooked greatly and I loved the spicy cashew sauce that comes with it. The salmon was nice and tender and paired well with the toppings (red onions, cucumbers, onion crisps, and sesame). I like how they give you a preference on how much sauce you want on the meal (mild, medium, or heavy). You can also ask for sauce on the side if that's your preference. Service was great! I was in and out. And they also have a spacious area if you want to dine in. Will return! Overall rating: Miso Glazed Salmon 5/5

First time here still searching for excellent salads: Found it! I ordered the Guacamole Green Salad: Roasted chicken, avocado, tomatoes, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, tortilla chips, spring mix, chopped romaine, lime squeeze, lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette. That is better than any Southwestern Salad and authentic to boot!

We were invited to have lunch here with our new Chicago friends. Honestly, we probably would have never thought to eat here. But we were pleasantly surprised. All bowls/plates are customizable, so my kids were able to create their bowls to what they like. My son doubled up on the salmon while my daughter piled on the herbed chicken. She also really enjoyed the fresh focaccia bread. I tried the new Southwest Chicken Fajita bowl. The sauces perfectly complemented each order. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and really good. Super friendly and patient staff as people had a lot of questions while ordering. They never hesitated to accommodate all requests. My kids may not choose to come back, but I definitely will. :)

I have no idea why we settled for Sweetgreen when we sort of knew better, having been here once before. Valois has been closing at three. After parking right across the street, we looked around for somewhere else nearby. Should have crossed back over and gone elsewhere. Short version: If you like Valois style regular food, you will probably not like Sweetgreen. We had the new garlic steak bowls. The steak was excellent. Tender and nicely seasoned. The sweet potatoes were very good except there was one piece with something nasty on the skin and I had to spit it into a napkin and wipe my tongue. Hand soap? Disinfectant? It was not food and it was not supposed to be on the food, that is certain. The wild rice mix was OK, little grape tomatoes and broccoli were fine. I did not like the pesto vinaigrette. I like pesto, and I like vinaigrette, but the combination was awful. Drinks on this menu are all very upscale. I picked a fancy brand of sugar-sweetened lemon-lime for spouse, unsweetened raspberry lime carbonated for me. Neither of us finished them. No "diet pop" of any kind because that is just too plebeian for the ambiance. Someone remind me that I do not want to ever eat here again. It's a lot of money for a cafeteria line. Probably a decent value if the food is to your taste, but we were disappointed.

Ordered a salad for dinner. Standard sweet green. Tasted great. Service was good. Gave me plenty of toppings. No complaints. Would order again.

Horrible experience! This was the first and last visit for me. Some rude lady who im assuming is named Brijet W (she was very sketchy and did some underhanded stuff so lying about her name isn't off the table) spat in my food while talking, charged me double for the same menu item that my gf got, and made me wait two minutes while staring off into the distance before putting cheese in my salad... i dont know what drugs she was on but that interaction was WEIRD and unwarranted. I hope she gets help! I can't eat this!

My colleagues and I ordered lunch from here. Two ordered custom bowls, the other coworker and I ordered the Harvest Bowl, but she replaced the chicken for the mushrooms. Our orders came with bread, and we also requested another side of salad dressing at no extra charge. We all agree that our bowls were huge, healthy, filling, and we were satisfied with our choices. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

I order the exact same salad every time I go to Sweet Green. Today my Harvest salad was a big disappointment. I had very few greens in my bowl, very much less than usual. I really wanted to take it back to get a refund, but I was too far from store. I had to eat that nasty salad. I have no tolerance for lack of consistency, especially when I'm spending $15.00. I think management should train associates as to ensure continuity of quality. Not sure if I'm going back.

Sadly.. I'm so addicted to this place. I absolutely LOVE the unique selections of salad ingredients and all of the dressing and topping options.. unfortunately.. it's quite pricey and I'm going to eventually need to get a bank loan to fuel my "habit"

I ordered a custom bowl with double chicken and YUM. This portion was MASSIVE and super filling. I tried 3 different dressings - balsamic, spicy cashew, and pesto. My favorite was the spicy cashew dressing but it did make my nose run. The ingredients all complimented each other well and I felt super healthy but also stuffed. Will definitely be coming again.

Great place for a healthy option for lunch. Large variety of salad offerings. The portions could be bigger, but everything I have tried has been tasty. I would suggest more variety of drinks and a tastier bread option. The free slice of bread that comes with salads leaves something to be desired. Overall good

Avoid. If you're someone like me who only has an hour for lunch this is not the location you want to visit. The salads are amazing and this location is so convenient however this location specifically is also the worst. SLOW 10-20 min wait everyday doesn't matter what time. Always one person taking orders and that person moves so slow. Never seen anyone spend 7-10 mins on a salad. Pls go to state street location. Do not order online they do not read and will not give you the extras you pay for which is exactly why I rather come in. As excited as I've been to have this location in Hyde park after today this review is consistent with me visiting 3 months straight every week. Nothing ever improves.

Service was horrible and the sweet potatoes are smushed together. I couldn't even tell the workers because they were so rude. I've been to sweet greens locations that are way better. It's regular potatoes mixed in with the sweet potatoes.

Idk what's going on with Sweet Green but my bowl was filled halfway and the rice in my bowl was rock hard! Is it just me or have they gotten extremely skimpy on toppings as well? Not as good as it used to be.

My bowl wasn't even full. Like half of it had food and the other half was empty. At the very least maybe some rice to fill the space but honestly idk if I'd even want more rice with how hard it was. The white rice especially had the texture of leftover rice that was put into a bowl uncovered inside a fridge for hours. That's how hard it was

Worst Sweet Green I ordered delivery this time instead of going in. The sent 1 dressing for their large salads when i requested 3 totally disregarded my instructions, and i paid extra for what i wanted for 2 salads, no utensils either. Not again!

Definitely had a great experience at the sweetgreen location in Hyde park first time coming and received great help from an Employee Raquan very Charminggg

Came here today with my cousin. She ordered a "build your own" bowl while I ordered the pesto chicken with tofu instead! They didn't offer us bread but when I asked, they gave us each a slice to add to our bowls. We dined in so I ended up going back to ask for more pesto dressing, so I'd recommend getting two if you order takeout. A delightful meal as always!

It's always fresh, flavorful and fast with Sweetgreen. I can never go wrong with I have a Build You Own customized salad. It's a little pricey but it's worth every dollar. I would never substitute freshness for a lower price point.

Today was my first time trying Sweetgreen and Daisha recommended the Chicken Pesto Parm bowl and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Customer service was great.

I like Sweetgreen but this particular location is way too inconsistent. On a weekly basis I'm there and ask for a build your own bowl. They let me choose my toppings for the salad base including chicken and rice and I'm done. Then one day I come in to place my usual order and I'm told salad bowls don't come with rice. I asked her if it was a new rule and she said it was always that way. The girl who told me this made my bowls in the past multiple times and never mentioned this once. I told her, I don't know what kind of bowl you want to call it but every other time I've come in here I've requested a build your own bowl and gotten rice. Never once was I told rice doesn't come with it, not even from you. You also have to pay close attention to the menu for all the ingredients that are supposed to come in their meals. I got the bbq chicken and squash plate 3 times before I was told almonds come in it. So 3 times I paid for an ingredient I didn't get yet they want to nickel and dime you for every little extra. They also seem to regularly run out of main ingredients hours before they close. One day I went in there around 5 pm and they had run out of spinach, mixed greens and romaine. How can a salad restaurant run out of salad? That's ridiculous. There are 4 grocery stores within a few block radius of this location and they're telling people 5 hours before closing time they don't have salad. Yesterday I went in there about 6:30 and they had run out of rice and quinoa. The place has potential, I do like their salads and plates but they need better management.

They have such good healthy salads and they are so close to my neighborhood in Hyde Park...

Sweet Green is helping me to accomplish my health goals and I'm so glad to have a healthy option in Hyde Park. The Southside's food disparities and food access is rigid. I just moved to Chicago from the Bay Area 10 months ago and missed Sweet Green and Tender Greens! I especially love this location because of the staff. They are always happy and attentive. My honorable mention today goes to Roosevelt Scott. He always goes over and beyond to serve customers and each time I've gone in -- he's been quick to solve problems when other staff were stuck on how to find a solution. A true self-starter and team leader. Work is much more fun with a laugh and a helpful coworker. I fully recommend Roosevelt for a lead/managerial position, if he's not already in one! He deserves all the roses.

Oh how I Love Love Loveeeee Sweetgreen! Initially I heard that the Sweetgreens had the best salads... have been wanted to try them ever since. So as soon as they showed up in Hyde Park I jumped on the opportunity. Ingredients are so fresh and absolutely every is so flavorful. You cannot go wrong with whatever you choose to go with. Steel head fish is definitely my favorite next to chicken. Its definitely a little overpriced but willing to pay for the quality, Since, i have yet to be disappointed.

Overall horrible experience today. The employees were extremely rude while telling customers to stand in a the specified waiting area. I don't want to go too much into detail because I'm here for food. Have the employees been trained here? They don't talk much/ ask any questions, it was my friends choice and she had no idea she could swap things in her bowl for other items. My friend and I ordered the taco bowl, Our cilantro was still on their stems or wasn't chopped. See attached pic

The order was delivered, and it showed up with 1 of the three meals we had ordered. No one contacted us to let us know that was going to happen. It was impossible to get a hold of them (phone lines automated). I was routed to this bizarre texting service that made it clear that I was communicating with some one who had no idea what was going at the HP location. Maybe fine if you go in and order or pick up in person. Don't order delivery, they don't care about the product if they can't see a person ordering it or at least picking up in person.

I went to sweetgreen and ordered the elote salad. The salad was good I will definitely order it again but the server seemed like she was afraid to give a healthy scoop of the ingredients, she would scoop and shake off any excess as if it was to much, I asked for extra sunflower seeds and she said it would cost extra for SUNFLOWER SEEDS, then the salad included goat cheese and I had to ask for it, when I asked she said "you want goat cheese" I said, it comes with it right. Her service was really bad, I had to ask for a bag, I was waiting for her to bag it and she said you're done, that's when I said can I have a bag and some utensils, she gave me a bag and pointed to the utensils on the counter by the door as if I should have known they were there. Food is good but that server was terrible.

Loved it. Fresh ingredients. Tasty ingredients. Good service. That's pretty much all you can ask for, along with clean environment. I'll return.

Well I thought I'd try Sweetgreen again, because the first after eating a salad, I immediately got sick, intense stomach pains and diarrhea. I thought no it couldnt be and I wrote it off thinking maybe it was something i ate for breakfast. So today Sept. 7th 2022, I thought I'd give Sweetgreen another try, and just like before same thing, intense pain and diarrhea (sorry dont mean to be graphic) then I thought let me see if I'm not the only person, so I googled and found this article https://iwaspoisoned.com/tag/Sweetgreen. It has happen to many more people than I thought. I will never eat there again, I will share this article to let other people know a well.

I have generally visited the Sweetgreen on West Randolp, but was elated when the Hyde Park location opened. I was disappointed with the service until on Saturday of this past week when I encountered a young woman named Iyonna. She was not only efficient but moved quickly to assist TWO people at a time without making any mistakes while other employees seemed to labor and were slow to figure out the ingredients for each customer's selection. Today I also visited the Hyde Park location and felt privileged to get Iyonna as an employee and again she moved quickly assisting two people at a time because the line was long. this young lady deserves recognition...and a pay raise!!!

always bussin, never disappoints. one time i got delivery and it spilled out the cardboard rectangle but i still ate it that's how buss it is.

Lots of healthy options! I would like to come again to try another dish. A lot of bad reviews say that the service is slow and rude. I did not have that experience. They were very personable and came quickly to wipe our table when we asked. The only complaint I have is that my dish was too spicy. Be sure to ask about the spice of the dish if you are sensitive.

This place is quite terrible. The customer service is awful and the food that they are serving is expired. My family and I have been sick for the last few days after eating at this restaurant, as the lettuce on our salads was wilted and old. Many other customers have also reported being sick from this location as well due to the expired food. This is not a safe place for anyone to eat and should be shut down! I have contacted corporate and the restaurant themselves and have not received a response. No one should eat here. Stay away from this location if you can.

I remember saying, "Why is there not a salad bar in HP"? .... And just like that my prayers were answered! LOVE this location, I got the Kale salad today, and it was exceptional. EVERYTHING was FRESH! Customer service was wonderful!! I'm so happy that they offer online orders for pick-up. It's very organized! This is definitely my go- to spot after my evening workouts! If you want a good salad, don't hesitate, you will love the salads here! :)

Tons of outdoor seating make this a great place for lunch or dinner during COVID. Nice selection of salads. Good offers when you use the app!

I've been hearing about sweetgreen for a while But haven't gotten the chance to go until today. And Babyyy their food is DELICIOUS. A guy named Roosevelt who works their made my first time there very special by Helping me get familiar with the menu. Roosevelt helped me by explaining the different types of dressing and meats and sides. Roosevelt was so helpful, patient and kind.

Best sweetgreen in Chicago! So consistent & they give you so much food compared to other locations!! Daisha was amazing!!!

I tried to order online in the evening and the order would not go through. So not ruling out operator error as a possibility (ok Boomer) I went in person to the Hyde Park sweetgreen to try to place an order. They had closed at 6:00 p.m., even though the website said they were open until 9:00! This was not the first time the website said the store in Hyde Park was open when it was in fact, closed. Especially around holidays, they do not stay open.

Foods great but the service is terrible. Long Lines with only one employee working while others sit back and watch.

I love this location, come in a lot and for the most part I'm greeted as soon as I walk through the door! I normally get the same salad artist/server his name is Roosevelt (absolutely the best customer service I've experienced in a long time) he's kind he's pleasant and he probably doesn't notice that he's the one that serves me on my late night salad meals after my work out and my mid afternoon cravings either! But he's pretty awesome! Today I went in after my workout and I've been having a not so great week my emotions are everywhere but I went in today and he seem like he good feel that my energy was off and he was extra kind I almost wanted to cry right then but kept it together because he was so kind and I didn't want to scare him with my put burst! Long story short check them out and ask for Roosevelt he's awesome!

I've been here three times. I love the sweet green brand. The store is new at this time. Everything is fresh and clean. However, they definitely need to work on staffing issues. The wait is quite long. I hope it doesn't go the way of the neighboring chipotle as it relates to service and upkeep.

Absolutely loved Roosevelt!! He took care of us and has the best customer service and positive hard working attitude! Food was delicious and fresh too!

Very good and fresh food. It's a nice heathy holiday considering how poor the nutritional quality of most food places are. However, portion sizes could be more generous.
