Terrible experience. The staff were rude and unprofessional. I asked for a bottle to be washed because it was dirty, and the server simply rubbed it on her clothes instead of cleaning it properly—completely unhygienic. The fries came burnt and overcooked, and the rest of the food wasn’t good at all. Definitely not worth the visit.

I just had a very bad experience today at this location. I work near the Hudson Yards area and I was looking for something for lunch. The cashier's service in the morning at around 10:15 am was terrible. I first asked for a vegetarian option and she responded rudely. When I told her I had already decided, she started serving my salad without asking me what I wanted in it or not. When it was time to pay, she was so rude that she was reading the options from what I was saying and pressed the button for me. To top it off, I asked her about a bag and she just pointed me to the location and spoke in a defensive tone. The salads at this chain are very good, but I don't think I'll return to this place after what happened!

I order here since I work in the area but have quickly learned you have to be strategic on your mobile app order & pick up time. Between 12pm and 1:30pm on most days it’s a disaster. While the pick up time may show you one time, during these busy peak times, you’ll wait another 10, 20 maybe even 30 minutes (like I have). Unfortunately, there was a time I waited literally almost an hour, and I kept asking where’s my salad and thought maybe somebody even took mine by accident. There was a very gracious man who was trying to get the orders out as fast as possible, hustling between the kitchen and the floor, and he kept saying it’ll be right out and at some point, he said “you know what, I don’t think it ever came out.” So almost an hour later a whole new salad gets made for me, but there really was no accommodation for my one hour wait. I did write to customer service on the app and they gave me a $5 credit, but I would’ve expected this from the staff if it was really a poor in store experience.

Came in for lunch with a friend place was clean and neat the workers were quick with our orders and super friendly:) I got the salmon bowl it was pretty tasty! Didn’t really like the lemonade tbh but other than that service and food was great :) there’s no seating inside but the outside were plenty of chairs and tables

It’s been a while since I stopped by this location, but after grabbing my usual crispy rice bowl, I came back on my lunch break and tried the Garlic Parm Cauli Bowl—absolutely delicious! I hope it never leaves the menu. I also noticed the new management, and the vibe felt so much better as soon as I walked in. A smooth, pleasant lunch experience. I’ll definitely be coming back more often to this sweetgreen location and look forward to having the delicious Garlic Parm Cauliflower Bowl again, it was sooo yummy. (:

Ordered pickup, yet again they forgot my chicken. If you’re trying to cheat people of their meat for cost-efficiency, that’s not the right way to do it. The protein is the primary part of the meal besides the salad. The sweet potatoes are also slices thin and are not roasted/cubed as described in the app. I would NOT recommend this sweet green to anyone. They just happen to only be open late in the evenings most days. The servers are fine when you go in person and are holding them accountable for ordering yourself. Other than that, terrible. Update: the automatic AI bot asked me to send an email to a failed delivery address. They will NOT do anything to remit or correct issues.

Very bad experience from rude and unprofessional staff. Placed an order at 4:54, estimate complete time was 5:15, arrived at 5:20, and they didn’t even have the order. Got the order at 5:43. All those time there were only 2 or 3 customers. I said the order was 30 mins late, I need to be compensated, one of the staff did not even apologize and said “you did not arrive in time to pick up your order either”. I arrived 5 mins late to give you guys the buffer! And you use my kindness to blame your fault on me! Please to train your staff to treat your customers with respect!

This is the most pathetic excuse for a dining establishment that I have ever encountered relative to the sweet green brand. Absolute train wreck from start to finish with rude service, missing ingredients, and a completely flavorless and disappointing bowl. At first I thought the reviews couldn't be true because sweet green Maintains a very consistent standard in my dining with them all across the country but this one is a Bimal and whoever manages this should be fired along with many of their rude staff. Corporate needs to take care of this tumor on their brand as other others like myself will reconsider whether we eat at any Sweetgreen ever after this experience

rare to find a chain that actually tries to source clean ingredients and use healthy oils (coconut, olive, etc) it is very appreciated. almost no seed oils in this place

Had a good experience today on my visit. Jerell did a good job to suggest good options for my plate and maintained good service throughout my order. To add he did a good job of mixing all the items together in the bowl!! The food is always good and ambiance is good. My fav go to place for salads

Sweet green has been one of my go to lunch spots as a summer intern in college. Despite being super busy, I can always get in and out by pre ordering. It is super clean and the staff is very friendly. Today, Jerelle was extremely kind to me in helping me with my order. He is someone to be noticed!

For me it takes a a lot to complain about a place that makes salads but I'm often disappointed when going to this particular Sweet Green Location. The staff comes off like they never want to be there which I get it....it's work.... but me ordering a salad shouldn't be a chore for you. They didn't drain the ingredients well in my salad so there was a pool of liquid at the bottom as you can see in the picture. I'll have to look for other options around Hudson Yards because enough is enough. (I only gave it a 2nd star because the salad itself wasn't bad...everything else there is the issue)

This was my first time at sweet green. I really like the cilantro dressing they used on my chicken avocado salad. My husband got the power green salad with chicken. It was really good as well but I'm not a big fan of kale, so I really liked mine a lot more which was the avocado, cilantro salad. I changed the regular chicken out for blackened chicken. The service was pretty fast. There wasn't a line even though we went around 6 PM. We ate outside and it was busy and nice environment.

Yes, I finally got to enjoy my first sweet green salad!! I was super excited about it because we don't have a sweet green in Norfolk/ Virginia Beach area. Family members from CA, ATL, & NYC always sent me messages and pictures of what they were having for lunch or dinner, and being a foodie, I would dream about getting my first sweet green meal! The meal was amazing and I enjoyed every bite. I think I ate it too fast because my sister was still chowing down on her salad when I was done! The manager made it such a memorable experience because he said it was on him (free) since it was my first time at sweet green. I am so happy that NYC Hudson Yards' sweet green was the first place. The manager and staff were helpful and provided first class service! I am a sg fan for life. Thank you for the best customer service I've ever received. The sweet life!

Awesome service and great salads. Just wish they weren't so expensive. Parking isn't always easy either.

I've been going there since they opened 5 years ago. It's been my obsession but now it's gradually turned into last place to go. Half of the time my food gets messed up so I have to take a trip back, other half the food is undercooked or even overcooked, nobody does check before serving. The containers are too small and don't close properly. Even the sauce they give u is about 1/3 full. What a disappointment! I've been going to Dig Inn more lately and very impressed with their choices and size of the portions. Sweetgreen should check out their competition.

Don't usually complain on here with minuscule problems, but this was my second time ordering from this location and my order was messed up both times. First time, they gave me blue cheese instead of goat cheese, and the second time they just forgot to add the blackened chicken altogether. Their solution for forgetting an essential ingredient? A $5 credit for your next order - as if that helps with your current situation. Needless to say, will be avoiding this location anytime in the future. Do better.

If I could give this zero or negative stars I would. I will never go back to this sweet green place again! There was a very small LIVE worm in my co-workers salad. We both we eating together when she found it and we both could NOT finish our lunch. There has also been numerous times that I have gotten salad (ordered ahead) and it was missing something.

Best sweet green in Manhattan stg. Hefty scoops and freshest ingredients. Every worker is nice and never have been any lines during lunch. I keep coming back and it's super consistent. Putting the UES one to SHAME.... PS. the tofu is TO DIE FOR.

I don't usually write a review for a salad place but this place is pretty good. I came here during lunch time and the line was about 15 mins long. It gave me a chance to look at the menu and decide what I want. I'm indecisive. I settled on the Guac green which consist of greens, half an avacado, onions, grilled chicken, fried tortapieces and tomatoes with a chile lime dressing. Delish!

Dear sirs, My family and I went today to buy our salads for dinner. The assistant got annoyed because It took my husband a while to decide his salad. This person was rude and made us feel bad as if he was wasting his time with us. This man had a bear and he was not using correctly his cover. He weared at the neck instead of the moustache and the bear itself. What really got us upset was when took wiith his fingers a bunch of chickpeas and put them in his mouth in front of us before he added a piece of steelhead that my husband ordered for his salad. Very dissapointed with the bad attitude , bad hygienic procedures and the attentions from this assistant. He did not even looked into our eyes or say goodbye. He did not give us our ticket. He just dissapeared.

Should be closed down. It's embarrassing. Never have ingredients to a bowl they created. Never have bread, salmon dry and tiny. Half ingredients missing no matter what time of a day. Service is slow and not carrying. Ambiance is whatever attitude. Worst location. I'm giving one star just because doesn't allow me to.

The food was okay for a little bit and then it was too much salt so I had to throw it out. For a salad place I sort of expected earthy fresh food, instead I was met with salty overbearing and over dressed food. I even got the vegan option and there was nothing fresh about it. Had me gagging. The service was fine nothing special. And the store has the pseudo-post modern feel that Instagram would love. Wasn't sure expecting much but for the price I was expecting edible food.

Rudest staff ever. Don't go there. I have never been treated so poorly. When ordering my salad, the staff would roll their eyes.

They're painfully slow filling online orders (more than an hour late sometimes) and they don't seem to care. I guess they have no reason to care since so many people keep ordering there (hence the slowness). But I can't go there anymore.

Okay - I kind of understand what the other reviews are all about. After consecutive meetings, I was looking forward to my custom salad from SG. It was ready on time for pick up, I get back to eat it and my bowl had no dressing! I asked for light but literally none. It was not mixed at all, I always ask for mixed. For $15.. I'd expect it to be right. While I vigorously mixed the salad out of frustration, some of the salad debris flung out and hit my shirt. You know how I know this wasn't dressed? My shirt was completely clean! Not stained at all. Not sure how sweet potato ended up in here either. For the SG location at Hudson Yards, I'd expect a lot more. Disappointing.

Nothing to add on the taste of Sweetgreen but chiming in on how the people here REALLY skimp on the proteins. This woman was serving me my salmon and 1/3 of it fell off as she was poorly handling the spatula, and she didn't bother giving me that chunk except after I asked her to. Similarly with the chicken and tofu... hardly a full scoop. The portions have definitely come down compared to a few years ago. Think Sweetgreen, think! Don't you want to build customer loyalty and higher frequency instead of $0.25c of additional gross profit but the customer only wants to come once a month tops? Stop being stingy cheapskates. You're really gouging people for the quantity of proteins you're serving.

Really enjoy SGs but this location is a bit below average with the food quality and service. Yesterday I ordered the Curry Chicken Salad (seasonal menu) and half way through my salad I found a piece of metal in my bowl. I almost ate it and could have died if it got caught on my throat?!? Just really disappointed...

I hate to do this but they are always out of ingredients and today they are out of lids... I've been going to the one on flatiron instead but if you work near it's hard to go so Ps returned today June 24th and they are out of chicken, they notified the line which was out the door that it would be 20 minutes at least before it was ready. I feel like management doesn't realize or doesn't care that they are in a heavy traffic location.

Horrific experience. Usually there are no issues as many of our colleagues go to this place for lunch. However today, October 20, 2022, at around 4:20pm, went to order a salad. While in queue, I questioned the service staff why he is making my salad so slowly when other patrons before me had already gotten their salad, paid and left. Instead of the person I inquired answered, a colleague of his, a female service staff spoke very unprofessionally and questioned my inquiry noting he is new. Her behavior is unacceptable especially working in an area such as Hudson Yards. Instead of apologizing, she raised her voice and defended the male staff. Is this appropriate behavior for a staff at Sweetgreen at 10 Hudson Yards to give half the portion while spooning items to the bowl, consistently chattering with their colleague, not take heed that patrons are pressed for time while ordering and speaking to a patron out of line when not being addressed. A regular patron such as myself questions the ill intentions of both staffs. No harm intended for being new, but not even being apologetic for the delay or explaining the person is new is unacceptable, unprofessional and should not be tolerated. Both staffs need to be educated on etiquette especially they are in a service industry. Gratefully , I spoke to two highly reasonable and professional managers who understood my sentiment and situation. I suggested to them that the two two staffs, especially the female staff who had an atrocious attitude, demonstrated bad behavior and acting in defense for her colleague without understand the situation should be educated in manners and hospitality. A very disappointed customer after today's experience.

Best salad I've ever had. I got the Spring Chicken and I wish it wasn't just a seasonal item on their menu. The mix of kale, spinach, quinoa, tortilla strips, chicken, squash, and carrots provided such flavor and texture that gave the salad a lot of variety. The vegetables and chicken crunched together with the refreshing cooked squash and crispy tortilla strips. Though I was sad when I started to feel full, I was also really happy I got to try their salad. I just feel that $15 is too high for salad but the portion is large enough to split between two people unless you're feeling really hungry.

One of the best salad I've had in my life so far. Great portion, very fulfilling. I was a bit skeptical about it, especially since I'm not a big fan of salads. We're is vegetarian or meat option, you can create your own salad too. No seats inside so it's all take out. There's some seats and tables outside if the weather is good, of seats and tables by the market in the shopping centre, or you can just take it to go on the way. Fast and alright prices. A couple options for beverages. Good service and I'd highly recommend. Nice ingredients and I'd definitely go back again!

I ordered a custom salad. Spinach, cucumber, avo, tomato and mixed portobello mushrooms. Super simple. Asked for LIGHT olive oil and vinegar. I get the above, but a tiny piece of avo (which is extra of course) and the salad comes DRENCHED in olive oil. It's actually inedible now. This locations employees have such an attitude too. Not all of them, but most of them. Won't be coming back cause this was $18 and horribl

A great sg location! I absolutely love sweetgreen, and I love going to this location after a nearby workout at equinox or soulcycle. Their employees are actually friendly and not overly rushed, and they always give a great amount of toppings! Never had a bad salad from this location, and you really can't beat the actual location of this one! Quality food and service!

This location is really convenient for me, but agree with other reviewers in that it's chronically under-staffed during lunch and other peak times. The only time I've waited for less than 20 minutes here is when I went in for a late Thursday night salad one time over the summer, and even then the service is a bit slow.

This review is about this location. Not Sweetgreen as a whole... a company which I have had many positive experiences with. But here? If they moved any slower they would actually be moving backwards. Over a 20 minute wait for a salad is ridiculous. I guess shame on me for staying there... especially when it wasn't the first I've been victim to this location's molasses pace! I'm not sure what's going on with the staff at this location. They may have an 8 hour shift ahead of them, I however would prefer not to join them for it. Just a salad in a bowl... it's not that hard.

Giving a 1 store only because when you order salad online they give you very little greens. I never take rice or quinoa, so would be nice to get good smoking of greens instead ..I thought SALAD means that I'll get my greens..

This place misses something important (protein, cheese, or dressing) in almost every order. And there's been only negative improvement after my repeated feedback.

I ordered the Harvest Salad from the app. The order was ready on time which was nice but when i returned to my office and opened the box, i felt immediatley underwhelmed. I had heard great things about the Harvest Salad but what i saw in the box was just a bunch of kale and 2 tiny pieces of chicken and some wild rice and a clump of goat cheese. I knew something was off about the salad and then i realized that I was missing half the ingredients. They left out my apple, sweet potato and almonds. I can understand accidently omitting 1 ingredient but half of the ingredients??!!?! I immediately returned to the restaurant and they added all the missing ingredients without any issues but that should have never happened. Obviously there are no quality control checks at this location. It's not like I ordered an obscure salad or put together my own salad, i ordered one of the most popular salads on their menu. Not sure how they could mess that one up!! At the end of the day, the service sucked and the salad was not even that great.

The staff at this location does not know how to make the salads correctly. On one occasion when I ordered a basic salad in line, I saw them put the wrong things in my salad and had to correct them and help the staff make the salad in accordance with the stated ingredients (for a basic salad with no alterations). On multiple other occasions, I've ordered online and taken a salad back to my desk, only to discover that alterations I requested were not made. Come here only if you want salad roulette: You won't get what you ordered, but you'll kind some kind of salad with a mix of ingredients that adhere only loosely to the recipe.

I ordered two signature salads, one that came with avocado and another that didn't. The woman making my salad accidentally put avocado in both. When I was getting ready to pay they started to charge me extra for the avocado but the woman making my salad realized she accidentally added avocado into my salad. She scooped the avocado out and threw it away! What a waste!! On top of that she dropped the other avocado on the table and just threw the avocado that just fell onto the table into my salad. Do better sweetgreen. Both my salads came with tortilla strips but they were out and no one offered any substitutions.

$20 for a to-go salad with tofu? Never again. Food tastes okay, just not worth it this price point. There's far better options available.

This is my to-go place when it comes to lunch hours during the weekdays. I use their app (FYI... you get $5 your first two orders), to order ahead of time to skip the lines. All their salads are just amazing!

1. Impatient lady who mixed up my order and almost gave me someone else's salads. 2. Charged me extra for something I didn't event order 3. No space to seat Poor management at this location or staff training. Solid 2 stars for sweetgreen. You can do better.

They run out of rice 3 hours before they close and don't make any more. You come asking for a core ingredient and they don't even bother making it. What? Update: just happened again. You'll wait in line for 20 or more minutes only to find out they can't give you your order because they are out of their core ingredients and won't make more for a half hour. Inept employees and the company clearly doesn't care because this happens on the regular. Done with this joke of a company.

This is $16 salad at sweetgreen. Not even sufficient for dinner for one person. I had read an article that sweetgreen agenda was to make healthier food affordable? This salad proves otherwise.

Did not get full order after I paid for it. Also no receipt in the bag, and receipt online doesn't print out full order with prices not total. It's great that you get to steal from customers. Dirtbags.

Always a solid lunchtime option in my opinion. They are pretty friendly at this location and the lunchtime crowd isn't too bad (compared to the flatiron location for instance). I usually do a build-your-own salad and am pretty full at the end of my meal. I love their sesame tofu and the seasonal veggies - they're always so yummy! My only complaint is that they always seem to be out of forks/spoons for some reason, but that's about it. Worth a stop if you're in the area looking for a quick and healthy meal option :)

I'm a fan of being able to choose up to three dressings on the side. The interior of the restaurant always looks clean and the pick up area is lined with salad pick up orders by alphabetical order, placed through their sweetgreen app. A bit pricy (~$13-14) for a salad but they are one of the few places currently that offer healthy food in the growing Hudson Yards area. Minus one star because they have incorrectly fulfilled my orders and my coworkers orders multiple times: missing ingredients, wrong toppings, extra burnt sweet potato, a few pieces of chicken, etc

Pick whatever greens you want, throw em in a bowl and decide if you want light, medium or heavy dressing before they mix it up and send you on your way. I tend to go for the seasonal salad. Warm quinoa and rice bowls available as well. Never a bad experience at any of the many NYC locations I have been to. Make sure you have a credit/debit card. Cash free registers!!

I ordered pickup during COVID and I was utterly surprised that quite a few of the staff making the food- WITHOUT wearing masks or gloves. I have always ordered takeout from this place, not knowing the staff did not wear any protective gear. I don't think I will order again. The staff are talking and laughing to each other, not to say there is anything wrong with that normally, but while handling people's salad orders ( just imagine how unhygienic it is). I just think we should be more careful especially while going through COVID lockdown.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. They are terrible. First of all the food is mediocre and they always get the order wrong on the app. Never ordering again. I'm done with this place

Love the salads. The new location needs to be bigger; during lunch time is very busy and we don't have much time to eat. Maybe open another one near by ?

Like all the quick service restaurants in Hudson Yards - this SG disappoints with sloppy preparation and rude service. I used the app to order an hour ahead and my food was not ready on time. Once my food was prepared the meal was smashed into the bowl and did not have all the advertised Ingredients. Further, the greens were wilted. The bowl it was placed in was dirty and when I asked for this to be cleaned up before I accepted the order, the pickup person pointed at an empty napkin dispenser on a dirty counter. No thanks! I have had a similar experience with Fuku, Shake Shack and now Sweetgreen. Why is this tolerated Hudson Yards??

I like SG for lunch, and even for dinner sometimes. I was happy to discover this one a few blocks away. Kale Caesar, my standing order, was excellent as always - it's the lime squeeze! Salads are so light but still so satisfying. Tried the Hummus Tahina salad and not as impressed. The falafel was too dry to swallow, though the rest of the salad was tasty. Staff was friendly and efficient.

The staff (front line customer facing employees) working at this location is the most unfriendly I've experienced ever. Horrible experience. I ordered a guac green salad and they didnt even know the ingredients. I had to correct her 3 times. Super messy and she would just throw the bowl instead of handing it over. Worst sweetgreen location ever. Not even worth 1 star. I would rate the place negative stars if possible. Also, the ingredients looked so dry, horrible. All in all, staff and quality of ingredients were the worst ever.
