"Bougie line-inducing salad chain Sweetgreen is opening a big, bilevel new 'incubator' in Manhattan later this year. The California-based company tells Wall Street Journal that the first so-called 'Sweetgreen 3.0' will be located at Park Avenue and 32nd Street — with new composed dishes and design changes." - Serena Dai

I decided to come this location on 6/11/24 for the 1st time after hearing so many good reviews about this place from my fellow peers. I went by to pick up my order and a coworkers order. Mine stated complete much sooner than anticipated which was great. Until, my coworker who place her order 5 min before me at 12:14pm wasn’t ready until 12:41pm… It had been sitting on a table on the end of the preparation assembly line the whole time. Another lady waiting approximately just as long as I, maybe even a little more as she stated very loudly waiting 35 min at 12:35pm was completely fed up with the lack of communication and organization from the establishment. Someone behind the scenes bickered back at her, the tensions were very high, and uncomfortable. Only one worker there seemed to be apologetic in attempts of calming her down. The other two women I can’t say the same for. The number of employees working there definitely didn’t seem to be the issue, maybe more so the full organized system of assembly was missing. I didn’t complain to the staff while I was there as they seemed overwhelmed already. At the end only to discover our orders were also done incorrectly… I’m super disappointed this was my 1st experience. I hope their management is able to resolve this issue effectively before it gets worst.

Google
It added tofu as an extra. It did come with lots of tofu but almost no chicken. Also felt a little light? . Looks very busy during weekday lunch hour, so probably less quality?

Google
I usually don’t write negative reviews but this visit just stunned me. Walked in at 5 pm on a weekday and was shocked that it was completely empty of food, they said they would start serving again in 20 minutes. I have never seen this at a sweetgreen especially around dinner time. Is this new? Very unfortunate. Will have to go to a different salad place nearby.

Seems like some folks didn’t have the best experience here. But I sure did! Service was friendly. And super quick. Shoutout to Adonis who saw me waiting in line for a few mins, stopped what he was doing and rang me up on a different register Salad was GOOD. Tasted fresh, clean and healthy. Got the Super Green Goddess and added goat cheese It’s nice they have space for people to sit and hangout upstairs My FAVORITE part might be that tipping isn’t required! No prompt asking you to fork over 25% after you’ve already paid. Kinda refreshing when everyone else is ready to grab a tip.. even when half the experience is self serve lol

Google
This is my favorite location, but the nature of their setup is different than most other Sweetgreens where the food is prepared in front of you. It's still made fresh but I don't find the same quality and care is put into each bowl. I hope they get a little better in the future.

Google
When you get tired by eating only bread and bagels sweetgreen is a great alternative. The salad menu is really big with so many options. Every meal includes kcal and macros, which is great if you want to know what and how much do you put in your mouth. The taste is good

Google
5/14/24 I received my order on time today and noticed that they changed a container to a smaller size but price is higher. When I opened my order the broccoli was still frozen!!!!!!!! Can’t believe how unprofessional they are…. It says order is completed but I always have to wait another 20mins in the store and a lot of times, ingredients are missing. People are rude and so not worth for the price.

Google
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am Sweetgreen’s #1 fan, but I have never been so disappointed by a location. (For some reason they make the salads in the back, so you can’t see what/how much they’re putting, which allows them to get away with putting nothing in the bowl.) I got the Harvest bowl — Bowl is 2/3 empty, apples are mushy, chicken is the driest chicken I’ve actually ever had, and there were literally 4 small pieces of sweet potato. You guys should actually be ashamed of yourselves, this location is an embarrassment to Sweetgreen. You respond to all your negative reviews saying “Sorry, contact us for more information”, but you clearly haven’t made any effort to improve. Do NOT come here.

Yelp
I would stick to the salads at Sweetgreen. I recently had their caramelized garlic steak plate that was underwhelming; though, not bad tasting. The photos and advertisements raise expectations above what is delivered and, in this inflationary age, perhaps it was not realistic to expect anything above what was delivered for around $18. There are other fast fresh options that deliver more satisfaction in this price range. It's a competitive market. The place is spacious, with a dining area downstairs, and very clean. Ordering was simple; though, the person at the register was a bit disengaged. My order to go came up quickly in the afternoon lull between lunch and dinner. The plastic ware was a bit skimpy, owing to no one checking after the lunch rush. I got the last plastic knife and would soon realize I did not need the knife. I opened the very flat cardboard plate container and was immediately struck visually with how diminutive everything looked in comparison to the photos and advertisements. Fair enough, the wild rice was abundant as was the little ramekin of sauce. However, the steak was not the chunks you see advertised. The steak was diced into quarter to three eighths inch cubes and grouped into a little pile in one corner of this octagonal plate. The size of the little pile is about an ice cream scoop or a small clementine. The plum tomatoes in the photo are actually little grape tomatoes, not even cherry tomatoes. The broccoli florets are the tiniest little things. The sweet potatoes are not wedges, just little chunks slightly larger than the diced steak cubes. When everything is reduced in size to the bare minimum, you lose texture; the grain, flavor and tenderness of the meat are no longer evident; the tomatoes have no burst to them; and the broccoli florets become a bit wilted. I'll give them two and a half stars for being so clean and spacious, with quick service. Hard to top Sweetgreen for these qualities anywhere. Salads are clearly their strong suit. However, my suggestion is to take that steak plate back to the corporate drawing board so the consumer can taste all that slow cooked and tender caramelized garlic goodness that does not show up on the palate.

Yelp
sweet green bowls are delicious if you figured out what you like to eat based on how they cook it. This amount I received inside my bowl upon arrival is unacceptable and makes me not want to order here again. The photo don't justify how little was inside this bowl. I mean look where the food ends in the bowl, everyone else food was filled to the rim in my crew and I was sad to know this was not going to satisfy my hungry. Shaking my head.

Yelp
06/15/23: I believe I may have found my new lunch spot. Looking for a healthier lunch option without breaking the bank. Tried the BBQ chicken salad. I was pleasantly surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed will return. Dislike: the crunchy rice, the substitution as they didn't have the taco strips.

Sam K.

Yelp
The salads here are good, just like any sweetgreen location, but the service is sometimes slow. I'd recommend ordering for pickup, otherwise you may have to wait for your food. I ordered once in the store and had to wait about 20 minutes. Other than that, I've never really had an issue with this place, so I'm not sure why the ratings are so low. Their salads/ bowls are delicious, and they give you a pretty good amount (although it looks like a small portion). The chicken parm pesto bowl is my favorite, but sometimes I like to create my own salad.

Matt L.

Yelp
Horrible... only words I have to describe this god forsaken place. I get that sweet green is a chain and not every location is perfect but come on... empty store dead hours still somehow takes them 20+ minutes to give me my order and then it's wrong??? And then the staff acted entitled like I shouldn't have let them know they gave me the wrong item of food. What a joke hire people that can read please.

Shane W.

Yelp
Minus 1 star because you can't get a salad for under $15. Minus 1 star because a piece of bread on the side of your salad costs $2 extra when plenty of other salad places include bread free Minus 1 star for an always mediocre and minimal selection of salad ingredients and dressings. Minus 1 star because the employees who work at this location cannot spell. What language do they speak that an order with initials "S.W." is left in the pickup spots for A-F?

Gina L.

Yelp
Must order your food online either for pickup or delivery. You cannot order in the store. The food tastes great, but the workers are miserable and take it out on the customers. If you order for delivery, you will enjoy your food a lot and have zero complaints. If you wait in store or go here not realizing you cannot order in person, you will get an attitude, and you will have to wait 20 plus minutes for your food. Honestly though, they have some great toppings and dressings and their salads taste really good. No complaints about the food. Would be 4.5 if the issues above were addressed.

julia s.

Yelp
I ordered 2 things...only received 1 of the 2. The order took 15 minutes to make even though I was the only one of two people in the whole place. Staff does not pay attention to you when you are there during non-busy times.

Bill B.

Yelp
Awful experience today. Used the app and said order would be ready in 30 minutes (1:15pm) Arrived at restaurant and it was a mob scene. My order wasn't ready. At 1:27pm, the app updated saying my order was done and updated to say it was ready at 1:15pm. It wasn't. At 1:45pm, I told cashier I wanted a refund. She told me they don't offer refunds but would personally make my order. Ultimately received the order at 1:55pm. Between the "no refund" comment and fudging the times on the app, I will never go here again.

Katey G.

Yelp
This is the "experimental location" in NoMad where they mix the salad in the kitchen, rather than having customers order via an assembly line. I ordered a harvest bowl, and I when I received it - there was no sweet potato (my harvest bowl ppl know it's serious). That is very frustrating because had I been able to observe them creating the bowl, I could've alerted them it was missing sweet potato - or had they been out of sweet potato, I could have chosen a substitute versus being surprised when I got home. I never preorder sweetgreen for pickup, and I do not want to visit this experimental location again. Nearly every time I have preordered pickup or delivery - something is missing in the bowl (critical items... like wild rice in the harvest bowl). This is very frustrating. And, if I didn't love the sweetgreen recipes... I would not be such a frequent customer. I can't help it though - I'm a harvest bowl addict. I will say, Sweetgreen HQ is very responsive when you have complaints and I was refunded for my harvest bowl.

Aliza S.

Yelp
It tastes great and is a normal portion. It's an online only store. I don't see why it's only receiving bad reviews lately. They are probably under staffs like any company give the staff a break :)

Gabriella M.

Yelp
This location is near my office and they were great when they first opened. Colleagues and I have had multiple issues though since then. I would always get the Kale Caesar and it was my favorite salad. One of the last times I ordered from them, the chicken was just off and tasted different so this last time I ordered without the chicken. I was disappointed that most of the lettuce in my salad was not fresh and pretty brown. I also found a fly in my salad after I was mostly done eating. This is not the first time we have found a bug in one of our salads. A co-worker of mine found one a while ago and I did remember this instance but wanted to give them another try because I really did love their salads before. I emailed their customer service and a refund has been issued. I used to order from here weekly when they first opened because you could tell they used quality ingredients and everything was always amazing. Unfortunately, I've had too many unpleasant experiences to want to go back again.

Yelp
This is an interesting location at 2 Park Avenue. I did notice many of the newer location are almost made for the pandemic like no seating was even planned in the design of the place which was 1 year ago or more. The salad worked for me, I ordered the order with add avocado and a few extras and extra fish added as well. I will go back I am sure to this location soon but I have not been traveling into Manhattan as much compared to my average day 8 months ago let's say. Hopefully, the experience of others will continue to get better especially compared to the new Sweetgreen locations that have popped up since this place began their journey.

Li W.

Yelp
I've online ordered here for pick up a bunch of times, and it's been reliable every single time. They've always gotten my order exactly right and on time. I've never ordered in-person so I can't speak to the experience for that, but online ordering is so easy and quick, I highly recommend. The ceasar dressing is to die for. Avocado is $2 and expensive but #takemymoney.

Kevin Z.

Yelp
As part of a party of 3, I ordered a warm crispy rice bowl. It took 20 minutes for the food to come. The food was half cold by the time it arrived. That wasn't the worst part - I got sick and threw up afterwards, and I ate nothing else the few hours before throwing up. Pretty sure the food was a bit spoiled given that it was out for so long and every part of the dish was cold even though the dish said it was going to be warm.

Sadie V.

Yelp
Disappointed, I went in and was not greeted just stared at. Waiting at the register for someone to take my order and still getting stared at with no direction. I see another patron struggling with the app and asks an employee how to use the app. So I ask the employee, is nobody taking orders? She's like no we don't do that, you need the app. This is annoying and a huge inconvenience. I didn't like how I was stared down and treated so I left. Prob won't ever go back to a sweet green again. I tried.

Madison M.

Yelp
Don't order from this Sweetgreen. I order Sweetgreen often and I've never been so underwhelmed. This is how my Cobb salad with chicken looked upon opening. Such a disappointment and waste of $16.

Kevin S.

Yelp
This place sucks. Second time in a row not getting the blacked chicken in my bowl which is the most expensive part. They also did not mix in the dressing. Don't order from here.

Ilaria C.

Yelp
I used to enjoy salads at Sweet-green what I just receive is half the usual portion though. Never ordering from this store again.

Isabella P.

Yelp
By far the worse sweetgreen in NY. Please, put a new manager in the location. There's always a problem. Too much dressing, wrong items. The chicken is so dry they sent me today is like jerky. Pieces are often big as well.

Om L.

Yelp
Terrible inhumane service. Employees arguing and yelling at each other. Toxic environment. Unfriendly, interrupting customers mid-sentence, rude. In short TOXIC.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
New location alert!!! Had the great opportunity of being invited for the soft opening which was great for lunch. I've been to other SG locations and this one is a different feel for sure. Upon entering I noticed that the seating area was located in the upstairs area. They will be offering a sample tasting section each week for customers try different items of the menu in a small bite portion. On that day I was able to try the curry cauliflower with raisin and cucumber tahini dressing. So that's something to look forward to with each visit here as it can expand your palette and switch up your salad. The staff mentioned this is 3.0 version of the store (didn't realize when it even went to 2.0 hmm). Another big difference was how the order is placed, you go up to these small booth with staff who take your order on a tablet and you let them know all the customization and edits you want at that moment instead of the line staff making the salad directly in front of you. Once the order is placed, your name will appear on this screen while it's being prepared. When the salad is ready it is placed in the stands which is sectioned based on the first letter of the name provided (as other SG when you're picking up). I'm not sure how I feel about this yet as it takes away the interaction with the staff as they make the salad or if you need to add more dressing etc. ALSO....they will have a "market" section where the customer can purchase some packaged items like; parm crisp, hot sauce, dressing which was cool! Overall a nice location enjoyed the staff energy, however my order was not fully correct although it was all printed out on the receipt exactly as I asked. I'll have to try again in a future in that area.

Ameena D.

Yelp
Picked up lunch from this new location this past Saturday... Store itself is very nicely decorated. The adjacent marketplace was a bit sparse so I'm not really sure what the point of it is. Staff is friendly. Food is on par with other Sweetgreen locations. Now for the problem: The wait was unbelievably long and the store wasn't too busy.... with the exception of a ton of people waiting for their food. Ultimately this new "experience" didn't save anybody any time, if that was the point? Note to Sweetgreen: Can you PLEASE update your app so that I can order double rice? This will save me so much time waiting in your long lines...

Dionne H.

Yelp
i am a big sweetgreen fan. the staff was lively enthusiastic and very kind. paper menus were passed out so we could quickly decide but i already knew what i wanted. i ordered the chicken tostada salad with hot sauce and the jalapeno lime dressing on the side. i also got a ginger lime lemonade as a drink. i love the chipped ice that comes with their drinks. this location has some exclusive salads that are only sold there. there was a clean unisex bathroom sweetgreen is a great option if you are in the area

Sally C.

Yelp
We were so excited to have a healthy option before heading out of town. There was nobody working up front, but we happily downloaded the app. We tried adding items to the cart but kept getting an error message. After 5 minutes or so we hadn't seen anyone (although we heard voices in the kitchen). We wondered if it was actually closed (5pm on a Wednesday). When someone came out I asked if they were open, they said yes. I asked if we could order, and she asked if we could try again on the app because they really don't do orders in person. I tried the app (and so did another in our party), but we continued to get a network error. The person had gone back into the kitchen and never came back out. We called to them in the kitchen a few times and after another 5 or 10 minutes left and got food next door at Pret.

Chris L.

Yelp
The worse. Items missing from my order, the smallest portion ever and was late! They email saying your order is ready but upon arrival had to wait an additional ten mins. This is not the first time this has happened. I was trying to give them another chance. I suggest people try Dig Inn instead.

Alex L.

Yelp
I agree with other reviewers that this is the worst Sweetgreen in New York. Half the time my order is missing ingredients and most of the time I get half a salad instead of a full bowl...The salads and prices are much better down the street at Chopt.

Preeyam P.

Yelp
I had what I can only describe as a nightmare experience at this Sweetgreens location. I stopped by for a salad on the weekend. I ordered a harvest bowl, as per the menu ingredients. When I was asked if I had an allergy I said yes, walnuts. But since it's not an ingredient in the salad it shouldn't be a problem. Well I was told it would be best to write in there that I have an allergy just in case. I was brought the harvest salad + walnuts, then when I asked them to correct it I was brought the harvest salad + walnuts instead of almonds. Then I asked if there was some confusion and someone said they can't believe they had to make my shit again. Well I got the third salad and it still said "walnuts" on the tag even though I was told there weren't any in there. And I checked when I got home and there were walnuts in there. I sent a complaint to customer service online with a picture detailing everything. And I didn't receive any response. So apparently nobody gives a damn I almost died at sweet greens. It's time to do better.

Karen K.

Yelp
This location served as my FIRST Sweetgreen experience. Sad to say that they left me disappointed. Don't be fooled by their minimalistic and 'state of the art" technological approach. Their service is slow, they lack customer service skills, food is poor, and orders are almost NEVER correct! On multiple occasions now, my order has either been completely incorrect or very under-portioned. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Guacamole bowl and my order ended up being mixed up with another customer's. The pickup sticker which indicated my name was stuck on to a Harvest Bowl and vice versa with the other customer. The lady who the Harvest bowl belonged to ended up complaining to management. How can you be so inept? Their mobile/online ordering is no use either. I've placed orders for pickup at 1:15pm and they wouldn't even be ready until close to 2:00PM. To top it off, when back to work, I'd go to eat my salad and notice certain ingredients were missing! Staffing changes definitely need to be made as well. I've noticed workers mock customers and roll their eyes when a patron makes specific requests (I.E. no onions, almonds, extra bread, etc.) I gave them a few chances but ultimately I am rating them 2 stars. Extra star for the cleanliness and modern ambiance. Other than that, they have A LOT to improve on. Hopefully management takes things into account.

Lisa P.

Yelp
This location messes up my order on countless occasions. Today i decided to give them another try since I've been craving sweetgreen so much and there isn't many locations, esp in the Brooklyn, Bay Ridge area. So i came into work today into the city with hopes of enjoying my salad. Yet again they did not give me the requested spicy cashew dressing - meanwhile its written twice on the receipt and they gave me balsamic instead! Again annoyed and unhappy.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
2 stars - one star for the presentation of the store itself and for it's attempt at reinventing the wheel (no matter how unsuccessful) and one star for the quality of the ingredients. The negatives are abound for many of the same reasons already stated. Service is lacking because staff are disorganized (large, open plan space for ordering, picking up, getting samples, standing in line for all of the above, etc.). The difference in layout seems only to serve the purpose of removing any customer interaction and oversight over the salad making process so they can skimp on the ingredients. For a new store they could be forgiven, but this is an established franchize in a high-traffic neighborhood, where they are experimenting with an untested method: 1) order at a human functioning as a kiosk; 2) get a free sample while you wait for your food; 3) observe the single digital poster for your name to appear in one of three confusing categories; 4) pick up your order from cubby-holes designated in alphabetical order. Due to the distracting nature of the hoops they make you jump through just to get your order, you hardly notice until you get back to your office that the expensive ingredients you ordered are in tiny chunks at the bottom. $2.00 extra for avocado and I expect more than 1/4 avocado in cubes. Chicken and brussels as the namesake of the salad, then I expect more than 2 McD chicken nuggets' worth and 1/8 cup of Brussel sprouts buried under a mountain of arugula when the menu says mesclun. One day they at least told me they ran out of mesclun, and I asked to substitute with kale, but my salad came with arugula and quinoa, which latter ingredient was nowhere on the receipt conspicuously stuck to the bowl. The last straw was when I had to remind them I ordered a drink, saw them pick up a nearly empty pitcher, before filling the cup to the brim with ice and pouring the remnants of the pitcher into the glass as my drink. I would have waited for them to brew more or half-half with another drink, but it's not like they asked. Corporate needs to step in and overhaul this location or it won't last long.

Andrew G.

Yelp
I generally love sweetgreen as a company, but this location is really bad. Our pick up order took well over 30 minutes on a not so busy time for two salads. They were out of almost every topping you'd like in a moderately unhealthy salad and no bread option at all. My winter caesar had a really rank bit of squash that I had to spit out as it was rock hard and inedible. They also served this salad with almost no dressing which really iced the cake on this poor experience. Since I live so close I'm sure I'll be back, but they really have to whip this branch into shape as this was a really terrible experience.

Saasha G.

Yelp
Underwhelming to say the most! This place has disappointed me a couple times and it hasn't even been open for two months yet! I've been dying to try this place as my coworkers raves about the freshness of the food n quality. I first tried to get lunch with a free preview pass. I was a couple mins late and was refused since they were training. I then tried here after it opened. I looked up a spicy cashew chicken online and went into store hungry to order and was told they don't have it . That's weird! I ordered the salmon salad with heavy dressing and waiting in that cramped area like cattle waiting for my name to pop up on a board. I waited for about 10 mins and then my name was called. Looking at the salad I wasn't impressed. It was mixed to the point it wasn't recognized like the picture. I had to ask for more dressing too. The place is very gimmicky to me, this millennial way of ordering food is not for me. I took a card for 5 bucks off on the app in which I order the cashew chicken they the app and boom I got it that time... the salads don't taste any better than hh or chips or any other salad place...

Timbo V.

Yelp
Hey 2 Park sweetgreen managers, I hope you're reading this because we really want you to get your $#!T together and realize your true potential! As many others have said, this location is weak. Orders are wrong about half the time. Food is delayed more than half the time. Digital order tracking board is wrong most of the time. And the customer service is absent, rude, or clueless ALL the time. It says something when the only reliable info is from the other disgruntled customers, who on my last visit informed me their orders were up to one hour late. Which makes me think um, hey, maybe time to walk out on that salad? I did. Luckily the company has a liberal refund policy and has credited all of my messed-up orders so far. However, what I can't get back is the time I wasted waiting for these clowns to give me someone else's lunch order. Because they are literally across the street from me, and the salad is good when it's on point, I'm giving them one more strike. Will update you all on how that goes.

Jessica S.

Yelp
I passed by this location every day for months before they opened and was so excited to experience their new layout and ordering method, but like many other reviews have stated, it was an extremely underwhelming and disappointing experience. The food was fresh and tasty, but they forgot to add broccoli in my bowl (which I didn't realize until I got home), and the lady before me also complained that her salad wasn't prepared according to her order. It wasn't particularly busy, and there were many, MANY more staff than orders that were going out, and they seemed extremely distracted by the conversations they were having to notice that orders were incorrect and took way too long.

Ji Sung S.

Yelp
I do not recommend going to this location. The line is a mess. You start at one line, and then you need to cross over to another line where they take your order. I got the steelhead salad and it was a solid salad. A week later I ordered through the mobile app and when I took my salad home I noticed that the order was incorrect. Not sure if all these problems are fixed but I would avoid for the time being.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Waiting 20 minutes and still have not received my mobile order. Many others are waiting. Hopefully to salad is good.

Himali W.

Yelp
So I just had a terrible experience here. I had actually planned on grabbing lunch from Pret a Manger, which is right next door but saw this new location for sweetgreen. I had heard great things about it, and decided to give it a try. So my expectation at these places is that the food will be ready in about 10 minutes tops. I was waited there for 30 minutes before I got my food. Keep in mind, when I arrived, there was only one other customer there. Steadily it got busier, but there must be at least 30 people working there, in the kitchen and on the floor. They give this aura of technology and efficiency with their minimalist (cashless?) iPad registers, large monitors that are supposed to let you, the customer, know when your order is ready, and this shelf where orders are placed in alphabetical order. The reality is that they are totally disorganized. My order popped up as "ready" after a 20 minute wait (it wasn't ready), then after waiting more and then finally saying something, it turns out they completely lost my order, asking me what I had ordered (it was my first time there, I don't have the menu memorized). Eventually they hand me the wrong salad, but I'm too frustrated at this point to stay any longer. I noticed other customers having issues as well with misplaced salads (what's the point of an alphabetical system if you don't get it right?) and incorrect orders. tl;dr: I spent ~$15 and wasted 30 minutes for the wrong salad.

Brandon D.

Yelp
Sweetgreen has always been one of my favorite salad spots. The quality ingredients, local sourcing, and delicious flavors incorporated into the tasty menu items never leaves me unsatisfied. Plus, when a mistake is made they'll make up for it with an apology and a credit to your account to show their commitment to your satisfaction. I 100% recommend going here if you have the budget to do so. Pro tip: no chicken on your salad can play real nicely into a $10 lunch budget.

FU F.

Yelp
I ordered custom to go and when I opened my salad, nothing in it was what I ordered. Salads are made in the back so no idea if its clean or dirty. Ordering here is chaotic too. This sgs tried to be hip and innovative but nothing works.

Aneesh K.

Yelp
Came in for a Brussel and Chicken salad, which came missing most of the ingredients (including the Brussels Sprouts). Left the location without checking (stupid), and came home to a salad with just romaine, chicken, and cauliflower (where did that even come from?). VERY disappointed. I understand that this is a new location, but is there no quality control?

Yelp
Worst sweet green I been to. My salad came out empty just kale. It's dirty in there and they make your salad in the back so you cannot even see what's in it. Never again. Also there were people in there very upset due to long wait time despite place being empty. Other locations are just so much better

Yelp
Yikes, this place is a disaster. The service is pretty awful. You walk in, and there's one or two people standing there to take your order, and then you just kind of wander around. There's a screen that's supposed to show when your orders ready, but in my 3x I've been there, the screen is pointless. Usually they just have a worker walk out front and yell your name approx 15-20min after ordering. The food itself is ok. They've messed up my order 2 out of the 3 times I've been there. For example, I've ordered the harvest bowl (which is supposed to be warm) and it's freezing cold when I actually open it. Overall this place is a huge disappointment. I generally like SG, but I'll be sure to steer clear of this location going forward.

Yelp
The service was friendly and quick. I went with a friend for an early dinner. The salads both were so bland. I had the vegan Thai salad and my friend had some falafel salad. We both were disappointed. They don't have any salt in the place to add to the salad. How can you not have salt? Just another hyped up - not special chain.

Yelp
If you order from them make sure you are doing it at least 1 hour in advance. The first time I just walked in - got my food 40-45 minutes later. Thought I'd give them a second chance today, and ordered ahead this time. 45 minutes later, still no food. Next time I'm walking to Fresh & Co.

Yelp
So glad Sweetgreen has opened near me! I saw the sign out front a month or two ago and have been eagerly counting down the days. I was able to go to one of their preview days before the grand opening. They gave one free salad to each attendee! I got a Harvest Bowl (wild rice, kale, apples, chicken, goat cheese, sweet potato), which was delicious. The location is structured a little differently than others - they have a "Market" where they offer samples of a different salad each day, and instead of going through the assembly line to pick your ingredients, you go straight to a cashier with an iPad to place your order. There's a nice seating area on the second floor, but I imagine most who come to this location are probably getting a work lunch. Download the app and order ahead to avoid waiting in the (certain to be long) line!

Yelp
This sweet green always messes up my orders, is always out of stock of everything, takes so long, and doesn't even have ordering in person. Everything is always cold if I get it delivered and even sometimes when I pick up ASAP which makes no sense.

Yelp
This has to be the worst sweetgreen in the world. Horrible the food portion was extremely small for paying over $25 for delivery for one meal. The chicken was a tiny piece of burnt cardboard. The whole meal was cold and they placed the sauces inside the dish to take up even more room instead of filling it with food. Usually sweetgreen is stingy with the meat but this was an all time low not ordering from any again!

Yelp
Still can't get their shit together. Ordered at noon for a 12:30 pickup, still waiting at 12:40. No one will help, they've been putting out 12:45 orders before the 12:30. Utter chaos.

Yelp
No one in this location has any idea what they're doing. I ordered on the app for pickup at a certain time, ordering hours ahead of time. Ten minutes pass, and my order isn't there, but my name appears on their digital board saying my order is available for pickup. After ten more minutes, I really need to get back to work, so I ask one of the few employees on the floor for a refund or my salad. She says, "Um...I don't know," and literally walks away from me. At this point, I am one of a dozen people whose salads were all supposed to be ready at the same time (almost half an hour ago), and no one's salad is there, and no one who works in the store knows why. We were eventually just told to email a certain email address for a refund (which I haven't received yet). We were also told the digital board is "always wrong," so I don't why they have it. Lunchtime rush in Manhattan can be busy, but I've never dealt with anything this absurd and so many people in one store all unapologetically telling you they have no idea what to do and staring at you as if you should figure it out. Head to Just Salad or Chopt or one of 100 other salad options.
