Went here on Monday lunch hour rush time and that is generally a good test for an outlet like sweetgreen. Not very impressed with how they were handling it. The place was a bit messy and they were handling food with a lot of rush. The take out container was already leaking by the time I got it. I took hot honey chicken but there was nothing hot about it. I don't know if they just missed any hot sauce. Irrespective of that food was actually good. If you want to have a great tasting healthy meal, this place is not a bad option.

Wow I’m so glad this is here! Great concept and really great salads! However the place was a mess and they didn’t seem to care to keep it clean. But I do love the options for your salad

placed an order with Uber eats for Chicken Pesto Parm and Buffalo Chicken Salad. Less than 1 oz of chicken on each salad. So disappointing. This is the second time I've had poor portions from Sweetgreens. You've lost a customer. Attaching pictures and please do not mistake the croutons for cold chicken.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service my wife and I received during our recent visit to your Sweetgreen branch located at 171 2nd St, San Francisco, CA 94105. Our experience was not only disappointing but also disturbing due to a series of unprofessional behaviors exhibited by your staff. Upon our arrival, we were keen to enjoy a healthy dinner, specifically the miso glazed salmon. However, a male staff member with brunette hair curtly informed us that the salmon, along with all other fish options, was unavailable. This was perplexing, especially as we could visibly see a variety of salads prepared in the back. His communication was not only misleading but also abruptly ceased as he resorted to what appeared to be sign language, making us feel as if we were the ones at fault for misunderstanding. The situation escalated when a female employee, possibly of Indian descent, intervened. Initially, she corrected the misinformation by confirming the availability of the miso glazed salmon. However, the service did not improve from there. She assumed our choice of rice without inquiry, and upon our request for quinoa, she carelessly mixed it with the remaining white rice in our bowl - a clear disregard for food hygiene and customer preference. Moreover, her manner of adding ingredients to our bowl was haphazard and inattentive, as if 'throwing' them in without care. It was evident that she barely engaged with us to understand our choices, a fundamental aspect of customer service. When we requested our bowl to be mixed, the initial male employee dismissively shook his head without uttering a word - an epitome of unhelpfulness and indifference. The culmination of our visit was the aggressive manner in which our bowl was sealed, akin to tightening a tire cap, a final testament to the lack of consideration we felt throughout our visit. It was clear from the demeanor of these employees that they were neither friendly nor hospitable, seemingly detesting their job. Such an experience is unacceptable and not what we expect from a reputable establishment like Sweetgreen, known for promoting healthy living and positive customer experiences. We hope our feedback is taken seriously, and immediate actions are taken to address these issues to prevent future patrons from having a similarly disheartening experience.

as it’s just down the street from where I’m staying I decided to check it out ordered one of their southwest chicken fajita protein plates as it was hero’d everywhere in the space. it was delicious, a decent amount of chicken (protein), but I’d say lacking in the rice and veggies I left at around 8/10 full so had to give it a 8/10. if there was more food would’ve given the 10/10 recommend

Great salads and service!! Highly recommended!!

During this period I was able to try the honey chicken and the BBQ Chicken + Squash plate. The only real difference I found was the sauce provided, otherwise give off the same vibe—lots of chicken, clean, and filling. All you can ask for!

Family lunch, 2 adults+2 kids. Ordered 3 salads, so we could split one of them among the 2 kids. We were offered an extra container to help split the food. We were offered a complimentary bowl with some fruit for the kids. Nice detail! The salads were good, large portions, though the key ingredient in each salad was scarce, especially the avocado and chicken. Staff was friendly. The place was clean and mostly empty, so it was easy to find a place to sit (7 tables in total), and the sitting stairs (which have plenty of outlets to connect your device)

Food - ordered the chicken pesto parm bowl and it was so good! I'm not a big fan of cheese, so I opted out of the parm but they were nice enough to substitute it with an egg! Tasted delicious and fresh Service - super quick and easy Ambiance - nice and clean

Staff is friendly and the AC felt nice during our heatwave, but the food was mediocre. We got the autumn harvest bowl and a shroomami with added chicken. The autumn harvest bowl felt like it was missing something - maybe avocado? And the shroomami bowl was wayyy too salty. I used to like coming here (pre-pandemic), but now would rather go to Mendocino farms a couple blocks away.

Kiki is so wonderful! She made the whole ordering experience so pleasant, she's such a great person and SweetGreens definitely has a gem. Laybron too!! Thank you!!

This is one of the best fast casual restaurants in the city. I order from here whenever I want to detox or just get a super healthy meal. A customized shroomami bowl is my go-to. I like to replace the kale, cabbage, and almonds with arugula, spicy broccoli, and cilantro, and I omit the dressing. The result is a bowl packed full of greens and no less flavour for the win.

It's a reliable bowl of healthy and fairly tasty food! It's a dent on the wallet for a salad for sure, but a girl gotta eat lunch if she forgot to pack and wants to eat healthy. The harvest bowl is usually my go-to! The seasonal autumn harvest bowl is good too. I usually order for pick up and it's super convenient. The space at this location is nice to dine in at as well and there's some outdoor seating too.

Mediocre salads complemented by unfriendly staff. Also can't get my head around how they cook the steak to be so textureless and flavorless at the same time. No offense intended if you enjoy Sweetgreen as a meal though, carry on.

I ordered the caramelized garlic steak bowl and kale caesar steak salad. I don't recommend either of these. My caramelized garlic steak bowl was supposed to come with wild rice, but I got mushy white rice instead. The sweet potatoes were so raw and hard that I couldn't eat any of it. What a disappointment! The kale caesar steak salad was just okay, but the steak had an odd rubbery texture to it and didn't taste fresh. I've had better experiences at other sweetgreen locations. I won't order from this location again.

Sweetgreen is a great go-to for a quick, fresh lunch. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure orders are right every time. The salads are always flavorful, and I especially love the steak when it's cooked to my preference. It's not the absolute best salad in town, but it definitely hits the spot for a healthy option in FiDi. The ambiance is lively with a steady buzz of lunchtime crowds, perfect for a refreshing break from the usual.

Definitely got short changed today, they filled below the fill line and the portion wasn't the same as it usually it. The Salmon was WAYY overcooked and i found a fragment of and avocado pit that could've hurt my tooth had I not been careful. The Cesar salad dressing was way off as well and was really watery. Mixt is better and will be going there from now on

I was craving a salad and ordered one through the sweetgreen app. It took an hour and a half for my order to be completed since there were other orders to be prepared. I ordered a Caesar salad and was so excited to eat it! I walked to the restaurant during my lunch break and got my food, but once I got back to the office and opened my bowl it was not what I ordered. I was annoyed because of this and had to walk back over during my lunch break to correct my order! Once there, I let the employee know about my order being incorrect and they corrected it, but they did not seem apologetic about the mix up. Once my order was corrected by Caesar salad was delicious! I wish I would have added an extra dressing but overall it was great! I'm hesitant coming to this restaurant especially since I paid $20 for a salad and for the customer service to be below par.

One of the few healthy places to grab and go downtown. I order ahead of time on the sweetgreen app and my meal is always ready for pickup earlier than the selected time and ready for pickup on the order pick up shelf so I can order and grab my lunch without ever having to talk to a human. The interior is always clean with plenty of seating, napkins, and utensils.

Got a nice harvest bowl! It's next to Salesforce park and a nice place to have lunch with friends outdoors I enjoyed this combination of sweet potatoes, chicken, kale, balsamic vinegar, rice, almonds, and goat cheese!! Comes with a nice hexagon shaped bowl

Amazingly fresh & delicious salads although a bit pricey. The ingredients are super fresh! After my first time there I learned to ask for half portions instead & that was just the right amount for me. Take your food up to Salesforce Park nearby & have a picnic!!

0 stars if I could. My office is above this Sweetgreen, and Sweetgreen uses the lobby to store their trash cans. See photos - 10+ garbage cans in the lobby (and I had to move one with my foot so that I could get past the lobby door), and 1 open one in the elevator. This happens every morning. The smell is disgusting and an indication of the bad food that Sweetgreen serves. I used to love sweetgreen, consistently ordering every week, but this behavior puts a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally. The salads taste pretty foul. I'd recommend Mixt.

Always a great place to have a big hearty salad! I came here for a quick dinner. They were buzzing with delivery and pick-up orders.

Small portion for $15?! Yelp needs to update their price since it's not $12.95 anymore. We left really disappointed and being hungry afterwards. My boyfriend got the chicken pesto parm bowl and it's only like half the bowl (see picture below, it's the 2nd photo ) he finished it in less than 5 minutes. The first time we came here was fine , but 2nd time was so depressing. Are they skimping on the portion and increasing the price? This is actually the case study for shrinkflation..I would not recommend coming here if you want to pay overprice food and left looking for more food. Why waste money here when you find another place that gives you bigger portion for reasonable price?!

Am I going crazy? Have I just become a grumpy old person? Or is everyone else here just somehow gaslighting me into thinking an appetizer-sized $18 salad is normal and OK? Sweetgreen is pretty yummy. They used to have massive portions -- so much so that I'd have to save half of it for lunch the next day. Those were the good ol' days. Now, they've changed out their plastic lid for a compostable one not for the environment like I thought, but to hide that the salad only goes up halfway This is my rage post. I wanted to give fewer stars, but realistically it is still a solid 3/5 good reliable food. 4/5 if you're a tech bro with endless cash to throw around and value convenience and don't value reinvesting by spending on small business.

We ordered delivery for the office through one of the apps. There wasnt a lot that really jumped out at me on the menu. Standard salad fair in the marina. However the hot honey chicken sounded great so i got that. It's not plated in the most glamorous way, but it tastes great. The honey mustard dressing is not hot at all. (Which as someone who can't handle spice I am thrilled for that. Would get this one again.

My first time to try it, though I have heard about this popular salad restaurant for a long time. I ordered a miso bowl. The serving size was larger than I expected. With $14.95, this is very reasonable. The ingredients in my salad were all fresh and tasted not bad. Besides, the restaurant was minimally decorated and created an atmosphere resembling nature. I also like their displaying where the ingredients come from. The stuff were also trained and made my salad quickly. So in general I think this place is a good choice for a convenient and healthy meal. Another good thing is that all bowls and plates are labeled with calories. Still it might be better if they could indicate the calories of their dressing, as I saw several (including me) asking dressing on the side.

Bad service. Empty restaurant but I came to pick up an order and they said I had to wait 45 min until the "correct pickup time" even though there was quite literally no one in the restaurant and I wasn't even shown a designated pick up time in the app

I frequently order from this place and it consistently delivers! They give generous portions, although the price point generally reflects this as well. I usually choose one of the menu options when I walk in (haven't ordered online, but tip taken from some of you other reviewers!) Last time I was there I got the chicken and brussels and it was pretty good with the cranberry dressing! I ordered towards the end of the day and actually got a free dessert, which was dy-no-mite. Highly recommend their take on the rice crispy treat! I think the appeal of sweetgreen is its chain-wide consistency and reliability, and this instantiation delivers on those traits. Perhaps it's a victim of being in downtown SF, but I just wish they could set these prices a littleeee cheaper so I could justify eating here more often!

Usually don't have problems with Sweetgreen but I ordered a salad with salmon and the salmon was very hard and extremely fishy smelling. I shouldn't have to cut salmon with a knife which leads me to believe they didn't cook or at least reheat it properly. Overall the proteins are decent but could definitely use a quality improvement.

Your typical overpriced SF salad, but it's damn good & large portion size!! Always order ahead on the app or online and pick up otherwise you will wind up waiting in line for way too long (20+ mins) at lunch time. Or order to your local outpost at your office (if you are lucky enough to have that) and have it delivered You can completely customize your own salad with a variety of proteins and types of lettuce and veggies to choose from. All of their dressings are delicious. My all time favorite is the guacamole greens with a side of hot sauce, sub the normal chicken for blackened chicken in any salad & always ask for bread. People rave about the Kale Caesar but I think it's too plain and I can't say it's my favorite. Hot honey chicken plate is yummy, same with crispy rice bowl & chicken pesto parm! Pro tip: there are actually some seasonal salads that are exclusive to the app - definitely check out!

Honestly, I had a piss poor experience coming here last weekend. My fiancé and I decided to get something light to eat since we had to do something later and we wanted to join the celebration downtown for SF Pride. We figured having a salad would be nice. The restaurant mostly had people eating already and there wasn't a line at all. We were greeted by someone who asked us what we wanted, but it took us a few more minutes to figure out what we wanted. I ended up getting the Guacamole Greens and my fiancé got the Garden Cobb. *skip the next paragraphs if you wanna read the review of the salads instead* I wasn't so sure if the worker was new or just over the day, but he was a bit confused making our salads. Granted if he was new, that's totally fine. He did make my salad first and it seemed like he added everything, but when it came to my fiancé's, he threw away the first salad bowl he made. He ended up doing another one since he grabbed the wrong salad mix. When it was time to start adding dressings and other toppings, he ended up getting confused with both of our salads and added things my boyfriend didn't want in his salad (Ex: almonds), and didn't seem that apologetic. His other colleague pointed out how he grabbed the wrong dressing that my fiancé wanted and almost used it instead of the goddess ranch dressing. My fiancé asked for a bit more, and it was just a small squirt. When it came to mine, it seemed okay tbh, but the attitude of the worker making our salads rubbed us the wrong way. Even when my fiancé asked for water cups, he ended up just telling him to ask someone else. *END RANT - FOOD REVIEW BELOW* Despite the odd service, the salads were okay tbh nothing exciting or mind blowing about these salads. Although they are filling to an extent, I don't think it's worth the $35 we paid. It didn't seem like we got a lot of protein in ours. I might have selected the wrong salad and I may have to try their warm bowls next time, but you can def go to other salad places.

I got the Crispy Rice Bowl which was $13.95 This was my first time having Sweetgreen. It came with arugula, wild rice, chicken, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, almond, lime, and cilantro. I really enjoyed it but I didn't like one of the toppings in it. I'm not sure what it is but in the picture, it's in between the two containers. It had a crunchy texture which is why I didn't like it (I also don't like croutons in my salad so that's why I didn't like this haha).

Food is not tasty, very bland. Chicken and steak are not grilled but feel like boyled. Priices are high, not worth it.

I came here at around 4 pm with my friend for a late lunch and there was no line. They ask how heavy you like your dressing and there's an option for a slice of bread to be added free of charge. My friend got the Harvest bowl which was delicious because it had cheese. I got the crispy rice bowl which was okay in taste (3/5). This place is kinda pricey for a salad but it was nearby and we wanted something healthy. We ended up eating inside and it was pretty clean. I'd come back again if I'm in the area and want a healthy lunch!

I ordered delivery from the website last night. It did not tell me which store the food was coming from or that the store they would deliver from was closed. When I placed the order, only then did it say that the order would be delivered tomorrow (today at 11 am). If I had known that, I never would have placed the order. When I clicked the 'cancel order' button, it took me to a chat bot that did nothing but say an open ticket was created. I can't even call the store or customer service directly because everything is an automated service. So the food was delivered to my workplace when I wouldn't be there. I've tried contacting them via app, phone, email as well as Twitter but no response. === It took two days to get an email response about a refund. In the email, they said to text them for issues such as this - which I did! And it got me nowhere because it is automated. So the low rating is for the headache & hassle of their automated contact points/customer service and the long response time.

Starting off the year with a little bit of a health kick. I'm not much of a salad person but I was pleasantly suprised when I had this one. The kale was well massaged so it had a soft texture. I added in some carrots, spicy broccoli, and roasted sweet potatoes for some variety. The miso ginger dressing was delicious and provided an awesome amount of overall flavoring. The portions were pretty big and the pricing is fair considering some places charge the same price for half the size in a little plastic box. Their to-go items are compostable. Service was nice from what I experienced. I was greeted kindly and assisted as needed. I did order via Doordash for pick up and was a little confused on the process at first. There are two pick up carts. For Doordash, it is on the left side of the entrance. Their paper bags are a cute green color. I think this will be a new healthy option for me if I ever need a quick stop for food in the area!

I got the salmon plate and it was soooo delicious! They give you a pretty large piece of salmon which was cooked and seasoned so well. I also added extra toppings and everything was very decent portions sizes. The one warning I have is order ahead during lunch time. We ordered through the app and had an eta of about an hour. When we got there the line was out the door and around the corner for walk ins!

Always check your order This is the second time this happened. Was looking forward to chicken salad, but guess I'm going vegetarian today as they forgot both the chicken and the sweet potato. This is a sad day for me. Update - SG customer service did provide a $20 credit to correct the error. That was nice of them. Less sad now.

Ugh I love SweetGreens!! There's definitely a long line during the rush hours but TIP: if you order online for pickup then it's way more efficient. ALSO, there's some special deals on the website for salad flavors they're testing or ones that need sales boosted. So like salads for $10-$12, not bad. It's hard for me to go to any other restaurant nearby for work lunch when sweet greens is right there

The salads are delicious, but they are always out of stock of some ingredient and the server doesn't tell you until it's too late. They were out of stock of Caesar salad dressing for a week, and another few times they were out of bread. This is during the middle of the day that they run out of ingredients. I would appreciate it if the server would inform me from the beginning and not halfway through the order. And it doesn't help that the server appears to not care.

Older than their other location on Folsom & Main, but the food quality is still good. There's always a long line during lunch thanks to all the offices nearby, so pre-ordering via their app is best. Plus the app has access to app-only items and rewards with purchase every now and then. Awesome salads, warm bowls, and crispy rice treat. But the Buffalo Cauliflower is disappointing and served cold. Complimentary water dispenser located near the utensils. There's also 2 single stall restrooms for customers in the back. They're sort of hidden, but one still wasn't that clean during lunchtime.

I typically love Sweetgreen, but this experience has changed that until the staff changes or this server is fired. He was rude, couldn't answer basic questions, and was aggressive like he wanted to fight. All we wanted was to order a salad. He didn't want to work anymore or was racist against Black and Asian people. Sweetgreen should do better; it is 2023--poor ambiance with these types of people serving.

the food is good if u enjoy finding hairs & acrylic nails in your salad. very few workers actually care about their job. the "manager" (asian mid thirties female) is always condescending without fail & the dirty looks upon entering didn't add to the ambiance. Tip: try not to visit this place between 11:30am-1pm bc u will be waiting 30 minutes for a basically inedible, overpriced salad. unless you are an overpaid techy that works in the area don't even bother visiting this place because the customers are rude & the employees aren't any better!

Sweet green was absolutely delicious! I stopped by during a quick work lunch and was SO happy with the food! Although it is a bit on the pricier side for food, the portion side and quality of ingredients was well worth it. Plus, considering if was in San Francisco, I think it was fairly priced! If you're planning to meet with a friend or co-worker at the restaurant, I'd recommend avoiding lunch hour, as it's a bit loud and busy. Other than that, the restaurant is really pleasant! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I frequently order from sweet greens! Generous portions. I customize my salad/bowl. Super filling and a go-to build your own salad place. This specific SF location is always crowded so not sure how enjoyable the dine in ambiance is. Most of the time I just order through door dash for convenience.

At first glance, Sweetgreen is okay. Definitely healthy, menu seems to have a lot of options, most of my colleagues really like it. While it's not my personal favorite, I usually find something I like. However, I am particularly frustrated with this location. I ordered a salad for my boss with grilled chicken, onions, avocado, tortilla chips. Instead, they sent her a plate of lettuce with none of the toppings (see picture). Let's just say she was hungry and displeased...

Kinda pricey, but their salads are fresh and tasty! Nothing like a salad made just the way you like it.

Sweetgreen has wonderful salads that keep me refreshed during the day, so I don't get the after lunch coma. Although most of the salads I order are seasonal, I am a sucker for the Peach and Burrata Salad Bowl. It's delicious, light, yet rich and very filling. I love it and always order it when available. My coworkers like to make their own salads, so they can add and remove items that they do not want. You can really have it your way.

Easily the worst place for a salad in all of SF. The quality of the ingredients at Sweetgreen is so bad. Are they really trying to cut corners and save a few Pennie's by buying the cheapest and lowest quality produce they can find?? SOMA has tons of salad options for lunch (MIXT is my favorite), and every other option is going to taste better than here. If you care about freshness and quality, definitely don't come here.

Ordered via delivery and dined in person. We really like sweetgreen. They serve delicious and healthy food. I really like their salads with goddess dressing.
