Sweetie's K-Chicken

Cute little spot, great food. The vibes were chill and the service was great. I loved the mozzarella Korean corn dog. I was hesitant in the sugar but it actually set really well with the potato and mozzarella. The honey butter poppers were a little sweeter than I expected. Nevertheless, they were fresh and juicy with a soft crunchy finish. The spicy soy garlic wings were the real star of the show. I was absolutely wowed. I definitely recommend this place when you’re on this side of Brooklyn or if you feel like making a little trip.

Had the sojuchang poppers. The first few were good but the sweet sauce started to taste a little heavy and cloying by the halfway mark. One of the better fried chicken I’ve had in NY but I’m still in search for the holy grail crisp light batter. Place seems popular enough though. Heard a diner remarking that the food tasted a hundred dollar’s worth. I do think it’s good quality for the price.

First visit: Ordered the Soy Garlic Chicken Bowl and at the nudging of the poster saying TRY 'EM SPICY!, I chose spicy. It is very spicy, those three flames don't lie, I knew my stomach wouldn't be happy about halfway through. Chicken was crunchy, initial soy garlic flavor was good, then it got drowned out by the spice and that's all I could taste - I regretted not getting Regular. For the price, I wish the bowl came with coleslaw included because I like having a vegetable component with my protein and rice. I didn't realize how much I'd miss having pickled white radish with my Korean fried chicken until that moment.

I order delivery from here often. I can't help it the food is always so good and every time I order it is always consistent. Portions are perfect. The Chicken over rice is by far my favorite dish on this menu. I keep ordering it again and again. The corn dogs are great. The fried chicken is always crispy and tender and packed with flavor. They have so many sauces to pair the chicken with. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and please do.

Good chicken! The wings (4.5/5) were really moist and crispy with the soy garlic sauce. The chicken thigh poppers (4/5 and $15) were good but a little dry and too expensive. Get a dry coating on top of it because the Gochujang sauce made the breading soggy. The wings (4.5/5) were really nice with the soy garlic sauce.

So we here at Instagrams @Colonialfoods heard about this Korean chicken place- “Sweetie's K Chicken”. We set out to have an adventure! When we got there a very nice young man took our order. He was very patient as we really didn’t know what to order and we couldn’t pronounce some of the food names. I went with the Soy Garlic Chicken Bowl, Nicky got the Gochujang Poppers. We sat and waited for our order to be ready as one guest after another entered and soon the line was to the door! We didn’t have to wait long, the kitchen to table wait time is literally a couple of minutes! Both entrees literally exploded with flavor. We both ordered our meals spicy, and wow was that a great idea! We tried each others food because we couldn’t believe how delicious everything was. Each piece of chicken was crunchy, bursting with the delicious authentic sauces they were tossed in! The prices were reasonable and we left feeling full! Are we going back? YES!! Did we mind the 50 minute drive from Long Island to get there? HECK NO!! Worth every bit of the drive! Should you hop in your car and go there?? MOST DEFINITELY!!

I love fried chicken, and this may be the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! So flavorful and juicy, but crispy without being heavy or oily. I am a self proclaimed corn dog skeptic but I truly enjoyed every bite of the one being sold here- again, crispy and light without feeling heavy or dense. I definitely recommend Sweetie’s K-chicken to everyone and anyone! The staff was really helpful and kind, and the store’s decor is really cute too :)

A very cozy experience with yummy food! Got a glimpse into the kitchen and saw Korean moms making our food, added to the homey feel of their service :) Corn dog was delicious, ordered the mozzarella and a half&half. Sauce and sugar topping were subtle and yummy. They also gave us a chicken wing sample. All of the staff is so sweet ❤️

I've been following Jinny on TikTok before she opened this shop because how entertaining of a dancer she was and how cute she was with her spouse. When I saw she started to post tiktoks of her opening this shop and then finding out about Sweetie's I knew I had to try this place at least once! I unfortunately live in queens and know this place is located in Brooklyn so it's been living in my bookmarks forever. But I was lucky to know this weekend that Brooklyn mirage had a pop up for Sweetie's and I made it a point to ask the moment I got in for Sunday Illenium when they were closing- so I was able to pick some chicken up before I left which by the recommendation of the staff, I got the honey butter chicken poppers! It was the best thing my mouth has touched for a hot minute. I also recommend they're amazing in delicious sauces!! And I've been thinking about the chicken since...so as I write this review I'm ordering the honey chicken poppers AND the gochujang to be delivered by uber eats. I can't wait to eat more of it because it's that addicting!!

It was fine. Good fast casual place. Not the best I've ever had, but if you want Korean chicken or a Korean corn dog, this will meet the craving. I passed this place a few times and wanted to try it. I got the soy garlic wings. I like that you can get them spicy or hot. I didn't get any sides with them, tho I wish I did. They were good enough but kinda bland just eating them alone. I also got a Korean corn dog which was good. They have several sauces at the table but if you're taking your order to go, there's no little containers you can use to fill up sauces in. You need to buy them, which kinda sucks.

Cute and modern shop with a variety of Korean finger food and snacks. Everything is cooked fresh, so expect a little wait. Food was just alright - sauce on the wings was decent but didn't penetrate into the meat. The bulgogi meat was a little thick for my liking, slightly chewier than expected.

The dogs were pretty good to try, but the ratio of sausage to cheese was a little off. Honestly the highlight was the soy chicken... one of the best chicken popcorns that I've ever had. Highly recommend getting it!

This place is super chill clean easy to find. You can't miss the two cute faces hanging on the side of the awning. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great made fresh and super delicious. I purchased the soy garlic chicken bowl and the spicy soy garlic poppers and two beverages and spent a total of 42.48 it was a good portion and so worth it!

I've been wanting to try out this place so randomly stopped by here for lunch. I got the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken Bowl. The chicken was actually so delicious and great quality. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy on the inside. I tried all their fun sauces, but was honestly not super impressed. They were almost too saucy/creamy and took away from the chicken. The original soy garlic flavor on the chicken is perfect as is!

So good mane. The chicken is crunchy, flavorful, and juicy. The gochujang is sweet, spicy, and nicely salted. Overall a delicious meal. The ambiance is cute and someone clearly thought a lot about it. Highly recommend !!

A relatively new Korean chicken joint in Williamsburg Casual and cute interior I got the Gochujang Poppers (regular spicy level), they used dark thigh meat and it is very juicy. Saucy and fresh out of the fryer, so be care of not to burn your mouth Just enough heat to get you sweat slightly Will be returning to try more!

I went on a Saturday night around 5pm. There was only one person working in the front and maybe 1 or 2 in the kitchen so the food came out slowly, but I didn't mind the wait because the food was good. There's a few tables to sit at, but it seems like mostly a takeout spot, since many drivers came to pick up food. Their sauces suited the flavors of their fried food, since they were all sweet. My favorites were the Spicy Cheddar Cheese and Spicy Honey Mustard. I would come back to try their other dishes. * Original and Potato Corn Dog - 8.5/10 - I like the half sausage and half mozzarella combo, and the cheese pull was perfect! The outside was super crispy, but it's a bit greasy and heavy. * Chicken Sandwich Combo - 9/10 - I wish they would use a chicken breast or thigh instead of tenders, because the small tenders kept falling out of the sandwich. The combination of the coleslaw and sauce went well with the fried chicken, and the fries were pretty crispy.

One of our favorite Korean fried chicken spots in New York! I also did not expect this, but the tteokbokki is legit, better than anything we've tried in K-town.

Came in the last hour of closing and there was still people coming in to order. The sign says 10-15 minutes wait but it came out much quicker than that. It was piping hot! I got the 8 piece crispy wings. They had sauces throughout the place to put on the KFC. The wings were very crisp, juicy, and meaty. I used the spicy cheddar sauce the whole time. It was spicy and sweet. I really didn't taste the cheddar.

I LOVE SWEETIE'S! I first visited through yelp and my boyfriend and I split a K dog. For months he continued to badger me, asking when we'll go back again. Lucky for me, I was a short ways away twice in one week, and got to visit twice again. My boyfriend and I went back for two dogs, and their fried chicken. It was absolutely delicious, after a long day of manual labor it was deserved. Sweetie's is a casual space with a lot of seating. You may walk in thinking it's empty, but if your experience is anything like mine you'll turn around after ordering to a line behind you. Everything is always fresh, so it takes a couple of minutes to prepare. I prefer the cheese dogs (only) - it's the most amazing combination of fried dough, cheese, sugar, and spicy sauce. The sauce! This is what sold me at my first visit. Try to eat there, if you can, and try all of the glorious sauces they have to offer. I'm starving right now writing this. l may even walk over for one now.. This is a must try if you're a k-dog lover or are k-dog-curious.

When I tell you I enjoyed every bite and morsel of the chicken poppers, it's unreal! My favorite was the soy garlic. They were very accommodating, even when I made the special request of ordering the honey-butter chicken (dry rub) with Gochujang sauce drizzled over the top. This just about tied with the soy garlic! I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Dan and his wife Jenny. They are beautiful people, inside and out! The staff is nothing short of amazing, and the customer service is absolutely stellar. This place is a must-try if you ever find yourself in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn! I say, just go, even if you're not in the Greenpoint area! You won't regret it! :) ALL of the food was delightful!!! You don't believe me go try it! Real ish!

A top pick in Brooklyn, this spot stands out among Korean eateries for its delicious offerings at decent prices. The bulgogi bowl, marinated to perfection, is a hearty and flavorful delight, especially when paired with the spicy rice cakes. While the potato dog was not my favorite, the beef bowl and spicy rice cakes stole the show. Quick service made every bite enjoyable. Limited seating is the only downside, but it's a definite must-try.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Had wanted to try this place for a while after seeing an IG post. Glad that I finally had a chance. The soy garlic wings were crispy, flavorful, juicy and delicious. The tenders were fresh, incredibly juicy though it could have used a little bit more flavor. I tried a corndog for the first time and it was awesome. Tried the half mozzarella and half beef, which was sweet and savory. I'm definitely coming back here again.

No seasoning on food is crazy lol. Especially fried chicken. Like come on, that's wild. But the food is fresh as ever and hot as in prepped per order. I ate my food in the restaurant and since the portion of chicken tenders and French fries was quite large, I reheated and ate some of the tenders at home. They tasted just as fresh as ever. So the main thing with this eatery is that the food is fresh!! Also, the food is served in a timely manner and I received great customer service. If I'm ever craving plain plain fried chicken that is very fresh, I'd come here. And when I say plain I do mean absolutely minimal if no seasoning. Still, the chicken is cooked to perfection, tender and again fresh.

Sweetie's K-Chicken serves up some solid chicken. I'm a fan of the different sauces and different chicken types. There's plenty of seating, and the chicken is crispy and juicy.

So far this has been the best Korean fried chicken I ever had. I don't normally get boneless chicken but omg it was juicy and very flavorful. Me and my fiancé got the soy garlic flavor. You cannot go wrong that is the best flavor in my opinion. We will definitely go back!

I have seen this restaurant on my Yelp ig page and I was immediately attracted to this place. The chicken looks sooo good. It is a train ride away from me but I just knew I had to make the trip. My intent was to get the wings but I also couldn't help but get the poppers. I ordered to go. Once home like 30mins later I did have to warm up the chicken again. I was told I didn't need any extra sauce but I got a small squirt of 2 sauces into my to-go box. I can't really say the sauces made a difference. My wings were the soy garlic. They were ok. Thr chicken itself had no real flavor. And I had the poppers which were spicier and over all more enjoyable. I def prefer the poppers. Easier to eat and also I love the spicy. I would get those again. The corn dog looks good but I will have to make another trip to try that.

Friend saw this shop somewhere from social media and dragged me to try it out. I think the owners are mom and daughter as indicated in the cute logo. We tried Umma's tenders and fries and Gochujang poppers. Everything taste good. The tenders are so soft and juicy and most importantly, they are not greasy at all. The fries come with it are also flavorful and fresh. For the poppers, we ordered spicy flavor. I think the sauce is a bit overpowered to me. I can only ate a few pieces then I have to drink water to calm down the spice in my mouth. Overall, we like the meal. They also have various sauces you can pick to go with your fried chicken based on your preference. Tips: if you pay by Cash, you can get free drinks!

Finally found a moment to check out Sweeties. The place was virtually empty at 2pm on a Monday. I ordered the Umma's Tenders ($14) & Fries & the Gochujang Poppers ($16) knowing I wouldn't finish either and was served 15 minutes later. The servings are quite ample. I was offered extra hot Gochujang & accepted. The dish was hot in temperature but not brow dampening chili spicy at all. Very flavorful with a nice crunch on the initial bite & quite tender & juicy inside. The tenders & fries were also satisfying but for the inconsistency of the crust on the chicken. Soggy in spots & crispy, as intended, in others. The flesh of the tenders was perfectly cooked. The fries had no sogginess at all & were seasoned very nicely. Addictive. I think the issue was likely due to placing the chicken atop the hot fries (as opposed to beside) & the steam softened the crust? The overall experience was good. They care about what they're serving & the space is spotless.

Tried the soy garlic wings but spicy It was a little oily but I think it's cus it was just so fresh.. cus after a bit it was fine. And yes I know it's fried chicken lol but there's like too oily and stuff anyway Surprised at how good it was. The batter was light and crispy and not too thick. Loved that it came out hot and fresh. Lots of good places to eat nearby and there is pelicana pretty close by but if I'm craving chicken I'd rather go here and support a more local store and I think the chicken is better cus it comes out so fresh.

YOU CANNOT BE QUALITY FOOD LIKE THIS! I build my thrifting days in Greenpoint around this place. It makes your heart, soul, and tummy warm. I can't even recommend a certain item because literally everything is good! Don't miss out!

Some of the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had! The gochujang poppers serving was huge and I ate almost the whole thing in one sitting - they were so addictive I couldn't stop. The coleslaw was very good as well. The sauces were very unique, with flavors like "cheddar cheese ketchup." Ambiance is very cute as well! Food took a bit of time to get out but was worth the wait.

Located right off the G train, this is a great spot to pick up some fried chicken on your way home. Not a busy location so you're sure to get your food freshly made. The mozzarella corn dog is comparable to the places in the city and a decent price. Had the chicken poppers and they were so juicy and delicious! Definitely recommend.

Just great. Fresh light and amazing flavor that doesnt overpower your taste buds. The whole time i'm eating im thinking of eating more bc its so tasty and not heavy. Idk how to explain the not heavy thing, usually the cheese dogs gimme me a heavy taste but this is so airy crispy and light yet satisfying to eat. The soy garlic flavor too, just right and makes you crave for more.

It was a bit of a trek for me to get to Greenpoint for this, and I don't think it was worth the trek. This was not the first time I had Korean style corn dogs so I knew what to expect - a sugary shell for the dog/mozz, and a nice stretch mozzarella interior. I heard that the sausages are a little tasteless so I opted for the full mozzarella. Mozzarella was great, and it was nicely made but did not stand out of all the other Korean corn dogs I tried. I preferred their soy garlic poppers, but maybe were a tad bit salty for my taste. They also had a little assortment of homemade sauces that I also thought were fine, but did nothing to cut the saltiness of the soy garlic poppers. I added the sauces the the corndog and came to a similar conclusion - yummy sauces but didn't seem to add much to the corndog. Nice place to go to if you're craving Korean corn dogs, but not worth the trip for me. Also would not recommend to anyone who doesn't like sweet and savory mix.

This place has some of the best fried chicken and fries I've ever eaten. The crispiness is done right...it's crunchy but not greasy or hard. The chicken is tender and juicy. The fries are light, crisp and flavorful - no ketchup needed. The corn dog was so delicious that I would have gotten another one had I not been so full from the chicken itself. For a Tuesday night, this place was not too packed inside which was perfect for us since we wanted to stay and eat our meal. The inside is a simple yet casual vibe that is brightly lit and very neat and organized. We ordered the half and half corn dog (mozzarella + sausage), the 8-piece chicken wings and the chicken tenders and fries. Side note...if you purchase chicken or a bowl and you pay with cash, then you can get a free drink! Why not? It was a good way to complement the meal. When the food is served, it may not look like a whole lot but it is actually just perfect...of course be careful because the fried chicken and corn dogs will be hot as that's as fresh as you can get it. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. And do yourself an even bigger favor and try to eat their food in the store so that the chicken remains perfectly crispy without staying in the box too long.

It was Wednesday I was in the neighborhood looking for some wings and found this spot They have soy garlic wings which are my favorite type of wings . My first time trying their wings so I went with the spicy soy garlic. These wings are good and they are fried good and spiced good ! I'm adding this place to my wing spot !

Restaurant was very cute, service was quick and friendly, music was awesome, and the chicken was excellent! Gentleman who took our order recommended the spicy on our gochujang poppers, and he was spot on. Perfect heat level and super crispy!

We got the spicy pork bowl and the chicken wings, and there was plenty of food for the two of us. The food came out pretty quick, has a nice homey diner vibe, and was very tasty. The wings were moist yet very crunchy, which is essential for good Korean fried chicken wings, and the pork bowl had a good balance of meat and rice. A great spot to grab a quick bite.

Highly recommend Sweetie's! I came hungry and it did not disappoint. I was very pleasantly surprised by the fried chicken. It was perfectly crispy and even more importantly, every single bite was juicy. The chicken was cooked just right. When it comes to fried chicken, I hate when the chicken is dry or there's inconsistency with different pieces. There was absolutely none of that here. I've seen a few posts saying that the chicken was too oily but that wasn't my experience at all. I got soy garlic, which was flavorful but not overwhelming. There are other Korean chicken places where I have a hard time finishing the meal because it just too much. I finished everything you see in the picture except for one wing because I was too full. But that wing air fried the next day was better than most places fresh. The corn dog and fries were great too. Perfectly fried (seems to a theme). The corn dog is chewier than most other places, I think they use a rice flour base, which I liked a lot. If you dine in, they provide a bunch of different tasty sauces that you can add to everything. The restaurant is cute. Well designed and clean. They have a bunch of tables for customers to sit and eat. I got there a bit before dinner time on a Saturday and by the time I finished my food, almost every table was taken and most them seemed like locals who were repeat customers based on how they interacted with the staff. Next time I'm in the area I going to make sure I stop by again.

Ordered the 8 piece soy garlic wings and Potato Corn Dog (half mozz half sausage) via GrubHub. $4 and $3 markup for the wings and corn dog respectively for using GrubHub. Wings were very good, highly recommend trying them. Crispy with a good crunch and the soy garlic sauce wasn't overly sweet. The potato corn dog was okay, I've had better kdogs elsewhere. The outside was bland and lacked flavor.

Went on a Tuesday and service was a bit slow due to only two staff working- mother and daughter duo. We got the half and half corn dog and it was delicious! They have amazing sauces- my fav was the spicy honey mustard! We also go the bulgogi bowl for $15 and it was amazing! Will def come back to try other items!

Bleh. Cashier wasn't really friendly. We ordered the potato dog. It was "ok." It fell apart and was very oily. I've had it at other places and this was the least memorable.

Stopped off to get a Korean corn dog with half cheese and half hotdog. The coating was good and had the right texture. Not overly doughy and not too thin - just right. Also got some chicken pieces in the spicy soy garlic flavor which was not spicy but a little kick.

My husband and I went for a Yelp Elite promotion. All yelp members get a free corndog, either original, mozzarella, or half-half. I got the original corndog, along with a soy garlic chicken bowl and my husband got the bulgogi bowl. The corndog was really good. The original corndog has a golden, crispy fried coating with sugar on it. When you bite into it, it's not greasy at all. I don't know how they covered the hot dog but the coating separates from the hot dog so easily. I remember the old style corndogs where the breading sticks to the hot dog. This one does not. There appears to be two coatings - the outer one with sugar and the inner chewy one...like I said, I don't know how they did it, but it's really good. My husband inhaled his bulgogi bowl and said it was really, really good. A tad salty, but still super flavorful. I got the soy garlic chicken over rice. It comes with soy garlic popcorn chicken and the chicken is crunchy and really tasty. No greasy feeling and doesn't make you feel gross after eating it. I was full after eating the corndog that I couldn't finish my dish. Luckily, this place gives you the food in take-away-able containers. This place is a bit out of the way for me but if you're in the area, I recommend giving it a try.

Brooklyn is not an easy place for a restaurant to do well, let alone a Korean Chicken spot. But when you walk in 30 minutes before closing and it's packed, you know you're in the right place. The half and half (sausage and cheese) corn dog made me feel like I was back in Korea camping out in front of YG's headquarters trying to catch a glimpse of BlackPink. The chicken was so moist that I was convinced it swam across the Pacific Ocean. Also, whoever developed the sauces needs a raise. My doctor literally told me my uric acid is elevated and I need to moderate the amount of sauce I put in my food. But this is something I'm willing to risk gout for. They had this spicy honey mustard and I almost stole the bottle as if it was 4am at the 53rd and 6th Halal Cart trying to take some extra white sauce home. But in all seriousness, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The wait wasn't too long at all. I came after already eating dinner so I'm looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu. The couple next to me had the bowls and they looked bomb. I also need to try the potato dog as well. All in all, Sweetie's K-Chicken is a place that you need to try. It's a family owned business and if they don't sell merch soon I'm literally going to tattoo the logo on my forehead I love this place.

Visited on a Wednesday evening. The decor inside the restaurant was fun and there was plenty of space to sit inside. The lady behind the register was not too helpful... a bit more interested in her phone than my questions. I ordered the soy garlic chicken with french fries. They were made promptly, and came out hot and fresh. I enjoyed them.

This is a great spot for Korean corn dogs. The quality is much better than the ones I had before. I ordered the half mozzarella and half sausage. I actually enjoyed the cheese half more than the sausage. The coating was perfectly crispy and the sugar on the outside was a great addition without being overly sweet. This was definitely made fresh. Mine took about 15 minutes to come out and the place was packed. Service was friendly and there are plenty of seatings. The sauces they have on the table was also a nice variety to add on top. They had spicy cheddar, cheddar ketchup, honey mustard and cheddar cheese. such a cute spot in greenpoint! the chicken is DELICIOUS and perfectly fried without too much batter. I've tried their original and soy garlic and have loved both. they have a good menu with the option to add sides. everything freshly prepared at a good price point and will come back to try the other things on the menu! the inside is also cute and the staff are helpful and super friendly!

We tried the spicy regular wings, gochujang poppers, and garlic soy wings - all were delicious and seasoned well. My personal favorite was the spicy regular wings. They had a good kick but not overly spicy. We also got the regular corn dog which I enjoyed as well. Will be back for more!

Soy garlic wings - best you'll ever have. Certainly best I've ever had and I've eaten a lot of wings in the past. Never been in a chicken wing eating competition but if I were I would imagine I'd do well. Interesting thing about chicken wings - you assume a chicken has two wings, so when you eat two chicken wings that's like one chicken right but it is actually only half a chicken because they cut the wing in half so each chicken yields 4 wings that we eat

Saw this place on social media and knew I had to try it. The crispy fried wings were the star of our meal and the soy garlic poppers were a close second. Both were super juicy and crispy! I also liked how they had sauces on the side for you to add to the chicken. The bulgogi beef bowl was alright. It was a bit dry; some sauce for the rice to soak in would've been nice. Overall, I would recommend trying the fried chicken from here.

Best chicken tenders in Greenpoint! I have eaten here multiple times and it is always consistent and delicious! The Ummas Tenders have to be the best tenders in Greenpoint! Fried are very good as well. The Soy Garlic bowl was a bit more than the tenders but well worth it as it is a good portion of food with the rice. Service is always quick and food is always fresh. The space is very clean, and always playing good music. Would highly recommend!
