The 12 Best Hotel Bars In London, Ranked By Most Expensive Cocktail - London - The Infatuation

"The Standard, London in King’s Cross has taken a page out of Studio 54’s playbook with their late-night lounge. The disco ball could be mistaken for a planet, there’s plenty of orange crushed velvet sofas to pose on, and a sea of sequin jumpsuits to match the glittering skyline views. The house cocktails aren’t ashamed to be a bit silly, or very sweet and blue, and it’s ideal boogie territory once the DJ hits the decks. Quiet catch-ups need not apply." - heidi lauth beasley

Where To Go When You Want To Dance But Hate Clubs - London - The Infatuation

"Sweeties is equal parts fun and fancy, but with a lot less St. Moritz ski trip chat than the faux signet ring convention at Infernos. Take a glass lift up to the 10th floor of The Standard hotel and enter a fabulous world of super-sized disco balls, sequin jumpsuits, and crushed velvet sofas. Get a No Limits cocktail (lemongrass, fresh ginger, tequila), have a little dance with your group, and drink in the glittering King’s Cross skyline." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager, heidi lauth beasley

The 9 Best Happy Hours In London - London - The Infatuation

"2-4-1 on the same cocktail from 6pm to 7pm on Wednesdays Sweeties is not a casual bar. This is somewhere to drink in the glittering London skyline, go big during Happy Hour, and celebrate a special occasion with tasty, creative cocktails. To get here, you take a glass lift up to the 10th floor of The Standard London hotel. As you rise, King’s Cross’ grey streets, trains, and pigeons melt away. And a fabulous world of super-sized disco balls, sequin jumpsuits, and crushed velvet sofas emerges. The priority at this lounge is making the most of the one-hour 2-4-1 offer with a No Limits—tequila, lemongrass, ginger, lemon—cocktail." - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna

Sweeties - Review - Kings Cross - London - The Infatuation

"To get to Sweeties, you take a glass lift up to the 10th floor of The Standard, London hotel. As you rise, King’s Cross’ grey streets, trains, and pigeons melt away. And a fabulous world of super-sized disco balls, sequin jumpsuits, and crushed velvet sofas emerges. Mundane things don't matter here—what is laundry?—instead the priority at this lounge is getting a No Limits cocktail and drinking in the glittering London skyline. Dates in their best clothes and groups monopolising the sofas take pictures of themselves against the night sky, cheersing to a birthday. This is not a casual bar. This is somewhere to go big during happy hour and celebrate a special occasion with tasty, creative cocktails. photo credit: Sweeties photo credit: Anton Rodriguez photo credit: Anton Rodriguez Pause Unmute" - Sinéad Cranna

This is one of the best bars in London, I’m not even exaggarating. I probably couldn’t recommend it harder even if I wanted. The views, the ambiance, the cocktails. Obviously, the location. But what really sets this place high are the staff. The friendliest, the most helpful, all-rounds wonderful people. We absolutely love going there, and because of them, it’s always such a lovely experience. Big up for the bar manager who goes over and beyond to make your night brilliant, like last night, as well as the girls ♥️ Sum up - I couldn’t recommend more!! Thank you guys, see you soon!

Such a nice spot, conveniently located close to Kings Cross station. Nice views of the city. Lovely quality cocktails by dedicated bartenders. Felix was quite meticulous with pizazz. Drinks were excellent with nice views. Music was at a decent volume, so I could chat with my friend . Happy hour can get hectic. So book during that time. Did not get a chance to sample the food.

This is the best bar in London! Ruby and Anna are the most hospitable and welcoming bartenders I’ve ever come across. Absolutely amazing and astounding experience. I felt I was their only customer. If I could I would stay here day and night for the rest of my life. Highly recommend ‘Kiss Me’ for a cocktail. Come here with all your babes

Came here for a milestone birthday, group of 6. Unpleasant interaction with the doorman who made up an age restriction - we'd checked very carefully and had email reservation stating 18+. But he talked over us, refused to look at the email, and we were made to stand waiting for some time while he went away to "check". No apology on his return. Surely not difficult to know the restrictions for the very limited number of outlets in the hotel? Lift was cool, but the place was dead at 8pm on a Friday. Two couples and then thankfully some hotel guests briefly that at least made a little noise. Offered water while we browsed the cocktail menu - which was appreciated - but it took ages and was tepid. Surely could have managed an ice cube? Biggest gripe was the cocktails. Just not nice. Poorly balanced to the point of barely drinable. Of the 6 ordered, one had a sliver of orange peel. No other decoration or anything to make it feel like an occasion or add a little theatre. One waitress was lovely and chatted to us - the other 2 staff were adequate but no more. Huge disappointment on what was meant to be the start of a special evening. Go elsewhere, anywhere else....

We made a visit to Sweeties, a bar on the 10th floor of The Standard Hotel in Kings Cross. We decided to drop by based on many reviews praising its fantastic view of London, and they were absolutely right! From the bar, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the iconic St. Pancras station. They even have a rooftop, which I imagine is perfect for summer (although not at the moment, as it's quite chilly). The staff informed us that they are renowned for their champagne cocktails. We ordered one, and while it was decent, it didn't quite live up to the hype. So, visit this place for the view, but don't set your expectations too high for the drinks.

My partner and I ordered a simple coke, I don’t know how they work out the receipts because they got confused and gave us our drink for free. The staff is nice and most speak several languages, extra points for that!!!! Overall the bar is very chic, you have an amazing view and I didn’t took a picture of the prices but they go from 13 to 15 pounds for cocktails. Good option for a date or a girls night out if you are looking for a calm space with cute music.

Gorgeous bar and good DJ (though he finished his set earlier than advertised) but the service was ridiculously slow (and it wasn’t busy). We were sat at the bar for 15 minutes until someone asked if we wanted to order. Then it was another 20-30 min wait for two cocktails. I recommend but be ready to wait
