Great casual atmosphere, easy walk up ordering, friendly staff, and fresh, filling, delicious food! The tofu scramble was hearty with tons of tempeh bacon. The Turtle Power sandwich was packed with flavor and so satisfying. Both with plenty of leftovers for a second meal.

I've been coming to this place for years for a couple of reasons: 1.They have all-vegan pastries—good for a healthy gut. 2.The staff is always friendly—perfect for customer interactions. The cinnamon pastry is a customer favorite. If you don't get there early, you might not be able to get one. The same goes for the croissant—I love both the chocolate and coconut flavors. That lucky day when they mixed both chocolate and coconut into one? Wonderful! Their pastries are not extremely dry; they have the perfect level of moisture. I'm not a fan of dry pastries—they're hard to digest, of course. The ambiance of the place, though small, is always inviting. I appreciate dozing off while taking in the wood accents every time.

This is my favorite bakery in Portland, I love Sweetpea and recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone I know! There’s an issue with the baked goods, though. There was a review about this 6 months ago but it’s still happening. Almost everything is at least half raw dough. (Update: yeah I got pretty sick from the one I took a bite out of this morning) I see this in every croissant, danish, and strudel I get; usually the whole bottom is raw. The strudel I got today was raw the whole way through except the very outside, like they just put it in at a high temp for a few minutes. For the price, the bakers really need to figure this out… as the other reviewer said, this isn’t an issue with being vegan, it’s an issue with the bake. I’ve gotten a pretty upset stomach from this so please cut and check your pastries before you eat them. I love the recipes and flavors, they just need more love in the oven ❤️

Absolutely the best tofu scramble I’ve ever had! Everything here is so yummy!!!

Always delicious desserts to have here. You can never go wrong with what you choose. We don't even tend to order blueberry flavors, but the Blueberry Strudel we got was so absolutely delicious that we will get it again! It was flaky and sweet with a fruity blueberry taste. It was as if a warm and sunny morning had a child with freshly sprouted blueberries, and this was their creation. The Almond Ring is a classic favorite that is always on the line up for us to consume. It is potent in almond flavor without being overbearing. The crunch you get from the almond pieces throughout the ring, add a nice contrast to the rest of the soft and fluffy dessert. We came at the last hour and we were worried that the desserts (like any bready dessert) would be on the firm side. This was correct, and thus we asked the staff if they could heat it up for us. They kindly accommodated our request and the sweets were super soft and enjoyably with their aroma. It's strikingly similar to when they are fresh out the oven. Definitely suggest everyone to do so.

Google
Vegan bakery with absolutely delicious offerings. Yes, vegan! So far, it's the best I've found in Portland. Their cupcakes easily rival the creamiest, fluffiest conventional cakes I had. And I've had lots of cake in my life. 😁

Google
THE ONLY PLACE YOU NEED TO GO IN PORTLAND!!! The breakfast sammie was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Came back the next morning for breakfast again bc no other Portland breakfast options compare. Created a bagel that was also very delicious. And also had the reuben sandwich, which we liked very much as well. Almond ring is out of this world. Bf is a coffee snob and liked the coffee a lot as well! Staff was really nice too! Outdoor seating would be nice! It was a bit chilly for me under the fans.

Google
Best tofu scramble in town and awesome hot coffee in a cool industrial setting great staff and friendly people well worth the money.

Yelp
The food is good. The prices are spendy but worth it. The croissants are the best. Don't try the doughnuts.

Yelp
Would kill to have one of these in Arizona. The location, seating, staff, and most importantly, food and coffee were all awesome. I had a really good Reuben with what tasted like Seitan and a side of pasta salad. It was very tasty and the perfect amount of food. Grabbed a vegetable cream cheese filled croissant to go and it made for a great breakfast the next day.

Yelp
Sweetpea Baking Company is my favorite vegan bakery in Portland, Oregon! When I first became vegan years ago, it was actually one of the only vegan bakeries in Portland, Oregon. I always order my birthday cakes here and try as much as possible to get vegan pastries! The staff members are always so kind and friendly. I also love how there are different meals that you can buy and coffee with dairy alt. Milk. Great place to eat brunch and lunch with an area of open seating. I ordered the pain au chocolate and it was really delicious with the croissant, tasting very fluffy. Also the ube cookies are delicious! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I ordered my fiancés birthday cheesecake here. This cheesecake was INCREDIBLE. He is not vegan and he couldn't even tell that the cheesecake was vegan. The berries taste so fresh and the cheesecake is creamy and smooth. The whip cream on the edges is light and fluffy. It's hard to only eat one piece we could eat the whole thing in one sitting it is so tasty. The danishes were also delicious as well as the chocolate peanut butter bar. The staff made ordering a cake incredibly easy and had it ready in w yuck turn around time. The basketry itself is a small and very homey feeling bakery. When we went I instantly felt at home and very comfortable. Any vegan or non vegan who loves pastries and cheesecake should definitely stop by

Yelp
Dope vegan maple bacon waffle, strong latte, and lots of space to sit. Space didn't feel as cozy or cute as it could but at the end of the day the food and drinks matter the most.

Yelp
Sweetpea Baking Company is 100% vegan. They were Portland's first all-vegan bakery in 2005 and they've continued to be awesome at their SE Stark St location to this day. In addition to baked goods of all kinds (pastries, cakes, bagels, cookies), their storefront offers breakfast, soups, sandwiches, and more. Saturday is donut day and Monday is croughnut day. During COVID there wasn't/isn't much in the way of seating, so grab your items to-go. I believe it is street parking only. They also do a lot of wholesale, so you may see their logo on products in the grocery store or restaurant counter. I've primarily had their cupcakes and cookies secondhand in this way, though I've stopped by their store a few times for a specific order. It's always been a good option, in my opinion!

Yelp
I've been dreaming of returning to sweetpea since I had a blueberry cream cheese danish in like 2011! I've been talking about that shit for 12 years!!! Finally made my way back to Pdx and into this cute spacious shop. The server person didn't flinch that I ordered pretty much one of each thing. So far, have tried and recommend peach danish and cinnamon twist. Open a shop in Austin, dangit!
google avatar

Margaret C.

Yelp
I've tried their bagels, sandwiches, and pastries. The pastries are delicious and very fresh, sometimes I don't believe they're vegan because the texture is so perfect. Last time I tried the bagel it wasn't good and it was missing the vegan meat I ordered so I removed one star. I also wish they knew what flavors of croissants they had the next day because they never know when I call :) other than that it's a great place!

Yelp
Quality Vegan Baked Goods! Yes sir, indeed! So glad we had to opportunity to stop by this beautiful joint! Super friendly customer service; loved the vibe & food/drink options! This was our first opportunity to try the Famous Marionberry! Not pancakes, but PIE it was! Delicious! We snagged: -two MB Pies -Brownie! Def recommend! COVID Notes -Indoor dining is available. -The order was effortless, quick, & accurate. -Excellent customer service -Masks were required. Staff wore masks. -No issues at all. Thank you, Sweetpea, for having delicious Vegan Options & being a spectacular community staple!

Yelp
Took my daughter to Sweetpea, all vegan options. The food was terrific and great coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful when ordering.

Yelp
If you got a sweet tooth.... Sweetpea is the perfect fix. I'm not lying when I say this; their really isn't any thing that I haven't liked; for they're bakery items. I would go here more often if they weren't so far away from where I live in Vancouver. Scones, danishes, almond or coconut rings, cinnamon rolls, muffins, donuts, bagels, brownies, cookies,a peanut butter chocolate dream bar, croissants. It's all so scrumptious and non vegans I promise you won't miss the dairy or eggs. As for service... generally the folks working there are cordial... I understand what all the negativity is about...idk why but it's definitely a Portland thing. People and I must qualify this not all people but most just are not warm and friendly. And I think that's what most of the complaints are when people talk about the unfriendly and bad customer service at Sweetpea. For ambiance it's not upscale in fact I don't know if I've ever been In an upscale place in Portland. So if your coming from another city that has upscale places..you may have too look deep in Portland it's hard to find. Sweetpea feels like your in an old building that is or was once perhaps a factory or some kind of Loft... Several tables against the wall and a few more on the other wall. Its ok... But it just doesn't feel very welcoming. So almost always get my order for take away.

Yelp
Okay so the thing about this place is that if you want something, you have to come early. We came within an hour of closing and they were sold out of a number of treats. We opted for the charlie brown (a MUST) and the chocolate chip cookie which was straightforward. Their coffee and teas looked so good but alas would come earlier for the caffeine fix. Worth a stop if delicious desserts are your thing!

Jillian L.

Yelp
I don't like to leave a bad review, but I witnessed an extremely rude employee interaction with an older man. There seemed to be a language difference, and the employees were mean, racist, unapologetic, and unhelpful regarding an order the customer had placed over the phone that was not made correctly. Once the man left, the employees made fun of him loudly in the cafe and I could hear the whole thing. Unbelievably ugly behavior. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner and I would feel uncomfortable going there as a customer.

Yelp
Randomly stumbled upon this bakery on our trip in Portland. Probably the best vegan chocolate chip cookies I've had! Their lavender lemonade was also yummy. Glad we stopped by!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I wish they would open more locations so badly!! (One in Southern California perhaps...). My parents and I came here for brunch and we shared the tofu scramble, breakfast sandwich, and bacon cheddar quiche. We all loved the breakfast sandwich most, followed by the tofu scramble. The quiche wasn't our favorite but everything else really made up for that! We also shared a raspberry cream cheese danish and an almond ring. The danish was to die for! We also picked up some more pastries to take home and their danishes really are mind blowing. The blueberry cream cheese was my favorite!

Yelp
If you love this place and want to get them a gift, I recommend a label maker for their condiment section. I accidentally put nooch in my coffee, and it was not the most pleasant taste first thing in the morning. Gratefully, everyone who works here is super nice and patient and understanding. I've been here before when they had a breakfast buffet, and it was super yummy. I've always liked the pastries too. I don't know if today was just an off day, but I tried the slice of daily quiche (tempeh, mushroom, and onion) and the biscuit with gravy. The quiche was bland - I had to add salt and franks red hot from the condiment counter (that I was now becoming quite acquainted with after my coffee incident) just to be able to eat it. The biscuit was rosemary and bacon flavored, and I tasted the rosemary, but it was also sweet, like they had used vanilla soy milk in the recipe. I've had this problem before, so it must be a different style of biscuits and gravy than I like. I did just have the biscuits and gravy at cornbread cafe a couple of days ago, so maybe my expectations are just too high. Anyway, come here for the coffee and pastries. And bring your label maker.

Yelp
Strapped for time and needing to eat before my tattoo next door at Scapegoat, I popped into Sweetpea for a quick bite and a much needed coffee to prep for my long sit. I've been to their former NoPo location a few times for a quick pastry but was excited to try their lunch offerings. Now, I'm no vegan, but holy lord their food is good. I ordered their vegan Pastrami Rueben, mac salad, and a dirty chai. The food came out in less than 5 minutes and was stunning. Perfect toast on the bread and their Pastrami alternative was savory and filling. While it certainly wasn't meat, the flavor was amazing and left nothing to be desired whatsoever. Mac salad is tasty with hard hints of pickle and creamy creamy creamy. I love the milk options at Sweetpea. Hemp is my go to but I've heard awesome things about their hazelnut milk as well. Staff was crazy welcoming and the shop was warm, clean, and had a nice vibe. Parking here is street based but PRO TIP: There's a side lot next to Scapegoat reserved for this plaza. Park there for sure as street parking is packed and limited to 1 hour. Overall, stoked on all the food I've ever had here and will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Hands down the best oat milk latte I have found. Whatever oat milk they use and how they make their coffee, it has the creamiest smoothies texture and it doesn't have any oat milk after taste. I've had a lot of oat milk coffees and this was and is hands down the best coffee experience I've found. Their vegan food is varied and delicious and their sweet treats can be gluten free too and I've had great experiences with it

Yelp
Fantastic vegan bakery/restaurant with very friendly staff! I would highly recommend the Rueben sandwich. This place is awesome!!

Yelp
Wasn't really feeling the sweetness of Sweetpea Baking Co when I came here last. Went to get a latte and try out one of their vegan pastries and get some work done. Overall it was not a great experience. Stood in line and waited patiently as each person had to order and pay and there was only one person doing most of the work. Finally got to the front of the line and I was a bit confused because there was an one pasty left in the case and the sign had two things listed, a walnut one and and almond one, both were $5. The lady who took my order was very unfriendly to the point of not even wanting to answer basic questions such as what it was that I saw in the glass case and what was in it. All I got was a curt answer that they ran out of the walnut ring and all they had left was the almond one. Do you recommend the almond one I asked? Her reply is everything is good. Ok then so went ahead and ordered it. Then tried to ask about the alternate milks they offer and I got a "every thing is vegan here" reply back. Didn't want to start losing it with this person who obviously was not enjoying her job and was obviously not going to be of much help so I just said give me an almond milk latte please. Paid and gave no tip, she quickly threw my almond ring on a plate and that was my order experience. Really hate to eat my pastry when I don't have my coffee drink in hand but 15 minutes went by and no sign of any drink. Really wanted to not wait and take a bite of the ring but held my restraint. In the meantime I did a little investigating what others ordered to see if anything looked good. One lady sitting next to me got the Tempeh Bacon Cheese Quiche. She had a funny look on her face so I asked her what she thought about it and her words were dry and mediocre. Meanwhile back at the headquarters Ms. unfriendly lady was taking orders and going back to make drinks at the same time and I'm not hearing any hints of my name being called out. Decided to head on up to the barista serving area and kind of look over the drinks and wishfully thinking my drink had to be coming up soon. I'm at this point wondering if she forgot my drink so politely asked if the drink for Ron is coming up? She said "not yet" then walked away and started to chat with one of the other employees. They were having a laugh about something. That was the only time she even cracked a smile so it must have been a good joke:( Finally I got a holler when my Latte was up. Got my drink and sat down to eat my pastry. First sip of the latte was not very exciting. Coffee was weak tasting, no latte art and the almond milk wan't very creamy at all. My almond ring looked really good visually but it didn't translate in the taste. I think it might have tasted better if it was warmed up because the pastry tasted really dry and super sweet. I guess with a name like sweatpea I should expect that but I guess if the pastry tasted kind of stale, super cold, and not flaky at all. The icing tasted like pure sugar and it definitely needed some coffee to help cut the sugary taste. Overall just wasn't feeling the love of this place. To end my mediocre experience I went to use the bathroom and I see these giant drums of canola oil sitting in the hallway next to the bathrooms. Not sure if that's what they use in all of their pastries but if so I would definitely not eat any of them again. Canola oil is almost all GMO and very unstable oil and not recommended to eat if you are health conscious and don't want to eat things that are inflammatory to your health. Not saying they do use it but If I come back I will make sure to ask. I feel kind of generous to give 3 stars but I give them some slack as one bad employee doesn't make a place and I only tried one item from the menu so maybe it was a bad day here.
google avatar

Dina E.

Yelp
Three and a half stars. I went a couple months ago and it was clear they only had one staff member (maybe an owner). I waited so incredibly long for a coffee I almost left. The cashier was on the phone, went to the back for a while. Then a line started to form and ppl were asking me if I knew what was up. I shrugged. I got my pastry and finally got my coffee and left. The staff member was still on the phone. Everything tasted ok. Most items were sold out (or not stocked?) when I arrived at 11am. It sucks to have staffing shortages but this was kind of a mess.

Larry S.

Yelp
Food: Pastry is good. Tempeh meat is not edible Service: the girl with black hair at the back is rude, not answering questions. Tables were clean this time. My first visit they were all sticky. You guys need to relax about masks. I mean you look really fanatic. All together it leaves negative impression about the place.
google avatar

Jordan P.

Yelp
Very nice staff and accommodated a late custom cake order for me. Cupcakes are good. Would be 5 stars if my cake didn't have a massive crack in the middle barely keeping the cake together
google avatar

Krista D.

Yelp
I love this place! Been here MANY times before. The cinnamon rolls are insane and the croissants are the best! I've never been disappointed by anything I've gotten here. Everything is amazing! Staff was great as always. Very kind, upbeat and happy. Front doors propped open so customers don't have to touch a door. Clearly placed markers on the floor for social distancing. Staff wearing masks. Customer in front of me ordered coffee and employee used pastry paper to hand the lid to the customer. They clearly care about their employees and customers.
google avatar

Valery L.

Yelp
Literally obsessed I came here every day of my Portland trip, oops! The danishes are where it's at when you come to Sweet Pea, but the bagel sandwiches and coffee drinks do not disappoint either. I love that this bakery is located in a totally vegan plaza/mall with a few other vegan businesses right next-door!!!
google avatar

Hayleigh P.

Yelp
Got a bunch of baked treats and honestly I loved every single one! Definitely will be going back to try more! Update.... went back for more just a couple days later, couldn't resist! Tried almost every vegan bakery in Portland I could find and this was hands down my favorite! Go go go!
google avatar

Jackie G.

Yelp
Not the best service. Cashier was having a bad morning. Coffee was ok. Baked goods were ok. But bagel sandwich was great. Parking is easy. Plenty of room to sit.

Tor J.

Yelp
Food is fantastic 10 / 10. Everything I've had here is very delicious, from the sandwiches, to the baked goods. I am bummed that they still require face masks to order at the counter, but to each their own! They do have them available at the counter for you if you didn't bring one with you.
google avatar

Louise G.

Yelp
Had the Charlie Brown (peanut butter bar with chocolate) and it tasted great! I don't know how they make croissants vegan but I need to go there in the morning and check them out! Soon!
google avatar

Mahalath G.

Yelp
The young girl with black hair behind the counter was extremely rude and disrespectful to me for no reason. She has not customer service skills and should not be in that position. I will never go back to this place again.
google avatar

rosie R.

Yelp
A fully vegan bakery? What did I do to deserve such a blessing. Came by for a breakfast sandwich that was so flipping good I forgot to capture it with my phone. Ordered a side of potato salad because why not! It was also incredible. I'm here on my second visit waiting to indulge in a salad and bagel sandwich. Will update on that when it arrives. Edit: Our create your own bagel sandwich was so good and the chikin caesar salad was probably the best I've ever had.
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
Very pleased with the sandwich I chose. I was trying to decide out of 2, and the cashier said the Untuna Melt was her favorite adding the cashew cheese. She prefaced that they do not add Nori or anything to give it a fish taste which I was perfectly fine with, and knowing what tuna tasted like, my first thought was, "there's no way that this will taste like REAL tuna.." But, to my surprise, it totally could pass as a real tuna melt. Giving up meat 8 months ago was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time, and I occasionally miss certain things, like a tuna melt. So thank you SweetPea for allowing me to indulge in something so delicious without harming anything in the process! I'd absolutely come here again and give it another try to see what other vegan goodies they offer!

Yelp
My child is severely allergic to dairy and eggs. Managing her allergies and keeping her safe are constants in our lives, and can be very stressful and draining. Like any parent, I want her to have the typical highs and lows of childhood. I nearly cried when I saw the beautiful job Sweetpea did on my daughter's birthday cake and cupcakes. This is the first year she has had birthday treats that were not homemade. It's been 6 months and she still talks about them. The cake and cupcakes were both beautiful and delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful during the ordering process. They also told me they can handle nut allergies and are happy to do so. Thank you Sweetpea! UPDATE: Another year another fabulous cake from Sweetpea! We got another birthday cake in August 2019 for a group of kids who are allergic to dairy, eggs, and tree nuts. My gratitude for safe food I don't have to make myself knows no bounds. Those who deal with serious food allergies know what I'm talking about. The cake was beautiful, delicious, and safe. Wonderful end to my child's birthday!

Yelp
My friend and I enjoyed our first meal here very much. This is a cute and casual dining spot with great food and pleasant employees. You order at the counter and pick up your food when its ready along with water and utensils. I really appreciate this current trend of self service because it means once you sit down you can relax and enjoy the conversation without someone interrupting you for your order or opinion on things. We had the turtle power sandwich and the club sandwich along with potato salad and soup. Everything tasted delicious. Their bakery case was beautiful and so tempting. Everything on their menu is vegan. Yay! Highly recommend Sweetpea baking company.
google avatar

Kayla E.

Yelp
Went to this establishment on my recent trip to Portland and was really impressed by their pastries! Honestly better than most non-vegan pastries I've had. I deducted a star because I got the bagel and cream cheese and honestly I did not like it... the cream cheese was oddly sweet? It's probably not their fault, but it just wasn't my fave! I remember thinking the bagel was a bit overpriced too... Overall, I would definitely recommend! I brought a cinnamon roll home for my boyfriend and he couldn't tell an difference... it was terrific! Also, I love the whole little strip mall that this is a little a part of!

Anne H.

Yelp
I love Sweatpea. Their club sandwich is fantastic and I have to behave myself with their baked goods. Glad that I don't live too close because I would gain a ton of weight if I could go there all the time!
google avatar

Chase M.

Yelp
Not even vegan, but used to be (health not political reasons) and this place has great baked goods and coffee, monster cookie with snickerdoodle and vanilla frosting is huge and amazing. Be warned, thusbplace is as far left, and liberal as it gets.

John C.

Yelp
First time customer here. Not the friendliest of employees for a place called "Sweet Pea." The person at the register did not greet me and instead aggressively asked if I had a mask which they still require for some reason. They had disposable masks sitting on top of their pastry case so I asked if I could grab one and they said "no!" Maybe they are not getting paid enough or were having a bad day, but it seemed like a pretty harsh and unwelcoming environment for a bakery. For that reason I did not sit and enjoy the pastry there, I got out as quick as possible. The pastries were pretty good though at least.
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
Amazing chocolate croissant AND they gave me nice suggestions for making the most of my visit Will drive back to Oakland lamenting my decision to not take a cinnamon roll home....

Yelp
My wife is vegan so I find myself frequently at vegan restaurants. We visited Saturday markets in Oregon City & were at the Hollywood Farmers Mkt and searched for a vegan restaurant nearby. We had never been here and were definitely not disappointed. We ordered the Untuna Sandwich which came w a small greens salad. It was DELICIOUS!! We also ordered the tofu bfast w tempeh bacon. Again DELICIOUS!! Accompanied by 2 of their hot lattes. Sadly NO STEVIA!! No nonsugar sweeteners. Otherwise. Nice seating. Nice location. Nice clean bathroom. Wud definitely return. Ohhhh yah. Closed out with 2 vegan desserts!!
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
I hate to be the dissenter. And honestly I should have returned my pastry. But it was completely underbaked. I had to throw away the center because it was raw dough. Good tea selection though. And my friend really enjoyed her bagel.
google avatar

Bridgette S.

Yelp
All vegan bakery. Great place to grab a coffee and a sweet treat. Small sitting area with tables. Free wifi. Everything I've ever had from them has been delicious. Sometimes if you are lucky they will have day old baked goods for a really good deal! We ended up getting 6 bagels for 5 dollars! Staff is really friendly. Prices are fair. Free street parking out front.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
It's Sourpea Baking Company for me! The owner or hiring manager gets off on stocking their cafe with lazy, pretentious young people who can't be bothered, and now I can't be bothered to go. (^_~) The food and drinks are not bad. The food isn't really the problem. The atmosphere is also OK. The problem is that the people at this vegan cafe seem to care a lot about milk, but not very much about human customers. I've given them a LOT of chances. Even if there are three visible employees and only a couple of customers, you can expect to wait longer than is reasonable for anything that requires preparation. The employees always prioritize whatever task they're doing in the back over living customers -- and they're not in a hurry about that, either. Most of the staff treat customers with an attitude that's both casual and unfriendly, like you just walked up to them on the street and asked for a light. Do they still get grumpy if you don't give a sizeable tip for handing you a pastry (which they never offer to warm up)? The answer is yes! I know someone who walked out because of how dismissive and slow the service here is, and I'm sure they're not alone. Save yourself the annoyance and visit a cafe that deserves your patronage: Triumph Coffee just up the street.

Yelp
Why aren't you already here eating a cinnamon roll? Seriously, best cinnamon roll anywhere, ever. Other excellent baked goods of note: Cinnamon Scones, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Almond Ring! SO GOOD. Biscuit sandwiches are also top notch. I like the SOB seitan on biscuit piled with gravy. All of it is tasty, tasty, tasty!

Yelp
We ate lunch at Sweetpea and both of our vegan sandwiches were off-the-charts delicious! So good! We'll definitely go back.

Yelp
Ordered half a confetti sheet cake for my son's 1st bday party....his mom and I are vegans, as are a few of our guests, but most are not, including our son. We didn't want to put a candle in half a watermelon and call it a day (seriously, we've seen this. For god's sake, don't be that parent!) so we sought out a vegan bakery and found some amazing reviews for Sweetpea here on Yelp! I know it's not rare to say that the cake was the high point of the party, but this cake was *the* high point of the party (and we had a petting zoo in the backyard...not something easily upstaged). Everyone was going on and on about how delicious it was, asking us where we got it. Finally, I let on that we got it from Sweetpea and one friend in the know blurted out, "wait....you're telling me this is VEGAN?!!" So yes, this crowd-pleasing cake was amazing and entirely plant based, and we now have a go-to bakery. See you soon, Sweetpea!

Yelp
I was curious to try the Untuna melt with cashew cheese. This grilled monster was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. The photo doesn't do it justice. It was amazing. I cannot wait to get another one

Yelp
Absolutely great! Everything from baked goods to sandwiches, bagels to biscuits and gravy, and EVERYTHING plant based! Pair that with great coffee and tea drinks in a friendly welcoming environment and you have the perfect breakfast/brunch/linch spot. It also doesn't hurt that their neighbors are Food Fight and Herbivore!

Yelp
A delicious little shop full of yummy food and nice staff. The cookies my mom and I got were still soft and delicious and the coffee was hot and rich. Yummmmm The only thing I could complain about is that I came too late in the day for more options of baked goods and that the snickerdoodle cooked didn't have enough cinnamon and sugar for me (i like mine rolled in it to cover them) and obviously it's a personal preference so that's ok. I'd stop by again if I'm in town for sure.

Yelp
The staff are always sweet and care about the safety and well-being of their customers (read as "yes, they want you to wear a mask in-store. stop pouting"). Food's always great too
