"Michigan’s Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea opened within NEWCITY in 2021, offering shoppers a place to recharge with a wide selection of teas like dragon pearl jasmine and the caffeine-free mandarin orange rooibos along with Hong Kong-style imperial milk tea, Thai iced tea and chai. Relax on the patio while snacking on a scone or croissant." - Samantha Nelson, Eater Staff

This place is highly rated and I am not sure if being there maybe plays a role but my review is for delivery , and it was kind of basics but I was blown out of the sweet waters . The packaging was good, I ordered coffee , bagel , and croissant. The coffee was alright , the bagel was good and it is what saved the day because unfortunately the croissant was below standards a bit kind of stale and just like all croissants made this way they don’t have much chocolate. I hope to visit one day and the rating would increase but on food alone it’s not more than 3 stars - it’s good for on passing by and you need a pit stop because it’s on the way but I would not get out of my way to go there. I hope my opinion changes if I visit there and try other things.

The lady here was nice and recommended a good pastry from the cabinet. Looks like they have lots of other teas coffees, other beverages and nice quiet place for studying or doing business. I really appreciate it. Everything about it. Had a good time and will come again.

I went here on New Year's Day about an hour to closing. Employees were very friendly. I got a hot matcha and an iced matcha. They were ready in what felt like just a minute and it was one of the best matcha I've had in this city! Other places dilute it too much. I wasn't planning on trying this place but I'm glad I did.

The breakfast food was good, but the coffee was fantastic. Their pumpkin cold brew is amazing and their monster matcha specials are very rich in taste and are easy to drink. I suggest the lemon crumb bar if you like sweetness or the blueberry scone if you want something with flavor over sweetness.

Every time I go to NewCity 14, I keep reminding myself to come visit the shop. I am glad that this time I was able to go before the movie started and got a Hot Chai. It was very smooth and soft taste but still felt a bit of the spicy kick to it. Very nice atmosphere and very nice baristas. Cute christmas decoration too🎄

Another out of state Starbucks “want a be” invading our town. It’s good but lacks the magnetic appeal of a locally owned coffee joint… Attractive to yuppies with a cool decor element.Pastries standard and minimal. In door outdoor seating overlooking a very attractive plaza. Pricing expensive. No parking.Service average. AWARDED 2 YUMS ON A SCALE OF3

+ Additional Review on 6th Oct I've updated the rating to 5stars. Actually I was unsatisfied last visit because of the Macha latte taste, But I still like this cafe and owner's comment touching me. You are the great owner, Tom. I will visit soon for Macha latte. Thank you. + Additional Review on 12th Sep I visit here again with my friend today because I was satisfied with last experience at this Cafe and I wanted to drink Macha latte what i like. So I ordered Macha latte but the taste is totally different with before. As you can see the 3rd (2month ago) and 4th(Today) pictures, Macha latte colors are different and today's latte is too waterly. Not only mine, My friend ordered Milk tea, It's also too mild and waterly. I'm so sorry to my friend and I think it should has consistency. (Previous Review) I Love here!!! The place is really clean and organized. You can use free wifi and charge your laptop or phone. The staffs are so nice and friendly, Coffee and beverage are also excellent!!! 👍 Recommend!!!

Fast & friendly service and tasty pastries, sandwiches and drinks. I had the bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and an oat milk mocha..... Delicious! It's not a big place so there isn't a ton of seats...but they do have an outside patio.
