"This nearly 100-year-old fixture in Old Town Temecula has historically been a local favorite breakfast spot (don’t miss the fresh-baked cinnamon buns). In 2022, actor Dean Norris of Breaking Bad fame, a longtime Temecula resident, took over the diner and has since introduced a popular menu of Texas-style barbecue that includes smoked turkey, prime brisket, beef ribs, and pork belly burnt ends, offered with sides like baked beans and coleslaw." - Candice Woo

We loved this place! The brisket was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We went on a Sunday and had about a 20-minute wait, which was well worth it. The atmosphere was fantastic with live music, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly made it even more enjoyable. Amazing food and great service—definitely recommend! We’ll be back for sure!

Wednesday, 12:30 pm A full house with a mild wait. The other venues in the immediate area were almost vacant. THAT seems to speak volumes. The venue's reputation as a "must visit" BBQ spot is well deserved. I was in the area for business, but I also wanted to visit a previous colleague that I hadn't seen in eleven years. Loretta is the General Manager, a VERY competent and appropriate person for the position. The staff was well trained, friendly and accommodating. We unintentionally ran our server, Trevor, ragged with various requests. He pleasantly and quickly accommodated each & every one of them. My sister had a very well prepared two egg breakfast with an impressive Bloody Mary. Good portions. I was "forced", willingly, to indulge in a rather huge platter of three of their BBQ meats, just to see if the hype was real. IT WAS MOST CERTAINLY REAL!! Delicious, "fall off the bone" tender, flavorful, and juicy. My choices were Brisket, Pork Ribs, and Pulled Pork with Cole Slaw and Baked Beans, accompanied by a pile of Texas Toast. This platter would easily satisfy two people!! I also enjoyed a Bloody Mary. (and a Cadillac Margarita rocks) The venue is VERY dog friendly. In fact, there were around a half dozen, of all sizes, in the crowd. I ordered a side of bacon for my pup! Prices are moderate but a rather good value for the buck. It was good to visit an old friend and enjoy a delicious lunch in the process!! If you are in the area and pass this place by, I seriously question your dining values!! Seek it out. You'll be glad you did.

Walked in and staff was super nice and sat us quickly. Lots of food to pick from and ultimately picked the 3 meat combo and shared with one other person. Food looks amazing, but sadly lacked in flavor and juiciness. I will say the meats were very very tender! Ratings Presentation:10/10 Ribs: 6/10 (7/10 with sauce) Brisket: 6/10 Mac n Cheese: 7/10 (only reason we give it this score is because we love more salt and gooey mac) Baked Beans: 9/10 Overall Rating: 6/10 In conclusion the food was decent, atmosphere is great, staff is great.

While I love their food and the people that work there, I was really disappointed when I ordered take out today at noon on 7/3/25. I ordered 2 Beef 'Dino' Ribs $45 ea. and a 3 smoked meat combo platter for $59 w/tax = $160+/-. Trusting the establishment I took the boxes to my car and drove and hour to meet with family. To my utter disbelief and disappointment after opening the two boxes all I got for my $160 was the two smallest Beef Dino ribs I've ever seen and 8 pieces of brisket and 6 small pieces of pork burnt ends. My heart sank. I felt like they took me for a fool. Whenever I've dined there before the proportions, were much larger. I remember going there for the first time and getting the beef Dino rib and taking home to finish later or going in with a friend and ordering the 3 smoked meat combo platter and having to take that home as well to finish later. Im not going to order out again. I'll need a break from their place for now, I'm still very disappointed. Next time I'll dine in, sit down order enjoy some sweet tea and when the food arrives, then immediately ask for containers to take it home.

Had the Wild West Burger and an order of cheese curds. The cheese curds are hands down the best I’ve ever had. Chain restaurants do them at a basic level but this place was best. Almost looked like tater-tots, not sure if they bake or broil them after the initial deep fry. Wild West Burger came out as ordered, medium rare. The side of onion rings were really good too. The food came out fast too for a party of three.

I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan, so I definitely wanted to try Hank's BBQ. I took the advice of fellow reviewers here and avoided the pork. The Brisket is one of the best I've ever had. My husband got the huge Dino Beef Rib. I got the Mac, he got potato salad. Portions are huge. Either fine hungry or take the rest as leftovers. The leftovers were still tasty the next day. For reference, we came with my parents on Friday night for *early* dinner ~5pm and were able to be seated fairly quickly. We noticed Saturday morning brunch was quite busy with people waiting outside. Oh and the cheese curds are good too, for appetizer. Enjoy!

Went here with my father in law for a late lunch on a Sunday. The place had about a 40 minute wait, which was on until the hostess called our name along with another party, sat the other party and then argued that she hadn't called our name and that she had called "Robert" only. Our name was under "David". Not sure how we could confuse that and even 2 other people that were standing close to us also attested that the girl had in fact called out our name also. This was a little annoying. But anyway, after another 15 minutes we were finally seated. Our server, "Mark" was phenomenal! And the portions were outstanding and delicious. I would definitely go back. And then as we were preparing to leave we saw a table near us order a cinnamon roll to go, had no problems getting it. As we were leaving we stopped and I asked for a cinnamon roll to go, the bus person I asked referred my request to a female server, this person, without hesitation she very abruptly stated that they had ran out of cinnamon rolls a while back for the day, I'm thinking "huh"? I had just witnessed one being served less than 3 minutes prior. I'm like, WTF! Anyway, as I said, the food was spectacular, the portions were incredible and the service from Mark our server was exceptional. It seemed like the hostess and the female server there had a chip on their shoulders or having a bad day and reflecting it to the patrons.

Husband and I came here on a whim because it was recommended by my sister. Seemed to be one of their busiest times around 1-3pm and we only had to wait like 30 mins. The waiter we had was very sweet. I did not catch his name, but he had a long beard. He was very communicative and informative. We were about to get the family platter because it says it feeds about 2-4 people but in reality he told us it's like way more people because they give so much food, so we went with a 3 meat option which to my surprise we still had leftovers. I recommend the lavender lemonade cocktail if you want something refreshing, and the jalapeno burger was such a move.
