Holy hell. If Yelp ever adds the option for more stars I will fly back from Minnesota just to re-review and add more stars. We were staying down the road for a Dodger game and NEEDED a coffee before heading up to Napa. Swork happened to be the closest to our hotel but given the great reviews, I would have gone out of our way to find it. We found street parking easily and were greeted right away by a longer haired barista. I’m really bummed we didn’t catch his name because he really made this experience what it was. The drink menu is extensive with unique coffee and non-coffee drinks without being overwhelming. For food they had a great variety of fresh pastries and bagels and some heartier sandwich style bagels. I knew I’d made the right choice before we even ordered. I got the iced vanilla bean latte (heads up, there is a slight upcharge for iced v. hot drinks) and the avocado bagel while my fiancé ordered a caramel latte and coffee cake. The barista asked if we wanted regular or salted caramel - we didn’t even know that was an option and I’m not sure if it is or if it’s just his own special touch. He even poured a bit into an espresso cup so my fiancé could try it and make sure the sweet/salty ratio was right. Seriously, above and beyond. My vanilla latte was incredible, not too sweet with real vanilla bean. The avocado bagel was the real star of the show. I was expecting a few slices of avocado but when I got it it was overflowing with honestly what felt like a whole avocado. The flavors from the fresh lettuce, tomato, everything seasoning (and is that pesto?!) complemented each other perfectly. I was only able to eat like half of it right away and had to put the other half under the seat to hopefully stay safe and cool so I could come back to it on the road. To summarize: fresh and real ingredients, great variety, welcoming vibes, friendly service, generous with avocado. Is there anything else you could ask for?

Google
It's our last full day in Eagle Rock (Los Angels). We stop by this little corner bistro to have a cup of coffee before our son was dismissed from his last day of STEM class. I was impressed with the class of service we received. As we waited for the time to pass, my eyes kept going back to the smoked salmon bagel. I couldn't resist it any longer. I purchased said bagel, and was blown away. This was the best bagel combo I've ever eaten in my life. Flavors out of this world, and the smoked salmon was top notch. This is a must stop if you're in this area.

Google
Dope vibe, great coffee, and great sandwiches. Very pleasant baristas were welcoming and super friendly. They also use La Colombe coffee, which is fantastic. Definitely come back here next time I'm in the LA area.

Google
Coffee was smooth. A bit pricey to what I am used to. Though the quality can justify this as a good place to stop by on occasion as a change of pace. The space doesn't feel crowded even when busy. The farmhouse bagel is fresh and the greens on top taste great.

Google
Very nice employees. 2 weeks ago today I was in the area because my grandma took a turn for the worse and was passing. The gentleman ringing me up didn't know why I was there yet he was very sweet and it gave me a little "lift" during a hard time. I will remember that. Thank you guys.

Google
Beautiful cafe, relaxed ambience, great coffee and coffee selection including cold brew, good selection of small bakery items and light meals. Free wifi too. Great place to chill at.

Google
Lovely interior decor! I can’t believe I wasted an hour in Starbucks. I love small businesses because they’re always more personable. Amazing bagel and great drinks. Someone else mentioned not feeling rushed and that’s a perfect description. Anyone who lives near here would benefit from being a regular customer! Just such a great atmosphere.

Google
Awesome spot to get work done & yummy coffee - really enjoyed my experience at Swork! I came around 4 in the afternoon on a Sunday and the place was packed. Luckily I was able to snag a table when someone left. The majority of people there were all studying or doing some kind of work. I like environments like these since the people around me will motivate me to stay focused. The interior was clean and it had overall good vibes. As for their menu, I appreciated the fact that they had a diverse selection of lattes. I'm always interested in trying specialty lattes and this place delivered. I ended up getting a hot Mexican Mayan Mocha latte with soy milk (note, soy is an extra $1). The coffee was delicious. The chocolate flavor was subtle, so it didn't taste super sweet. The only thing I would want next time is to have the coffee made a bit hotter, as it was made on the warmer side. I'm super eager to come back and try their other lattes!

Yelp
Great Coffee Shop in Eagle Rock where Swork used to be located at (trendy location). You can get great coffee there, as well as decent bite size eats as well. Went there with my wife a short while ago since we were in the area. I do miss Swork, but this cafe is also good. It's a little on the pricy side, but that is in line with the location (Eagle Rock on Colorado Blvd. Tip: During prime times, expect a line.. if you are lucky there might be a friendly dog with you in line to pet.

Yelp
We stopped by Unincorporated Coffee Roasters and tried the Le Lemon and the On Te Rocks. The Le Lemon had a flavor reminiscent of Japanese ponzu sauce--not quite what we expected, and probably not something we'd order again. On the other hand, the On Te Rocks, essentially cold brew concentrate over ice, was a solid choice. As someone who enjoys strong coffee, I found it bold and satisfying. The service was quick, though it wasn't particularly busy when we visited. The space has plenty of seating and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, which made it a pleasant spot to hang out. While we might consider coming back to explore some of their other coffee offerings, we're equally open to trying one of the other coffee spots in the area. Overall, a decent experience but not quite a standout for us.

Yelp
Little coffee shop on the corner. They have metered parking in front as well as free street parking around the corner. I ordered a mocha with macadamia milk. Coffee was good - a bit small for the price. My friend got a matcha and did mention it was grainy in the beginning.

Gohar K.

Yelp
After shopping at Milkfarm I came here to get coffee with my husband and son. We got a cold brew with milk and a drip coffee. The coffee was a bit sour for my taste but again it might be just that blend. Spacious coffee shop with a lot of seating. At around 3 pm they were out of all pastries so we just got coffee. A beautiful rainy day in LA ... Service was ok

Andrea R.

Yelp
I've ordered 2 from here through DoorDash and they have not disappointed!! Had to try it out because of the description of the coffee and they live up to it! Got my co workers into it too! Amazing coffee! The cold brew with vanilla & cinnamon if my favorite!!

Jhannyn R.

Yelp
A decent place to get a cup of coffee. My Americano was a bit smaller than I anticipated but I appreciated all the everythingness the bagel brought to the table with all its glorious seeds. Good bagel! The staff was super friendly which is always 1/3 of a coffee shop experience for me. Seems like a good place to work out of with plenty sitting space. I would consider returning whenever I'm in the area.

Patricia D.

Yelp
We were around the area doing errands and needed a little pick-me-up. We searched on Yelp and this was close in proximity. Our visit was on a Friday afternoon, around 2ish. We found parking right away on the street. The place was filled and had a short line. We ordered their green peach iced tea and cortado. The iced tea was lovely and it didn't taste bitter. The espresso on the cortado wasn't bitter like other coffee shops we've tried around LA. Even though the place was filled during our visit, there were still tables available. From stepping into the establishment to drinking our drinks, it was probably 10 minutes. The staff are friendly and quick.

Anna L.

Yelp
Aw idk if a 3.5 star rating is fitting for this coffee shop. I would say 4 stars. It is pricey ($7.75 for their specialty coffees) so that's my only hesitation. COFFEE Paco's Delight is my favorite so far. Le lemon is espresso with lemonade, which reminds me of an espresso + orange juice drink I saw in Thailand but didn't get to try- so I have some bias there. FOOD Their baked goods have quite a good selection - mostly sweet but there are a couple savory (which is what I prefer for mornings). But if you're feeling for a sweet snack/treat, they have great looking goods - I'm always tempted. Their breakfast burrito is also good - I like the crispy exterior- and it is definitely filling. I wish they could give more salsa with it - but that's my wish at most places. PARKING Street/meter parking. I've never had to walk too far: 2 blocks at most. VIBE/AMBIENCE Good place to get work done as well - people often come with laptops but also a good number of people come to hang out/talk with their friend. There are outlets in just a couple places I think.

Veronica S.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee spots the staff is always chill, the music and ambiance is great. Can easily stop by for a quick coffee or get a study sesh in they have plenty of seating. If you're in a mood for a pastry they are pretty good. My fav thing here is the Rico burrito and their salsas are soooo good! They also have another location in Altadena that's equally as great. However this my my preferred location for all the seating available

James W.

Yelp
Could have been better seemed to be a fitting reminder as you sip a $6.50. Located at a once re-noun location and established corner coffee house in Eagle Rock, the new management and established coffee roasters have remodeled and are continuing the space for coffee fans and seating to enjoy. The service is friendly, and the ambiance is more stark than before. You'll find yourself among folks behind their laptops still. Just be aware the drinks are a step up and not in the manner of the beans.

Wayne C.

Yelp
$5 drip coffee with no refills. Another $5 cup is your only option. Or, find another spot... Ok then

Loren R.

Yelp
When I first drove by this place after it opened I thought they were filming something the branding was so obnoxious and out of place for Eagle Rock. I was already turned off, but I wanted to support a new neighborhood business so I tried it, and then I tried it again... and again. I come here when I'm desperate because the staff is so sweet and warm, but sadly the coffee is really disappointing every time. It's a bummer because it's such a great space, pastries are good and people love to work here, but I miss Swork

Boss N.

Yelp
$18.50 For 1 latte / 1 cappuccino / 1pesto, bread Prices are insane my opinion not worth because of the price and quantity, quality didn't impress me same like any other coffee shop just because they put a little art design on your coffee doesn't make it special. I'm going to drink it ! I'm not going to frame it.

Noel C.

Yelp
Service was quick, the place was clean, and lots of room to get work done. I will say that $8 is on the more pricy/expensive side for a matcha latte, but it was decent.

Jason T.

Yelp
The reviews have been quite mixed since SWORK had gone away. The coffee may seem pricey but to me that is the norm of having coffee in LA! The pastries are good and there is a wide variety of sweet and savory to choose from. I know the service can be spotty but that honestly depends on the time of day. Even when Swork was around, the line would be quite long. Where this place can be on par with other shops is the inside. There is a good amount of space to study or catch up with some friends. Great place if you are a local. Parking is mainly street parking and metered. Unless you want to walk across the street in the residential or come on a Sunday.

Olivia S.

Yelp
Lovely ambiance for work, and great service by lovely baristas who ask helpful and clarifying questions to make sure you get what you want. A lot of their coffee drinks seemed to be more tea-ish than coffee, so keep that in mind. We lived the foothill fog with oat milk because it was a tea, but the decaf paco coffee was more tea-ish than we hoped. Super kind staff and we missed the opportunity to try their Phat Bear Coffee specialty drink in honor of Fat Bear Week!!

Sandy C.

Yelp
The ambiance and coffee is amazing! It has a lot of brutal lighting mixed with bright & dim lights throughout the shop. The staff is so accommodating and sweet. But the coffee itself is perfect and stronger than most. It's really good tasty coffee. I highly recommend it.

Aileen H.

Yelp
The flat white is amazing! Solid coffee flavor. I also love the chill vibe. I was here more than 5 years ago and I'm glad to be back and found it to have maintained its indy, laid-back vibe. There is plenty of seating ; 12 small tables, 4 stools along a wall and 4 small tables along a seated cushion wall. The barista who greeted me was friendly. Great place to work and hang out. There is street parking available out front and on the side streets.

Mikaela M.

Yelp
Unsure why this place has 3.5 stars. I think 4 star is appropriate for this place. Fancy latte is pretty good if you like sweet drinks. Iced Americano was pretty standard. I plan to go back to try the Lemon Basil Espresso drink! Service is kind, patient, and fast. The environment is spacious and seems like a good place to get work done.

Mark P.

Yelp
Lovely coffee, indefatigably lovely staff, but two starts because they are always out of pastries by afternoon and do not seem interested in adjusting their ordering after many long months. Also, they switched bakeries awhile back towards something akin to higher end Starbucks. Meh-ish. Farewell to the second best cherry (or strawberry) danish around. (Penny Over has you covered).

Rusty H.

Yelp
Decided to drop in to this coffee shop, fist time, on the way to pick up my car. I was warmly greeted by Zyan and she immediately felt like an old friend. I wished I lived closer so I could stop in more often, great service just makes life happier, right? There's an outdoor community gardens, seating area, just behind their building too. Oh, and my mocha iced latte... delicious!

H S.

Yelp
Super sweet baristas, consistently delicious tea options for non-coffee drinkers, and a great chill place to hang out and work remotely Also a perfect combo with the library in walking distance

Lauren C.

Yelp
What was ordered were two iced vanilla lattes with oat milk and not only did they take awhile to be made, but the taste was doubly disappointing. I know all drinks are not made exactly the same but for both drinks being vanilla lattes with the same milk, they look like two entirely different drinks. My friend picked this place because he always passes by it and he knows I love coffee so that's why we decided on this spot. However, I wish I would have read the reviews before trying this place, although it probably wouldn't have mattered. I still would have wanted to try it for myself, which I did. FYI, I would not recommend the latte or at least the latte that I received. We came in around 4:50p.m. and I can tell the cashier was tired. I get it, he had probably been working since morning, however, he should have been a bit more professional. There were people who came in after us who got their drinks before us. I'm pretty certain that he had forgotten about our drinks but saw we had been waiting awhile. Even when the drinks were being ordered, he asked, "what did you want, again?" As for taste, I already knew just based on service it wasn't going to be the pep in my step that I was hoping for. I was right! Very watered down and unfortunately, had to waste it by dumping it. The interior is cool as well as the exterior. It's easy to spot. You can tell it's a coffee spot because of the evident "coffee" signs but as far as distinguishing the name of the establishment, it's written on the door but hard to spot if you were passing by in your car or not really paying attention.

Olivia S.

Yelp
So I had them on my OTMC with a choice of the lil sumtin or Pacos delight. I was promptly greeted walking in. Cute space, was pretty full (to me) for a Thursday afternoon. Zion helped me and was incredibly personable and friendly. I asked which she recommended, she gave me input, but dId it was best to ask Matthew. I live for staff that love and believe in their products! Matthew was enthusiastic and even excited about the ingredients used. He wanted to know how I liked the drink, and even had me smell the honey blend! How's that for enthusiasm and service! The blend is phenomenal, drinks amazing, and I got this vegan, gluten free granola bar that's also pretty tasty! I can't believe all the classes I've taken at ODD, I've never stopped in. I definitely will be back! Thank you to Zion and Matthew for making the experience amazing! If you're in the area, stop by! You won't be sorry!!!

Amanda C.

Yelp
Most of the baristas are super chill and friendly although it seems like a lot of the old guard left over/since the summer, which is sad. Honestly, the new vibe is not as friendly and welcoming, though everyone is professional and helpful. Just a slightly more corporate uptight vibe, but there's been a shift. They used to let us hang out after closing for a little while my daughter was doing homework, but it's clear they don't want us to do that anymore. Which is fine, but today we were given a five-minute warning - I guess we have a bad reputation lol. Food and coffee still great.

Tracy K.

Yelp
First time coming here. Parking is metered and residential parking available. There's seats available inside with one big table in the back for 6. There's two tables outside. I ordered a hot matcha latte for $7 . Ridiculous Upcharges we're the .75 cents for the oat milk and $2 for extra matcha. My tiny drink came out to be $9.75. I will be ordering something else next time. If you're lactose intolerant you need to pay more for a milk substitute. There was one chocolate vegan donut available at the time I was there. All the outlets are blocked out so you cannot study there if you need to charge anything. They do have free wifi though. Staff were nice. I like that they have some food vegan options available. Will try it next time.

Tony R.

Yelp
Love the coffee here at first taste. I've been coming here for a while now and have been enjoying the Paco's Delight. But the Lil Sumtin' just blew my brains away. Wow! The flavor is amazing. I can't recommend this place enough. Or maybe I should be more selfish and not share this little piece of heaven with you. However, I want this place to be around for years to come so that I can enjoy this amazing coffee!!!!!

Paolo T.

Yelp
$8 for a latte is a joke. Increasing the price $2 more in a span of 4 months is wild. Not coming back here anymore.

Jamie O.

Yelp
Was in the area and needed a little pick-me-up, and this place looked cute! Stopped in for a matcha, but their Ice Tea looked good, so I grabbed one of those and it was a great choice. My partner got an Iced Matcha with Lavender sweetener, and said the lavender wasn't too overbearing. It was pretty warm inside the store, but we weren't in there for long so we didn't mind too much. The staff were very nice and they were quick with our drinks! Overall pleasant experience.

Jacklyn D.

Yelp
Tried this place on a Saturday afternoon around 1PM and it was not that busy. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. The menu is simple - I asked which was the most popular latte people ordered and it is Paco's Delight. This latte was delicious and had a kick of spices - reminded me of a Fall Latte. It was a unique spice blend and creamy. I also tried the Fancy Latte - this had the perfect balance of sweet and creaminess ( as described on their menu). They added sprinkles on top (A LOT). The thought is very creative, but I wish I had chosen to opt out of the sprinkles. As far as pricing, each latte was $7.25.

Mike C.

Yelp
Makes no sense why this isn't a 4+ star spot. Coffee and espresso drinks are real good, pastries are solid, and the people are awesome. What more do you need in a local coffee spot?

Brian H.

Yelp
Great latte/strong coffee, nicely decorated interior/ambiance. Not a big pastry guy but banana walnut muffin was excellent. Kind, flexible staff. Shop is definitely underrated. Should be between 4-5 stars.

Axel H.

Yelp
During the summer heatwave, starbucks closed down for two days but I needed my coffee before going to work. So I decided to try out this small coffee place. Right as I walked in, the entire store smelled like pee. It was very disgusting and disturbing, knowing that they serve food. I ignored it and I placed an order for a latte. The staff were very nice and friendly and helped me place the order correctly, so I have no complaints about them. I received my drink and right off the bat, it had a very light color. I didn't think much of it so I just left. I got a sip of the coffee and it was very watery and there was not enough espresso in it. This was very disappointing as I spent about $7 on a watered down drink. As I am reading these reviews, I wonder if I just went on the wrong day or the wrong time. Nonetheless I would never go back here again.

Pauline T.

Yelp
Their coffee is solid and for food they have a great breakfast burrito! I understand the trend of inflation but for a cup of coffee and a burrito is $20 after tip. The service is pleasant and the latte foam art is always pretty. Cost of rent in Colorado blvd is not cheap I understand. So when I want to splurge I still stop in to treat myself.

Joy S.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood coffee shop. Got the matcha latte with oat milk, thought it was a little bitter for my taste but not too bad! They have tons of pastries and hot foods as well.

belinda n.

Yelp
Free easy nearby parking. Clean interior w/ lots of tables. Professional friendly staff. BATHROOM AVAILABLE (1 stall). $4 for a regular hot coffee. It was yummy, not too strong but not watery. I asked for oat milk on the side so not sure if that was included in the price. Didn't scope the baked goods so can't opine. The napkins provided are like deluxe heavy duty napkins ! I'll return next time I'm in the area & the occasion arises.

angela k.

Yelp
Its so bad here now. This last barista is the worst. Its been going downhill for awhile though. The customer service is poor half of the time. The wait is sometimes 25 min for a cup of coffee bc of the inefficiency. My milk was given to me lukewarm instead of hot, the barista touches the rim of the cup when handling it all the time...umm my mouth goes there. its just all around bad. I went for the last 2 months hoping its an off day, but has been consistently just been bad all around. I probably spend $160 a month here minimum. Ive stopped going completely. Its a shame. When made right, their coffee is really good.

Maritza Y.

Yelp
Very lovely service, sweet people behind the counter and generally a cool vibe Young man, serving meat was very friendly and helpful. Feel bad for them, because the drinks don't have any explanations on the menu so they have to do a lot of talking. I would suggest that business to add explanations. I was too embarrassed to ask about all the drinks. I looked it up online .

Nelson M.

Yelp
This is a great place to work for a bit, read, or meet with friends. The baristas are usually pretty friendly and the drinks are made quickly. I agree with other reviews that say that the pastries are exceptional. I'm fairly picky with coffee and the drinks here are very good, and there are good non-caffeinated drinks to enjoy as well. With the high ceilings and music playing in the background, you can comfortably have a conversation without disturbing others. It's never been empty when I visit and there have always been one or two tables open for me to stop by for an hour or two, focus, and knock some work out. Although the drinks are not "cheap," you're paying for a place to hangout for a bit. Oxy is nearby so reviewers complaining about the price of coffee may be students from out of state where there's a more pervasive and inexpensive coffee scene.

Dan P.

Yelp
i get that everything is a little more expensive. but charging an extra 75 cents for oat milk is the type of nickel & diming that turns me away. $5 for a simple flat white is bad enough. then the 75 cents, then that stupid screen where the cheapest default tip is $1, and the kid looking right at me, waiting. the drink wasn't even 8 oz; it was so tiny i had to ask, and it was a paltry 6 oz! too many cafes in the area for this place to even be a consideration in the future.

Kathy L.

Yelp
Great spot to chill and to study! There was plenty of street parking nearby. Inside, it's spacious and very calm even though it can get busy. Lots of nice natural lighting! The music is not too distracting if you're trying to get work done. There is good wifi and they have a bathroom for customers too. There are not too many outlets, just a set of 4 in the back by the big table. Had a latte here and it was pretty good! Definitely down to come back for another study session. :)

Alexis H.

Yelp
I miss Swork. This place cuts corners and my coffee is never quite right. I just got home with my "vanilla latte." A latte is espresso, ok? We all know this. They were busy and someone apparently didn't want to mess with the espresso machine, so my "latte" is just a vanilla cold brew. They didn't tell me that, however, so I thought we were good to go and I left with this offensive beverage in-hand. Not only do I deeply hate cold brew, cold brew is cheaper than a latte. So I overpaid, yet again, for something I don't like and will not drink. There are SO many coffee shops in eagle rock there's no reason to go back here. I finally learned my lesson today. Never again. There are so many people who need jobs right now - Idk your situation, but you need to either pay your employees more so they're better to their customers, or hire people who care. Call the old swork owners and get their staff back.

Alec A.

Yelp
Taste: I got an iced oat latte. It wasn't great. Passable in a pinch. The food was really bad sadly, it tasted like it was straight from the frozen food aisle and heated up. Experience: the service was friendly and helpful. I feel bad posting a bad review for their sake. On the bright side, the latte was $1 cheaper than hipper cafes. I think the decor and ambience reminds me of a late-2000s indie cafe, it's a little bit twee, but who cares. If the coffee were better, I wouldn't mind as much, but it made me dislike the place even more because it was cutesy and not good. Mood Before/After: I was really excited to check it out since I just moved to the neighborhood. After, I felt disappointed and probably will never go back. Fullness: the Rico burrito was smaller than I want for a breakfast burrito. I needed a real breakfast after What else did I eat/do today affecting my experience: this was my first stop of the day, woke up after a good rest.

Alique B.

Yelp
Great coffee and nice ambiance. The service was fair. Street parking only so be aware of the parking meters!

Lucy G.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop. Amazing vibes, great flavors and unsurpassed service. Thank you for being a great staple in the neighborhood!!

Lolia S.

Yelp
Welcome to Eagle Rock, Unincorporated Coffee! UC just took over the Swork space on the corner of Colorado and Eagle Rock Blvd. Today is their first day open. We've been enjoying Unincorporated Coffee since 2018, when they opened in Altadena. The Eagle Rock shop isn't that different. Same coffee (they roast their own), same scrumptious Farm Shop pastries (croissants, muffins, danish, cookies, bagels). They have espresso drinks, cold brew, nitro, tea, and pour over coffee. Mr. Froyo approves! Unincorporated Coffee roasts their own beans, using the highest quality arabica beans roasted in small batches. They've been selling at LA farmers markets since 2013. * Flat white ($5): Small but strong, nice foam art * Blueberry muffin: My favorite pastry there. Love the crunchy crumb topping, the moist cake, and the abundance of blueberries. Their coffees are stronger and more robust. Most are medium roast. Coffee beans are for sale, as well as some bottled and canned beverages, coffee accessories, and UC gear. You can also sign up for a coffee subscription and buy the beans online. You can text or order online to skip the line. And they have a rewards program. The new shop has much more seating than the Altadena one. It was popular with laptop campers before and should continue to be a popular meeting & camping spot. Ask for the wifi password. P.S. They kept the Swork employees :-)

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of seating to go around. I nice vibe. A lot of Chem ex. Got the lil sumthin. Was watered down and not what I expected unfortunately. Nice place to do work at though.

Chloé C.

Yelp
Good for work, friendly employees, lots of tables, good air conditioning. Outside tables too. They sell fresh recently roasted beans

Gary I.

Yelp
The only reason why I gave 2 stars is that the service was actually nice. The employees were very warm and welcoming. However, the coffee quality is not great and all our beverages tasted watery. We went here a couple of times and both times the drinks were watered down.
