Sycamore Bar + Flower Shop

Bartender didn't state their name but made great drinks! Great environment, the bar didn't have a flower vibe. Would definitely come back again though. I look forward to the ever changing cocktails and ingenuity!

This bar has no food, so can’t say about food, but they allow outside food which is a plus. Drinks take long to make and are weak. We had few drinks, including a classic old fashioned, color looked off and weak drink and they are not cheap. The good thing about it is its backyard with good vibe to chat. Bar has many themes for different nights, or day of the month, such as drag bingo night, taro card reading night and others. If you like to join different activities, it would be good for you since it’s pretty local and close to the train station.

It's a cool spot. The inside is a bit cramped and dark, but the backyard is expansive. Good brews on tap and bottle / can. The flower shop is by day, but they still have a beer and bouquet special for $10 if you need something to explain you stop by the bar. Also, lots of themed nights going on.

Was out having a nice night with my husband and a friend. When my husband stepped out, a regular at the bar sat himself down and proceeded to hit on us, insult us, etc. We tried to set boundaries but he wouldn't back off, and insulted us and our fanilies. When we eventually told him off and moved to the backyard, others who knew him were out there and while they acted sympathetic, it became clear that they all knew each other and were friendly with one of the bartenders. They all knew who had bothered us and said he had done it before. Really sad to cross this off our list of neighborhood bars but it's not a safe or comfortable space to hang out anymore. They have a Darryl problem.

This was a great bar with great bartenders, but in the last few years, the bartenders are pretty unfriendly (sometimes nasty) and prices are totally random. I was charged $18 for a Boulevardier in a tiny glass (they rarely serve drinks in the correct barware; don't even think about ordering wine) and as I watched him make it, he completely skimped on each ingredient. A previous time, a bartender who made a Negroni with the wrong ingredients argued with me about it and then googled it and apologized. No, my friend, you don't add random grapefruit bitters.

A perfect bar - seriously. Great beer selection with a wide range of brews beyond the typical hoppy IPA. Good selection of cans extends to international brewers as well! The cocktails looked lovely though I didn’t try one. The space is delightful both inside and out - super comfy and picturesque at the same time with an enormous back garden filled with plants. The service is wonderful too. As if it needed to get better, they also serve bites to eat from the next door Farm on Adderley.

Amazing drinks! However the bartender was not so nice. We were sitting in the backyard area and having a smoke while enjoying our drink; dudes comes in and asks us to not smoke and there was guys that were sitting near the indoor space and smoking openly, this guy decided to tell us to stop and did not tell the other guys to stop. We were in the wrong but there was no spots all the way in the back. I can not comprehend if it was a racist thing or not but the guy def was douch so we left the bar after one drink.

Great drinks. And absolutely stunning candles for sale in the flower shop (along with other beautiful things, but damn those candles were something else!!) You can also bring food in from nearby restaurants, so grab a bacon egg & cheese on the corner and have a few drinks- way better than an expensive brunch. 😂🙏🏻

I came here with a few friends on a Tuesday evening. There is a ton of outside seating on the patio, so we sat there. The bartenders were nice and drinks were affordable. You can bring in outside food, which is great. We just went to hang out, but it looks like they also host social events (ex.: trivia, themed-nights, etc.).

Update. The vibe has improved. Real candles. Less clutter, better lighting...yay! It is better.

What can I say about this spot? It was a spur of the moment vibe on a Sunday night after listening to steel pans in Prospect Park. I was with my bestie & she could not make up her mind on where to go. She opt for Cortelyou Rd. Okay. Walked inside were it's dimly lit & lightly buzzing. We were the only chocolate amongst the patrons. Ordered neats of our likings and I found the bartenders not very personable. One even dug for lemon with his fingers. I'm sure that was for spite. Yikes! We then headed to the garden. It's cute. Nice benches and bar set up. Still, I will not be going back. I think impartial ppl who judge ppl so harshly rather skin tone or privilege do not deserve this good energy. We came in peace and was greeted with blah. Either case, it's cute but not for me. I prefer diversity & getting to know ppl before passing judgement.

This place is hit or miss. On certain theme nights, the place can be very welcoming and enjoyable. On regular nights, the place can be as cold as the North Pole. And I don't mean temperature. There are two bartenders, one of them tall, who is obnoxious anytime I go there, and the other bartender, he's short but gives gatekeeper vibes. They do not give a welcoming vibe. I travel far to come here too, I definitely won't be going back on a Friday . There are other places on Cortelyou you can hit up.

Stopped into Sycamore Bar + Flowershop for a drink on Friday night. The drinks were fine, but I just felt like there were no comfortable places to relax and enjoy. Quality: During our visit I went with a Frozen Margarita, while my wife selected a Pain Killer. The Frozen Margarita was very sour and could have benefited from added sweetness, but it was still okay. The Pain Killer was fine as well. The cocktail list looked like a lot of standards, but everything was made with high quality liquor. Quantity: No issues with the size or strength of drinks. Value: $13-$15 for Signature Cocktails. $12 for Frozen Cocktails. Ambiance: Sycamore Bar + Flowershop is located in Flatbush. I thought I understood the concept, but upon arrival I realized I didn't really get it. It just seemed like an extended bar without anything else. They had an area out-front with wobbly high-tops, a small weirdly arranged inside space that was very warm, and a large outdoor patio with benches and umbrella coverings that filled with cigarette smoke. The music was good, but it just was not comfortable anywhere, we ended up moving several times during our visit. Crowd: Busy, but not packed. Service: Absurd bouncer who seemed to be harassing everyone. The bartenders were nice, but they seemed to have too many causing some chaos behind the bar. Parking: Limited street parking.

Been going here for quite a few years now,Love this place so much..the atmosphere is great the drinks are amazing,happy hour is really good. My partner and I have brought so many friends here and they all love it. You can bring in your own food as well and the best part is The Bartenders are attentive,friendly and quick..the place is usually very busy but you always find a seat inside,they also have tables in the front of the bar and a back yard with tables as well...Great Neighborhood Spot for sure.

Super cool. Local and nicest people ever. When I lived nearby I used to come here A LOT. Ltealy I moved so not as much, but still one of the hottest spots you will find.

Stopped by Sycamore for good music and a few drinks on Saturday night with my friend. What we got was an extremely rude bartender. Guy in the maroon beanie. He stood behind the bar with his arms crossed over his chest staring at people straight faced and dryly asking customers "What's up?" to take their drink orders. He acted like everyone was inconveniencing him. Including the rest of the staff. Then to top things off my friend received an extra charge on her card. A parting gift, perhaps? No thanks. Never again. Take my advice and go to Westwood on Foster Ave instead. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are always good.

This place has gone downhill. Whatever you do, don't get their frozen drinks. They barely put any alcohol in them. A friend who doesnt drink much had their frozen margarita and felt nothing. So she had another. Still felt nothing. So she had another. Stone cold sober. Total ripoff.

Overall cool bar but Frozen drinks suck. Literally taste like a slushie. You'll have more luck with a mixed cocktail or beer & shot. You can also bring outside food & plenty of seating. Dogs are allowed but in the front area.

I always come to this bar but tonight the new bartenders here are not friendly at all. Especially the one with a little Pony tail miss the old ones who have great customer service. They don't seem to want to help or show any type of hospitality when you ask for suggestions it's just a shrug. I even witnessed them throwing a man out the bar saying " Get the F Out" definitely not customer service oriented. Wont be going back unless there is new bartenders. I miss the old ones they were a delight.

I've been to this place about 7 years ago and I figured I give it another try. I went to meet up with a friend for the first time and I didn't like the bartenders attitude towards my friend. We were one of the few black people in there and we felt disconnected. The bartender was rude (bearded slim tall dark hair with a knit hat). He asked my partner if he wanted to open a tab and I don't think my friend understood or heard him properly and then he disrespectfully said "you clearly don't go out to bars much huh"? My friend did not care but I thought it was rude. There was also almost a fight. A customer and his crew were accused of bringing beer in from the bodega. I thought it was a joke, but an Asian woman came in the bar from the yard screaming about them stealing beer! So confusing....the group almost fought the bartender....hot ass mess.... I will not be returning to this s**tty watering hole...also...the flowers looked DEAD!

If you enjoy listening to white people talk about the problems of PoC, then this is the bar for you. As mixed as this neighborhood is, you wouldn't know that coming here. It's clientele can sometimes be overwhelmingly pretentious, especially true after reading about how this place needs redecorating, or having the nerve to think a bartender can't tell someone to fuck off. Its owners don't allow any buybacks, and some have even gotten suspended for taking care of their guests TOO graciously. Its such a bizarre state of what they are trying to do here, when in reality, the owners have no idea what makes a successful bar, and just throw every gimmick at it that they can. The original owners knew what they were doing.

Great place. Great drinks. Loved the back deck/patio, but I wasn't prepared to see 'NYC wildlife' (if you know what I mean) run into the patio area in the middle of the afternoon. But it's NYC. Great place.

Stopped by earlier tonight with a friend to grab a drink and check the place out. Very cool layout, many beer options as well as a few cocktails. I really hoped they would have some signature drinks, but sadly nothing stood out. The service was fantastic, the decor was cool and they had many beers options.

The bar tender seems to go out of his way to be as rude as possible to people. For a neighborhood that is generally friendly this kind of attitude towards people just isn't okay. I'd say avoid this place if you can but for the lack of other good places to go to. ...avoid if you can.

This use to be one of favorite bars in Brooklyn. The bartenders were so friendly and knowledgeable. It had that true Brooklyn ditmas vibe. So I decided since I was in town to make a stop after dinner for a drink for nostalgia. I was asking bartender about a drink that I use to always get for old times sake. I was absolutely taken back by how short he was with me. I was basically "wasting his time". He wanted me to order and move along. I was so taken back that my friend stepped and say hey that was rude. He has a nasty retort which he said right in front of me. I didn't even bother I just left at point out of pure disappointment.. Not sure if it was because his ponytail was way too tight but he had a seriously bad attitude. There goes the neighborhood....

On a Saturday evening, I visited this bar with my girlfriend and we met some friends here. This place has a nice outdoor seating area in the back, so we all sat at a table outside. Everything was nicely spaced out and we felt safe. You had to order your drinks up at the main bar area, and then bring them to your table. I was drinking a double ipa craft beer that they had on draft. It was from evil twin brewery. This beer was delicious, as I love craft beers and I love ipa beers. They also had a nice overall selection of all kinds of different beers on both draft and in cans or bottles. Overall, this is a fun bar in a good neighborhood, to chill with a group of people and just enjoy outdoor drinking and catching up.

Why did the hipster burn his tongue? Because he ate his food before it was cool...that sums up the bartenders. They will ignore you, unless you are the coolest, like them. Lol..seriously though, go somewhere else. If they don't like your look, they won't serve you. Stay cool guys

Revising my review. It's been a year and during COVID this has been my spot to catch up with friends over a bev or two. Consistent and good , decent service. Pretty good adherence to COVID safety precautions too. Thanks, guys!

Busy body hunched man at front who refuses to look at clients but gladly tosses me and my friends out for showing picture of real state issued ID and then asks "are you serious?!?" As I walk passed him to pay my bills. 5 people on the street passed us commenting about how this place sucks because of the grumpster at the door.

I love this place ! The vibe is so cool , staff is friendly the music is always on point & most importantly THe DRINKS ARE AMAZING!!They do not skimp ! The ambiance is the perfect mood for a intimate chill date or a night or just hanging with a Group of friends .either wayy you are certain to Enjoy yourself ..,.. they also havE weekly events and a happy hr GOT MY VOTE

The cutest bar! Love that Sycamore is in my neighborhood. The ambiance is excellent. It's perfect for both dates or getting together with friends. The outdoor seating is perfect for summer nights too! Their cocktails menu is great and the bartenders are friendly. You can bet that I'll be back here all the time! Hoping to check out the flower shop during the day too.

March 13th, 2021 - 8pm. The bartender was so rude. Condescending. He clearly hates his job. As a bartender & paying customer who identifies with the difficulty of navigating this pandemic, i did my best to understand his lack of patience. But my goodness, he was so rude. Not only to customers, but his coworker. I can't say that I won't be back, but if I see him... I'm walking right back out. Consider this. As a service worker, I understand frustration... but noone in this world deserves his level of incompetence & discontent. Please consider hiring staff that actually wants to work here. He's terrible & a reflection of your business. Not a good look. UPDATE - March 15th, 2021 - 12:25pm: Management at this establishment cares enough to hear out neighborhood concerns and I appreciate the discourse they allow. Although this particular night with that specific bartender left a bad taste in my mouth, I must say that every other time I've been here and there's been a different bartender - I had a great time. Thank you management, for trying to keep customers safe and for responding to concerns in a timely and compassionate manner. Take good care.

Spent an afternoon hoofing around Ditmas Park so was glad to stop in Sycamore B&F for a beverage. Bartender super friendly and Draft IPA perfect. Sat out back with Fam enjoying a gorgeous afternoon and our time together until "smokers" arrived (yes the back tent doubles as the smoking area). So we learned and what was a 5 star experience went south. Oh well‍

Came here on a rainy Sunday. There's like 3 different sections, some covered outdoor seating with make shift tents and some indoor seating. They had heat lamps but not enough to service every table. You have to go to the bar to order and get a bag of chips to fulfill the food with beverage law. They have a partnership with some restaurant where you order your food and the outside restaurant delivers it to your table which is cool I guess. The drinks were just ok. The happy hour was supposed to be $5 well drinks til 4 but I'm not quite sure that was the case. There were a wide variety of ppl hanging out here which was cool but it won't be my go to spot at all.

I've been to Sycamore so many times but I have never reviewed it until now. I love the idea of a bar that sells beer and flowers since my husband loves beer and I'm not much of a drinker but I do love flowers. It's a win-win situation. Loved the flowers when Stems was here but love Honeysuckle Hill just as much. You know when dive bars have that distinctive smell? Well, Sycamore doesn't quite have that smell, but it does give off a divey kind of feel. I appreciate their outdoor space in the summer and their cute little cabin motif in the winter. They also have different types of classes/events at this space... whether it's a flower arranging workshop, bingo, horoscope night, or a painting class. They have a full bar with a fine selection, as far as I can tell. They recently got a frozen margarita machine which is awesome for the hot summer days. They also started serving food from next door (The Farm on Adderley) but you have to order it online and pick it up in their backyard. Be aware that nobody under 21 is allowed in past 5 pm and no strollers are permitted inside. All the bartenders are nice and you meet some interesting people at the bar and overhear some weird conversations. P.S. $10 for a pint of beer and a cute bouquet of flowers!

Love this cute neighborhood bar. Low-key, friendly, and great drinks. I originally came here on my birthday and have been back a few times because I love it so much! The service is friendly, and the array of local and US-based small business offerings in the front near the flower shop is a nice add-on. The woman working there was making a flower crown for a little girl that came in that day and it was a sweet scene to watch. Highly recommend if you're in the area, or even if you want to explore a part of Brooklyn that many don't take the time to venture into.

Huge backyard. Strong drink selection. Many events hosted at night. Great bartenders. Flowers in the front. All around neat, multi-purpose spot that's definitely worth a return (whether for trivia, or other events). Certainly stands out for the neighborhood.

Love this bar! Used to live in the neighborhood and visiting my family, I discovered some cool locations have popped up! Fun cocktails and good craft beer options make this place for me but the thing that put it on top is they have a great backyard experience. Great neighborhood vibes! Frozen margarita hit the spot on the hot day that I visited. Give it a shit! Definitely a revisit back for me in the future!

I came with a group of friends celebrating a birthday and one of my friends went to the bar and got himself a drink he paid for it and one of the bartenders followed my friend to where we was sitting and rudely asked him where is my tip. My friend felt uncomfortable so we decide to leave because he didn't like how the bartender approached him and also told us he was gonna stop serving us just because he didn't get a tip from friend my that had just arrived and just bought one drink

Very cool bar that also is conveniently a flower and plant shop in the day from 11am to 6pm. Valentines plans anyone? Gotta pick up a nice v-day plant for that special someone and want to chase it later with a craft beer? Then this is your spot to go to! I jest. But not really. It wins major brownie points for being within walking distance of my apartment. It also wins my praise because their music selection was keeping me grossly entertained and kept my nose out of my book while I waited for a friend running late. Happy Hour is phenomenal: Wait for it - $3 well drinks! (I didn't know these prices still existed in nice bars), $1 off all draft beers/wines Monday-Friday 2pm-7pm and Weekends (Yes, EVEN THE WEEKEND) 12pm-4pm, Late Night Happy Hour (12am - 2am Mon-Thurs). They also have a special on alcohol for every single day. So that might convince you to come back every single day. One in particular caught my little eye on Wednesdays they do an awesome flight deal so you can sip a plethora of beers to your hearts content: 4 5oz pours of anything on tap for $9. Not bad. In warmer months they have an outdoor patio with a rotating selection of food vendors: Pop's Wings, El Super Tacos, Thai Food, Fish tacos, sausages, etc. The ambiance inside though since I was here on a blistery cold day about a month ago and didn't ever experience the outdoor food garden, is a combination of both sexiness and is classy with glowing bar tops and huge mirrors. But then it is also very laid-back and divey. There are also those plants. Though, this place is very tiny inside so get comfy or come early to get a seat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and let me sample as many beers as I really wanted before making a final decision. Several thumbs up and will most definitely be back.

Great vibe and drinks. Their bar is super impressive, lots of whiskey/bourbon options. I tried their old fashioned and another bourbon drink and they were both fantastic! Kudos to the amazing bartenders that were attentive and knew how to make a good drink def returning! Only con about this place was that it was hot and stuffy inside. Went out back to the garden area and it was packed! So def go early if you wanna grab a spot outside.

So I just needed a bar, something close to home and comfortable. Enter Sycamore. I've walked past here plenty of times and never bothered to enter. It serves a dual purpose as a flower shop and a bar, so that's cool. Get some flowers and a drink-- two birds, one stone. Now, there is a beautiful array of beer and hard liquor. I was going to go for a beer, but the bartender said the frozen margarita was pretty good, so I said "Why not?" It really was good-- not overly sweet, but boozy enough too. Music was really well curated though, it was loud. It was a Sat night, and if one is looking for a quiet/not so rowdy bar, this is NOT THE ONE FOR YOU, especially on a Saturday night. However, the noise is made up for by the large outdoor backyard. This, along with the noise, caused the full demerit of a star. Smoking does not go well with me and there was so much of it in the backyard, which would be fine if not for the unenforced No Smoking sign. I'll be back if only to try more of their house drinks, but it will most definitely not be on a Sat night. As always, happy eating and drinking. MarieMG.

I'm really sad to have to give such a terrible rating to a bar that I've liked very much in the 2+ years I've been visiting, but the way I was treated tonight has made me decide never to come here again, nor to ever visit Rusty Nail on Foster Ave. in Brooklyn, which is owned by the same people. I went with my partner to meet a friend at Sycamore around 8:00 PM today, Friday, March 12. We know that the bar closes at 11:00 PM and were prepared for any restrictions related to the closing time, particularly since we were sitting in their outdoor setup on the sidewalk. Everything was great until a little before 11:00 PM, when we were instructed to go inside. That was absolutely fine with us -- we love our neighborhood bars and want to do whatever we need to do to help them comply with the rules around COVID-19, which I know can be tricky. We went inside as instructed, with full drinks in hand, since they'd served us only a few minutes beforehand. However, once we were inside, we were screamed at (really -- this is not an exaggeration, it was like switch flipped and the previously relaxed, professional bartender and bar back were suddenly in a war zone) that we couldn't be drinking (again, that's fine, though not what we were told) and when I asked what we were supposed to do, the bartender literally screamed at me to stop arguing with him, protesting that he'd "been nice all day." I'm sure he has, and I'm sure that this is a difficult job to maintain during a pandemic; however, I have also been nice all day at my job and I don't really know what to do when I'm being screamed at for both doing exactly what I was told to do and also asking clarifying questions when I'm told that's wrong. He continued to yell at me to "stop drinking!!" when I had my mask fully on and was holding my full drink in my hand, trying to figure out what they wanted me to do. Finally, they screamed at me that I had to put my drink in a paper cup to take outside, which I complied with. This is honestly bizarre. It's like the bartender and bar back were performing for an audience I couldn't see. But at the end of the day, I don't know the rules and regulations bars are expected to follow! I'm happy to do what you tell me to do, but screaming at me isn't the solution. I don't know what kind of stress this bar is putting its employees under, but the two people working 8-11 tonight need to be given paid time off to rest if this is how they're interacting with people. I'm an adult woman with autism and I have a very thick skin when it comes to interacting with people; I know that I can misunderstand things sometimes and I know that it must be hard to shepherd a bunch of drunk people at the end of the night. But I was treated with utter vitriol in this bar for no reason, and the fact that the men around me weren't yelled at in a similar way makes me think that there's some element of misogyny here too. I will say that I've been to Sycamore many times at closing both pre-COVID and during COVID and have never experienced this kind of hostility from any of the other bartenders or bar backs, whom I've generally found to be lovely, even when explaining what we needed to do to comply with COVID regulations. However, I'm so shaken by the experience that I feel it outweighs any positive associations I have with the bar, and I'll be certain to share this negative assessment with everyone I know in the neighborhood. Do not go to Sycamore or to Rusty Nail. I'm more than happy to talk about this incident directly with bar management if they're interested.

This review is specifically about the bar (not the flower shop). There's a lovely bar back who is super friendly, but the two bartenders (short dude with a ponytail & tall angry guy). Not sure what's their deal but they need to cool it with the attitude. It's not cute.

This was a sweet spot to enjoy a cold glass of rosé on a hot summer night near the Cortelyou B/Q stop. My initial approach was in the dark, and even with Google maps, I had a little trouble finding the entrance, but some kind neighborhood folk who are probably used to interlopers looking confused pointed me on my way. Service at the bar wasn't over the top friendly (I had to wait a while to be noticed even though it wasn't super crowded), but the back patio area was very comfortable and not overly loud, and I didn't feel bad nursing a single drink over the course of an hour. I'd give this place another shot, as it seems to be well beloved and one of the best of its kind in this particular area of Flatbush.

Solid bar with reliable and efficient bartenders and great vibe. Came here on a Friday night and enjoyed an old-fashioned with my choice of bourbon. Extremely fair prices for what you get ($9 for top shelf cocktail) and a fantastic DJ that was spinning the perfect mix of 2000s hip hop and soul classics. I find it rare to find a bar with good music AND good cocktails and this spot had both. The patrons were a nice treat as well---everyone seemed to be super casual, respectful and genuinely there to just chill. It was nice to be in a bar with zero expectations and positive vibes. What a gem. Can't wait to go back.

It's an amazing space to enjoy adult beverages. The staff (Danny) is knowledgeable and friendly. It's an easy place to lose a Sunday afternoon. You're gonna love it!

I didn't venture in to the bar, so I can't comment on the previous reviews of it. What I CAN tell you is that the little flower space in the front -- called "florescent" (so Yelp thinks I wanted lighting services) is wonderful. I almost passed it by, but when I understood that it was a real florist, and wanting to bring my wife flowers, I walked in and was treated with such cheerful kindness by Emily, I was glad I'd braved the impulse to walk on by. Emily didn't have an ounce of the hauteur I've encountered in some florists, "Oh, you're a man who knows nothing, let me show you what you really want," -- no, she helped me design a lovely bouquet, listened to my suggestions, kept within my price range, and my wife was very happy with the result. I'll go there again, and you should also. Postscript: when I told my wife where I'd bought the flowers, it turned out that she also had ordered flowers from the place and had dealt with Samantha, with equivalent happiness. I'm a newcomer to Cortelyou Road, which seems to have everything one could want: now it has a wonderful florist shop.

Rating would be much much higher if I could separate the bar from the flower shop, but since they are listed as one... Used to frequent the flower shop under the previous owner. Not the cheapest spot but you get what you pay for and the owner was super knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Tried twice now with the new management. Woman who currently runs the flower shop is rude to put it nicely. Zero effort to assist in arrangements, zero desire to talk about the product they offer and visible eye rolls have me taking my business elsewhere. Customer service ain't easy and it ain't for everyone.

I'm bordering on offering another star. I've been here twice this summer, and both times, I was treated well, and actually found the majority of the staff and patrons to be quite lovely and fun-loving. I'm thinking there must have been a change in management/ownership, because it is NOT what it once was; it has made a change for the better. For the first time ever, I'm actually gathering a group of friends to visit this place. Please Baby Jesus, let the pleasing personalities persist, because I really would like a crash pad in the nabe with such a lovely garden. Smooches!

Sycamore! This place is my best friend. Right across the street from me, so its great when you don't have to go to far from a night out drinking. The bar selection is amazing-- lots of bourbon and whiskey as well as top shelf liquor. Inside is pretty mellow- great seating near the bar as well as around the bar. There's also outdoor seating for those wonderful warm summer nights, Thank you Sycamore- for always keeping my glass full! location in the area is also a plus! This place does get pretty packed on the weekends.

You have a fine bar with great prices but you need to do better with your bartenders. The dude on tonight-- tall, baseball hat, major attitude -- was the kind of guy who is right about everything and the customer is always wrong. I actually heard him tell a female customer to "use her words" when she pointed to the frozen drink she wanted, and then he told me I ordered my drink "wrong" and he knew how to order it right. How is that customer-friendly? It's my go-to place in the neighborhood but I won't be back until he's gone.

Great neighborhood watering hole with excellent whiskey selection and solid music. Back garden offers up good vibes, as do their no BS bartenders.
