"The Deal: $5 well drinks; $1 off wine and draft beer; $8 well shot and a pint of Lionshead; $2 off frozen margaritas; $7 shot of Jameson or Four Roses The front of this bar in Ditmas Park is a fully-operating flower shop during the day, and the backyard has string lights, a bunch of picnic tables, and some pine trees. The deals are pretty great here—and you can even enjoy them on weekends." - bryan kim, willa moore, neha talreja
"Sycamore has a great garden backyard with string lights, a bunch of picnic tables, and some pine trees (possibly the only ones in NYC when it’s not Christmas). The front of this bar is a fully-operating flower shop during the day, which is both adorable and useless. Come day or night, bring a pizza if you want, and it’ll feel like your own personal oasis in Ditmars Park. Also - they run a Happy Hour on weekdays from 3-7pm, and weekends from 1-4pm." - hannah albertine, nikko duren
"Sycamore — a flower shop by day and bar by night — offers the all-day menu from its nearby neighbor, the Farm on Adderley. This bar is a great spot to grab a draft beer or a whiskey cocktail, but the food shouldn’t be overlooked with the likes of fried squid with sorrel buttermilk dressing or a brunch-time sourdough French toast. Flowers are provided by partner Florescent, set to a backdrop of black walls, retro-style red-and-white checkerboard flooring, and a white Christmas light-adorned oversized mirror. Throughout the week, DJs and drag bingo pop up as well as the BYO Vinyl night taking place every other week. A covered outdoor backyard that opens up in the spring and summer makes this a year-round destination for a quick bite or a sweaty night of dancing." - Gabriella Cascone

"A bar and flower shop hybrid that manages to never feel kitschy, Sycamore is instead cute, dark, often busy, and keen on not taking itself seriously. Pluses: food can be ordered from the Farm on Adderley next door, and there’s a $10 deal for a pint of beer and a bouquet of flowers." - Patty Diez
