I went here on a Wednesday night for dinner. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of selections. I ordered wonton soup as an appetizer, shrimp with lobster sauce as my entree, and a banana daiquiri.
The Good: The food was fresh with generous portions. They used extra jumbo shrimp in the entree (16/20 per pound) and plenty of them. The pork used in the sauce were strips rather than ground pork, makes a huge difference in taste! The wonton soup was standard but good and finally the banana daiquiri was freshly made and not from a mix. I would rate the food as an 8 out of 10.
The Bad: An excessive wait for the entree. It was an hour between service for the soup and the main entree. My drink came about 15 minutes before the main entree. It wasn't busy at all, but probably 3-4 tables occupied out of probably 15 tables total.
The Ugly: After about 30 minutes there, I wanted to find our server to ask about the entree's, and she was nowhere to be found. I went to find her and she was sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender (who I think is the manager/owner). She came over and I asked if the food was going to be much longer and she said that she would check. 10 minutes later she came back and said that they were cleaning the kitchen. 15 more minutes later, the food finally came. No issues, the food was good, but had to wait another 15 minutes after finishing to get the check... again, she was at the bar chatting with the bartender.
Bottom line: I'm not sure if the service is always so poor, the server was new, or just bad luck, but I got the sense that there was no sense of urgency of the staff to ensure the customers were taken care of in a timely manner. Regardless, the unacceptable long time spent at the restaurant and feeling that I wasn't important as a customer to them means that I won't be going back anytime soon. If you do try it, I would highly recommend calling ahead for take-out.
