14 Mouth-Numbing Sichuan Restaurants in NYC | Eater NY

"Open since 1985, Szechuan House is the oldest restaurant serving the fiery cuisine in Flushing. Though its menu has been modernized, it still concentrates on the classics. Recommended are clear noodles in spicy meat sauce (sometimes known as “ants on a log”), tea-smoked duck, and sliced beef and tendon. There’s also seafood galore, including the hottest thing on the menu: “slice fish with peppercorn.” The most unusual we’ve encountered? Wasabi arctic surf clams, sounding like the adversaries in a Ninja Turtles movie." - Robert Sietsema

A longtime Baltimore-area favorite that returned to new digs, drawing nostalgic fans back for homestyle stir-fries and Sichuan standards. Its reopening was reported by Baltimore Fishbowl; current hours and menus are widely listed.

Yesterday was our second time dining there. The service is over the top, friendly and professional. The restaurant appears clean. The men's bathroom needed attention. The food was only okay this time. The restaurant wasn't crowded, however it took a long time to get our appetizers. And they held up the meal order pending the appetizers. Although the appetizers took a long time, after we asked that they put the meal order in, it came out in a timely fashion. The main reason for this review is not because of the food or the service, it is because we found it very odd that there was a dining table full of fresh green beans. They were not in a prep area of the restaurant. They were in the main dining room. This may or may not be a health code violation. But having uncooked food in a main dining room where guests eat is not only unsightly but potentially exposes the food to germs of the guests. I may be overreacting but we dine out a lot and have never seen anything like that before.

This is my FAVORITE Szechuan Chinese food restaurant in the Baltimore area. My favorite dishes are the combination chow fun and curry chicken. Delicious food with a reasonable price and great portions.

Google
Similar to other comments, I feel like the reviews from when this place first reopened are weighing the overall rating down. I didn’t like it much back then either, but recently I think it’s gotten a lot better. The prices are very reasonable for decent Chinese food and sushi, and most of the dishes I’ve tried from the menu have been enjoyable.

The food was so spicy my Thai wife became sick. No warnings on the menu that it was extremely spicy. We ordered delivery. Took one bite to make her ill. Every item was so spicy it was inedible. She eats super spicy food. This was too spicy for a Thai!

Recently a friend invited me to check out this restaurant. If you enjoy authentic Chinese food, this is not the place for you. The service here is amazing and the portion sizes are pretty large. We tried a variety of different items. The only one I would recommend is the snow pea leaf and garlic. Although the restaurant and staff are amazing, I did not enjoy the food. This seems to be a place to go if you want a quick and cheap meal.

Google
I have eaten at this restaurant, (former location), since 2000. It was absolutely my favorite Asian Chinese restaurant because of the wide array of authentic Chinese cuisine and its dedicated staff, who always worked above, and beyond. When they closed, and not due to their fault, (leasing), I was absolutely devastated because of the years of eating here at least once/twice a month. I’m so happy they found a new location and the food is just as excellent. I recommend this treasure of a restaurant to everyone…you won’t be disappointed!!! Congratulations my friends.

Google
My wife and I stopped in for dinner last week. We’ve been meaning to go since it opened, but we wanted to wait until they were up and running smoothly. The moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly smiles and were seated immediately. Before we could even get our coats off, they were giving us water, hot tea, wontons, ect. The service was AMAZING, and the food was great. There are definitely a lot of Americanized dishes, but they also have a “country side” menu with more authentic offerings. We weren’t super hungry, so we ordered the walnut shrimp, and a Thai curry fried rice. Definitely looking forward to trying out more of the menu on the next visit.

Google
1st time since opening in the new spot. Not bad. I think almost all the negative reviews are from early on. Maybe, there is a way they can be removed since over the last 6 months this place is probably averaging 4-4.5 stars much higher than when they first opened. Food was ok. I can't say great, but overall decent. I will say the house-made chips are so good! I will try again for dinner and see if any better.

Yelp
Staff member Elaine verified the 3 items ordered were in the bag, that was ordered, paid for and on the ticket. They were not, an egg roll was missing and I am to be credited an egg roll for next time. W. S. Boyer, wsboyer@comcast.net She indicated a e-credit was not possible.

Yelp
The "old" Szechuan House is back! So wonderful to have a go-to Chinese restaurant again.

Yelp
Trash! Just... trash. I've ordered from here twice, just to make sure this place sucked before I wrote my review. Let's start off with customer service, it's pretty bad. And th staff here isn't very friendly. During my second trip here, I was ignored when picking up my food. After telling one of the waiters that I was here for pickup, she just walks away and I literally just walked behind the counter to get the food myself. RIDICULOUS. The ambiance here is not all that spectacular either. Not that I expected much in this department. Everything I have ordered from here has been below average at best. Egg roles... bland. The "Thai Rice" was just yellow rice with pineapples and cherries thrown in the mix. And for the price, there are much better options in this area. I miss when Jason's Deli was here instead of this garb place.

Yelp
Good was fresh delivered I a timely reason service from Shu was outstanding thank you for being so pleasant we are definitely coming bk

Yelp
Having lived in China for a semester, I have a hard time finding a Chinese restaurant I truly enjoy. Most Chinese places here use a lot of corn starch to thicken food, sugar and oil to make the taste more "pleasing" to the American palate. This place is not the exception; they use all of these things. However, also being used to the American standard, I found that the food was generally okay. I actually enjoyed the chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce (even though it did not look appetizing at all, as it has a slimy look). The general Tso's chicken was very good. The service was a bit delayed on a Thursday night, but it was okay. Lastly, the place is very confusing; with lamp fixtures and decorations of different style, there is no real identity to this restaurant. Lastly, the place wasn't super clean. Lots of trash under booths, and booths that took a while to clean.

Yelp
This place boasts to have authentic Chinese cuisine, so of course we took the trek to Timonium to check it out. The server was very nice and also very apologetic. 2 of the cups on the table had lipstick stains. The silverware had crusted food on it. My glass of water had a bug in it. Already a few red flags, but we decided to stay after getting new and cleaner place settings. My mom was really excited to try the "Pata Tim" which is a Filipino dish of braised pig's feet. It was clear that the meat had been frozen for a long time and they reheat it on the off-chance that someone orders it. The snow pea leaves in garlic and the scallion pancakes were the only things we enjoyed. I can't imagine these dishes to be hard to prepare. Maybe the American Chinese food is better, but we didn't order any of those dishes. Maybe the chef doesn't cook the "Chinese" dishes as often so was at a loss as to how to prepare them. Who knows.

Yelp
i should have ran when i noticed the filthy water glass, but the sticky spoon brought with the soup should been an alarm. the food is bland and tasteless, and served only luke warm. My pork dish was dripping in oil , far beyond what is needed to stir fry,. Egg foo Young is loaded with onion as filler. the hot and sour soup was neither. PASS-

Yelp
This place is excellent! Ample menu, even including sushi options. But I went there for Chinese food and left pleasantly surprised. A must stop for me going forward. The ambiance is inviting, big ample place to est in. Many servers and other staff with friendly professional and quick service. Plates and flavors were fantastic. Great portions, almost family style plates for dinner, and it seems that for lunch are personal servings. Easy plaza parking and good location as well.

Yelp
This is a re-visit. We had tried their food soon after they moved to this location. It was always so good, and we had high hopes it would continue and not miss a beat. It was just too new and lacked structure with the staff and kitchen. So here we are now, and we're anxious to try our favorites. The service was on the spot with everything and doing a great job! We love the fact that they give you free hot tea and the crisp fried wonton chips, such a delight. It is so easy to fill up on them before you get your meal. My husband ordered his usual, shrimp lomein, but now they have a twist to it, Chinese bacon, which is sweet and salty, and it complemented the dish very well. I ordered the Triple delight, which had shrimp, chicken, and beef in a brown sauce with white rice. Initially, it looked good, but as soon as I spooned it over the rice, I saw a scant amount of sauce, and it congealed to a paste like texture, so there was no way to flavor the rice. What a letdown. We had soups, too. The seafood soup has a creamy mushroom base with mushroom slices, shrimp, crab meat, and a piece of lobster tail. The Wonton soup was a chicken base and had 2 wontons. The fried wontons were filled with cream cheese and crab meat. We really did not see much crab meat in them or taste it either, none the less, they were good. Most likely, we'll be back sometime when in the area. Generally, it has improved from the first visit.

Diane S.

Yelp
My first carry out order from here. All food was very good: Chicken and Mixed Vegetables, crab cheese wontons, shrimp toast, egg rolls, and chicken chow mein. Nice portions and great prices compared to what we've gotten elsewhere. Will definitely be calling on them again.

Yelp
Szechuan House used to be located in another spot. I think they closed for a period of time and have since reopened at this location in the Timonium Square shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking as this is a large shopping plaza with many restaurants and other retailers. Szechuan House is a local restaurant. Staff are personable and they greet guests swiftly. We were dining with friends who eat here often. The staff always remember their order too! Before the meal is served, they bring plates of crispy wonton chips and dipping sauce, as well as complimentary tea. We ordered shrimp fried rice and vegetable tempura. The plate presentation of the tempura is so cute. Almost like a tower as opposed to just placing the pieces haphazardly on the plate. At most Asian restaurants in Maryland, fried rice almost always includes bean sprouts. I am not a fan. I forgot to request they be omitted and guess what, the fried rice here is served without bean sprouts anyway! Yay! The entrée is amply sized to share and has large pieces of shrimp, with scrambled egg, peas and carrots. Simply delicious! We would return!

Yelp
Good food and service at a moderate price . Not as elegant as it was at the Seminary Road location but still pretty good . Now located in the Fairgrounds Shopping Center

Yelp
Quality has gone downhill in last several months. Taste and texture not as good and I've moved this location down in rankings

Yelp
Am in shock. Was.a loyal patron of the old restaurant for over 20 years. Since they no longer delivery directly, my husband went to pick up. AWFUL. Shrimp chow mein had 3 shrimp in the entire order. Egg rolls were soggy and unappetizing. Szechuan crispy chicken had no carrots or celery or sauce just dry pieces of chicken an 5 hot peppers . Sashimi was just okay. Will not be ordering from here again.

Yelp
My daughter has a birthday today and I wanted to take her to lunch at a place of her choosing. After working a case, it looked her main destination wouldn't work out, so she settled on SH. We both had sushi on our minds as it's the only stuff she can enjoy at SH due to allergies. The interior is slowing evolving from the identity of a former tenant. Between us we ordered about eight rolls. Most cooked and some raw and all priced within range. Presentation and food second to none, imho. Sushi chef came by to make sure we liked his creation. We not only liked it, we loved it. He was wearing a "SUSHI KING" T-shirt. Between Chinese, Thai and Sushi, Szechuan House has emerged as sort of a one stop shop for Asian Cuisine at excellent prices. Good thing, especially these days.

Yelp
Not sure what the negative reviews are about. This was my first visit to this establishment and can't say enough good things. Came here on Easter Sunday with a party of six. We were able to share 4 dishes amongst the 6 of us (to be fair, we're all small asian women) and still took home leftovers. We ordered the happy family dish, shrimp lo mein, sweet sour chicken, and snow pea tips. They were all great - but nothing spectacular, just decent for Chinese food, the snow pea tips were my fave though. Really flavorful, you can really taste the garlic but it wasn't overpowering. The staff and service were all super friendly and accommodating! We were seated immediately with drinks and crackers served shortly after. We even brought a cake, as we were celebrating a birthday, they were nice enough to give us more plates and forks for serving. As far as the atmosphere, it's pretty open and nothing too fancy. There is one random tv on the wall. Otherwise I love the big windows, makes the restaurant feel brighter and bigger. Would come again, as my mom is a crazy picky eater and this place has quickly made it on her short list of places she'd eat at in the Baltimore County area.

Yelp
Decided to stop by for dinner after seeing it packed for lunch a few weeks ago. The restaurant was spacious but very drafty and chilly, so we dined with our coats on most of the time. The free wonton noodles and hot tea were good, I just wished the tea was actually hot. It was barely warm. The food was really good - tasty, fresh, not oily and plentiful. The dinner portion (quart) was very large and could be shared between two people. My sister had a shrimp egg roll, which she said was fresh and tasty too. The wonton soup was perfect (I wish it had more than 2 wontons though). I'll definitely be back for carry out or dine in. The prices were excellent! With 2 soups, 2 meals and an egg roll we ate for under $35 and each had a to-go box!

Yelp
I was recommended this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try for lunch. The outside doesn't really match the inside in my opinion. When I approached the building and saw the signage, I expected a stylish interior, but as I walked in I was thrown off. You might be familiar with the storefront Chinese restaurants, where you order to take out, cause their is no seating or maybe one or two tables. Well, super size it and you get the Szechuan House. You walk in and are welcomed by a counter where you can order to take out (without the thick plastic windows) or let them know you want to dine in and you are being escorted to one of the many tables or booths. They have a lunch menu you can pick from and it will cost you less than $10. I ordered the Szechuan Shrimp with fried rice. Shortly after I ordered the dish was brought with a bowl steamed rice. The fried rice was at no additional cost so I didn't make a big deal out of it. I had my share of wrong orders this week already, so I decided to eat what was served. Just as at home when I was a little wipper snapper. I liked my order and the portion was just right for lunch. The shrimp had a good flavor and were spicy but not too spicy, perfect with the steamed rice. This is a great spot for lunch for sure, and you can't beat the price. A Latte might cost you almost the same. Friendly service!

Yelp
Had to finally try the place that used to be housed where Kung Fu Szechuan 12 now exists. This location is down the road in a fancy shopping center. The TV's all had aquarium videos running and the background music sounded like one would be at an aquarium, lol. The service here is really good, but I've had a lot of traditionally-prepared Szechuan food across the US east coast and this sadly is nothing close to traditional. It all definitely falls under ACF (American Chinese Food). I actually thought their rendition of Chongqing Chicken (Crispy Szechuan Chicken) was good. It runs a lot sweeter than anywhere else I've been. Otherwise, everything else was disappointingly bland and not mala. They do provide free fried wonton's. That was a nice touch I hadn't seen done in a long time, but that's an ACF thing. I tried to the following, some there, and some togo. I can only recommend the crispy szechuan chicken. Please note that the Szechuan Aromatic Chicken, which I got to go, was identical. Separate line items on the menu, but the same and made no sense to me. -Cold Noodles Sesame Sauce -Crispy Szechuan Chicken -Double Cooked Pork -Mo Po Tofu w Pork -Szechuan Aromatic Chicken (was identical to the crispy szechuan chicken) Sadly, I'd say just stick with KF12 if you're looking for authentic Szechuan. This place seems to do ACF really well if that's what you're looking for.

Yelp
I ordered pickup. - Fried dumpling (1/5): They were very large, but the flavor was lacking and the dough was too thick. Only at 1.5 or 6 pieces. - Steamed shumai (2.5/5): Flavor was ok, but the texture was off. Way too mushy. Didn't even finish half of my order. - Dynamite roll (0/5): Yuck. Mushy. Bland. Drenched with strange sauce. Only ate one piece before calling it quits. - Spicy tuna roll (3/5): Pretty hard to mess up a spicy tuna roll. My biggest complaint was that it wasn't flavorful enough. Could've used more Sriracha maybe. The staff was friendly when I picked up my order, so there's that.

Yelp
The snow pea tips were delicious. We also got the Hong Kong style fried noodles. We have been going here for years and it's good to see them in their new space.

Yelp
Cute lunch spot! Inexpensive if you're coming for lunch, but dinner prices seem to increase quite a bit. Very quiet ambiance but still casual. Service was quick and everyone was sweet and efficient. They serve complimentary tea with a wonton crisp and dip style appetizer before ordering. All the food was delicious.
google avatar

Kisha W.

Yelp
If you're looking for made to order deliciousness please make your way here. Everyone is so pleasant and will help you order if need be. I've never been and it not been empty, always a full house. Not a party to big or too small they can't handle, we had my fiancé's bday there (party of 15) and it was not a hick up. Never had a dish we didn't like. We go at lease once or twice a week lol
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
The food was just okay. However, the service was abysmal. This place isn't what it used to be at the old location.
google avatar

Jane G.

Yelp
Each to Each time we visit the interior and service have improved. It really looks great and well staffed. Excellent food - hand made won-tons a hit, fresh hand made dumplings, lovely grilled flavors in fried rice. Great lunch. Thanks, Jean and Robert- looking great

Lori K.

Yelp
They wouldn't turn off fox "news" or change it to a different channel. I don't want to be subjected to trump's face or voice when I'm trying to eat, and that's what was on. No thanks. Bye.
google avatar

Gloria N.

Yelp
Tried 2 new dishes, a beef radish dish and a chicken chow fen dish. Both were not that good and temperature wise, not very hot either. I think I will continue sticking with the 2 usual dishes of the crispy Szechuan chicken and shredded pork w yuba. Anything beyond that is a toss up on whether it's good or not.

Yelp
Szechuan House offers a menu full of rich flavors and unique offerings. Their quality and service is exceptional. I'm always impressed by the stand-out choices on their authentic menu, consistently served by an attentive staff.

Jim L.

Yelp
Great service, food! The authentic Chinese menu is excellent. This restaurant is a favorite of Asian American.

Yelp
Great food, generous servings. friendly service. We have tried all the comparable restaurants in the area; we keep coming back here!

Yelp
Large airy and well ventilated space. Lots of space between the tables. Good friendly service. The food was average, nothing to rave about.

Yelp
My fiancé and I came here tonight for the first time and will definitely be back! The ambiance isn't anything special but the food was amazing. We arrived right before 5 and were seated immediately. We were given the complimentary tea and wonton chips with the 2 dipping sauces. We ordered the fried crab wontons & cold noodles with sesame sauce as appetizers. The wontons were delicious. I didn't care for the noodles but my fiancé liked them. We both got an egg roll and soup with our entrees (I got wonton soup and he got hot & sour soup), the soup and egg rolls were great. I ordered the triple treasures a my entree which is chicken, scallops, and shrimp in a garlic sauce. He ordered the dragon & Phoenix which is lobster and chicken. We were both so full by the time our entrees came but both entrees were wonderful. We were expecting our bill to be a lot higher and we're pleasantly surprised. We're already talking about what we'll order next time.
google avatar

Yelp
I like them. They know my face now lol. I like them and their food. One day, I'll sit in there for lunch. They very nice and service is quick.

Yelp
The food came out cold, it seemed like the seafood wasn't fresh it had a strong odor. The taste was quite salty for me

Leonard Y.

Yelp
It was our go to place in Walnut Creek. Ordered the seafood soup a few weeks ago and it was amazing. Loaded with seafood among plenty of other ingredients in a tasty piping hot broth. Came in tonight and hoping to get the same dish. It was very busy there since it was a cold night. When we received our seafood soup, it wasn't even close to what we had before. It was a lightly flavored broth with a few sliced water chestnuts, 6 tiny bits of calamari and mostly egg drops. I told our server that they gave us egg drop soup by mistake. She said that it was definitely seafood soup. Being busy on a cold nite, I understand that lots of soup has been ordered but if they're low on seafood, just tell us. Consumed half a rice bowl worth, paid the bill and left. Was a loyal customer since they opened. Not coming back.

Marie D.

Yelp
We were watching the Raven game and decided to order from Szechuan House. We went to the original restaurant at Seminary and York for a long time. We have enjoyed eating at the new restaurant in Timonium. The delivery guy was super and the food was delicious, as always. Can't say enough about the staff and service. We recommend you try this restaurant and hopefully, you will enjoy it as much as we do. Marie D.

Debra H.

Yelp
Everything I try here is delicious and fresh. My favorite is Triple Delight. The service is always great. Love the ambiance with soothing music and aquariums on the TV's

Jim M.

Yelp
Top notch service, and great food. I am here with my son today, but I'm looking forward to bringing my wife back.

Brian F.

Yelp
Convenient location with ample parking . Food just average with a quite large menu. Service is not good
google avatar

Jonathan P.

Yelp
Love the service and the food. Excellent value. What I do really like is the take out. I do order from Grub Hub and as such, being a member they have smaller sized portions that we can split. Since there are no fees it makes it worth it. Got some Sesame Chicken, Egg rolls and Crab Rangoon. All hot and fresh. I can say not many of the Chinese food places in the area get it right and have the quality then SH has to offer. When we eat in we have a great time and love the owners and the servers.

Yelp
Hubby & I regularly ordered take-out at Szechuan House's old location. Ordered once during first chaotic weeks when they reopened. Then today we walked in their beautiful place with hanging flowers, clean, well appointed ambiance and friendly efficient staff. Ordered a lot of our favorites for the weekend - Very Spicy Kung Pao Tofu, Crispy Eggplant, Veggie Egg Foo Yung, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Combination Lo Mein & Egg Rolls. Wow! So far everything is so delish! Best egg rolls I've had in 20 years. They were fresh tasting & crispy. The Moo Goo Gai Pan & Lo Mein are outstanding. My spicy Kung Pao is delicious, but not spicy enough for my liking. No problem. Sriracha sauce took care of that. Next time I'll get them to bump up the heat. Yes, there will be a next time. There will be many next times to come. Thank you, Szechuan House! We are so happy that you're back! Glad you still have the peanuts too.

Yelp
We were so looking forward to trying this new version of Szechuan House. We waited to go to this restaurant as they had only opened in December and were hoping that all the kinks would be ironed out. The restaurant is just a mess. You enter and there is no hostess stand or anyone to greet you. We had to walk to the back to the counter where there was a line of people waiting. When my husband asked, they were waiting for carry-out. The layout of the restaurant is so strange - they had two tables that could seat 8 to 10, mostly booths for 2 or 4 and at best maybe 4 tables that could seat 6. We have a group of six of us that get together monthly for dinner and the person planning the March dinner picked the Szechuan House. She made a reservation for 6 people for 6:30 PM in late February for March 25, 2023. She confirmed it with the restaurant twice after making the reservation - even calling the day before. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at 6:20 PM to be initially told by the hostess that our party was there when actually they were not, and then were told that they had no tables available for 6 and that we would have to wait at least a half hour or more. The hostess' attitude was that they do not care about customer service or even being polite. While waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, the hostess tried to offer us a booth by the front door with what appeared to be a card table next to it, which we declined. When the person who made the reservation arrived, the hostess would not even talk to her. Needless to say, we left. We went to Kung Fu 12, where the food and service were exceptional. None of us will ever come back to this restaurant. What is the point of making a reservation if they are not going to honor it and then treat you poorly when you question why they did not honor the reservation? Eat somewhere else.

Samantha A.

Yelp
Food was flavorless . General tso chicken was soft. Food was barely cooked. Drinks were watered down.
google avatar

Tom T.

Yelp
I really have no complaints about the food except I always liked that they had a brown rice option. Apparently at least for lunch, they don't offer it. My garlic chicken was spicy and tasty and my Hot and Sour Soup was perfect My friend enjoyed her Happy Meal and Miso soup. The waitress was fine, but when you enter the place someone screamed from me from in the back and pointed to a booth. The place has no ambiance. They have not painted the walls and many of the tables are stacked with supplies. It is not a very warm and inviting place. But the luncheon is a great price and the food is good

Yelp
Tried this restaurant for the first time. Service was fairly quick given that they were very busy from a seating service perspective. Got food to go. Got the 1/2 Peking duck with pancakes along with bitter melon pork. I was full after the Peking duck so didn't get a chance to eat bitter melon the same night. I would recommend eating that at the restaurant to ensure freshness the texture of the melon to be right since you won't need to microwave. Since I ate it the next day, it was not as good texturally as I anticipated. The Peking duck I would absolutely have again. It was very good with crispy skin which is essential to Peking duck dish. Ordered the crab Rangoon but they were sold out. Will eat here again.

Yelp
This is the original Szechuan House from York and Seminary now moved up York Rd to across from the Timonium Stae Fair. Same owner Robert Wang, same cooking crew, many more seats. It's now really good, took awhile to adjust to cross-language electronic ordering system, crowded Friday and Saturday night, pleasantly not crowded other times.

Yelp
We went for dinner last night. After we ordered, I saw a small mouse run across the aisle. I notified the waitress and she told me she'd tell her boss. He never came. After we ate, we paid the bill. She even came back to ask about a tip and said she'd tell her boss when I said no. He still didn't come over.

If you're considering dining here may I suggest waiting another 6 weeks or so. Three of us dined here this evening and we weren't quite sure what to expect. Reservations were useless although we did get seated within 15 mins of our reservation time. They're grossly understaffed and the servers should be on roller skates as they do a good job of dashing around trying to make customers happy. One thing that is confusing is the way carry out is handled along with customers dining in. There needs to be separate locations for checking in. The food was simply mediocre. Not bad, not great. If customers are expecting anything resembling the old location perhaps they should wait a month or two. I'm definitely going back in the spring!

Yelp
First time dining in the new location. The food was delicious as always but the ambiance is lacking. We dined for dinner on a Friday and the place was filled when we left. We had hot sour soup, steamed dumplings and egg roll for appetizers. Dumpling dough was too thick for my liking but flavor was perfect. Entrees were jalapeño beef and shrimp and string beans. Beef was melt in your mouth tender and flavorful. String beans were the star for me.
