Really enjoyed the food at Szechuan Story! While the name suggests a focus on Sichuan cuisine, their menu actually features a mix of dishes from different Chinese regions, including Cantonese and Sichuan, which makes the experience even more interesting. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was crispy and flavorful, the Cumin Lamb was well-seasoned, and the Sweet & Pungent Pork Ribs with Taro had a unique and delicious sweet-sour balance. The restaurant space is a bit small, and it can get crowded on weekends, so if you’re planning to dine in, it’s best to come early or call ahead. For takeout, I recommend ordering online in advance and waiting a bit before picking up, as dishes are freshly made and may take time. Overall, a great spot for authentic, flavorful Chinese food with regional variety!

Really great place here. The service is very on top of it. We went on July 4th and asked the server for suggestions. They gave us some American and more authentic options as popular dishes which we appreciated. The crab rangoons are delicious. I got crispy tofu with sweet and sour sauce. My fiancé got the authentic chongqing spicy chicken. Very big portions!

OHHHHH MAN! This place! I'm telling you, you gotta go. When I walked in, the aroma, the WONDERFUL smell of spices and cooking... it hit me, and I knew I was in for a treat. The menu is a monster! So many options, it was almost overwhelming in the best way possible. But I finally made my choice, and when the food came out... WHOA! The portion size, it was generous, truly generous. You see that and you know the people behind the food, they care about you getting a full meal. And the taste? Mmm, OH YES! Every bite, full of flavor. The texture, the spice, everything was just... PERFECT. And the people who work here, they are so friendly, so kind. They were excellent from start to finish. I'm already thinking about what I'm going to order next time. This is a place you don't just eat at once. It's a place you come back to, again and again.

Had a great time here. Menu is a little difficult to read but if you know what you’re looking for it wouldn’t be hard to find it. Staff is great and will help you if you’re looking for something. Great flavors, especially with the crispy beef. Beautiful balance of flavor between spicy, numbing, and sweet.

Stumbling upon this restaurant during our road trip to Texas was a delightful surprise. The service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. We savored the shrimp dumplings in chili oil and the salt and pepper chicken, both bursting with flavor. Though we didn’t have time to explore more of the menu, everything looked incredibly appetizing. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Oklahoma to try more dishes.

This is by far my favorite authentic Chinese restaurant in OKC. I eat here way too often! >.< dumping a ton of photos here to prove how many time I ate at this place! The food here is consistently delicious, and they got a variety of dishes to choose from, gotta try them all! My personal favorite is the drunken pork ribs and sweet potato cakes and fried buns and steamed chicken with chili oil and sprouts with thousand year old egg cause I like thousand year old egg and chicken soup…. Actually I have a LOT of favorites here! The owner is super friendly too! And all the servers are very nice! Big recommendation!

Friendly and very popular. I had the Wontons in Chili Oil— the chili oil was soy-sauce heavy but wontons were delicious otherwise. The eggroll was crispy, and served hot, and the Crabmeat Soup which is large enough to share: think egg drop with crab flavor. It was great with added chili oil condiment at the table. “Souper” for the really cold evening.
