Not a bad little hole in the wall. I was not impressed by the buffet. A few decently prepared items. It's viable but not remarkable. I suggest you avoid the unpeeled creamy shrimp dish. It's revolting. Everything else is at least decent. Service is fine. Stingy with drink refills. It's cheap and plentiful.

July 2025 UPDATE: Still a great place for lunch. Price went up to $10.99 for lunch buffet, but choices are great. See photos. Good buffet! It’s small and simple but food is really good. They are constantly freshening up the offerings. Great lunch buffet and a good price!

Google
The food is always good every time I’ve been and they even brought out a special spicy breaded chicken for us not even in the buffet. Service is A+ With the price per person it’s a great value too.

Google
The price of buffet is only $9.9 which is of great value considering the freshly prepared tasty food. They keep on refilling the food. I loved their shrimp n kung pao chicken!! They even have fruit, cakes n jello for desserts!!

Google
Weeknight takeout order of beef with vegetables and chicken with snowpeas. The food was prepared quickly and (at home) really tasty. However, although there was a bowl of fortune cookies next to the register, when we open the bag, we had not been given any. Hardly a major issue, but I have no idea what fate awaits me now. Maybe I'd have been given one that says "You and a bus will meet tomorrow, and you will lose." I'll have to find out the hard way. Interior is nothing fancy, but the food is worth a try.

For quick, easy, fast-casual Chinese food, Szechwan is a good choice. I tried their Orange Chicken lunch special, which came with fried rice and an egg roll for $8.20. I got mine to go, but they also offer a lunch buffet for $8.49 Mon-Fri from 11am-3pm and Saturday 12pm-3pm. The buffet has 10 options, then a fruit and jello station. The to go portions were definitely enough for me. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, as I’ve been disappointed by other Chinese restaurant choices in the area recently. I enjoyed the fried rice and orange chicken, and there was enough sauce to spoon into the rice, which I love to do. I’d definitely go back for a to go lunch, and the prices are great.

Google
This Chinese restaurant was awesome. We’ve been looking for a chinese buffet since all the other ones have closed down, and we found you guys. The buffet may be small, but it still has all of the essential foods. Cheap prices, and they still give an amazing experience.

Google
I asked the cashier what her favorite dish was, she recommended the orange chicken. I only waited 10 minutes for a made to order dish, that was the best orange chicken I’ve ever had. I will 100% be coming back great food and service. Dining room was immaculately clean and quiet. All around great Chinese food experience

Yelp
This chinese restaurant probably won't win any awards, but if you're "hangry" for chinese food, it will do. This restaurant is located about 3 blocks north of the I-40 and Juan Tabo exit in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The lunch buffet was $10.99. It offered egg drop soup, black pepper chicken, kung pao chicken, broccoli & beef, general's chicken, candied shrimp, fried rice, and a couple other things. I don't know if the options change, because i've only eaten here once. Minus one star for only having friend rice at the lunch buffet, no white rice.

Yelp
From the time I walked in to the time I walked out it was just really great as greeted and I've told goodbye the food was great the service was great it was just super

Yelp
I went for the buffet, yet it was very skimpy. No fried rice for one, that disappointed me, for that is one dish I enjoy when having Chinese Food, especially in a buffet setting.

Darrel W.

Yelp
Smallest Chinese buffet i have ever seen. Limited choices. Inexpensive at 10.97, and it was very busy on a Saturday for lunch. Small place overall.
google avatar

Jo L.

Yelp
Nice selection for buffet. Food as fresh and filling. Staff was very attentive and helpful.

Yelp
All I get is sweet and sour chicken, but the lo mein is chefs kiss. Chicken comes with a bucket the classic sweet and sour sauce and deep fried chicken. They get that dish made to go quick. Restaurant interior is kinda plain at a glance, but I haven't eaten there. Need I say more. Decent place

Yelp
For quick, easy, fast-casual Chinese food, Szechwan is a good choice. I tried their Orange Chicken lunch special (L24), which came with fried rice and an egg roll for $8.20. Yelp
Usually the spicy food in a buffet got no kick. Not true here. It's spicy enough to have kick but not so hot there's no flavor. Staff very polite. I didn't realize how early they closed yet they never rushed me to finish. Buffet.sy be small but has all the flavor you want. AND MOST OF ALL ST A REASONABLE PRICE. As Arnold would say "I'll be back"

Yelp
$8.99 for a lunch buffet is not bad! Selection is not huge but adequate, and there is enough to fill you up! Two soups, fried rice. I didn't see steamed rice. Several entrees include a walnut shrimp. One pan of egg rolls. In the dessert are, there were cut up oranges, custard, a mousse (pink in color). Some food was slightly warm and others just brought out. Store seemed clean, and the staff were nice.

Yelp
This might be my new go-to for quick and cheap Chinese takeout. I went for lunch, craving inspired of course but also because this spot have good prices and very close to my house. I called in the sesame chicken lunch combo as I was wrapping up some errands. It took about 15 minutes for them to prepare the food, or at least that was the timeline I was given and it was ready when I arrived. The portions were really good for the price with an eggroll on the side. I think you get soup if you dine-in. They also offered a small lunch buffet that I saw when picking up my order. I'd probably skip the buffet and go for the lunch combos but to each their own. I was happy with my meal, definitely was enough for two portions. Fast, convenient, would go again for sure.

Yvette D.

Yelp
We came in for the buffet at 11:10 am, they open at 11:00 am. The food was like warm or cold. New food should be cooked that day and at least steaming. Come on. The buffet had like 12 items on it and it wasn't that great. If it was at least hot I would at least go back. I will never go back. My stomach hurt for hours after we left. I don't know if it was just me but I am just pick about having my food hot? I did see the worker check to see how the food was doing but never added any additional food or swapped out any pans. Thinking back to my visit, it did not even smell like anything was cooking in kitchen. Strange for a restaurant?

Yelp
I can not believe I found a restaurant that actually uses REAL CRAB intheir crab rangoon. And theey were huge! Delicious, what a treat! I ordered the lemon chicken and asked for some added broccoli. The chicken was perfect, not too heavily breaded, not too sticky sweet, not overloaded with lemon. You can tell this place uses quality ingredients.

Sara B.

Yelp
The food was so good and plentiful! I had forgotten how much I love this place! Everything was carefully packaged as well. I'll be ordering again soon.

Katharine S.

Yelp
Don't be put off by the unassuming storefront or interior decor. My experience was very positive: tasty food, freshly prepared, generous portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. I plan on returning!

Juniper B.

Yelp
This restaurant had good reviews online. I arrived at 2:45 PM. Their website says that lunchtime is 11:00 to 3:00, but the server told me the lunch buffet was closed. I ordered the Szechwan chicken. The taste was mostly sweet. There was no hot flavor and no Asian flavor. The only hot sauce served was Sriracha. The menu has commenting that all of the food is cooked to order. However, the extreme temperature of my dish definitely suggested that it had been microwaved. Next!

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night. I ordered the vegetables with tofu and my boyfriend ordered the noodles. My daughter got the egg drop soup. I thought the food was ok but the service was really bad. There were about three wait staff, but all were huddled in a booth looking at their phones. I waited forever to pay my bill and then I had to go to the front to actually pay it. They didn't even come to check on our table once and I had to ask for my own box after I had paid. There is better food With better service in Albuquerque. I won't be coming back.

Yelp
My son really enjoys this place because the cost of the food is low. Both of us enjoyed our food. It kind of bothered me how everybody in the kitchen is arguing. My son said it is that way every time he goes in. After being there, approximately fifteen minutes , the place became very busy, and all the tables filled up. Other than everything was good. The restrooms were also clean.

Yelp
This ABQ Saturday restaurant review is being posted a day late ... I fell asleep hard immediately after getting in the door! After leaving class to head to an appointment, we met up with two members of our Kung Fu family to enjoy each other's company and grab a bite of dinner. They recommended this place ;-) #szechuanchineserestaurant and we were in for a treat! It's your standard Chinese. I always test them with either general chicken (I always ask for very little spicy) or sweet and sour. The one with broccoli was general chicken. They did add very light spice ;-) and the flavor underneath was both tangy and sweet simultaneously, to which my friend @phoenix_rune93 and I both responded with #ohyum to both that and the orange chicken (which was equally delicious... and led to both of us spooning from both plates). Of course in my tradition and style I HAD to taste the Moo Shi... which was also an excellent choice! Overall great vibe, nice service and delicious! 5/5 #gourmetrecovery #dinnerwithfriends #kungfupandas

Yelp
The food is always on point. If you call an order in it's ready when you pick it up. Great service from a family run restaurant,
google avatar

Yelp
Service: we have always ordered online to be delivered from here so I can't really say anything about the services in the restaurant. Food: I have ordered food several times from here the last few months. Not only is it affordable, but it's good and the portions are appropriately sized. The cashew chicken is really good and the sesame chicken is also pretty good. These are the typical dishes we order from here and would totally order from here again.

Yelp
So I'm allergic to tons of things, and one of them usually precludes my ability to eat Chinese food, which is sad. (Soy specifically), but hubby and I went here because he was craving Chinese, and i figured I'd just drink hot tea and eat later. Only, to my surprise, there were meals I could have! They have diet/health meals that are steamed and have no sauce, oil, or sugar. Which meant I could have it! I used some of my own coconut aminos to flavor it, and it's been great both times now! I'm so happy to have found one place I can eat something too! (It's not on their Doordash menu, sadly, but they do have to go phone ordering for pickup)
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant was very good and the delivery arrived quickly and the food was still super hot. I was impressed with the orange chicken which was a good amount for two meals, good price, and didn't contain any other "fillers" cooked with it. The spring rolls were good, but the individually wrapped almond cookies were amazing! It is worth giving this restaurant a try.

Yelp
We don't get to the east side very often so while we are over here it's time to start looking for a new place to try. Quick check of the on line menu and lemon chicken is on the menu. Drove over, grabbed a seat and placed our order. Lemon chicken and Szechuan beef. The dinners came with soup & appetizers and are served family style. The white meat chicken came out lightly fried, tender, moist and covered in lemon sauce. The beef was well cooked and tender surrounded by plenty of veggies. Both dishes were very flavorful. Plenty extra for left overs. Good food, reasonable prices. We'll be back.

Yelp
Excellent buffet at a great price! Staff was courteous and very efficient. Definitely coming back often!

Yelp
The wait staff was attentive and the food was great. Stopped in for a quick bite and ordered a variety of appetizers. So tasty, hot, and fresh. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
First trying this place and it was great! Unfortunately I did not take pictures bc I ate all the food lol. The egg rolls were pretty good. Ok so the noodles I'm not sure what they are called but it was crispy and the orange chicken great size and amazing flavor.

Vinnie G.

Yelp
Sweet and sour meals didn't come with pineapple or green pepper or onions... no fortune cookies... Gave high praise to friends and spent 100 on take out. I am embarrassed with this take out Last time ill use them for take out.

Yelp
I was introduced to this restaurant several months ago by a friend. It is the only time I ate inside. Since we have order takeout three times. We were there for a lunch and service was quite good. As was the food. There crab Rangoon was the best I have had here in NM. I like to get the Chicken Cashew from their lunch menu. I love the containers when you do takeout. Especially the lunch menu. They are great to use for leftovers to take to work. We've had the chicken teriyaki, sesame chicken, chicken cashew, sweet & sour pork, pork fried rice, beef lo mein, egg rolls and crab Rangoon.

Yelp
Service's Was Good As You Get. Food Was Delicious. I Was A Little Disappointed With The Fried Wonton's It Is Usually Filling From Other Restaurant's That I've Been Too But In This Case It Was Just Like Chip, Overall It Was Still Good. Photo's Are Provided Of What Was Ordered HIGHLY RECOMMEND DEFINITELY WILL COME BACK

chieko a.

Yelp
I ordered delivery. The egg rolls were fine...they even provided fresh hot mustard as requested. The Mapo Tofu was totally bland even though I requested extra spicy. I had to doctor it with white pepper, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, nanami togarashi, salt, MSG, sansho (didn't have Sichuan peppercorns), black bean paste, ginger, and garlic. It kind of sucks when you order something and then have to almost completely remake it because of lack of flavor. The quality of the tofu and pork was fine...there just wasn't any flavor. Maybe with what's left, I'll add vinegar and some mushrooms and turn it into hot and sour soup!

M Brad P.

Yelp
Great lunch time buffet, several choices and all fresh and delicious! Went 1st time with a friend this week, and took my wife back two days later!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
The best Chinese food on the east side! The shrimp fried rice and the beef and broccoli are my favorites
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
We ate here this past weekend. They had mailed a menu out so we thought we would check it out. They apparently don't serve lunch specials for dine in since they have a lunch buffet, we aren't buffet people. Buffets gross me out with everyone touching things. I would have left but my son loves Asian food so we stayed. We got the crab rangoons, they were pretty good so I was holding out hope for the rest of our order. The lo mein was a horrible tasteless gummy mess and the orange chicken was a soggy tasteless mess. Also the woman working there who I assumed was the owner was one of the rudest people I have met!!! We won't be going back

David H.

Yelp
used to be delicious. the curry chicken was bland and tasteless and the general Tso's chicken was sweet and sour chicken not what we ordered. will not go back.
google avatar

Rok J.

Yelp
Generous portion of good food at very reasonable price. Friend & I dropped in for light dinner. A portly gentleman & his wife just coming out the front door recommended the place so we figured we'd give it a shot. We were quickly seated & the ordered pot of tea arrived pronto. We noted a massive plate of food headed past our table & thought it best to split an entree. We went with chicken teriyaki plate, with an extra hot & sour soup added on. Soup was thick & peppery, as is usual. Plate of teriyaki, rice, & veg arrived in decent time. And it was as big as the one we'd noted earlier. Plenty for both of us. Waitress was pleasant & professional. But there was the issue of trying to understand a very heavy accent that kind of got in the way of communication. Interior was a bit dark (not necessarily a bad thing) and the building is old & tired. But the food was good enough, generous enough portion, the waitress nice, and the price low for the amount of food.

Yelp
Great food just a mom and pop hole in the wall restaurant with food made when you order definitely going back!
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
I have literally been going to this restaurant since I was a very small child with my parents and grandmother. It was my grandma's favorite restaurant. Well my grandmother is long past and I am in my late 30s but this is still one of my favorite restaurants. It's nothing special as far as atmosphere but the Food is by far the highest quality and best tasting I've ever had there any Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend, if there was a possible way to do six stars I would. These people have become like family.
google avatar

Tanner R.

Yelp
There was a time I'd have given 5 stars, but it's seeming like they're quality is getting worse and worse. The only thing I truly loved here is the Sesame chicken. Kind of a bummer you have to add onion's and bell peppers though. It literally comes with sesame chicken and nothing else. Need some veggies in it to give it that extra flavor and texture. Unfortunately the last two times we have ordered it it just seems to be sub par. Did not care for other things we have tried here either including sweet and sour chicken and the walnut shrimp. Will probably try it one more time but i have definitely been disappointed over the last 4 months!
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
I should know- a lot can happen in a year, or in this case 10 months. I ordered takeout again, but this time it was sub par. The beef Szechuan has a weird metallic taste and it has a frozen too long texture. I'm highly disappointed. I will think twice before returning.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
The worst Chinese food I ever had will never go again Service was terrible and they don't even ask u if everything was ok when we left all our food in our plate
google avatar

John A.

Yelp
30 years of incredible consistency. This has been a family favorites since the early 90s. Siblings of mine who live in other cities would always make it a point to grab a bite here when they were in town.
google avatar

Katie J.

Yelp
Hidden gem. I've been looking for a Chinese food place that can serve up the usuals. I'm always afraid I will end up with overly oily and greasy dishes... not the case here. Sesame chicken, General Tao Chicken...potstickers. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. I wasn't disappointed by any of the items we ordered. I ordered for take-out to observe social distancing and my food was ready in 20 minutes. Ready and hot and delicious. We have become regular customers. They are our go-to.
google avatar

Liz W.

Yelp
I've eaten here for easily 10 years! I grew up eating here for special occasions with my whole family! I order to go whenever the craving hits and I just need some Chinese. I've always loved the hot and sour soup- it's my favorite and I've never had another like it. I love their fried wantons, pork fried rice, and king pao chicken!! Their lunch specials are great and come with soup and rice! Everyone has their favorite Chinese Restraunt and this is mine!
google avatar

Elder J.

Yelp
Hey guys this my go2 for Egg Foo Young. This one prepared in a succulent tasteful manner. The portions are generous and the price is right

Quick2 C.

Yelp
It's a decent Chinese Buffett that tasted fresh and used good ingredients. It's in a strip mall and the interior is pretty dated, drab and needs a deep clean. It's not really dirty, it's just a little worn. I'd go back for a quick lunch but wouldn't take my wife for a date night.
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
Came in on NYE and as expected, it was quite busy! I ordered family dinners which came with a lot of food! The fried rice is a 3/5, sorta tasteless. I had the szechwan beef and chicken 4/5, had a spicy sauce to it. Then I had sweet n sour pork which was SO GOOD!!! Overall generous helpings of all dishes and great price. They worked well under pressure but some customers became impatient over orders they had called in hours ago. Would come back!

Barb V.

Yelp
Lemon chicken and pork low mein were delicious and a good value. We ordered online and that worked well. I just wish their packaged hot mustard was a better tasting brand.
google avatar

Luke B.

Yelp
The special beef is just that - special! Lightly breaded and friend, great sauce over it, perfect crunch and chew, definitely recommend! Comes with rice as well, just wish there was veggies like bell peppers in there for some brightness to cut through the saltiness. But still very good!
google avatar

Paulina M.

Yelp
We got our Christmas dinner from here and it was AMAZING. I mean it when I say I have not had chinese this good in years. The Eggplant entree was amazing. The chicken dishes were delicious. Everything was a hit. Would definitely get takeout here again. The soup was also amazing! Hot and sour soup for the win. Best Hot and Sour soup I've had maybe ever!
