I’ve catered hundreds of weddings, and as a caterer, I love recommending great vendors when I find them. But this time was different — it was my wedding, and I finally got to just enjoy the day. Let me tell you, this was hands down the best damn wedding cake I’ve ever eaten in my life. It was absolutely beautiful, aesthetically stunning, and tasted even better than it looked. I can’t recommend T&5 Bakery enough!

Their birthday cakes are beautifully designed and taste just as good as they look—moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Perfect for any celebration! Beyond cakes, they also have a great selection of Chinese buns and dim sum. The pork buns are soft and flavorful, and their siu mai and har gow are surprisingly authentic for a bakery. Whether you're grabbing a quick snack or ordering a cake for a special occasion, this place won’t disappoint. Great taste, friendly service. Prices are on the higher side.

The food is all very good, fresh, and affordable! The staff is also very kind and the bakery is super clean.

We came to Yvon with an unusual and detailed request for my wife’s birthday cake — she wanted to combine elements from different sample cakes, had strict ingredient needs (since she wouldn’t be cutting it for a few days until her birthday), and the cake also needed to survive a 2-hour commute (we live far away from the bakery). Ordered from Uber Eats, closer to the end of night. They ran out of baked pork buns and called to see if a substitute was okay. I okayed a swap for soup dumplings. However, not only did they not do an appropriate swap (they swapped one order of six soup dumplings for $17 worth of pork buns), they were clearly out of other things and swapped in random stuff. More steamed buns were given instead of soup dumplings. Honestly if you're missing that much, just refund the order or close orders earlier. My basque cheesecake was substituted with DURIAN cheesecake. Like seriously? Durian is so unacceptable without a request for it. My Portuguese tarts were also subbed for another type of egg tart. Overall highly disappointed and I received maybe half my order. Go in person or don't order at all.

T & 5 Bakery Cafe is one of my favorite places. They provide a very friendly environment no matter what nationality you are – they always welcome everyone with a smile. Their prices are very reasonable. The drinks are always fresh and not too sweet, which I love. Their smoothies taste very authentic, just like Hong Kong style smoothies. The bakery items are very tasty, especially when they are fresh out of the oven. The employees there are super friendly and make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy good drinks, delicious bakery, and a warm atmosphere.

I finally stopped by to try their fruit cake and also picked the Pork Sung Cake. As expected, both cakes are super fluffy, creamy, and not very sweet. I savored every bite. The lady I spoke with is very nice. Clean place, and they sell fresh. You have to be here to experience the place and aroma.

Lots of drinks to choose from, we got the mango smoothie and molten mango, both very good. Also tried the shrimp dumping and a strawberry cheese bun, also both good! The pastries: cakes, cupcakes, macarons, etc all look great and sound delicious. We randomly found this place hanging out in Folsom and found they had a Sacramento location. We look forward to returning to try more on their menu, drinks and food.

Hubby and I were looking for a good boba spot and their menu looked amazing! He ordered a Brown Sugar Coconut Milk and I ordered a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Salted Cheese Foam. My hubby said his drink was yummy! First off their stir-fried boba is the best I've ever had! What a fantastic drink, 5/5 stars!! T & 5 Bakery opened in 2017, the "t" comes from owner Tong and the "5"comes from his wife's name, which means 5 in Chinese! This small business offers savory and sweet bakery items, cakes including custom, dim sum and house-made boba tea drinks. We'll definitely be returning to try some savory goods or dim sum! My friend and I picked up a cake here for his mom's birthday, and it was a hit. Not only was it beautifully decorated, it actually tasted as good as it looked. The texture was light, the sweetness was just right, and the flavors were super fresh. You can tell they put real care into their baking. The shop itself is clean and modern, with a nice display of pastries and desserts that made it hard to choose. Definitely coming back next time we need something special or just want a treat.

Came by just an hour after they opened and it looked like they were still putting things out. Came in to pick up some goodies for the family and one particular item wasn't out on the shelf yet but the lady in the counter asked someone in the back to make it while I waited. This place offers really good boba drinks too. Must try. Its located right across from 24 fitness. Parking is easy!

There is always some new and delicious cheesecake or mousse cup that I have to try. Service is always friendly in this neighborhood bakery. If you're ordering near the holidays, bring your patience with you, they can get a little busy. What have you tried and loved?

Stopped in to try the custard bun and the pineapple bun. Both were good, but the custard bun was the best. It's really nice and soft. It's a small little Bakery. There is some seating outside but just a table or two and although there appears to be seating inside, it is for Decoration only. Staff were friendly. There's plenty of parking.

Service is great as always. Ordered the cake a few days before Father's Day. They were quick with the order and the price was reasonable. Business is clean and tidy. Cake: 6in strawberries cake, it's moist and fresh. Cream isn't too sweet with is great. The cake presentation is fantastic. Definitely will order again.

I attended a friend's birthday party and she catered the birthday cake from this place. The cake was so delicious! I love it that it is not too creamy and not too sweet. The fruit cake was 14" and had fresh mango and strawberry on top. It was so good that I had to ask where she got the cake from. I will need to come to the store sometime and try other bakery goodies. The fruit cake is delicious!!!! You won't go wrong catering cake from this place.

I had the passion fruit tea and chicken bun. Loved the fruit tea- perfect amount of sweetness and more natural. Chicken bun very filling! Employees all were very kind and took care. very cute inside. Great selection on the menu

I love this bakery! Couldn't be happier that this is my local bakery only 20 minutes away. Although the l bakery is small, it is decorated so nicely and beautifully. Staff here is always super friendly and fast. All of their pastries are fresh and delicious. My favorite has got to be their Japanese cheesecake, which is so light and fluffy. I also ordered a custom birthday cake here for my birthday awhile ago and it was so beautiful and delicious. Definitely give this bakery a try if you're in the area.

This local bakery is so clutch! The cakes are beautiful and delicious. We bought a mango flavored cake for my family here and we were in and out in under 10min! Very relaxed atmosphere you order at the counter. They even have hot food bakery items that are really tasty. Luckily they had a cake in the back for us that was ready to go. Would definitely recommend this location. The people there are always super nice also.

Randomly stumbled inside while near by grabbing dumplings and wanted a little dessert. It was filled with all types of delicious looking pastries, cakes, desserts. There is only about one or two tables inside so it's definitely meant to grab and go. The individual pastries are very affordable and have a great price point for near everyone $2-4 and they all looked great. However, the cake prices are super high! Don't walk in thinking you're going to get a $30-40 cake.... More like $50 for a very small cake. I was surprised with the prices and ended up just grabbing several small pastries. Super fresh and soft without being excessively sweet.

This is a fascinating bakery. I walked out with half a dozen different items to try at home, and they were all delicious. Each one was a new experience for me. I expected the coconut cookie to be soft like a macaroon, it was crisp! I didn't try their french maccarons, but they looked traditional. The cream bun was a soft sweet lovely textured dough with a nice layer of pastry cream inside. Meanwhile I had chosen several savory items and enjoyed them all. The owner was most helpful, recommending which to toast, which to microwave, etc. They serve dim sum at the cafe, or sell it frozen to take home. I'll be back to try that, and the boba drinks, and the fresh fruit juices. Very eclectic mix, just means you will find something right for you.

I go there exclusively for their plain pineapple bun because it's the best I've had anywhere. It's the one without the paper, if you don't know, just ask. They have several variations, which include one with some type of filling, and another with actual pineapples. If that's your thing, do you. But it's the perfect amount of sweetness and softness. It's crave worthy, and I try to pick some up whenever I'm in the area. Because it's rare for me to make it here, I grab some for both my immediate family and extended family because they love it, too!

We've ordered from this bakery many times and always had a good experience. The cakes are always made beautifully, staff are friendly, and the cakes are ready on time. The cakes are a sponge-cake with less sugar but still a good amount of sweetness. Most of the fruit is fresh. Price is comparable to other bakeries who do high-end designs like theirs. We've also ordered the pastries and bakery items to-go. They weren't bad and they had a nice variety to choose from.

This bakery serves excellent bread and cakes! My family is satisfied with their bread and customized cake. I had a personalized fruit cake from them. The cake was super fresh and not overly sweet. It caters to our taste. Also, the baker lady was patient enough to explain the cake and told us to make sure to have 2 people when picking up the cake because one person was driving and one person was holding the cake. The plaza is big so no need worry about the parking.

On our way to pick up the best hainanese chicken rice ever and stopped by T5. They have new stuff! It's lemon bread, mango bread, and strawberry bread. We tried the lemon and mango ones. Both are good. But the real honest feedback will be when I ask my picky eater at home new item vs bbq bun, the answer is still bbq bun. We also got drink the first time. I noticed the drink menu was quite confusing. It didn't have a clean cut dairy vs non dairy list. It didn't have dairy substitution option even they have either soy or similar to add to coffee at extra charge (which I don't see until after as it was on the last panel). At the lady recommendation (awesome lady btw), I tried to go for fruit tea (for non-dairy). We picked the orange tea (and it still include passion fruit, was trying hard to avoid dairy and passion fruit). The mango drink was great. Overall like the drinks and new item but love the bbq bun more!

The cake there is beautiful. I got a little small cake for a friends birthday. It was delicious! I also got a few bake goods. It's a small location and not sure how the cake orders go but seems like they get pretty busy.

They did such a great job on our sons birthday cake. Everyone loved it and said it was delicious.

I came by late (around 5pm) it wasn't busy there was probably 3 other people . My sister wanted bakery so we stopped by (first time here) They didn't have many options but they did have everything stocked up with bakery , I got the almond croissant instead of the chocolate wasn't a fan.

Super cute bakery nestled in Elk Grove. There's a variety of selections from egg tarts, pineapple buns, to cream bread. They are made fresh daily and not dry. I also got a Hokkaido milk tea, which was made fresh. The employees are very nice and helpful. They were able to adjust my drink order last minute. Of note, the seating inside is not for customers. There are plenty of seats outside if you would like to enjoy your bread fresh.

This place is such a cute cafe to get a sweet treat. Great desserts and teas!! Lovely women work here as well.

Most people are not familiar with this Hong Kong bakery. Once you tried their freshly made cake for any event... you will definitely stop going to other bakery (do not compare their slice cake - they are not as fresh). Although they store is small and hidden; once inside you will find some amazing food and refreshments. Been ordering from T&5 since I found them accidentally while going to the 24HR Fitness @ Center Pkwy. I don't understand why people say Elk Grove have no Asian bakery when they haven't been here.

I've heard the cakes from here are great if you don't like them overly sweet. They make Japanese style cheesecake and other types of cakes. I got a chocolate mousse cake and the La vina cheesecake plus a drink. They also sell pastries like 85 degrees bakery. They have a lot of fake cakes to show what the cakes will look like. You can tell which cake is in stock if you see a price tag. I will be coming back to try more of their other pastries and cakes. Pros: it's nice they're open until 7 pm, enough time to get to them after work. I went an hour before they closed and parking wasn't an issue for a Friday evening. Love that the cheesecake and the chocolate mousse wasn't very sweet. These types of cakes are more to my tastes, you can actually taste the flavor. Cons: the cakes and drinks are on the pricier side. The drink was too sweet for me and they forgot to put the boba I ordered in.

The only cake shop in Elk Grove, so we keep coming back. Their fruit cake is just okay - nothing special, but gets the job done. Wish the flavors were more fresh and vibrant. Friendly service though."*

Came here to pick-up a last minute birthday cake and was able to call in my order about an hour or two before I actually picked it up. However, when I got to this location, I realized ordered from the wrong location! I told the employee that I accidentally ordered a cake at the Folsom location and had already paid for the cake. She was so helpful and told me to call the other location and she was able to confirm my order and just give me a cake from this location. She was so helpful and a lifesaver! Great place and will come back again.

I preordered a fruit cake at T&5 and it was super simple and easy process. They asked for your name, number, size of cake, when you will pick it up, and credit card information. They are on the pricier side where as of 6/10/2023 the cake prices are as follows: 6in = $43 8in = $53 10in = $83 12in = $105 14in = $155 They do have a variety of styles/customizations you could choose from. My cake took an extra 30 minutes from the pick up time so I'll take that into account the next time I purchase it. I also love their packaging and the place is small but cute. It has what you're looking for in terms of desserts. Their Portuguese egg tart has the traditional Hong Kong cookie crust with the creamy custard in the middle. For $2.45 for one or 6 for $13, they are worth the price. Their Folsom location also sells dimsum! You can preorder but calling on the phone for them to bring it to the Elk Grove location instead. The biggest con I have is just the price is quite expensive.

Stopped into T & 5 bakery on the recommendation of many. I was told that they are similar to 85°C. I didn't have a very good experience at 85° C so I haven't been back in 3 or 4 years now. I must have come late because when I came into the bakery there were hardly any pastries left. There were some but not a large & vast selection like the other places. Entry is quite similar setup, grab a small tray & tongs then mosey yourself about the small bakery. What I noticed the most was the amount of pineapple buns that were spread across different trays & cases. This got me curious so I grabbed 1. Seems to be a popular item. I also found a lot of pork related buns for savory pastries amongst the other sweet treats. Picked up only 4 pastries which caught my eye: 2 taro buns, 1 taro danish, and 1 pineapple bun. There were also cream buns, a coconut bun, garlic bun, cheese & sausage bun. They also had some cookies and a small selection of cold desserts such as a mango mouse and macarons. Forgot to get some pictures of their menu but they also serve drinks such as smoothies and milk tea. Upon checkout, I noticed one of the employees bagging their l loaves of bread and from afar it looked like raisin bread. I didn't catch any on display so I'm guessing she was prepping them before selling. Will have to stop by another time to see if I can pickup some bread. Customer service wise was ok. I went up to the register but it took awhile before she noticed me at the counter. She did greet me, but then she said something else which I could not understand. I think she thought I was Chinese but I didn't say anything back because I don't speak their language, oops. Overall, I think it's a nice shop to stop in and support local. I really like the taro bun which has a lot of filling!

Not helpful what so ever. Dont want the business. Did not even attempt to work with me. I showed them a picture and they just said no we can't do it clearly they don't need the business.

3.5 stars I was in the area and craving for egg tart. I end up walking out with $50 worth of pastry. How did that happened? Like most places, their prices increased significantly. Best to come here in the mornings and on the weekend. They have more pastries/buns selections and it's fresh. The custard in the egg tart has a good consistency and not too sweet. If you like taro, try the taro danish or taro bun. They are my favorite. The ham and egg bun come in second for me. Pastries/buns is a solid 4 stars. I also got a coffee/milk tea. It tasted more like a milk tea with lots of condense milk. I had to add instant coffee when I got home. I wouldn't get that again and it was $4.50 for a small! Drinks is a 3 stars. Overall, it's still a good place to grab breakfast and buns. I heard the cakes are really good and will have to order a birthday cake from here in the future.

I ordered a cake 1 day before Fathers Day, I wanted a 8 inch chocolate cake, blue frosting, with fruit toppings with special writing...the size was 6 inches instead of 8, the frosting was WHITE instead of blue, there was NO fruit toppings, the special message was WRONG, they made a VANILLA cake instead of CHOCOLATE, and all they offered me was $3 back for doing the wrong cake flavor . Mind u the cake was supposed to be ready for pick up at 10am but it's 4:50 and they're still working on the cake since they messed up. I feel they should give me HALF off or a free cake for the inconvenience and the big error, I'm so irritated right now. I'm never coming back. Terrible all around experience, nice ppl but I'm never coming back.

This review is for my mom's birthday cake and I'll start with my sister's verdict: "I hate it because I just want to devour it all." (...She'd make a good Yelper, huh?) It was a fruit basket cake and the whipped cream frosting was pretty much perfect; super fluffy and had the right tinge of sweetness/creaminess to it. The sponge cake layers weren't too dry at all!! (The amount of fruit basket cakes I've tried in the past with dry cake layers.....too many). I could nitpick that the fruit filling was of canned fruit, but I'll give it a pass as January doesn't really have any good seasonal fruits for cake and honestly I was too distracted on how good the sponge cake layers and frosting were to be concerned about it lol. At least there was no skimping on the fruit. My mom is pretty picky with cake and she loved it (score!). Pre-ordering the cake was very straightforward. Ordered a couple of weeks in advance at the bakery and the cake design (shown in the pic here) is one of the available staple designs (no fancy shmancy customization). Staff was super sweet. I haven't tried the pastries here (bakery has the tongs-and-tray format similar to that of 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe and Paris Baguette), but I definitely recommend getting a fruit basket cake here!!

I ordered a custom cake and 3 dozen cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and they were delicious. The cake design they made and the spooky sticks were mine. The cake had fresh strawberries inside and the cupcakes were so fluffy and moist just absolutely amazing. They also have savory snacks that are super yummy too!

I love the drinks. The pastries are super good as well! Drinks: they use all fresh ingredients, it is honestly my favorite boba style drinks that I've gotten anywhere, they're delicious. Pastries: the breads are super delicious. My favorite is the coconut bread, all the flavors are incredible and they are very soft!

Happy birthday to my Mama! I stopped by this morning and was able to pick up an 8in fruit cake. They seemed super busy prepping another large cake order but was able to prep one for me after a short wait. They also have a variety of buns and pastries for picking. On the menu they also have a small dim sum and drink selection. This little shop is tidy and a nice go to spot for a quick treat. The cake was delicious! The fresh fruit with whipped cream and cake was delightful as it was not too sweet. Perfect for the Asian palette. We served 10 people and still had 1/4 of the cake leftover to give you an idea how many this is will feed. We'll be back!

8/14/2022 Very conveniently situated on my outing this morning... I love bakeries, and pastries! Cute and small store, so easy to find what you want.. Doesn't help when one is undecided and hungry.. Of course I found many things to bring back to the house for everyone to try .. I got a punch card because of how much I purchased.. When I am down again, I'm getting a cake!

Tasty baked treats and even a little dim sum are available here. Note: the dim sum is very limited. I tried the pork Sui Mai which was very good and the steamed chicken bow was okay. It's a nicely decorated shop that also provides decorated cakes. I didn't think their cakes were particularly intricate / sophisticated but they look okay - many are on display.

Ordered a cake for my daughter's first birthday and gave them a reference photo of what I wanted. They were able to recreate it and even helped me bring out the cake to the car. Nice service and the cake was delicious. Not too sweet either which is what I wanted.

First time here! It was recommended by my cousins. We were not disappointed! Huge selections of pastries, desserts, boba, smoothies, and even cake ordering. Their cake display was incredible and beautiful. I know where to go to order cakes for upcoming birthdays! When you enter, there are trays near the door. You take the tray around to the stations and grab what you want with their tongs. Everything is bagged in plastic. My daughter's highlight was the macaroons since they make them with a wheat flour instead of almond (nut allergy). Very impressed that they had ingredients card for each of their items - thank you!! Register was easy and fast! Don't forget to get a stamp card. Loved it here! We will be back again!

I am not able to provide response to Yvonne, but Yvonne was not the person involved in conversation I had with sales lady nor was she standing by to witness the conversation. The sales lady was trying to initially sell me the cheesecake on display and said I could purchase and she could take off ribbon. There is no sign by cake that says for display only. Only after she went and spoke to someone else jn back room/kitchen did she come back and say it was display cake. Also the sales lady did not mention that they could reapply the whip cream and it would take about ten minutes. She simply said ribbon could not be taken off which is why I asked for cheesecake instead. I also did not make the comment I could not wait one minute longer. I said I was in a hurry-this part is true. I am an honest person and feel the need to write a response to your comment, esp as half of the statements made in your response were not true and you were not present to corroborate the conversation. There were not several other customers standing behind to hear our conversation that "I didn't want fresh cheesecake" with "confused faces." A defensive response from the business with untrue statements is not a genuine apologetic response for poor customer service. Also, perhaps sales lady english as second language led to some of the poor communication from her, so suggest having interpreter if needed

My family loves the cakes from here because it's made very delicately with the details. I've gotten several cakes from here and the price is pretty average maybe even less than others when comparing to maybe Pegasus Bakery or even an American cake from a grocery store. But we love it here because it's very fluffy and light. Sometimes I would receive a cake that is a bit over frosted where you can see they may have filled in some gaps with more cream because the cake was too small but all in all, they have pretty quality cakes. The service here is great. Every time I order a cake or walk in, the staff will call me to remind me of my cake pick up and are very nice to work with. It's a small store with other pastries as well. The ambiance is pretty quiet because it's a small establishment but they have lots of pastry choices, cake choices, drink choices, and I saw that they started made to order dim sum choices too. If you call in to order your cake, you will be asked to pay over the phone. They also have a loyalty rewards card. If you spend a certain amount and collect the stamps, you receive a complimentary drink or pastry.

Customer service here is fine. Must pre order custom cakes about 4-5 days in advance. We tend to stick to the fruit filled cakes but seen this Japanese cheesecake. Tried it and would skip it next time. This cake is supposed to be light and fluffy but it was not. It was dense and hard. The fruit made it look nice but I would skip this one next time. Go with what you know is the lesson here. Cake was about $40. Pricey. Wouldn't do that again.

Great bakery in the Laguna area. When I came in at 11AM, a lot of the items were fresh. The Chau siu bao was warm and tasted delicious. I enjoy how this place doesn't use too much sauce and the meats weren't too fatty. I also had a pineapple bun and I enjoy how soft the bread was. Nice location and service was very friendly.

There was hair in the custard filling of the mooncake - so gross! We had to toss the rest of the mooncake, which cost $49 for a box of six small pieces.

We love this place! My daughter is obsessed with their chocolate glazed donuts with sprinkles and they are conveniently located next to mygym! The cakes are also beautiful and so delicious! The red velvet is rich and moist and the chocolate mousse cake was an unexpected favorite! They have teas and coffee drinks including boba drinks, macarons, egg tarts, custards and chocolate croissants. There is literally something for everyone! Everything comes well packaged and many items are even individually wrapped. The shop is clean but the service is hit or miss. Transactions are very business-like. And as long as you are quick and ready to go everything runs smoothly and you will have some tasty treats!
