T Café Review - South Street Seaport - New York - The Infatuation

"While you’re at the Tin Building, it’s entirely possible that a few hours will pass without you even noticing. You still might want to hit a few spots—but you’re so tired already. T Café is where to go for something with caffeine, and it’s one of the few places in the food hall with lots of windows. For a lighter breakfast or lunch, you can get things like a fresh-squeezed juice or overnight oats made with wild bee pollen. You can always add a bagel or a pastry from the bakery or pâtisserie right next door when you’re checking out." - Kenny Yang

T Café is one of the first spots you'll see when you enter the Tin Building--and it's such a charming little stop. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it's perfect for a quick break, especially on a nice day when you can sit outside and enjoy a bit of people or bird watching. My husband and I popped in for a mid-day pick-me-up and ordered a cold brew, tropical iced tea, and an almond croissant. The tropical iced tea was light and refreshing, and the cold brew had that smooth, energizing kick we were looking for. The almond croissant was buttery, flaky, and just sweet enough from the almond filling--such a lovely treat. The staff was warm and friendly, and service was quick. The whole café has this retro-meets-luxury vibe that makes it feel a little special, even for a casual coffee stop. Definitely worth a visit if you're exploring the area or looking for a cute place to recharge.

T cafe's pastries definitely underrated. I love their croissants, bread, cookies and all kinds of cakes, fresh, and super delicious. My favorite raspberry croissant in the town, one and only raspberry pistachio cookie - must try, fruit tarts and canele also excellent. Don't miss this place.

I went to spend the day at the South street Seaport to enjoy the hot weather and the waterfront. I first got a decaf americano coffee at TCafe, located on the first floor of the Tin Building. It was delicious and made perfectly. I enjoyed it at one of the outside covered tables.

The Tin Building was in walking distance from our hotel and we stopped by for breakfast. The entire experience was great. We both had croissants and coffee for breakfast and focaccia and a caramel tart for later at the T Café. The coffee was alright but the star of the show were the bread and pastries. The plain and almond croissants and the Pain Au Chocolate were outstanding! The focaccia was light, crispy, flavorful and the caramel tart had the right balance of caramelization and buttery richness that made it a pleasure in every bite! I could try one of everything I'd be very happy and probably unable to move, but it would be worth it! We look forward to spending more time trying other pastries on our next trip to the city!

Only reason why I came in here out of emergency was to charge my phone they have easily available outlets. extremely overpriced ($20 ice coffee & bec sandwich) for school cafeteria garbage didn't have decaf coffee and even after I tip them in advance still got my drink order wrong. Typcal snarky attitude hipster and it's no wonder why all of us are getting sick and tired of tipping for bad service to these younger generation cry baby victims. Just get a classic bacon egg n cheese for $6-7, coffee $1.50 from a vendor and get great quality and have a happier day.

Located inside the Tin Building on South Street Seaport by the Sightseeing Cruises. We were walking after dinner looking for a Café to sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and dessert. We bumped into the Tin Building with T-Cafe sign, so we walked right in. When I saw the different types of pastry selection, I was speechless and couldn't make up my mind, lol. Shout out to 'Andres R', who was super friendly and took his time helping us decide what went best with coffee, excellent service! I ended up having their 'Basque Cheesecake Slice', and my husband had their 'Black Forest Cake Slice', both accompanied with regular, hot coffee. Very delicious and satisfying for sure. The Café serves cheesecake, cake, cookies, croissants, tarts, pies, doughnuts, sandwiches, yogurt, and other snacks. There's inside and outside seating areas to enjoy your food. We had a great time at T-Café and enjoyed a peaceful evening.

TCafe is a vibe today come say hello to Mochi, she is a 10 month old Bernadoodle who lives in the neighborhood. We are advocating for a clean safe financial district. As this neighborhood transcends from office to one of the most disirable Neighborhoods in the world. Along my usual Espresso fix, I got Palais De Theis Jardín Tropical, Manukuora honey, peach preserves & a pistachio cookie. The baristas are super nice all the time. The one that took care of me today was - a girl named is Rai I think.:::🤔 she’s super sweet as I was making the line I was trying to remember our last conversation where she recommended I read the Ethereum paper by Vitalik, I had told her I was a bitcoiner and read that paper. But she emphasized that Ethereum was designed as programming language for the study of behavioral economics and I made a mental note to read it. (I have not)… As I finally got to the front she asked me my name I said Hoiping…and despite being super busy she seemed really curious so I repeated which I rare for me. I then explained that I didn’t remember her name nor expected her to remember mine because names and the self are abstractions. In modern cognitive science Thomas Metzinger argues that the sense of a unified self is a "transparent self-model," a representation created by the brain. He suggests that this self-model is an illusion, a simplification of complex neural processes.

I have visited this café many times and always look forward to their freshly baked pastries. My favorites are the Banana Walnut Muffin and the Dark Chocolate & Local Fig Tart. Their Christmas special, the Caramel Chestnut Tart, was a delightful treat. I also enjoy their Matcha Latte or rooibos tea, which pairs perfectly with any pastry. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making each visit even more enjoyable. This is a fantastic spot with delicious offerings that never disappoint!

Yelp
Located inside the TIN building, this French cafe has an amazing collection of bakery and pastry goods. All their items have authentic quality and taste. They also have a cafe that serves hot and cold beverages. There's sitting area right in front of the drink station. So far we have tried cookies, cake slices and breads from them. We were impressed with every single one of those. The associates are really friendly. They look for customers in the line who need help. The ones in front cafe station are also very friendly and work hard making all those drinks through out the day.

Yelp
First time checking out the Tin Building and stopped by T Cafe to grab some mid-afternoon coffee. Sad that they ran out of the ran out of the Saffron Golden Latte because I think I would have really liked the ingredients. Instead, I went with the Brown Butter Cookie Latte. The maple flavors were subtle but the ginger flavors and brown sugar vibes were very prominent. The coffee was solid but I didn't feel like the flavors really mixed that well. There are a few tables available and probably more outdoor seating when the weather is warmer. The cashier lady wasn't the friendliest but got the job done. The wait wasn't too long on a busy weekend afternoon. I am looking forward to trying their other seasonal items!

Yelp
Coffee and beautiful baked good? Say no more! Caneles are fabulous, and the Basque Cheesecake is so fluffy and light. They go well with a classic coffee or cappuccino. Sit outside for a little view of that famous bridge and just enjoy your day.

Yelp
You can't walk by this place and not end up buying some of their delicious looking pastries. I opted for the pain aux raisins as well as the custard pastry. Crispy, moist, with perfect flavors. Will be returning for more next time I am in the area.

Yelp
Busy new cafe inside the Tin Building. Iced coffee was decent, but really liked the Saffron Golden Milk Latte. There's a bit of wait, but the staff was extremely friendly.

Yelp
This place has a delicious French bakery! We got the Mont Blanc which has a chestnut cream. There's seating around to try all your desserts or to read a nice book.

Yelp
Donut and pastries were delicious. Cream was very fresh and it was a fantastic pastry. The coffee was a very good consistency and the place in general was a unique experience. 5/5

Yelp
The Tin building website lists the hours as 0pen at 8 am 7 days. I am there and they are not open. Get it together!
