New Nightlife Destination Système Opens on Montreal’s Plaza St-Hubert — And More June 2022 Restaurant and Bar Openings | Eater Montreal
"In Villeray this new neighborhood gathering place operates as coffee and croissants by day and apéro by night; created by artist Patrick Bernatchez with Guillaume-Van Roberge and chef Jean-François Devillemure, the pared-down offering features pastries and bread from Boulangerie Automne, charcuterie, fries, natural wines, and on Sundays bubbly and oysters from L’effet-mer, with plans to expand the menu in September. Current hours vary through the week (see listing)." - Valerie Silva
We came in for lunch and love the place. Very nice atmosphere. Coffee and food is delicious plus fast service. Will be back to check the night vibes.

The food is really tasty, the place is cute, you don't have to wait for getting a place during brunch time, and the servers are friendly. They change their menu sometimes (maybe with season). However, the price is slightly high for the quantity served of some plates.

We have often wondered why we don't have more europeen style café/bars in Montréal.
Most of our cafés close early... And our bars open late. We would love more places where you can go all day. Where, in the morning they serve you coffee and pastries and the evening is for cocktails. Well, @tabac.villeray is such a place and more! They even do food in between and we are very much here for all of that.
We loved our creative cocktails and can't wait to go have a coffee during the day.
The vintage decor gives this relaxed, "simpler times" vibe with a dash of modern mood lighting and the friendly service made us feel quite comfortable like we could visit on a daily basis.

The food was very excellent and the service was very good. Since I went during MTL Table they had a special menu and it was all super innovative! The only thing was that dessert wasn’t as amazing as everything else but overall would come here again.

Great new bar in Villeray offering a range of beers, ciders, house cocktails and wines. Love to see the French concept of a bar-tabac in Montreal. They’re open in the morning too and offer pastries, sandwiches and coffee.
The house cocktails I had were all delicious and the service was incredibly friendly. Great addition to the neighbourhood and hoping to see a few more vegan options as they grow!

Super cool brunch place. The atmosphere is really chill. We ordered the mushroom toast and the lox, both were really good. I highly recommend the mushroom toast!
