We had a late night craving for Greek food, and ended up seeing this place on Google. We made the 35min trek down. Warm, cozy, lively atmosphere. Beautiful decor, and great host. We only ordered Saganaki, Tzatziki, Greek salad, Fatoush salad and the baklava. Everything was 10/10. Taste, presentation, and temperature. Saganaki was one of the best we've ever had. Authentic taste, perfect char. Salad dressings were bang on, so good.

This place gave me the best first impression! Walking down 3rd street and hearing great Greek music on the background?! And then being greeted by the friendliest host, who was teasing and joking with us. Oh and the food… was mouthwatering! I dare say it was the best-tasting Greek food I’ve had in LA (and I’m Greek). However the positives kind of stop there, the server in his attempt to make jokes and mess with us, did it a little too much so as we could not get proper information, he then messed up our order and, once we did order, he was nowhere to be seen, such that we had to chase down our bill for like 15 minutes. I found that particularly odd given his enthousiasm when we were deciding whether to sit and what to order. While the food was incredible, it was very very pricey. You can say it was worth it? Maybe but still, be prepared to pay. Besides the downsides, I would recommend this restaurant, just because of the food.

Nice outdoor seating with good lighting and toasty warming lamps! We enjoyed: Melitzanosalata, Grilled Stuffed Jalopenos, Saganaki, Octapodi, Garlic Shrimp, Cauliflower, Gyros, Flaming Paidakla. Everything was tasty, hot and reasonability priced. The atmosphere was casual and friendly with attentive staff. When we return to Hollywood, we will absolutely be looking forward to another meal here!

Tabla is a nice restaurant on West 3rd St offering delicious Mediterranean fusion cuisine. They have indoor and outdoor seating that are both comfortable and spacious, perfect for bringing a good group of family and friends. The “Starter Platter” is a MUST. It features 3 of their most popular starters, melitzanosalata, Hummus & Tzatziki and Grape Leaves. The melitzanosalata* is roasted Eggplant diced with sweet onion, fresh tomato, garlic & greek herbs. It’s delish!!! Definitely my ultimate favorite!! I also love their octopus, it has a really nice “grilled” taste and perfect to eat small bites with the hummus. The also have flatbreads made fresh in their fire oven by the bar, you can actually watch your pizza get cooked in front of you. They have a really good salad and seafood options which I love!! Ambiance inside is perfect, it’s dimly lit with good music in the background. There are also funny and quirky quotes on the wall that are great conversation starters. You may also meet the owner at the bar who we’ve seen frequently and takes real pride of his restaurant. The staff are really friendly and the service makes your dining experience enjoyable and carefree.

Google
The food was excellent. The service was cruel. I asked if he had a Merlot. The man said yes, I said, I would like a glass of Merlot. He asked would you like a Cabernet, it’s better? I said no, a glass of Merlot. Not willing to open a bottle of Merlot, the man brought me a glass of Carbernet, one sip and I sat it aside. He of course had the $16 charge of Cabernet on my check. I paid it, knowing I would never return or recommend the restaurant. Perhaps this man is damaging the business as to why it was empty on a Friday night. Plus the stacked chairs in the window mage it appeared closed.

Google
What a wonderful restaurant. We were welcomed so warmly. The owner offered some wonderful samples. The sample platter is a must as is the saganaki.

Google
I booked a table for lunch today through OpenTable and checked google maps where it said the restaurant was open. We drove 25min, had a hard time finding parking, paid for valet to end up seeing the door closed, nobody inside, and chairs piled up. No sign or any communication through the booking platforms or google. So frustrating!!! Gladly we found Oste nearby and loved it.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere, quality service and excellent food choices. I like this place and it's open late!

Yelp
This has to be one of the worst restaurants in all of LA to have a date. We went in for Valentines dinner (BIG MISTAKE) because right off the bat they fucking scam you. On the online reservation there was absolutely NOTHING indicating a set menu, but as soon as we walk in the most rude waiter says "there's a set menu and you can't do anything about it." Mind you we wanted this restaurant because we didn't want a fixed dinner because of my dietary restrictions. Sadly even if I would have gotten sick, they did not care. In all of LA every other establishment made it clear if they had a fixed menu which is why we sought out this one. They did not let us cancel and charged us $50 on the spot if we wanted to leave, so we stayed. ADDITIONALLY the music was blasting at full volume and I'm not exaggerating. I can hear myself and others better at a fucking rave. Waiter takes our order while he's talking on the phone and reminds us that tonight is going to be $200 for two people while yelling on the phone. So ok fine, we committed to the set menu. And guys, things get progressively worse the entire night. The waiter begins to bring out every single piece of food that we ordered all at once and crowd the tiniest table ever. We didn't even get a chance to breathe before a new plate came out because they wanted us out of there in 30 minutes. And then...our entree comes out on top of a fucking table with no space and this waiter puts a plate of food ON TOP of food we didn't finish eating. Like he put a fucking plate on top of actual food. Are you fucking kidding me. The food didn't taste bad. It was ok in case anyone wanted to know. But as we're eating, couples come in and leave immediately because they don't care about the cancellation charge and do not like the attitude from staff enough to stay. As this happens the owner and head waiter are actively arguing and the waiter has his arguments with other couples right in front of us and the restaurant is pretty small so you can hear EVERYTHING. I witnessed at least 10 arguments during dinner. They didn't give us our last course for 20 minutes because they forgot about us, and it was like the worst baklava I've ever had in my life. I ate a few pieces and then had to spit out the rest. Ok so we reach the end. We get the check and this motherfucker adds on a large party charge which was a part of the Valentines price and a set service charge (and I get it, a lot of restaurants do that and people need money so I'm not gonna hate) HOWEVER all of that extra charge was an extra $100 for the worst fucking dinner ever and they put all those fixed charges because they already knew the experience was going to suck beforehand. And friends, the cherry on top was that we were charged $20 for water. LIKE HELLO. Didn't even let us know beforehand that water was going to cost money. Water that they didn't even serve us. This fucking asshole waiter said that shit last minute and that was the worst part of the night somehow. We said no to any drinks because we didn't want to pay that additional charge for a place that already sucked. This place is a bunch of rude crooks and no one should come here. Please start clear if you can.

Yelp
Loved it!! Came for a late night dinner upon learning the kitchen doesn't close until 2 or 3a. We arrived around 11:30p and it was empty..we had the place to ourselves. There were some people close to the establishment (owners maybe) having hookah outside. We were immediately greeted and given our choice of table. Hubby had the Cadillac margarita, and it was STRONG! So I opted for the blackberry margarita at our servers suggestion, and it was smooth! I did upgrade to Casamigos for the second one. We had fried calamari, grilled shrimp, and mozzarella/ feta flatbread. EVERYTHING tasted good. The calamari was fresh and cooked well. The flatbread has excellent flavor, and the way you could taste the grilled flavor of the shrimp was superb! I'd highly suggest giving this place a shot, especially for late night bites! The inside has cool phrases around the wall to keep you entertained. It's a quaint spor that is decorated well and just enough space. They have plenty of liquor options and tapaa selections. We'll probably go back

Yelp

Yelp
The food was remarkable. The staff's hospitality was exceptional. The ambiance of the place has its unique touch of welcomeness and home.

Yelp
The food was fine, it was the fees that can provide trouble for large groups - I got the Moussaka which was okay! It wasn't very warm but overall interesting and a dish I would try again (similar to a lasagna style). All of our dishes came out very staggered which also meant that some food got cold as we waited. Our waiter didn't check in on us often, which is probably because of the large group service charge that we were unaware of (it is not printed on their menu). For groups of 4+, pay close attention to your receipt. We were paying separate so the waiter provided a sample receipt to check our orders on. At this point, we should have realized the service charge, but I at least didn't understand that it was a full receipt. When he then came around to pay, he showed just due amount, and not what we were being charged for. When questioned about it and asked to look at the charges, he said that was just the price of the food, not mentioning the service charge. This meant that everyone double tripped for service that was not great. This again is our fault as we didn't pay attention to the full receipt but it was not as clearly laid out as I have experienced from other restaurants.

Yelp
I want to start off by saying I made a reservation on opentable and when we showed up there were no available tables. We sat at the bar and 30 minutes later a table was free for us. We were flexible so it was ok but nothing was offered to make up for it which I feel like is custom! The only other negative I would say was the owner was constantly yelling at the employees or taking things out of their hands so he could do it more quickly. Just made us a little uncomfy! On to the positive!! I'm giving it 4 stars because the food really is incredible! We ordered the humus, falafel and saganaki to share. All were absolutely amazing- highly recommend. We also ordered the gyro plate, Tabla Tagani chicken, Salonika shrimp, and the garlic shrimp. The meals were large and had amazing flavors. Definitely a cute little spot, with good drinks and food. Pretty pricy and you might need to be a little flexible on seating even with a reservation. But still definitely recommend!

Yelp
We went back to this place hoping for a good experience, but were only left with a bad taste in our mouths. Don't patronize this place. They engage in shady practices.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I ordered a Lamb Chop plate for me, and a Greek salad for my girl, and it was all tastey and flavorful. Our first time here to eat. Place is very bright with the Greek decorations all over the restaurant. I love the hummus and salads here too. You must come to Tabla By Sofi.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here since the old Sofi moved, so we finally had the chance to try Tabla by Sofi last night. Making a last minute reservation on Open Table was a breeze, and, when we couldn't find any street parking in the area (the only major drawback to the location - permit only side streets and full street parking), I called and the wonderful gentleman who answered the phone told me we could park in their lot directly behind the restaurant! Score! We opted to sit at the bar as the only inside table was by the door and it was a little breezy, but the staff was very accommodating and offered to turn on heaters for us if we wanted to sit outside. The bartender gave us fantastic, quick service, and he was readily available without being obtrusive. Everything we ordered came out quickly. We made a meal out of some of their small bites as it was late and we were coming from another event. We started with the Greek mezze / appetizer platter, then ordered the spanikopita and the falafel. I'm a huge tzatziki fan, and Tabla's tzatziki did NOT disappoint! It was garlicky and cool and delicious, and the perfect compliment to the spanikopita we ordered. The mezze platter also came with some heavenly pita bread that I almost ordered more of because it was so good! The eggplant dip was also fantastic, and the hummus was good. The only disappointing item was the dolmathes. The rice was a bit too firm and dry, so we only ate one of these. Also, for $20 for the platter, it would have been nice if there were 4 dolmathes, but, since the one we had wasn't the best, I didn't mind that there were only 2. I wish Yelp had a half star system so I could give them 4.5 (and not 4) stars. My husband ordered the falafel and said it was truly the best falafel he's ever had, so we will definitely be back for the falafel, tzatziki, spanikopita, and the awesome and friendly service! We look forward to trying more items when we're in next time.

Yelp
Fantastic authentic Greek dining. Family owned and family involved. Gary the owner was nice enough to come out to my table and visit with my family. We got to know him a little bit in the history of the restaurant it was very personalized. They have permanent outdoor seating so it's really nice. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious it's the best baklava I've ever had. We had all different dishes including the cheese on fire spanakopita! It's a great atmosphere and a great place to go for a weekly dinner. Thx Tabla we'll be back.

Sophie E.

Yelp
We had a reservation, and when we arrived we were the only people there. The waitress came every 3-5 minutes rushing us to leave the entire time until we got our entrees and then they decided they were going to close 2.5 hours early and literally kicked us out. Told us we could take our food to go or they would clear it. This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

Yelp
Great food very fresh We came over with great friends and we brought our young kids, The menu has a wide variety of food that exceeded our expectations. We order for the kids flatbread and they end up eating it, and also eating our food (if you go with kids to restaurants you know that can be a challenge with food) By the way we had a great time and we ordered amazing sangria. Great music Great service

Yelp
This place gave us food poisoning. We left at 11:30 PM and experienced food poisoning symptoms when we got home at 12. It's really disappointing since we really enjoyed the food while there. I think with it being so understaffed, the restaurant can't take time to make sure food isn't cross contaminated. We won't be going back. This has been a very traumatic experience dealing with such severe symptoms. Update: Got a call from the restaurant manager shouting at me for leaving this review instead of trying to him asking how he can help. He told me to never come back and I will make sure I never do. Second update: currently in the emergency room due to the food poisoning. This is horrible. Don't go here

Yelp
Made a reservation on opentable and surprisingly empty on a Friday night. The food was delicious, fresh, authentic and the portions just right. The service was great and the food came super fast. It's a small place and there's only street parking. Big fan of the hummus platter, such fresh and fluffy pitas, the flakey spanakopita and my fave of the night the the musaka (ground beef, eggplant and tomato mixture with a rich bechamel sauce) I wish they had a larger wine selection as they didn't have much that night. Great little date night spot - really hits the spot if you are craving Greek!

Yelp
I went here the other night after making a reservation on Open Table. Then three days AFTER we ate there, I got an email saying the restaurant cancelled our reservation. So I didn't get my Open Table points. There were like three occupied tables in the restaurant. I know they know we were there.

Yelp
This new restaurant opened less than a block from my house several days ago. Walked by here yesterday while walking my dog. Today I had a business associate with me, we decided to try them for lunch. The waiter is an extremely nice guy. We talked about his hometown in Guatemala (Quetzaltenango) which I've been to. He is extremely nice, clearly aiming to please every patron. So he gets 5 stars. Also met Sedrak and Merek, 2 of the owners I believe. Again, very nice people willing to go out of their way to please each patron. So I give the staff here a solid 5 stars. Love the clean modern décor. The place is comfortable, just the type of place I could kick back in with a cocktail as soon as they get their liquor license. So the décor gets 5 stars as well. Now comes the tough part of my review: The Food. I'm going to be detailed, define what was right and wrong with what we tried. Octapodi I always test a restaurant by their Octopus. And sadly this dish had issues. Sedrak realized I did not like it, went back into the kitchen to remake it. So the second time was better for sure - but, there were issues. It was the wrong type of Octopus to grill. They asked me to return Friday for the right Octopus. What came out was really chewy. It was hard to eat. While the second plate was a tad better in taste it was chewy as well. I strongly recommend they take this dish immediately off the menu until they have it right. It also had a fishy taste and lacked seasoning. I really tried to eat it the second time it came out, just could not. It was a 1 star octopus dish is all I can say. Kibbeh The Kibbeh were served with some yogurt. They were okay, 3 star kibbeh. They had some good flavor, were a tad greasy and the yogurt served with them was appropriate as they truly are Lebanese beef croquettes. I was in Lebanon last month and was expecting better kibbeh. But they were definitely okay and we did enjoy them. Hummus They gave us a complementary dish of Hummus to try. It was quite good, creamy with perfect seasoning. I prefer my hummus a bit less smooth; however, this was 5 star hummus we ate today. My lunch partner wanted to lick the bowl! I would definitely eat their hummus again and again. This is a new restaurant, they need to work out some of the bugs. Fortunately the folks here are incredibly nice and that warrants me trying their cuisine again. I will come back here for dinner and hopefully will be able to change my star rating.
google avatar

Yelp
10/10 would recommend, WILL come back. The consistency of flavor in every dish is amazing. Rice : So fluffy and tasty Veggies: Fresh and well seasoned Meats: Tender Hummus: Wife stamp of approval And they light up the lamb on the table by the way. Price is very much worth it. If Micheal is your server make sure to tip!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Gary our waiter was so personable and fun. The food was excellent, truly awesome. The music playing had me dancing through out my meal. What fun I had!!

Andrea L.

Yelp
Best Greek food I've had! We will certainly be back even though we don't live in the area. Support small business!
google avatar

Simon R.

Yelp
What a joke of a "Greek" restaurant. This place won't be around in a year guaranteed. I got the flambé lamb chops. VERY average, plate was soaked with alcohol which made the vegetables inedible, meat itself had no sear or char, just a sad lamb chop. Best part was the price.
google avatar

Caroline E.

Yelp
The food is delicious; it's a bit pricey compared to the portion served! Maybe that's LA prices. Their menu is different from most Greek restaurants. The dish I ordered wasn't very hot and seemed like microwaved. The reason why I gave 1 star is that the guy gave me water worth $7 without warning me. He asked if I wanted sparkling or regular & I said regular. It was imported expensive water. Why didn't you tell me from the beginning without any surprises ( plus the water prices are not on their menu, so I didn't expect that)? It was a silly prank ! I didn't like it at all. Just be straightforward with your customer. Honesty is key plus your menu is already overpriced !!
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
I decided to try this place with my girlfriend and we were super dissatisfied with the service the food was bland and rather pricey a water bottle was $7. I wouldn't recommend this app lace to anyone
google avatar

Magda S.

Yelp
Terrible experience. I made an open table reservation. After sitting at the bar for 20 minutes we still didn't get a table and left. Why do you accept open table reservations if you don't have enough tables available? I haven't gone through an effort of making reservation to be offered a bar space.
google avatar

Michaela S.

Yelp
You won't be disappointed with the food and service of this place . Love the lamb chops , shrimps and fish .

Rachel S.

Yelp
One of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the city! The food is amazing and the owner is a great guy who is passionate about his restaurant. Free parking in the back!!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Restaurant was incorrectly booked through Open Table. Called restaurant and they refused to cancel and are forceably charging $40 for our family. When my husband called to cancel this reservation, the host rudely said it's not his problem and hung up. This kind of behavior is not called for when a mistake is made.
google avatar

K K.

Yelp
Food is ok. The service was bad; waiter was pushy and rude, tried to blame us when he mixed up our order, and constantly trying to upsell us on dishes and rushing us to place our orders.

Alyssa V.

Yelp
Great food! We always enjoy coming here and frequent the place often. Best hummus anywhere and the baklava is to die for. Friendly staff. Small but beautiful place. Highly recommend!

Patrick H.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience for our party of 4. Overpriced. $14 for a bottle of tap water. $9 for a very small bowl of tzatziki. Mousaka was barely warm and the potatoes were hard as rocks. Service slow. Charged $56 for a bottle of wine that was listed at $52. Unfortunately didn't notice that until too late.

Lev G.

Yelp
This place is fantastic - best big bean appetizer ever. Drinks are rad, chicken salad is incredible, and the pita is made fresh. What a find!
google avatar

Frank W.

Yelp
Perhaps one of the worst dining experiences I have had in years! The food was mediocre at best. The only good dish we had was the saganaki (flambéed cheese), which was quite good. The spanakopita were clearly right out of the freezer, weren't cooked fully, and were gummy. The octopus was chewy. The giant beans were bland and weren't hot enough. And the vegetarian moussaka was pretty flavorless. We also had a mediocre bottle of Greek red that the waiter recommended. Oh, and the service. Not a single other table in the restaurant seated (that should have been a warning sign!), and the two waiters were so engrossed in their phones that we couldn't get decent service. I would NEVER eat at this restaurant again!

Alex G.

Yelp
Awful food and waiter. The waiter thought he was really funny making fun of everyone but really he was insufferable. Got sick from the food.

Arthur A.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots to go to. Tabla tigani and the lamb chops are the best. Staff are amazing and courteous, you don't have to wait for long until the food is served.
google avatar

Sandi R.

Yelp
Thank you Gary for taking great care of us. It was an amazing way to celebrate! This is some of the finest food. It's as if we were sitting at a restaurant in Greece. We appreciate your friendly service and impeccable attention to detail. Every drink and dish you brought was a gastronomic adventure. We're grateful to Trevor our server, Mike the bartender, John the owner and Gary again! We'll be back!

Yelp
After doing some shopping at Rodeo, we wanted to grab some descent Mediterranean food around, and found this place. Not too big, relatively new, only 4-5 tables inside plus few more outdoor. Octopus appetizer wasn't the best one we ever tried, could be better, but other entrees were quite tasty. The whole sea bass was recommended by the owner himself, he said he would pay for it if we don't like it. It was very fresh, pretty big size & cooked just right. We had lamb kebob but next table was having lamb chop which was served with flame on the plate on the table side. Maybe we will try the chop dish next time. Overall, pleasant atmosphere & good food.!
google avatar

Soni S.

Yelp
I'm impressed of how good the food is. I ate their salad and it was very fresh. Their hummus to my taste is super. I ate in a lot of Mediterranean places and often time I found that their hummus is sour. This place has a good hummus. I just love how it taste. I tried their lamb dishes. Love it. They also have a great selection of Greek wines. Bathrooms are clean. It's a plus to me. I will definitely come back again and again. Recommend this place to try, at least once!

Yelp
I felt very conflicted writing a poor review during Covid but considering how horrible our experience was I felt it was necessary to share. There were so many things that went wrong, I honestly don't even know where to begin. But I will say service and food are just very poor quality. My friend and I arrived on time for our 7pm reservation, this was to celebrate my birthday. We got seated promptly, the restaurant wasn't full but did have guests. The first red flag was it taking a long time to place a drink order. I thought it was extremely weird how they wouldn't give us tap water. They said "due to Covid we can't give tap water." I have NOT heard this reasoning when I dined at a restaurant a week before. So we ordered sparkling. We placed our food and drink order at the same time (7pm). Our sparkling water and my margarita cocktail (which tasted disgusting btw) came in a reasonable amount of time. We didn't order a lot of food so this is where it gets interesting. We ordered: 1) the starter mezze which is 3 dips and grape leaves 2) fattoush salad 3) flaming feta 4) lamb kebab WE WAITED 2 HOURS FOR FOOD! What was so peculiar in my opinion was how no one came to our table to sincerely apologize or offer us anything on the house. I had to ask a server if it was possible to get bread since we were starving. He brought us pita but the overall service and communication was beyond unacceptable. 3 other tables around us were visibly angry, 1 table left. We finally got the flaming feta, fattoush and mezze. The only thing that tasted good was the hummus. We barely touched our food. We basically spent almost 2.5 hours at a restaurant eating pita. The fattoush salad tasted very off, I love a fattoush salad, I order this regularly and something was off taste wise. We couldn't even eat it. My friend felt the feta went sour/bad, it had a very bizarre taste. The entree never arrived 2 hours later so we canceled it. My friend and I agreed this was our worst dining experience we have ever had. Between beyond awful service to really bad food, this was just a very odd experience considering the good reviews. Someone needs to send Gordon Ramsay from Kitchen Nightmares to this place to help them out, at least on a Saturday night.

Yelp
The service was terrible and the waiter was so rude and said, "don't give me an attitude" when he brought something different than what we ordered and asked for the correct order. We were more than willing to still pay for what he had brought, and he was still atrocious. And then he brought a business card with a QR code for us to leave a review "either positive or negative." Yelp
Came here for a party of 7 last night. The environment was super cute and welcoming. The staff was warm and friendly at arrival. The food was average at best. Our waitress was nice but she never mentioned to us that fountain sodas where not free refills. My husband and are sober and spent more on sodas than people did on their alcohols. We payed nearly 40 dollars for refills we assumed where free. Communication could have saved my review but unfortunately they dropped the ball.

Yelp
Food is simply amazing. Fresh, delicious and great presentation in a fun intimate space. Best Mediterranean food I've found in LA!!

Yelp
Travelled to Beverly Hills for my daughters 11th birthday. We were meeting my cousin and his wife for dinner so there would be 7 total. I tried to get reservations for days but no one would allow reservations for a party that big. I finally found Tabla and they allowed me to make the reservation. To be honest, this would not have been a place we would have chosen but I'm glad we did. It's a cute little place. We sat outdoors and it was really nice. At one point live music started playing inside. We started with several appetizers, all of which were very tasty. Our meals were also good. I had salmon and it was one of the best salmons I've had. My younger two wanted flatbreads but couldn't get them because the flatbread chef didn't show up. The rice had noodles in it which was disappointing since I cannot eat gluten. I wish they had normal rice, it would have been great with the salmon. We had san peligrino and the kids had sprite. None of us had alcohol. Our bill, with tip was about $370. I would definitely go back since my salmon was so good. I will just leave the rice off next time.

Yelp
This review is for Tabla and for Open Table. First Tabla. If you're looking for Greek food, let alone good Greek food, Tabla is simply to be avoided. The food is inferior in every way. Cold, thin watery soup, tasteless unattractive mains---the shrimp were uncleaned and still entirely in the shell--- and the worst Baklava ever. The room was ugly---entirely "non-Greek"---and VERY noisy. Amateurish service. Wine was plonk. From 1 to 5 it was 0.5. And expensive especially for what you get. And not one Greek employee in sight. Then to add insult to injury, the restaurant said that we didn't show up. I have a $230 receipt to prove that I did. That way I can't leave a review on Open Table and the restaurant doesn't need to give me 1000 points. Shame on Tabla and shame on Open Table. I will never use either again. Yet another reason to disdain Booking.com. Dine there at your own peril. George A.
