My friend and I went on a week night during happy hour. The atmosphere was chill with a fun, funky flair. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was welcoming and helpful. She helped us decide on our food and her recommendations hit every time. The food was amazing and delicious. I also appreciated that the menu provided information on the Georgian food and culture.

Outstanding casual Georgian restaurant in Park View serving delicious food and great vibes. I absolutely fell in love with downtown's Supra after visiting last year, so I was super excited to learn that the creators had opened another location further north. The restaurant is far more casual than its downtown cousin, with almost industrial-like furniture, cute murals covering the walls, and upbeat pop music flowing through the speakers. The servers are all super welcoming and friendly, creating an all-around incredible atmosphere for a relaxed dinner or drinks. The food, however, is just as amazing as I remember. I visited for a chill dinner with a couple of friends, and the three of us split five dishes, including the roasted summer vegetables, khachapuri, fried catfish, a three-piece order of khinkali, and roasted carrots. These five plates were the perfect amount of food, and honestly totaled to only ~$25 per person, which is pretty affordable for such a variety and quality of cooking, especially in DC. It's impossible to not get a khachapuri at a Georgian restaurant, and this delightful traditional cheesy bread never fails to hit. The bread was super soft and pillowy, and it went beautifully with the hot melted cheese. It can be a little bit messy to eat and is oh so decadent, but it is absolutely worthwhile. The khinkali are another delightful Georgian classic. These dumplings are positively stuffed with whatever filling you opt for, with a thin, beautifully steamed wrapper that has a slight snap and does a great job holding all the fillings inside. They usually have two meat and one vegetable option, which rotates seasonally. We got their summer vegetarian option -- which I want to say was sweet potato? -- which had a delightful earthy, slightly sweet flavor and went perfectly with the tangy sour cream. Vegetarian dumplings can often feel like an afterthought, but they did a great job ensuring that their khinkali was packed with flavor; the mashed sweet potato was loaded with roasted red ajika, scallions, and fresh herbs, giving it a ton of flavor and a bit of freshness to keep the dish light. The fried catfish was super light and crispy, and the fish inside was nice and tender. It went great with a squeeze of lemon, and the creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy jonjoli tartar sauce was a great pairing. The vegetables, however, were the real star of the show. The seasonal grilled vegetables were so simple, yet so beautifully prepared; they had a delightful char on the outside, and were so tender in the center, and they were served with a bright and flavorful tomato satsebeli sauce. The summer combo included zucchini, bell peppers, and asparagus, and it was clear that the veggies are remarkably fresh. They were topped with fresh sprouts and pomegranate arils, which added a great pop of tangy sweetness to the dish. Of course, our other veggie dish was just as delightful -- the roasted carrots carried the same delightful char as the grilled summer veggies, and were just as tender and sweet on the inside. They were topped with a tangy green ajika sauce and spiced yogurt, a well as walnuts and pomegranate arils for a bit of crunch and bursts of tangy, sweet fruit.

We came from a region where Georgian food is very popular. We love it very much and are trying to find something similar in our neighborhood. Tabla is a place where the food is delicious. Honestly, we barely got up from the table. In addition great service and very hospitable staff. The only disadvantage is that not all the dishes meet Georgian standards. I did not like the dough in the khinkals. But in general the restaurant left a pleasant impression. Thank you!

Since I was alone I sat at the bar & ordered a mocktail with apple juice & pear soda, good but mostly ice for the price. Up next the Beet Pkhali. Delicious but a fairly small portion, then croquettes which were on an all day happy hour special & were good. I couldn't decide which Khinkali to order so I ordered all 3. 1st came the sweet potato which tasted decent but we're still cold or frozen in the middle, the lamb were a bit warmer but still luke warm so when the beef & pork came I ended up burning my tongue by accident. When the bill came they didn't ring me up for the price of 6 pieces but 3x3x3 & when I mentioned it she said they didn't do it that way so I'd suggest updating that in the menu because that's what it said. They did apologize about the under cooked food & sent me home with another order even though I hadn't complained, merely mentioned it when she asked how it was. Nice people behind the bar for sure. Overall it was good tasting if not exactly authentic & a little on the pricey side for the portions. I would likely eat there again if I had a hankering. I've only found one Georgian place in the states so far (Chicago) & a handful of places scattered with a dish or 2 so it was a good treat. Apparently they're affiliated with the other one in DC but I hear it's more upscale & I was turned off by the reviews. Glad someone appreciates these dishes enough to make an attempt at it & you gotta love the melting pot that is the US, the entire staff was speaking Spanish which made me smile

I traveled all the way from Maryland to try out some Georgian food at this restaurant. The place has a very distinctive and unique decor, which added to the dining experience. I decided to order several dishes to go, and although they took around 15 minutes to prepare, the wait was worth it. However, I must mention that the portions of the dishes were smaller than what I had anticipated. Nonetheless, the flavors were delightful, and overall, it was a nice experience.

Friendly & fast service and delicious food. We went with a Georgian friend who gave it high praise and it did not disappoint. Tabla offers great Georgian fusion dishes that are perfect for family style sharing. Try a bit of everything :)

First of all, they charge two dollars extra for sour cream that usually comes as a side. They don't tell you about it that it costs extra. It took the waitress a very long time to bring two teaspoons of sour cream. The dumplings dough was very think and Bland and needed the traditional sour cream that always comes as an option, or the butter. Could use more flavor, and agree with another review on the same issue. Just in general, that is way too much dough to meat proportion. The interior decorating is very strange with some weird stuff that i'm all hanging off the ceiling. Agree with another review below, this is not enough to make me want to come back. The georgian dumplings had very thick dough. But the stuffing of terragon in lamb was delicious. I feel that prices were a bit high. Appetizers were 11 bucks for a tiny plate. They should allow to mix and match khinkali to get an assortment. I wanted to get 6 at the highest priced option of 19 dollars, with 2 of each, since it was my first time at the restaurant, on maybe 3 pieces with 1 of each flavor. They don't let the customer get that and it's a pity because I just want to taste what the restaurant has to offer. Plus: loved having a georgian cookbook there to read while I waited.

It was our first time eating Gregorian food. We ordered the three Khachapuri special (3 for $33), lamb chops and salad plus a red wine flight for my friend. The Khachapuri were good. Favorite was the Elote. The original Ajaruli was a little plain but still tasted good. The Maryland crab cake Ajaruli was just okay. I don’t think the sauce blended well with the crab and cheese. The lamb chops were tasty. The salad was delicious with a nice sized portion for the price. My friend wasn’t a huge fan of the flight and said it tasted like “musty grapefruit”. This place is great if you come with friends and eat family style. Our waitress was very friendly. I would come back to try other Khachapuri and their soup dumplings.

Arrived on a Friday evening around 6, there was no wait and we were seated immediately. We got the lamb burger, lamb and tarragon dumplings and kubdari. The lamb burger was perfectly seasoned with so many spices and herbs topped with a sauce that paired perfect. The bread was a little too much for the bread to meat ratio. The soup dumplings were good but again, too much of the skin compared to the meat. The kubdari had the perfect ratio and was well seasoned but there was a hair found in my meal. The server was very apologetic and took it off the bill. Everything was good but didn't love how much bread was in everything.

All of the food here is delicious. We visited with friends as part of restaurant week, allowing our party of four to try a wide cross-section of the menu. That included the: Ajika Carrots, Elarji Balls, Georgian-Spiced Wings (honey-glazed), Georgian Avenue Fries, Khinkali (Pork & Beef), Georgian Green Salad, Eggplant-Walnut Salad, Pork Ribs, Fried Loqo, Ajaruli, Steak & Pepper Ajaruli, Lula Kabab, Chocolate-Walnut Truffles, Pelamushi, and Yogurt Khrashunit. Anything served with the guda cheese dressing was delicious. That included the fries and the wings. The Eggplant-Walnut Salad was surprisingly one of my favorites. The Georgian Green Salad included a lot of fresh ingredients. That dressing on both were delicious. The lamb kabob was another standout and was seasoned perfectly. The pork ribs were very tender. The Pelamushi was the most unique item, both in taste and texture. Everything was unique with beautiful plating. We also tried a flight of the Georgian amber wines. I really liked 3/4 of them and would have been happy with a full glass of any one. Although, after seeing the 60 Minutes piece on Georgian wines, I was expecting them to taste very different from your average whites. They're very full-bodied, but I've been just as happy with other lighter wines. This place gets very busy (they don't take reservations for parties under 8) and that was the case when we were there. They moved our table twice before we got our drinks -- once to accommodate a larger group and again to get us away from a drafty door. Unfortunately, that led to some confusion with our orders. We really had to keep track that we got each dish from each course and they got out of order (dessert before the entrees, etc.) Staff was super kind and pleasant. There were only two servers for the whole restaurant and one of them was also host!

Picture this: Khinkali, the enigmatic dumplings. They're like flavor-packed treasure chests wrapped in dough. Each bite, a divine revelation! As for moi, I had a rendezvous with Chicken Tapaka - a chicken thigh that had clearly attended a culinary finishing school. It strutted its stuff beneath a red onion salad, and the result was a taste explosion that could rival fireworks on the Fourth of July. Seriously, flavor for days! Now, let's talk about decoding this menu. It's like deciphering the Da Vinci Code of flavors - intricate, mysterious, and utterly satisfying. So, dear foodie comrades, let's make a pact. We had never tried Georgian cuisine before so everything was a guess as to which entrees and dishes would appeal to 4 adults with wide-ranging tastes. Our picks: Pork & Pomegranate BBQ Megruli - a very flavorful variant of a small flatbread pizza; Lamb & Tarragon Khinkali - these dumplings weren't a hit with anyone: kinda bland & maybe lost some of its appeal after cooking off; Ajika Carrots: excellent, full-length & delicious; Roasted Red Beet Argula and Georgian Green salads: both were very tasty; Lula Kebob: lamb with tomato-based sauce, was a hit; Pork Ribs: very good; Chicken Tapaka (thighs): especially with spicy Ajika sauce - delicious; Roasted Butter Squash (Bazhit): a fine accompaniment to the rest of our meal. Our carryout experience for such a large order was well done. The kitchen & staff double checked to ensure that all items were included in our pickup packages. We also appreciated that everything was packed in enviro friendly packaging. The restaurant appeared to be clean and well-lit; all patrons seemed to be enjoying their dining experience while we waited for our order to be ready to go... Next time visiting DC, will definitely return and look forward to trying new & different items from the menu!

DC's 1 fast-casual Georgian spot: @tabladc We started our meal with glasses of white & amber wine and a spead of classic and popular Georgian dishes - Khachapuri Ajaruli which was personally, my favorite but come on how could it not be look at that cheese pull) - Eggplant-Tomato Megruli a cheesy megruli topped with a savory georgian ratatouille (ajapsandali) of roasted eggplant, tomato, and peppers - Mushroom & Herb Georgian soup dumplings (khinkali) with a filling of seasonal mushrooms, tarragon, dill, and other fresh herbs - Ajika Carrots with green ajika, Georgian-spiced yogurt sauce, walnuts, pomegranate -- we loved the touch of pomegranate! - last, but not least, Georgian-Spiced Fries with guda cheese dressing, fresh basil, ajika ketchup Obviously the girls ended off our meal with a round of cocktails only a few metro stops away in Park View -- go check out @tabladc

They don't take reservations but for a Saturday at 1pm, there was plenty of space. My friend and I split the lamb soup dumplings; the carrots appetizer and the Georgian salad. Of the three, the carrots were my favorite. Very flavorful and slightly warm. The Georgian salad has good flavor and also lots of ingredients and textures but had too much vinegar. For the dumplings, the proportion of soup v meat v dough was off to me. Would have loved more soup and meat. Would like to return and get the khachapuri!

Tabla is fun and funky, a bit of a contrast to it's more upscale sister restaurant, Supra. While Tabla is more casual, it's not a fast casual concept at all. Five of us were seated at a communal table on a Saturday night, without reservations. Our server was friendly, though service was a bit slow. My absolute favorite Georgian dish is kachapuri. We ordered the ajaruli and it was delicious. We also shared the khinkali, another favorite. I tried some of the salads that were ordered. There was a butternut squash one (it may have been a special) that was amazing and I don't even like butternut squash. I hope they add it to their menu and bring it to Supra as well. The eggplant walnut salad was also tasty. My friend suggested dessert, which was a good call. We got the chocolate walnut truffles and something else. The truffles were quite good. I don't remember the name of the other dessert, but the texture and taste is reminiscent of sesame crunch candy. And of course, we shared two bottles of amber wine. Visiting Tabla makes me want to join the Tabla/Supra team on their next Georgia trip, and while I won't be able to this year, it's on my list. Until then, I'll be returning to try more Georgian cuisine.

I've been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed the food. It's a good idea to come in a group to eat family style, that way you can taste the variety of dishes Tabla offers. I think the star of the menu is the fresh hot breads that com with gooey or saucy specialties in the middle, almost like a break-apart dip. I've had the breakfast khachapuri and the spinach & artichoke ajaruli. Piping hot fresh bread with a perfectly soft interior consistency and a subtle bite to the exterior, ready for dipping in the over east yolk or the cheesy veg dip. Definitely recommend! Onto the other dishes; I had a fresh butternut squash salad with perfectly carmelized shallots and pomegranate seeds. Felt more indulgent than healthy. The soup dumplings - I tried the lamb and the pork. The lamb are really good, with a nice minty finish which perfectly complements the game. The pork soup dumplings were a bit of a miss, though, only because it didn't have much flavor. But the dumpling exterior are hearty and tasty. The only other dish I did not enjoy was the chicken thigh tapaka. Although the meat was beautifully presented and the skin crispy, it seemed to have no seasoning at all. It did come with a spicy harissa sauce but the meat itself was bland. The meat dish I do recommend is the lamb and beef kebabs. I only wish it had more meat. It was far less meat than the chicken dish at the same price point, but far more tasty. It's worth it to try the Georgian sodas. I had the tarragon flavor which was bright green and very tasty and refreshing, not overly sweet either. I don't recommend ordering tea- it's Lipton, and it's $5, which is wild pricing to me. Dessert: chocolate lovers will enjoy the rich chocolate truffles. Lovers of something not-too-sweet will love the Gozinaki (mix of nuts and seeds with honey). Tasty& satisfying (beware of biting down - let it melt in your mouth first so you don't crack a tooth! The service is quick and friendly. No complaints. The ambiance is fresh. It's a nicely decorated spot with a very D.C. flair. Airy and lots of lively natural light, and even has lovely outdoor seating. I definitely recommend this place. One of the best parts besides the food itself is that it's not overly crowded (at least the two times I've been). It's easy to be seated, so give this place a try!

My goodness was this place unexpectedly awesome. The food was waaay better than I thought it would be. We ordered the fish for appetizer and it was so fresh and crunchy. For the entree, we got the pull pork pizza thing, and the chicken tapaka. Both were awesome, just wish they had a white ranch-ey sauce for the chicken dish. The pulled pork pizza item was so flavorful, I couldn't believe it. Really good. And the mood was pretty chill. Now my only issue were the drink and dessert. My drink was a tad too sweet (apricot mule) and the dessert wasn't the best for a sweet-tooth like me. The truffles were ehh. But service was solid and price was decent. Glad we are here.

This was my first time visiting this location, and we definitely enjoyed it! The ambiance and Georgian-inspired decor were unique and endearing, and the staff was very friendly. We came on a Saturday afternoon and had absolutely no wait! In terms of the food, we were very pleased with our khinkali! As someone who has been making khinkali (and eating it) for years, these were not as great as some of the ones I've had elsewhere; however, if this your first intro into Georgian food, this a good place to start!

Tabla was great! I got the mushroom soup dumplings and the ajaruli. The dumplings were phenomenal and the ajaruli, while a bit too cheesy for my taste, was fairly good as well. Both were super well priced as well. The server was nice and our food came out fairly quickly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and it was easy to get a table on a Saturday night.

I've only had Georgian food once prior to eating at Tabla, but I can now confidently say that I am a big fan! They don't take reservations, but they seem to have a pretty big space so we were able to get a table right away. My friend and I split the traditional Khachapuri bread/cheese dish and the mushroom/herb Khinkali dumplings. Both were absolutely stellar, and I would recommend them highly. That said, the Khachapuri is definitely pretty rich and cheesy, so keep that in mind when ordering. My friend also got the chicken thigh sandwich and said it was pretty tasty. The prices were fair, but not altogether the cheapest place you'll find in DC. If you're craving Georgian food or just want to try it for the first time, I would highly recommend Tabla. Interestingly, I think they're owned by the same people as Supra (a more well known Georgian restaurant in DC) so I'd give this a shot if you're looking to try the cuisine without the higher price tag.

Came for RW, was a great deal, had the elargi balls to start which was cheesier than any cheese balls I've had before, surprisingly good, maybe the best bite of the night, then had khinkali (lamb) which were delicious and had a good amount of soup in them, then had the steak and cheese khachapuri which was quite good, most people probably wouldn't finish it themselves, and then dessert, I had the pelamushi (a grape flavored soft gelatin thing) and my friend had the chocolate truffles, both were fine but nothing special--not surprising though as Georgian cuisine isn't know for its dessert. Good service, great value at $40. Would definitely come back.

My wife and I came here last month for our first ever Georgian meal and loved it. We started with the Ajika Honey Wings and Mini-Ajaruli on the Happy Hour menu along with the Dilis Sangria and Megobrebi Bright Land beer. We then ordered a Flickr of the unique amber wines that are native to Georgia which are wines from white white wine grapes with grape skins not removed. We also had the Steak & Pepper Ajarulli and three each of the Mushroom & Herbs and Lamb & Tarragon Kinkhali soup dumplings which were delicious. Our desserts were the Pelamushi grape pudding and the Yogurt Khrashunit which we also loved. The decor is nice with both Georgian and DC related artwork inside and a nice patio outside. The servers can get busy but are very friendly. We certainly look forward to returning!

Easy five star review. Start to finish five stars in every way. This menu is stacked with delicious options. I wish we could have tried every single kachapuri, which is a Georgian cheesy bread. The eggplant was absolutely a standout, and the chicken was tasty too! The mushroom soup dumplings cured me of every cold I've ever had. They were thick, soupy, peppery, and dense in the perfect way. I'm coming here instead of the pharmacy next time I get sick! The cabbage salad is a great starter too--super light, almost like an "oriental salad" without the ramen seasoning. Tasty! The ambiance and service are both top notch. The playlist was truly no skips. You order off QR codes, and I encourage you to leave your tab open. You are going to want to keep eating.

Khachapuri is one of my favorite foods, so when I heard Tabla was a Georgian restaurant I had to check it out! Tabla was cute restaurant with a fun interior. Pictured are 3 different kinds of Khachapuri, and I liked them all. The best was definitely the eggplant and tomato megruli which I highly recommend it! My friend got the wine here as well and told me it was excellent.

On a Sunday for lunch this was the perfect place. No lines, not busy and food was excellent. My first time trying Georgian food. They have some beautiful seating outdoors and also inside. my only issue was the the ordering system is very difficult to use. You cannot order from the wait staff. After a while I couldn't find my tab to order more food. And it kept on asking for my credit card again and again. It was just a hinderance to use the app while trying to catch up with a friend. The food is tapas style I think but plenty food and the price is excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommended for brunch too.

I am a big fan of a Georgian food, I have been meaning to try this place for while now. This place is definitely a 5 stars, food was so good, service was amazing, our server gave us great wine recommendations. There a very nice outdoor area with flowers, I highly recommend this place.

Very cute and fun decor here! I love the branding. I was excited to find this 1 of 2 Georgian place in the DMV Area. (Other 1 is sister restaurant that's more upscale). The staff are super friendly here. I got take-out which didn't take too long. I got the Ajaruli Khachapuri (classic one), but we didn't get an egg. It was still very delicious since it's bread and cheese! I decided to give the Khinkali (soup dumplings) a try even though I didn't enjoy them the last time I had them at a different place. I got pork and beef soup dumplings and did not enjoy the flavor really. There wasn't much soup... I'm glad they had an informative brochure that tells you to eat them upside down and don't eat the button on top. The Butternut Squash Satsivi was not bad! I enjoyed the flavors and healthiness, but needed salt.

We were in the neighborhood and we're looking for some light food to tide us over until dinner when we came across this Georgian restaurant that sounded interesting. We hadn't had Georgian food before so was excited to give it a try. The place had a modern aesthetic with both outdoor and indoor seating. Since it was ridiculously hot outside, we ended up eating indoors but the outdoor space seems great for when the weather is better. My wife is lactose intolerant which unfortunately meant most of the menu was off limits because it had dairy, including the breads. But the staff pointed us to the off the grill section which would work. We ended up trying out the Pork Mtsvadi which was essentially pork kebabs topped with onions, pomegranate seeds, green onion with a side of green ajika. It was delicious! When you get a bite of all the things together, it was perfect blend of flavors. The pomegranate seeds especially helped give it a little something extra. While that's all we got this time so that we didn't ruin our appetite for dinner. I'll have to come back to try some of the other dishes.

Great meal, service! Finally got to this neighborhood spot (but I have to go back for happy hour!) Came in for a later meal on a Saturday, got a table for two near the door right away. I appreciate the no frills menu on the walls and laminated on the tables. We got mushroom dumplings to share (so tasty but a bit too doughy for me) and the beet pate (Beet Pkhali). I loved the pate, so fresh, the herbs and pomegranate seeds added a lovely flavor. My dining partner got the Eggplant Megruli which was so filling they took half home! I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb burger and fries. Juicy meat with ample toppings and unique bread. Fries were very crispy and hot. I'll be back for more!

This food was YUMMY! The chicken wings were super crispy on the sweet size. The French fries were sooo good, thick hand cut fries. The sandwich bread yummy, and better than the meat in the sandwich was the pickles for me . I loved the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. It all tasted soo fresh. The mushroom soup dumplings delicious! Different but good!

Went to this restaurant for lunch it was good food was flavorful and presented well. Unfortunately service was pretty poor. They ask you to order food through your phone which is fine with me. Website unfortunately has a few problems at first it would not load the menu then it would not let you remove items. I was only able to clear the cart and start over. Once ordered our food came out of order one app came first then the 2nd came last. One member of our groups entrees came Much later than the rest of ours. Overall some slight service improvements would improve the experience. As far as the food it was good. We order appetizers Khachapuri Megruli which stuffed bread with cheese inside and on top. Overall the cheese blend was flavorful and well balanced. It is rich so if you want something a little lighter get the regular one. Then we got khinkali with lamb and tarragon. The dumplings were nice and flavorful have a nice soupy center with well seasoned lamb. Is very savory with a nice level of spiciness. For entrees we got Lyula Kebab and chicken thigh tapaka. Both were good. Lyula had great flavor was very savory lamb kebabs but extremely tender. Served over a tomato sauce that has the right level of spicy mixed coolness of tomato. Chicken thigh was the best. Very crispy and tender along with a sauce that adds a spicyness that balances the dish. Overall I would return to this restaurant.

Tabla introduced their brunch items and I checked it out! Their shakshuka ajaruli was to die for! I think all the ajarulis are hits . The miss for me is the brunch fries which were very oil soaked. I would have ordered 2 ajarulis than the fries.. The ponchikis were soft and filled with custard but it was very light (not as sugary as a donut). The sandwich was really delicious! For any commuters out there, they are on Georgia Ave so it is strictly street parking and no nearby parking garages.

Wonderful, interesting food served in an informal but comfortable setting with great service. The lamb dumplings were the best!

Tabla is the sister restaurant to Shaw neighborhood favorite Supra (https://www.yelp.com/biz/supra-washington-2?osq=supra). Unlike it's more established sibling Tabla gives off more of a relaxed feel with it's outdoor seating, modern decor (the bathrooms have a unique funky wallpaper), and its locale along the burgeoning Georgia Ave corridor a few blocks from Columbia Heights and Howard University. I popped into Tabla mainly cuz I'm frequently in the area picking up bagels across the street from the Park View location of Call Your Mother (BTW - I personally think this location of CYM makes the best ones!). Parking can be a nightmare, so be prepared to nab a spot a block or two away and do some walking. Having been to Supra a few times, I'd say the varieties of Khachapuri at Tabla are equal if not better - mainly because this is their specialty. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to the national dish of the Republic of Georgia, so I usually stick with the either the Megruli and the Ajaruli. The breads are baked in a way that they come out with crispy crust but are still very soft and chewy. The Mergruli is topped with traditional Imeretian salted cheese and while it may resemble a pizza in appearance, it's flavor is at once more complex. The Ajaruli is probably what most people associate with Georgian Khachapuri. It has that distinctive oval shape, sulguni cheese blend, organic egg, and a pat of butter in the center. Take your fork to pop the egg yolk, mix with the butter, and then tear off the crusty edges for dipping. The weather's been nice, so lots of the other folks were enjoying their meal with beer/wine, but I prefer this type of hearty cuisine with a strong cup of the house made espresso. If you've been to Supra, this is entirely a different dining experience, but still one I'd recommend checking out if you're in the area.

I love this spot for a nice happy hour or casual dinner. Their happy hour is great: 5-6:30pm with discounted wine, cocktails, and small dishes. Absolutely recommend the Khachapuri (cheese bread) and Meskhuri Mojito. The Khachapuri is personal size, but can be shared if you want something small - definitely let it cool for a few minutes and you can pick it up and eat it like a pizza! Ordering is handled via QR code, and you pay through that medium, as well. They have a fairly large patio with indoor seating options. When it's nice out, the front walls are garage doors that are opened so the whole place seems al fresco.

Host and server took care of our group well. Very attentive and answered any questions we had. They also had a great playlist in the background.

This is the sister restaurant for Supra with a fast casual dining style. I dined with a group of people so I got to try a little bit of everything. I'm disappointed that they got rid of Khinkali Qvelit which is the cheese stuffed dumpling. I tried their mushroom dumpling, and while I love mushrooms, did not like the filling for their mushroom dumpling. The Megruli, a white sauce pizza, was delicious! The Butternut Squash Satsivi is topped with this creamy walnut satsivi sauce that was the star of that dish! For dessert I enjoyed the Chocolate-Walnut Truffles. The amber wine isn't in my wine palate. Bathrooms were spacious.

I was skeptical at first because I never tried Georgian food before. I was blown away! I loved that the menus explained things about Georgian culture, how to eat the food, and the origin of some of their wines. I would definitely go back again for the HH as well.

Me and a good friend decided on Tabla on a random Tuesday - best decision ever! This is a small spot that uses the QR code menu + app to order and food/drinks just appear. I failed you, my fellow Yelpers, but not taking a single picture...but I can still report the following: Service is awesome! I was struggling with getting to the full menu and an employee helped me log into their Wifi so my experience was seamless. We were able to get the scoop on items on the menu. We ordered the Georgian Green Salad (delicious!!!); Roasted Cauliflower; Georgian-Spiced Fries; and, Lula Kabab. All deliciousness!! Try it!!

Fantastic Georgian food. The decor is chic and the food is oh so delicious. My friends and I split a few things from the menu. The salad was fresh and the meat was so tender. I think the stand out item was the egg khachapuri. It was cheesy and oh so good. I can't wait to go back.

Tabla might be the most underrated restaurant in DC. I went here on a whim with a friend and left super impressed. I was so pleasantly surprised with the sheer tastiness and reasonable prices at Tabla. We sat ourselves and ordered off their online menu. I ordered the imeruli, which was absolutely incredible. It melts in your mouth and has a memorable, savory taste. I'd come back here just for this dish. The mushroom dumplings were soft, tasty and packed with flavor. I loved the seasoning of the mushroom stuffing. This was my first experience of Georgian food and let's just say right after this I made a reservation at Supra (Tablas sister restaurant).

I wrote a negative review of Tabla last week and got a nice response saying the will "take care of it" I have not heard back. So much to taking care of it. I suppose that means they ignore negative comments Steve

First time eating Georgian food and it was delicious. Very nice and attentive servers. Clean and cute design.

Tabla is my current hyper fixation spot. Top things: The Pork & Pomegranate BBQ megruli, Georgian green salad and Lula kebab (if you get this delivered -reheat it taste soooo much better heated up). If I'm feeling like switching it up: pork ribs, butternut squash and roasted red beet arugula salad are all still super tasty.

This is the place when you are looking for a change. The 3 khachapuri special saves some money from buying them ala carte. The best of the 3 was the pork, pomegranate BBQ imeruli. Cheese, pork, pomegranates, cabbage, and a BBQ sauce opens up a new flavor profile, taking you down a wonderful path. Next we had the spinach, artichoke one that was nice, but had only a small amount of the ingredients. Our third one had greens mixed in with the cheese, resulting in good flavor with a healthy mix of greens. We chose the Georgian green salad, which was a tasty dish, but didn't stray from salads that you can find in other cuisines. Staying with vegetables, we loved the butternut squash satsivi, that again brought you back to Georgia with a nice mix of flavors behind the roasted squash. We finished with mushroom mtsvadi, that was a must have if you are a mushroom lover. Tabla delivered a unique eating experience, which was hard to do in this era of copy cat restaurants.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in DC. This is the more casual version of Supra. Georgian food is hard to find in my neighborhood and I'm so glad I've found it here! My favorites are the Ajaruli, Imeruli, and khinkali. I've been several times and every friend I bring LOVES it. The best cheese pulls you've ever seen! There's no other place that satisfies my cheese obsession like this place does.

From the creators of Shaw's Supra comes Table, a casual Georgian restaurant in Park View across the street from the popular bagel shop Call Your Mother Deli. Here's what's to love: 1) Food: They take traditional Georgian dishes like khachapuri (stuffed bread) and khinkali (giant soup dumplings) and add a few twists. For example, they have a dish that puts pork and pomegranate BBQ on khachapuri (It's delicious!). Their pork and beef dumplings are HUGE so consider ordering three v. six unless you're trying to feed a group. Our toddler loved the imeruli, bread with a cheese filling. The lamb kabobs are well seasoned. 2) Space: It's a beautiful space built well for the pandemic. The walls pull up creating an open space. There are seats inside, but the outdoor patio is even larger. There's also a bar area. Inside are two murals including one that's the D.C. flag with dumplings as the stars. Overall, Tabla is one of the best takeout food we've had in D.C. since the pandemic started in March 2020. However, I will note the takeout process wasn't as easy as other restaurants. You can't schedule pick-up ahead of time. Instead, the online menu only has an "ASAP" button. Since I wanted to pick up after work at 6pm, I called around 4pm. They told me to call back at 5:20pm to place an order for 6pm. I called back then and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Since I couldn't get there in time, they told me to call back at 5:40pm. I did and was told it was a 40-minute wait. I'm sure that the system is built to help the staff, which I support, but be warned it doesn't make for a good customer experience. Overall, Tabla is an EXCELLENT experience that will make you fall in love with Georgian food.

Tabla is delicious but feels overpriced. Their lunch special is 3 khachapuri for $25 where each one is about 6 inches in diameter. The soup dumplings are almost impossible to eat based on size and lack of spoon served with them. If you're in the neighborhood I'd go but I would make a special trip.

We are huge fans of Supra, so wanted to try Tabla! We did take out and were not disappointed. The khinkali were AMAZING, pork and lamb skewers delicious (and were nice sized portions). We also had the beef and potato khachapuri (mtskheturi) but very much prefer the imeruli or ajaruli though that's personal preference! Can't wait to stop by and grab a bite on their patio.

Loved this place! Food is supper delicious. Great khachapuri and the soup dumplings were supper good too. Loved that you can order coffee with a shot as well. And I loved how much vegetarian and vegan options they easily accommodate everyone in our parties different dietary needs. I will definitely be back!
